I'm not suggesting anything too far-fetched, but just wanted to gauge a general approximation of the way people are feeling about it all and how close (if at all) they feel the world is to the abyss. That is if we aren't already in it.
I myself am moderately worried and have no idea what tomorrow's headlines will bring.

What are you worried about? Unless you live in one of the areas actually in turmoil, how is any of this affecting you outside of an general sense of uneasiness?

We have allowed the Federal Reserve, an outside organization, to control our currency, instead of giving the power to create money to the treasury, where it constitutionally should be. That is a big deal because the Reserve doesn't give the money to the government, it loans it to the government. Finally the government is more involved in private citizens lives than ever. You want to drive? Register with the government. You want guns? Register with the government? You want to own chickens? Hand over your information. Is anyone watching what is happening here? Are you anxious at all?

The Bear will come down from the North to protect her cubs(Syria) from an attack(Israel).
This is if the predictions of the Nostradamus hold true...
All it takes is for ISIS to target Israel and then Israel will be forced to invade Syria and Russia will intervene

All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

They had large environmental catastrophes, though. They had plagues and famines. At any moment, a barbarian horde could come sweeping down and wipe away their entire civilization, which is exactly what actually happened on several occasions. They had their own problems. One bad growing season too many, and they could lose half their population to starvation.Farnhamia wrote:Christiaanistan wrote:The world has ALWAYS been a powder-keg at the brink of self-destruction. Well, no, the Black-Headed People of the Land of Civilized Lords didn't have the ability to blow the entire planet to hell and gone. Neither did we back in Neolithic times. I blame those ... people who thought sticking seeds in the ground and then hanging around to harvest them was a great idea.

Frankly, I'm not worried about the stuff listed by the OP. I'm a bit more worried by the influx of illegal immigrants/asylum seekers that has been foreseen for the next months. We don't know where to place them if so many as expected do arrive, and where in the budget to find money enough even for their immediate accomodation.
