Alternate History Roleplay

The world as you know it is over; the year is 2015 and everything has changed. Great empires have arisen, while others fell to the tragedies that encompassed. Global powers succumbed to the pressure that was put on them by years of war and destruction. Through all of that civilization still continues, new powers have taken the places of their predecessors, new empires are gaining land across the world. Will your nation survive or will it fail like the ones before it? Will it be a prosperous superpower or a measly little state that no one has heard of? You make all the decisions, and you decide the fate of The New World.

This is an alternate history RP, where you choose a nation, real or fake, and you decide the fate of the world. There are a few things that will have to stay the same, but overall you will have a lot of freedom to change your nations history a lot. If you don't know whether or not your going to far just post your app, and I'll let you know what is and isn't acceptable.

History: Canada has a American-style revolt the British and becomes fully independent, cutting off military, colonial and economic ties. After becoming far more militaristic, Canada expanded past its per-colonial borders and into the west and north. Eventually reaching modern day borders.

The war of 1812 occurs in Canadian victory despite the heavy military and economic losses, Alaska is gained after more minor wars with the US, and Greenland is bought from Denmark. Overtime, Canada recovers its relations with the U.S. especially during WW1 and WW2. Eventually becoming trade partners and allies.

Today Canada is a economic, military, industrial powerhouse. With one of the biggest scientific advancements, human rights and healthcare/education.

(EDIT: The nukes were part of a secret program, that was eventually shut down by UN forces. But Canada still holds on to some due to the cold war.)

History: The GCC was formed following the growing threat of ISIS militants within Northern Iraq, at first, many military defeats were suffered but then the new nation managed to turn the tide and drive ISIS out of Iraq. It achieved this within three months, and soon work began on repairing the oilfields and granting the Kurds more autonomy for their role against ISIS. Currently, the GCC accounts for nearly 20% of the World's oil production, and this is set to increase in the future. Infrastructure with Saudi Arabia and the UAE is of excellent quality, with Iraqi infrastructure far behind, but quickly becoming first-world.

Goals for the nation: To expand and encompass most of the Arabian Peninsula.

History (Minimum of Four, well written, paragraphs):
The Hispanic Republic had a long history of hardships from colonial times to the modern era. Its population has became more and more humble as the centuries passed as new challenges arose and were overcame. The history of trhe Hispanic people began in when the Spaniards other known as the Iberians colonized most of South America in the 15th century. Advanced ancient civilizations dwelled in the area the Iberians claimed as part of their empire. Chile was forcefully incorporated into the new colonial empire as others such as Uruguay and Argentina embraced this new culture. Over the centuries the South American nation endured slavery, corruption, forced labor and genocide. The Iberians hoarded all of the Hispanics natural resources for themselves and reaped the fruit of their labor. Eventually resentment reached a boiling point, and in the early 18th century what started as small rebellions escelated into uprisings.

In 1843 a revolutionary General named Cazaco Hispania who served in the Colonial army mutinied and lead an open revolt with his native army officers. Capturing key cities like La Paz and Santiago the revolution soon spread to countries with high loyalist ties like Argentina. Cazaco found it extrmeley difficult to penetrate Argentina as the territory flourished under Iberian rule and as a result saw the immigration of millions of wealthy Iberian bankers, industrialists, and proffessors. Cazaco eventually found a route into the territory after claiming victory at the Battle of El Rio Muerte. He marched his army all the way to Buenos Aires, the most industrialized and urbanized city in all of the Iberian colnies. He bean with a 4 day siege and fearing any Iberian warships entering Buenos Aires harbor and resupplying the city he assualted it. After 5 hours of brutual battle Cazaco claimed victory and entered the city as its new leader. Buenos Aires was the last Iberian stronghold and on July 14, 1847 the Colonial Govenor Nando Pieza signed the declaration of independence soldifying the Hispanic Republics existence as a soveriegn nation.

In 1880 a massive indsutrialization program was started to rapidly expand industry and build factories to support the fledgling economy. The cotton, coffee, textiles, iron, coal, steel, and meat industries were started. Soon Argentina was no longer the top dog in urbanization and indsutrialization although it was the most advanced. After 10 years of industrial aggressive industrial growth the Republic turned to commerce and focused on building a merchant marine navy. In 1892 a surplus in Hispanic goods allowed the country to begin exporting its products to other countries and by 1895 was the largest and fastest growing economy in all of South America. It surpassed its neighbors in GDP growth and military size, its influence reached the islands of the Carribean and nations of Central America. The Hispanic Republic rivaled other great powers for control of various trade routes in the Souther Atlantic. By 1900 the entire nation was centralized. Efficiency in the nation grew by 400% and production kept a constant surplus of goods. In 1905 it began a weapons manufacturing program, building its own artillery, rifles, and warships. It showcased its new military in the Gran War with Peru in 1908 and by 1910 it recieved massive investment from Germany and Russia.

