Shaggai wrote:This topic was threadjacking the liberal education thread, so I made this on Agritum's suggestion. What are your views on Neoreaction and related things?
Neoreaction (abbreviated as Nrx, also known as the Dark Enlightenment) is a set of far-right political views, mostly based on rejection of democracy in favor of something resembling monarchy. Many nrx also support patriarchy, and some support eugenics. It covers a pretty wide range, from radical transhumanists to people who simply believe that democracy is a bad idea. We don't have any self-identified nrx on NSG as far as I know, but if there are any lurking around, feel free to post.
Personally, I think that they have very interesting ideas. They tend to pose good questions, even if they get the answers wrong, and the ideas behind their beliefs are useful.
