Today, the Islamic State (otherwise known as ISIS or ISIL) has emerged in the Allkhamar (all-kh-hammer) Mountains in Voltojdan (vole-toe-juh-dan), Azraq.
The Azraqi military has taken all measures to crush the terrorist group in the past, but it seems the efforts may have been futile. Azraqi forces are in the process of surrounding the mountains and containing the threat until they can drive the militants out. Azraqi president Dasun al-Amanhi has asked that all civilians take measures to secure their towns in the event of an IS raid. After a recent oil boom and subsequent influx of money in Azraq, it's no surprise that IS has shifted here.

Today, the Islamic State militants concluded their first assault on Azraq. 73 towns and cities were invaded within a 7-day period. Between 1,400 and 2,300 people are presumed dead or captured by the militants. The Azraqi government has declared a state of emergency and is asking for help from surrounding nations. So far, no other government has responded to the requests. Within the last month, 3,000 Azraqi soldiers have abandoned their posts for fear of being killed by the IS militants. The fate of the country, as well as her people, is unclear.

Today, the Islamic State issued a message to president Dasun al-Amanhi, warning him to step down and give control of the country to the militants, else face a terrible death. The president released an official response soon thereafter claiming that he would fight until his last breath if it means stopping IS. The military has conducted nearly 100 airstrikes and small-scale raids against IS, but no almost no ground was gained in the process. With upwards of 38% of the country currently under IS control and no sign of foreign aid, the future is looking bleak for the people of Azraq.

At 3:43 PM today, the Islamic State militants hijacked three commercial airliners. The first airliner crashed into the center of Azraq's most populated city, Elsiamid. The second airliner crashed into the financial district of Azraq, Dia Karthe. And finally, the third airliner crashed into the Capitol building, killing nearly every government official. The president's remains remain missing, but he is presumed dead. This is a dark day for the Azraqi people and will surely be remembered as one of the most brutal crimes ever perpetrated for generations to come. Nearly 11,000 people were killed in the attacks.

At 7:35 PM today, the Islamic State released a video showing the brutal torture, maiming, and killing of president Dasun al-Amanhi. Throughout the video, you can see militants cutting, beating, and choking the president. Near the end of the clip, the militants rip the president's limbs from his body and then slice open his throat. The video garnered 300,000,000 views in just under a day across the Internet. To add insult to injury, Islamic State militants are rioting and rallying in the streets near the sites of yesterday's attacks. The fight for Azraq is all but won by the Islamic State.

Today, the Islamic State officially claimed control of Azraq and all her territories. The entirety of the IS has migrated to the country and is quickly creating weapons, vehicles, food, clean water, and other supplies to continue their quest for control of the Middle East. Various nations, including Russia, Armenia, Greece, the UK, Sweden, and the United Stated of America have all denounced the actions of IS in Azraq, but have not decided whether or not to intervene in the conflict. According to the Islamic State's new laws, no media shall enter or leave the country, and the Internet is completely blacked out. The future is most certainly dark for the people of Azraq.
The Situation
Azraq has been seized by the Islamic State.
We need your help.
Upwards of 13,000 people are dead and IS troops are moving into the country.
Every single government official was killed in one of three terrorist attacks on September 11, 2014.
The president was tortured to death on camera.
If the Islamic State continues to grow in Azraq, they will eventually attempt to expand to other regions.
Azraq has money, factories, and oil. All the resources IS needs to grow.
So we implore you. Send help.
