Why the term "African-American" is bogus

The term "African-American" is not a fair term to use, because it doesn't have much of a definition.

For example, why is Obama considered an "African-American" when he is half white? I got a DNA ancestry test and it said I was around 1% North African Arab. Am I an African-American?

The point is, the term is useless and unimportant, it doesn't reflect race in an accurate or positive way.
