For those that don't know, the "under God" part was added to the Pledge of Allegiance in the 1950's, during the the McCarthyism Scare.
As an atheist myself, but also as someone who dislikes people making big huffs, I'm somewhat conflicted over this. I feel that it was wrong to change the Pledge because of something so stupid as the paranoia of the McCarthyists.
But, at the same time, I think the family, who remains anonymous, is approaching this the wrong way. Do I agree that the wording is discriminatory? I honestly don't know. I feel this is more a separation of church and state deal than a discrimination thing.
But, what do you guys think?

However, you already don't have to say the pledge if you don't want to, the Supreme Court saw to that, so it's pretty OK.

We need to start teaching our kids to be more rebellious and quit putting up with their parents causing all the shit in the courtroom. The kids should be causing shit in public.
