Speaking of allies.....

I feel lonely. But I don't feel I need to join the fiery catholic pope of righteousness, or join the Heathens, or the communists. Servoth is tolerant of other religions, and not communist; so I really have no one! I need to make a new alliance block.

The Heathen Guild is also tolerant of other religions... Thing is, Christendom has claimed many nations, it's somewhat threatening.

You could ally with someone without it having to being part of an alliance block. Perhaps your nation fears the rising power of another. Perhaps you seek to strengthen ties with a long-time trade partner. etc.

Servoth, what about a German one? There are certainly alot of possible members! I might even be considered, because Inoroth has a sizable (mostly Protestant) German Minority.

Well, aren't you allowed into more that one power-block? Inoroth would fit into a Monarchy-block, a Christian-block, an Italian or German-block, a pro-capitalist block, a pro trade/colonizing block (which after watching 2016 about Obama, some might choose to oppose empires and colonizing), an Amplectorian-block, and possibly others. Should more than one of these form, aren't I allowed to join any that I want/apply?

NOTE: While Inoroth is flexible and doesn't view you as an enemy for not fitting into one of these blocks, we are more likely to like you if you do.

Deutsch Allianz, the new alliance block. Open to all Germanic nations, promotes capitalism and federalism, and a distinct seperation of church and state. Course I'd have to work it out abit more, to make a true contender in the Vapor world. That and a charter to keep out racists and communists.

Yeah, I agree. Can't two nations just ally themselves for strategic reasons? I mean, look at the US alliance with Saudi Arabia.

There is a difference between German & germanic.
German refers solely to Germans.
Germanic peoples refers to Scandinavians (Norwegians, Swedish, Danish, Icelanders, and Faroese), Germans, Austrians, Alemannic Swiss, Liechtensteiners, Luxembourgers, the Dutch, Flemings, Afrikaners, Frisians, the English and others who still speak languages derived from the ancestral Germanic dialects.
