FROM THE DESK OF HIS ROYAL BRONINESS, KING ALEXANDER I OF ENATAI

Friends, ponies, bronies! I am proud to have arrived on the political scene coincidentally at just the right moment to see the rise of a glorious new movement. The Pony Age is upon us! All around the globe, ponies and their allies, myself included strongly in the latter, are rising up and swallowing countries whole, in great bursts of friendship and harmony. Truly, there has been no better time in history than right now to be a pony or brony, and I say it is time to sieze the opportunity to come together as one, in worship of the one whose light guides us both literally and figuratively, the wisest of any of us, Princess Celestia.

I hereby found a group that I hope will lead ponies to ultimate friendly victory over the forces of the grumpy, rude, and unpleasant. I hereby found the Coalition of Ponyist States, a group for those nations whose leaders and members are themselves Ponyist--that is to say, who believe in the cause of ponies and/or are, as I and others like me already am, are under the wise guidance of Princess Celestia. The goal of this organization is going to be to make sure that Ponyist States around the globe no longer live in isolation or fall into friendless eggheadism and bookworming, without experiencing the magic of friendship between nations!

I also suggest henceforth that we also consider this Coalition of Ponyist States to be banded together in more than merely name. I urge member nations to stand together and help one another grow and prosper, whether that should come from banding together as a force when one member nation is attacked, or giving fellow member nations some form of precedent economically, to merely sharing signs of goodwill and encouraging friendship between our citizens and ourselves.

So I urge you one and all, all those who truly wish to make something amazing, friendly, and ponified, to join us, and together, we can make not only all of Equestria, but all of the world a brighter place!

While we applaud this move toward necessary pony self-protection, and are prepared to support such an alliance in principle, we must say we are concerned somewhat about the tone of this, and how it would be received. We are quite happy to work together in common cause, but to suggest that our common cause is to rise up all around the world is perhaps a little too expansionist to be an entirely wise statement.

At this time all pony nations are in de-facto alliance, I would rather we see the coming crisis past and then consider a conference to formalise this relationship, a matter I would have to discuss with my sister.

In short we are happy to consider you an ally, and will stand with you, but the time for founding a long-term structure that supports the needs of both ponies, and their friends, is perhaps not yet arrived.

A thousand pardons, Your Majesty! Please understand, we are not expansionist. We aim to invade nopony any time soon without a good reason. What I would be for, however, is an alliance with the aim of solidifying the de facto alliance between pony states so far. I do not expect to receive the support of EVERY pony state, but it is my sincerest hope that should any one pony state be attacked, especially BECAUSE of its ponies, that we all would band together and ensure that such a rude state would understand that when you attack one pony state, you are attacking its friends, as well.

Of course you realize that the main goal of the Coalition of Ponyist States is indeed to promote friendship WITHIN these states, and to come together more than just militarily. I suspect beneficial economic policies could be discussed, as well as coming together internationally, in peace and harmony.

And may I be so kind as to say that it is an honor to receive notice from one of the two Regal Sisters!

While all pony nations should be like brothers, defending each other when one gets attacked and help each other in the time of need, I believe that there is no reason to officialize this policy, as Princess Luna mentioned, it's almost always a de-facto policy of pony nations to defend other pony nations. Dear Raspberry,
Although you know I value your friendship and will hear out your concerns, your allegations of racism are unfounded. We hold nothing against humans. We do not wish to promote ponies over humans, merely promote ponies with humans. Why, I myself am a brony, but a brony is a human, after all! If I were to be specist, I would be against myself, and that would be hypocrisy. I urge you to look again at the original charter. I have updated the wording so as to better express some of the murky ideas which seem to be causing most of these issues.

I also believe that, de facto alliances or not, it is in our best interests to come together as one coalition, that we may respond to international events with a strong, unified response (as well as individual responses, of course). After all, friendship is magic, and what else (The Regal Sisters and their saints aside) than nations themselves as friends? And may I merely say that the original goal of this Coalition of Ponyist States is exactly that, Ponyist states, not to harm or fight, but to worship at the throne of the Solar Goddess, Princess Celestia of Canterlot! After much debate and discussion, it is the unanimous position of Old Tyrannia's top scientists in the fields of biology and physics that magical, brightly-coloured, sentient ponies that appear from no where are an impossibility. As such, the only viable theory that explains the so-called 'Pony Revolution' that has took the modern world by storm is that the international community has gone completely mad. This is, however, a fairly regular occurence in the modern world, although imagining the existence of magical ponies, let alone considering oneself to be one, is not the most common symptom of this apparently regular event. That said, having come to the conclusion that someone is trying to poison all the water supplies again, the Empire has increased security and funding in anti-terrorism. FURTHERMORE, we have decided to recognise the governments of all 'Ponyist' nations to be mentally impaired and therefore unfit to rule, and thus hereby ceases to recognise the governments of these nations. Since we also have a great deal of money to waste and it doesn't hurt to be prepared, we have also formed a specialized Velociraptor Anti-Pony Taskforce within our military made up of the best dromeosaurs and their trainers, to deal with any attempted pony invasion. Velociraptors have no concept of 'friendship.' We thus refuse to recognise the 'Coalition of Ponyist States' and hope that the leaders of all nations involved quickly recover from their apparent bouts of insanity.

We truly could not have chosen a more critical time to form! Already in the nation of Langenberg there is a bill under consideration which would immediately disenfranchise all ponies in Langenberg. This is nothing but blatant specism, pure and simple. I am suggesting that we band together to state our opposition to this bill. I understand that the nation of Langenberg is deeply concerned with our actions due to the swiftness with which our friendship has bloomed. I would suggest to Langenberg to note how quickly the friendships formed between St. Twilight Sparkle and her friends in Ponyville: A mere night to declare friendship! From there, as you all well know, those relationships developed into roots that ran too deep to ever be pulled up. Please respond with your opinions regarding potential statements in response to the bill. I wish to assure Langenberg that we pose no threat to them if they pose no threat to us.

King Alexander gazed over the letter with an increasingly confused look on his face. "Why good sir, you're a LOON!" he said aloud to himself. "Ooh, better jot that down," he muttered, scribbling "Gaius Romulus = Loon" on the top of the printed-out letter. He turned to a pony aide. "Hahah, read this, it says you don't exist, and then discusses velociraptors!" he said, passing the letter to Big Macintosh. "Eeeyup," Big Macintosh said, reading over the letter, "Plum kooky." Big Macintosh nodded at King Alexander, and Alexander looked it over again and then threw his hands up. "I mean, what am I even supposed to say to this? It isn't a declaration of war, it's just... it's just weird! Is he denying the existence of ponies? How do you deny something as tangible as any regular old human?" he mused aloud, turning in his comfortable swiveling office chair and gazing out of his opulent office window at his backyard, the Royal Gardens. Cute feminine boys in bikinis splashed one another while some more masculine pony politicians sat on the sidelines and discussed some administrative business. "Sometimes, I just don't understand the world. At least I've got ponies, though." he said. "Eeyup," Big Macintosh agreed.
