Stalingrad, the turning point of the largest armed conflict in human history-World War Two.
Nazi Germany has caused a global conflict between two fractions, the Axis and Allies. With the backing of the people behind him, Adolf quickly took over Poland in a few weeks and continued to march west on a seemingly unstoppable blitzkrieg through Europe, annexing conquered land for there own.
thanks to the the Molotov–Ribbentrop non aggression Pact, the USSR managed to claim some land for themselves with the Soviet invasion of eastern Poland, That however, was four years ago, and the Nazi Government of Germany have betrayed that treaty, attacking the Soviet Union in a operation known as Operation Barbarossa. The Red Army, which had a purge of it’s officers and was woefully unprepared to stop the Germans blitzkrieg through Russian territory, resulting in a failure during the initial defensive operations in Russia. But lucky, they managed to beat the Germans back at the gates of Moscow with the help of Russia's arctic winter, saving the Soviet Union from defeat.
That was a year ago and now the Soviet and German armies are grindlocked in one of the bloody stalemates that the world
In an attempt to open up a route to the Caucasus the German 6th Army, one of the largest and most experienced military units on the eastern front, was ordered to take Stalingrad at all costs, while they were initially successful in taking parts of the city after the luftwaffe destroyed much of the city, however, the luftwaffe had inadvertently turned the city into an almost impregnable hellhole as the soviet 62nd Army, under the command of Vasily Chuikov, provided harsh resistance in the ruins of the city. Now, an army used to fighting fluid warfare in open fields and farmlands with armor support; are forced to fight for every brick, every building and every inch inside the city. While the advance has been ultimately slowed, the Germans still push deeper into the city with each week, and continue to take more and more land as they close in one the river volga, albeit at an extremely slow rate.
We are snipers of the Red Army, the silent hunters of the ruins of Stalingrad.
In this RP, you will be playing as a member of a sniper battalion during the battle of Stalingrad, our RP will take us over the course of one of the one of the bloodiest battles in history, in which the soviet army fought for every inch and in which sniper and urban warfare was heavy used. while we will be concentrating on the former, its important to know that sniper warfare isn't just about taking out soldiers with deadly accuracy. A sniper can single-handedly ruin a units moral, strike fear into the enemy's heart and easily render it combat ineffective with just a few shots, but if not done right, they will be either blown to bits, shot or worse, tortured by enemy forces. Ultimately, it's all down to priority targets, Just taking out a squads officer can leave the unit effectiveness shattered, taking out the units radioman can leave them without anyway to contact reinforcements or worse, fire support and last but not least, the machine gunners, can leave them vulnerable and without effective heavy suppression abilities against advancing troops.

And because people screw this up fairly often, Russian last names are usually different for males and females so include that in the OP too. Examples:
