I worked with some guys who had that exact same tie in the 1970s. Other than that, he looks pleasant, like someone's uncle.

He may be a good candidate if he can balance national sovereignty and free trade and travel, but maybe I might try running for EU president myself, since it is unlikely that it is an election involving parties.

I think I'll know what to do as president: more privacy, online and offline.

Isn't he already Prime Minister of Belgium? The EU President cannot be a national leader. He'd need to step down.
