Rules & Gameplay:
At the beginning of the game,a player will be selected as the Dictator. He will have complete power over the Republic of Ritimba.
There are 9 sides in this game:
-The dictator
-The secret police
-The peasants
-The army
-The landowers
-The guerillas
-The Leftotans(inhabitants of the republic of Leftoto)
-The russians
-The americans
Rules:
1)The Republic of Ritimba starts with a treasury of 1.000.000.000$ and costs of 500.000$/turn.
2)The dictator is the supreme ruler of Ritimba.The dictator has a maximum life time of 15 turns, when he then dies of old age. He manages the spendings of Ritimba and pretty much rules everything.
3)The secret police is the dictator's right-hand organization.The player who controls the secret police is not allowed to start a revolution, and must obey the dictator at all times.
4)The peasants and landowers will always be in contradiction, and the dictator will eventually have to choose who to support.
5)The army always wants to make the recruitment numbers higher and acquire new weapons. Without an army,the dictator will not be able to acquire new lands.
6)The guerillas will always be opposed to the government, no matter what.Their strength will be affected by how strong the peasants are.
7)The Leftotans' strength is affected by the trade with Ritimba.The Leftotans may directly attack Ritimba, be allies with them and aid the leader of Ritimba, or help the revolutionaries. The same goes for the US and Russia.
Gameplay:
1)Each faction has a specific power number.The number depends on the actions of the dictator. What he does will affect the factions.The minimal strength of all factions is 0. The maximum is 4 for the dictator alone, and 9 for the other factions.
2)A revolution may be started by parties which do not like the way the dictator is ruling. In a revolution,the revolutionary faction may ask one other faction to help them. After that,the revolution starts and the forces loyal to the dictator (the strength of the dictator himself, and two other factions which he decides to call to his aid) must fend off the revolutionaries.The side with the most total strength points wins.
3)After a successful revolution,the dictator is overthrown and executed.The player who ruled the faction which started the revolution will switch roles with the dictator. The former player who was the dictator will become the leader of the faction of the revolutionary.
4)After a failed revolution, the factions that tried to overthrow the dictator may not try to start another revolution for 5 turns.
5)A faction can make an assassination attempt on the dictator. For the assassination to have a chance at succeeding, the faction which attempts it must have a strength higher than that of the secret police and dictator combined. For every strength level they have above the dictator + secret police, they get another chance to kill the dictator.
6)If an assassination attempt fails, the faction which attempted it will not be able to attempt another for 3 turns.
7)A successful assassination means that the player who eliminated the dictator will switch roles with the player who was the dictator.
8 )If the dictator lives well until his natural death (turn 15),then the secret police will take over, and the player who controls the dictator will become the secret police.
Government Actions:
The dictator is free to do whatever he wants to. He may write new laws that allow people to make opposition parties, introduce conscription into the army, attack guerilla bases, conquer new lands, etc.
The OP(me) decides how the action of the dictator will affect the powers, treasury, and so on.
Turns:
A turn passes once all players have posted their actions in that turn. Factions may attempt an assassination or a revolution, attack or help another faction, try to build themselves up, ask another faction for a specific action, or do nothing.The first to post in each turn MUST be the dictator.
Each faction is only allowed 1 post per turn. In that post,the faction may perform a maximum of 3 actions.
