Coal comprises virtually 100% of our electric sources of power. A few plants use nuclear in the west, from the communist days, and some cities stupidly try "renewable energy" which is anything BUT renewable. One city uses oil to fuel its city, but, coal works. Our mountains are home to coal, which we are willing to export.

75 percent of our power is generated by Nuclear Power. Some coastal areas with powerful tides use tidal power while the rest is generated farther out to sea using wave-powered Sea-Snakes. There are plans for under water turbines and also to gather energy through satellites from space we do have some geo-orbiting satellites that reflect the suns energy to specific points to generate photovoltaic power.

We do not burn anything aside from toast. We produce things that can effectively be crushed down and recycled naturally. (Note our lack of economy >.>). That's not to say that we don't use heat to create energy it's just that it only makes up at 5-10% of our energy needs, such as Composting Emissions.
