Thousands dead, many more injured or missing
Bergen, Orlkjestad- Level 5 Hurricane Bjorn, which has been building strength for 1 week now, has made landfall at the heart of the Aalbach Islands, Bergen. Unprepared civilians, expecting Bjorn to pass the Aalbachs, were caught off guard, killing 3,902 and injuring many more. 105,906 are missing and 349,389 are displaced. The government is desperately asking for foreign help for the city of Bergen. All we can do is hope we get enough foreign aid before Bjorn moves and Bergen moves out of the eye of Bjorn and in once again in the middle of a hurricane. We, having experienced a similar catastrophe in the past, are willing to send our national guard (totaling 100,000 soldiers) to aide recovery effort. The Bergnovinaian Red Croos would also like to ser up several relocation centers for those displaced by the event and free flights to and from such shelters in Bergnovinaia if need be. We will also contribute 100,000,000 eu to aide the recovery effort.

The Bergnovinaian Red Cross began setting up shelters in Bergen.

"Wow this place is really messed up!" said John a Red Cross volunteer while unfloding cots.
"Yeah, it's almost like it's a watery hell" said Ivan another Red Cross volunteer while getting a meal prepared.
"These people must be very despret," said John. Just then a crowd of people rushed in.
"I NEED SOME HELP OVER HERE!" yelled Morgan, the redcross volunteer manning the registration desk that was being swarmed by hundreds of people. "NOW PLEASE!"

Off in the distance an entire fleet of Vertibirds bearing the Taiyou Ground Military Forces logo would be seen heading in, large crates being towed under them, food, mostly rice, fuel, and medical supplies were being shipped to the Islands, the Orlkjestad Government recieving a message.

"This is Empress Yukiko Takayama, of the Empire of Niihama, our deepest condolences to your nation, we are currently sending medical supplies, food, and aid, as well as a military garrison to maintain order in your territory, the 4th Battalion is under your General's command."

Once the Vertibirds began to drop off their loads, a large Nakajima G-8N 1 Renzan would fly in circles around the city, dropping Soldiers and Tachikoma Urban assault tanks to combat the Terrorists pillaging the city.

"Geez," said Issac when the meal rush was over. "It's hard to cook for thousands of people, even in a group. This place is going to take a long time to get back on their feet."

Triumhomine Bethany Haart sat on a simple cushion in her equally simple office as she typed away on one of the few privately-owned laptops in the Federation of Migdou. The news was still coming in: a high civilian death toll as a result of a massive hurricane in the Aalbach Islands. The pictures were disturbing, the statistics moreso; fortunately, many nations were already working to send aid, but it was likely that the devestated area would need all the help it could get. Besides, the Medicorps could always use more field experience.

Making up her mind, she pulled up her email and quickly wrote a message to the Migdian Committee for Local and International Disaster Relief, and another to the nation in question. The Medicorps' goal of furthering the Human race as a whole was about to be furthered with the push of a button. When she had finished, she read the message over, then clicked "Send".

"Finally," she murmured, "a chance to do some good without starting a war."

Your plight has not gone unnoticed by the Federation of Migdou. Our nation's policy of intervention that benefits civilians caught in hostile or disaster zones permits us to send a full detachment of the Migdian Medicorps, famed for their ability to provide free emergency protection, evacuation, and medical care, to the stricken zone. They will arrive by helicopter within twenty-four hours and aid in regaining control of the situation.

Food and medical supplies will be shipped in continuously until the area stabilizes, and members of the Medicorps will attempt to retrieve, identify, and bury the bodies of the dead with all possible speed. If any other supplies or services are required, please contact the Council directly to request them, and they will be delivered within twenty-four hours of receiving the request unless they are particularly obscure or presently unavailable.
