So this has been on my mind since Mitch McConnell said "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president." That is disturbing, I don't like Obama. He's the better alternative to McCain or Romney, but that doesn't make him good. That being said, he hasn't done anything worthy of impeachment. It seems a lot of Americans believe impeachment is your way of showing dissatisfaction with the President. Not true. Impeachment is reserved for crimes for example treason or perjury. Disappointment isn't a crime or impeachable offense. Clinton shouldn't have been impeached. But anyway, my party has a majority in the house that they might hold past November, they also may pick up some senate seats. If the house was determined enough they could work with the blue dog democrats and actually file articles of impeachment. Right or wrong, they wouldn't have anyone to stop them. The White House sees this as a credible threat, 35% of Americans want Obama impeached, then you've got Boehner suing the President, Sarah Palin calling for impeachment on facebook, and Michele Bachmann screaming about it on Fox News. I don't think it's likely, but it could happen. I honestly believe some Republicans hate the President more than they love our country, they'd be willing to disrupt government and spend millions of tax payer dollars just to oust the President. Maybe they wouldn't try so hard if they knew it meant President Biden *shudders*.
So I think it could happen, I hope it doesn't. What about any of you? Will the Republicans oust the President or win their law suit? Should Obama be impeached? Are the House Republicans right or wrong? Does this really relate to Obama's policies or is it because they're still bitter of 2012? 6 years later could this even be race related?
