How does your nation deal with terrorists?

National leaders in the Republic of Grand France are interested to know how various nations around the world deal with terrorism, and more specifically terrorists themselves.

France, for her own part, generally does not negotiate with terrorists in good faith, because they are already criminals, and so what is to stop them from lying and deceiving us now? French police and related authorities, such as the DCRI, will generally negotiate only just long enough for the assault teams to get in to position and kick down the doors. Why should it be any different? It has yet to fail us, and it is no worse than what they would do to us given the chance. Many times, criminals have surrendered upon seeing the black vans which move the special counter-terrorism units.

Now that you know how the Republic deals with terrorists and why it does so, we would like to learn how things are done elsewhere.

Needless to say, Terrorism is the least of my nations problems.

Terrorist are very easy to manipulate. We simply infiltrate their organization and make them believe that our enemies are their enemies and that they should die for the cause. We get an army that doesn't need much funding and wipe out two of our enemies.

When a French COIN unit moves in to make a strike, it has done so only following extensive preparations and considerations regarding the circumstances, hence the whole deal with police keeping the enemy talking until they move in.

I see. So, basically, if the method is not as cruel and inhumane as humanly possible, you think it's cowardly? Going in and shooting them all neatly through the face isn't enough?

I also noticed many are explaining methods used to execute captured, live terrorists. Often that is simply not possible. Also, those who desire to brainwash them? Too risky. There is no assurance the mental coercion will not fail at a critical moment.

France kills her terrorists, but she does so neatly and cleanly, with no poorly repressed urges to show just how sadistic we can be getting in the way.
