Communist Parties in your nation?

Postby Towson » Fri Feb 07, 2014 8:24 pm

Does your nation have a Communist Party?

No,Towson does not have a National Communist Party. But we do have 2 regional ones. The Communist Party of Washington City and State (450 Members with no representation of any kind) and The Communist Party of Baltimore Greater. (600 Members 2 Labor Broad Members). Yet they may merge if the supreme court of Towson forces them too.Yet they disagree mostly on what to focus on either Social and Economic justice for the Washington party and Socialism for the Baltimore one.

Our country has a communist party, it is called the 'Socialist Worker's Party of Leftopian Leftland of the Left', and it's youth wing is 'SWP Leftopian Leftings'.

It is the only party present and allowed within the nation, as we have outlawed any over deviant ideologies, as the nation has expressed a rigid collective consciousness and worker's solidarity, to ensure social and economic unity.

Sebtopiaris is a culturally and ethnically Mediterranean, single-party democratic socialist state in the New Warsaw Pact with a population of 39 million Sebtopiariots. Sebtopiaris and its IC actions do not represent my personal beliefs, and Sebtopiaris's overview page does not represent much at all.

Communism is an extreme no-no in our nation (the law calls for instant impalement of communists) and we are in a deep cold war (which has often turned into all-out war with biological and chemical weapons, then settling back down again) with our arch enemy and rival nation, The United Socialist States of Crysuko.

However, with that said, there is an extremely high amount of north korean immigrants in our nation, many of which subscribe to the "Juche" ideology as proposed by the late Kim Il Sung, which is the only form of communism in our nation not only legal, but popular.

Our political party subscribing to Juche is known as The Untaroichii People's Front.

Legal because we're civilised.

Also, we would recommend changing that "Third Party" option to "Minor Party". Not all nations have a two party system. ;)

The Dvarin Communist Party (DCP), while never being able to achieve their goals, have always had a strong presence in Dvarin's government. The DCP makes up 7% of the popular vote and has grown and shrank over the years, having as many as 15% of the popular vote at their height.

'Officially' we don't have a communist party, simply for the way parties are organized within the nation. Communist fringe groups and movements do exist (as we are passionate about being a nation where political process is open, political freedom is high, and the media is encouraged to express all manner and outlooks of life). However, our political party dichotomies are less concerned with left vs right in economic and social outlooks, but more to do specifically with the size of the government and levels of intervention, or the intervention of religion with politics or not.

That being said, communist movements and factions are supported, if their methodology correspond to an aspect of the party in power at the time. For example, the party in power at the moment Delegation Empowerment Party, is one that supports communitarianism, and minimal statism. So, if a communist movement advocates a strong sense of community without the state, then they are encouraged to carry on, even represent themselves, and hold seats in other parties to influence decision. But it's because of the specific communist movements' methodologies themselves that they are recognized, not just because they happen to be waving a red flag overzealously.

So basically, no we don't outlaw communist factions because of ideological diversity, and no we don't make a beeline for them either. They are a representation of an ideology, just like any other, that we make open.

Someone once asked me "Tell me, how do you define hypocrisy?".

And I said to him "Hypocrisy, for me, is a socialist preaching about the prestige and merit of an anti-capitalist comedian's message, praising his critical thought regarding commodity and exchange value, but then going out and buying his DVD."

While you're praising the message, that comedian is only using left wing agendas as a gimmick. While you're listing him as an inspiration, he's getting richer.

In a classic strongman fashion, reminescent of TurtleShroom's ancestry in Russian (and, surprisingly, the USA), TurtleShroom has taken huge measures to curtail and moderate the power of any Marxist party. The Fascist Servants (1933-1969 AD) successfully relocated a huge swarm of USSR immigrants sent to bring Marxism to TurtleShroom.

They all moved to the southeastern grasslands at the TurtleShroomer border. To prevent them from fermenting a labor movement or cause social unrest, the government, starting in 1920 AD, dispatched evangelists representing the Society of Friends, which is a Christian denomination better known as the "Quakers". They successfully converted and pacified the groups, and as a result, organized themselves in stateless, classless (economically) communes where they equally distribute their goods amongst their comrades.

They have a Communist Party, of course, but it is more of a Soviet in the purist sense, which is a collection of proletariat discussing the matters of commune affairs. Their individual Soviets, of course, are the only "governing" authority, and notably, most men that sit on the Soviet committee is a church deacon or ordained minister. In a commune, the stateless society is overtaken by the Church.

The Communist Party of Vjaarland (KPV) was one of the fastest growing political parties in Vjaarland in the 1930s and early 1940s, but after the 1945 Stjenfoss riots the party began to decrease in popularity. Today, the KPV is the smallest political party to be represented on the Grand Council, with 4 seats.

We have a communist party in Hyfling, but it has never received more than 32,000 votes total, and that was way back in the 60s. In it's entire history, it has never won a seat in any parliament. Faith in communism is declining in Hyfling, with less people seeing it as a possible social system and merely an overly utopian dream. The people who still vote for it are usually socialists and anarchists, rather than true communists.
