The must be insane. Ready the soldiers will you?" Azuki nodded and scurried off. "Oh and better fuel up the drones and jets too." Yuuki added "I have a mission for them."

Pacal stood before a statue of the goddess Zeltzinakna. He was in a temple. It was not the pyramidal temples so often seen dotting cities, but instead a more practical temple. It was built for more prayer and blessings, away from public display, but still held an altar for sacrifices to each god within the temple. The structure was massive, larger than most, if not all, pyramids built by the Yocatullic people. Pacal stood, reciting an ancient chant, leading the rest of the priests in a ritual to ensure success.

War had been declared. It was known throughout the Isles, and it was the first modern war of the Island's history. The numbers were far surpassing the enemy, but the Islanders did not have the weaponry to handle it alone. The entire region had been attacked, and so the Yocatullic warriors figured their duty was with their allies. Armed or not, they would prevail.

Pacal cried out to Zeltzinakna, to Tonatiuh, to Conucal, to all of the gods to aid them in war. Divine aid would be a necessity to ending the war quickly. However, at the same time, the war would be a cultural boost. A new age of warriors and fighting to reinvigorate ancient practices no longer performed. Weapons would, for the first time in many years, draw blood. Warpaint would be put to use, obsidian blades would massacre the foe, and prisoners could be taken. The gods demanded the blood of those who would dare oppose the Isles, and the people would be glad to provide.

The Empress strolls leisurely through the ruins of District 4 reading from a book with an unmarked cover. She must periodically step over the bones of the countless fallen in the district who still lay there in their eternal slumber. The sun shines bright from overhead casting strangely shaped shadows among the ruins

"Is it time for conflict yet again? It has been a good while."

A grin creeps across her face.

"Oh well. Things have been far too quiet around here, anyway. Perhaps it is time they are allowed to play."

A deafening roar grows across the district, and the sky begins to darken. Over the horizon appears a cloud of countless aircraft.

She sits upon the burnt-out husk of an armored vehicle of some sort and looks to the sky, thinking of what's to come.

On the radar near the coast Teslanain bombers could be seen. "Madam" Private Yuu called. "Yes?" Answered captain Asuna Zuka. Yuu said "There are what I think are 90 Teslanian bombers in the way." Asuna grimace "that's a lot. Scramble fighters. Prepare the SAMS."

Ayumi turned her turn to look around. In her F-16 she couldn't see anything. Suddenly a bullet hit her nose and she saw the bombers above her. "Son of a gun! Contact!" Ayumi said over the radio. She flew up with her squadron to attack the bombers.

A yuri sniper simply called "Shadow" spotted the suicide bombers. She lined up on one of their chests and pulled the the trigger. The man exploded and two others were killed by the blast. A yuri girl tank rolled forward at the suicide bombers it was destroyed with along tank next to it. Shadow aimed again and killed another man. However five yuri girl tanks were destroyed. Another was so damaged only the turret could turn. The infantry continued firing.

Enlais has dispatched armoured trains to the Yuri Girl capital. As far as the public knows, they are delivering humanitarian aid, but known only to the train crews and the Reine herself is that the trains are actually meant to evacuate the city.

As such, the trains have been mounted with numerous machine guns to ensure safety, though this is not unusual for Enlesian vehicles.
