After a long period of delays after delays, the federal republic had finally organised one of the largest conferences it had done in years; diplomats and delegations of the New Roma Republic and Gjulich were expected to arrive soon, and federal president Orolev Udnik was in his best suit waiting for their arrival. It was an exciting day to behold, as this would be one of the first official conventions that Retiva would be hosting at the massive, urban capital city of Pogarnova. The conference would take place inside the government house of Retiva, where it would receive foreign guests and high-ranking officials from the two great nations that were invited to signed the Mutual Economic and Defense Cooperation treaty.
The outcome of the treaty would form the Mutual Economic and Defense Cooperation Treaty Organisation, otherwise known as MEDCTO, and allows both economic and military benefits for member-states. There will also be an inclusion of a student exchange program, the exclusion of a visa requirement for citizens in MEDCTO nations to travel from one member-state to another, as well as work there. The policies and regulations will be discussed at the conference, as many things will need to be proposed, refined, and agreed upon.
President Udnik prepared his bulk of documents for the upcoming conference, and sighed. The government house was buzzing with activity and security was high, with at least a regiment guarding the house, as well as a platoon present at Shcherbatykh International Airport to welcome and protect the foreign dignitaries; the president made his way out of the government house, and stepped into his limousine. It was time to meet his guests. As the convoy left for the airport, he had a funny feeling in his stomach; it was his excitement, and he was fairly nervous as well. Whatever lies ahead will be determined by the delegates whom will soon arrive.
