Ever since the recapture of Jezzine by the SLA 6 months earlier under the air cover of Israel tensions have been high all along the lines between the SLA and Hezbollah. The Hezbollah military wing has found it difficult to halt the SLA in tactical battles due to the fact that they look alike and speak the same language and know the terrain of South Lebanon very well. The Lebanese government denounced this action however these condemnations went ignored since the government in Beirut is blackmailed by Hezbollah. With Hezbollah stretching its military in Syria and now Iraq since the rise of ISIS it is increasingly feeling a sense of insecurity on its southern borders and with the capture of Jezzine, alternate supply routes had to be made in order to move forces and supplies in the Bekkaa valley. On orders from the high command 100 Hezbollah professional soldiers supported by another 100 Hezbollah militiamen tried sneaking through the Jezzine area only to run into a guard post of SLA soldiers. Combat erupted for about 5 minutes until the SLA position was overrun. 8 SLA soldiers were found dead the next hours. With the Hezbollah troops already in the Bekkaa the SLA command is trying to figure out how to respond. the UNIFIL task force has already pulled out due to escalating tensions in Lebanon. The Israeli government has repeatedly stood by its promise to support the South Lebanon Army with Air power.

The South Lebanon has reacted with a positive stance towards this message from the The Empire Of Meiyo. The Lebanese government on the other hand has denounced this action as a threat to its sovereignty since it considers Hezbollah a "resistance" movement.

In other news the SLA has responded by shelling the town of Nabatiyeh in central south Lebanon using scout snipers to call in direct and precission artillery strikes using artillery from the south Lebanon mountains. It yet remains to be seen what Hezbollah will do. The U.N. fears that if total conflict erupts in South Lebanon it will become a direct engagement between Hezbollah and its allies, the SLA and Israel and ISIS.

In any large scale military strike against the South Lebanon Army the Israeli Air Force will be there to deter any threats. Choose your position wisely. Hezbollah moved forces through our territory to reinforce their units in Syria, in the process killing eight of our own men. We are not looking to invade and take over Lebanon only to fight and combat a terrorist organization with the cause of turning Lebanon into an Islamic State or worse, part of Iran. Dragging yourselves into this conflict will only make you part of the larger conflict in the Middle East.

General Katsuhito Hattori walked with his general staff down an old and cracked asphalt road, as he surveyed the arrangement of forces and equipment deployed so far to the region from the Empire. On his right, the digital desert painted hulls of K2 Black Panther MBT's sat in neat little rows under the hot desert sun, as the vehicles crews scurried about loading gear and munitions making the tracked vehicles battle ready on schedule. Overhead, his thoughts were drowned out as yet another C-17 Globemaster III from the 2nd Airlift Wing roared through the desert air as it took off after dropping off it's payload of men and equipment on the nearby airstrip. These monstrous heavy lifters had been flying non stop for nearly seventy two hours as tens of thousands of men and thousands of vehicles, along with all their supporting logistical gear, had been hastily but efficiently flown in to support the coming operation into Lebanon.

Hattori stopped for a brief moment, and watched the grey form of the aircraft sail overhead as it gained altitude for it's return flight to the Empires Middle East response depot in a nearby allied country. Already behind it, he could make out the shapes of incoming C-17's stacked three deep on final approach as the process continued.

"Latest readiness reports put us at nearly 90% capacity for boots on the ground for phase one of our little operation, Sir." said one of the Generals aids who was standing next to him. "We estimate that our forces will be ready for phase two of our operation within the next twenty four to thirty hours, with full readiness achieved within the next forty eight hours."

General shifted his attention from the aircraft now barely a speck on the horizon back to that of his immediate surrounds. A formation of soldiers were marching past in well drilled precision, and he returned the salute of the senior NCO leading them in formation before he gave a response.

"This information, pleases me most." he replied as he continued to walk down the dusty road to nowhere. "I want our recon and forward elements ready to move within the hour, and our main body online and ready by nightfall tonight. We have come all this way, it's high time we get to business."

"Yes General." was the reply from the aid as he pulled out a encrypted ICOM and started relaying movement orders to various sub commands, carrying out the generals wishes.