In 1914 the First World War erupted but the Hispanic Republic remained isolated as the world fought itself. While everyother nation fell into an exhausted state both domestically and economically, the effects of the world war had minimal impact on the Hispanic Republic. It financed both sides of the war in return for raw materials and IOU's. The Hispanic Republic went from a renowned nation to a crisis nation. After 1925 many nations picked themselves back up while the Hispanic Republic continued to decline. A Coup in 1931 overthrew President Armadero and saw the rise of Col.Zunca. Zunca ruled the nation with an iron grip for the next 25 years. However, the economy was back on track after 1936 and once again a surplus was reached in 1939 when WW2 started. Zunca kept the nation neutral although he had sympathies with the Axis and allowed foreign invesmtent from the Germans and Japanese in exchange for sending supplies and raw materials to the war fronts. The climax of the war attained the Republic more than 450 billion USD worth of investment into the country which reopned its factories and revitalized its military. 1956 saw a popular uprising which overthrew Zunca after the Buenos Aires Scandal saw the illegal transition of factories over to Cambrian management. The Cambrians monopolized the entire indsutrial sector of the Republic from 1946 to 1980. The Hispanic Republic experienced stagnation in economy, corruption overcame politicians as the Cambrians influenced them, and Hispanics were soon replaced with more efficient machines. The Cambrians virtually controlled the economy and decided when there should be a surplus or defecit. However, when the Falklands wars erupted in 1980 then Hispanic President Roberto Garcia nationalized all Cambrian assets and returned the entire economy back over to the people. Cambrian nationals were deported, all bank accounts and property liquidated, and international denonciation ensued. When the war resulted in defeat for the Hispanics the country blamed their defeat on the lack of control over the economy as they still believed some Cambrians were allowed to still manage the factories from abroad. In 1984 a massive fraud was uncovered as Garcia was found recieving bribes from wealthy Cambrian indsutrialists who still asserted control over certain sectors of the Hispanic economy. The Senate and National Assembly both impeached Garcia in 1987. With a 3 year interim rule until 1990 by the Congress this saw the rise of Torres who ruled the country with rigged elections and puppets until his assination in 2015. Gen.Juan Gonzalez arose to power in 2015 in a popular Coup D'etat and has asserted dominance ever since. His rule is controversial as rumors of mass executions and a massive war were acredited to him. Still the people have exhibited their unwavering support for the tyrant. The 2nd Falkland War attained much more popular support as the peolple felt betrayed to their spoils of war. When victory was claimed over the state news and images of the Cambrian Carrier fleet battered and retreating a nuclear bomb struck the island killing more than 200,000 Hispanic conscript soldiers. History: after surviving world war 1 the central powers of Germany and the Austro Hungarian empire united into one great power comprising of decent, decadent chunk of Europe.

Hitler never gained power so the USSR, France, Denmark, and several other nations weren't invaded and occupied by Germany. The nazi power was crushed and never took power thus giving the GAH more freedom to expand their military might.

Most scientists that fled to America in real life stayed and the GAH empire eventually was the first to land on the moon before the Russians and Americans. This gave Germany technological superiority. The Wehrmacht is one of the best, if not the best military in the known world. Also, the Germans are the ones to discover nuclear weapons and produce them in mass. Also, with the scientists the German-Austro Hungarian Empire is able to make better and more technologic advances faster than anybody else.

Since the many of the Balkans were united under the flag, the Balkan war wasn't as bad and peace and stability dominate the GAH empire. The Balkan nations that are a part of the nation enjoy semi autonomy. enjoy semi autonomy as provinces of the GAH. The main ideology is isolationism and the economy is state capitalism.

Today the country has a thriving economy is one of the most technologically advanced militaries, is one of the most industrial countries of the centuries, has one of the highest standards of living, is a strong human rights advocate, and is bent on making up for their past differences between nations. German-Austro Hungarian people enjoy almost as much freedom as the Americans do and are very healthy people. The nation is also a melting pot of culture and ideas. The nation also excels in education and happiness.

History: The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, on a path to collapse thanks to one Mikhail Gorbachev, was overthrown by a hardcore autocratic government during the turbulent years of the 90s, leading to Civil War. In 2000, the guns fell silent, and the new USSR, reminiscent of the one Lenin lead, was born. The new USSR had lost most of it's influence in Eastern Europe, but Russians are not easily discouraged. A military campaign rolled over the Baltic states, returning them to their place under the Soviet Union. Since then, the CCCP has fought minor wars with Poland and Finland, and every day, it seems, more reports of border strife came from both of these borders. Today, the USSR, while still a minor superpower, is quietly waiting it's chance to rise from the ashes again.
