"There exists in this country a callous, corrupt and corrupting shadow industry that sells, and sows, violence against its own people through vicious, violent video games."

-NRA

"Tragedy has been and will always be with us. Somewhere right now, evil people are planning evil things. All of us will do everything meaningful, everything we can do to prevent it, but each horrible act can't become an axe for opportunists to cleave the very Bill of Rights that binds us."

-Charlton Heston

"To hear them tell it, our 'problem' is with expressions of violence in the media. Video games, music, movies, even the news are to blame. It is a very odd sort of Patriot that would destroy the First Amendment to protect the Second."