While the Empire had authorized ground and air forces for the coming conflict, the Emperor, in all his infinite wisdom, had decided against authorizing the deployment of the navy to the region to support friendly forces. As such, this truly was going to be a ground based conflict against an enemy of currently unknown strength. Hattori had faith in the men and women operating under him in his command, as they were well trained, highly motivated, and well equipped and supplied. Compared to the rabble presented to him in his intelligence reports that he had read on the flight over, he doubted much of a challenge would be presented against his forces in the coming fight.

He smiled regardless though, as he would take great pleasure in slaughtering the honorless cowards wholesale.

Sitting on the sun baked asphalt road along the coast, a platoon sized element consisting of four Type 87 Armored Reconnaissance Vehicles (ARV) sat in a staggered formation as they awaited the final order to start their push up the route toward Naqoura. Not even twenty miles to the east, another platoon sized element of Type 87 ARV's were doing the exact same thing, as they also awaited the word to start their push toward Rmaich.

At roughly 1600 Hrs, the orders were given by command, and the two units fell into their respective traveling formations and crossed the border into Lebanon toward their objectives. These units would push up at a deliberate rate toward the two relatively small towns of under twenty thousand people and proof the route for the eventual main body push later that night. The rules of engagement for these two units were relatively lax, as they were free to engage anyone and everything at their discretion that offered up resistance to them being there, with kill on sight (KOS) orders for any enemy combatants that presented themselves.

Above the two groups of scouts, cruising at a respectable altitude of nearly thirty thousand feet, were a pair of armed MQ-9 Reaper drones in a traveling over watch position. As well as providing armed response for the units on the ground, these drones also scanned the surrounding countryside with their advanced surveillance equipment looking for targets as well. This information would be relayed and networked into the GDF's battlenet system in real time, allowing for all forces to have current and up to date information at all times with little to no delay.

And so, the Empire entered Lebanon, and as the Scouts and Drones pressed onward, the main thrust of the Empires might readied itself for it's own push in a few hours time.

With imperial forces entering Lebanon, the SLA has opened roads and checkpoints for them to push through. With this being done, Hezbollah has geared for total war moving into their defenses that they have improved since the 2006 war with Israel. Tehran has declared full support for Hezbollah. In a covert attack in Nabatieyh SLA commands quickly blew up a communications station severing its general communications to the rest of Lebanon with only 2 small military lines left. It should be known to all allied forces that Nabatiyeh is a huge stronghold of Hezbollah and they will fight to death for it. Hours later SLA artillery struck positions around Nabatiyeh and 750 SLA soldiers attacked a hezbollah base of operations east of Jezzine.

[Quarence]

Smoke filled the room of Caliph Harrun Al-Peyrin, the ruler of Quarence, as he read the messages coming in from Lebanon. It was not looking good for Hezbollah: the SLA now had air support from Israel, heavy weapons support from the Empire of Meiyo, and fresh recruits from ISIS. The Shi'ia organization had long been experts at fighting an asymmetrical war, but now it seemed like even Hezbollah was outclassed.
Time to even the odds, he thought grinding out his smoke in an ashtray as he reached for the phone.

48 hours had passed. The ultimatum ran out. Quarence was now at war.

Port Beyran, Quarence
Thousands were gathered on the docks of Port Beyran, Quarencian capital, watching as the 3rd fleet began its 20-hour journey to the coast off of Lebanon. While most were there to cheer for the troops, tension simmered underneath the surface. The Lebanon Intervention (as it was now being called) was an act of the Shi'ia caliphate, not the Sunni majority. In fact, if anyone had bothered to take a poll of the gathered crowd, they would have found very few of the people there to cheer were Sunni. Quarence was fighting a Shi'ia war as a Sunni nation, and so most people didn't even bother to see the fleet off. The fleet was comparatively small by most standards, but it represented most of the Quarencian Navy. The fleet was serving a dual purpose: not only was it going to its designated location, it was escorting the troop transports of the 32nd Mechanized Infantry division. The QIF (Quarencian Intervention Force) was underway.
