Seth was unable to write back to you due to his lack of sleep these past few weeks. He's been having 10 visions a week and keeps going into trances in order to give orders to faraway agents. I as Vice-President will be replacing him from now in all orders and agreements. First things first it has been recognized that we have no low level magic users in our country. With elections coming up we can't do anything that would offend the conservatives in the country , so we can't hire any of your magic users. All we have is a few extremely powerful magic users and a few hundred people born with unique enchantments.In order to construct the armor the "Ogre" uses we would like to know of any basic enchantments needed.

Also it is important if we can find out if we could simply have minor users borrow power from Seth or another and make the enchantments in large groups. We very much need answers and quick , these tanks need to produced in large numbers to lead the invasion of the birth-land. We're facing large groups of savage cultists and we can only send so many men at a time , thus a number of strong tanks is needed to give us a major advantage. Once it begins every little advantage we have will mean 20 less dead and a few hours shaved off the fighting. Every second will be vital if we are to meet our goals and prevent whatever dark magics they have waiting.

Also Congress has decided that we will need to buy a second DRP for this tank for Vadia. Like I said earlier time is in short supply , thus production needs to double in order for us to win. Our two nations are in this fight together and we can't bear to watch any extra losses due to slow production. For all this we are prepared to pay 120% of our last payment or 66 billion NS.

Summary
The T-115 Chimera Heavy Tank is the heaviest vehicle in the Lubyakan Army that is intended to be deployed in standard land engagements. Filling in a key role in Lubyakan doctrine, the T-115 is designed to serve as highly mobile and well protected heavy firepower that can be deployed to engage and destroy even the most advanced enemy main battle tank. Fitted with advanced armor, fire control systems, and a massive 152 mm cannon, the T-115 is as well equipped for its mission of dominating the field of battle as any tank in the world today.

History and Combat Record
Lubyakan armored doctrine had long called for two types of tanks within the Lubyakan army. The first requirement was for a maneuverable, fast, reliable and long ranged tank that was capable of penetrating and exploiting gaps in the enemy line, and engaging enemy rear echelon units quickly and efficiently. That role was served well enough by the T-105 ‘Orc’ medium tank, and the low cost of the unit, in addition to its proven mechanical reliability resulted in the vehicle being kept in service.

The second requirement was for a heavy tank, designed to engage enemy armor on the open field, and destroy it quickly and efficiently. This tank would be designed to hold the gap of a medium tank exploitation strike in offensive actions, and to serve as a vehicle to slow the enemy advance in defensive operations. Both of these planned roles called for a vehicle equipped with heavy armor and heavy firepower, while range, maneuverability and reliability could be sacrificed--to a reasonable degree.

However, while this armored doctrine had been in place since the development of the tank, armored development in the late 1950s and early 1960s after experiences from the great armored battles of the Continental War had created the idea of the ‘main battle tank’—an armored vehicle which could perform both operations required by Lubyakan armored doctrine effectively, and would lessen the strain on logistical resources created by the use of multiple types of armored vehicle. Although the main battle tank concept was adopted by the Lubyakan Army, the legacy of the original armored doctrine still had impact on the requirements published by the Army for its new armored vehicles, and conflict often developed between proponents of the light, fast tank and supporters of the heavier vehicle. However, as it was demonstrated that new tank guns being adopted by multiple powers were capable of easily penetrating even the heaviest armor that could be realistically be mounted, Army doctrine began to swing heavily in favor of lighter, faster vehicles, often eschewing armor in hopes of becoming more mobile, believing that mobility bought greater protection than armor. However, as time passed, it became clear that the original two tank concept still held merit, although the primary design features that held a medium and heavy tank apart had changed away from sheer thickness of armor.

Throughout the late 1970s, and early 1980s, the Lubyakan Army maintained two different forms of armored vehicle, and such an arrangement was planned to continue on into the twenty first century, with the T-105 ‘medium’ tank serving as an exploitation tank—designed to avoid enemy armor and engage artillery, headquarters and logistical units--while the T-110 served as a main battle tank, intended to engage enemy armor directly, and to secure the breakthrough that the exploitation vehicles required to penetrate into the enemy rear area, where they would be able to ravage and eliminate units that would result in the collapse of the enemy. However, as the twenty first century drew near, it became apparent through war games, and other simulations that while the new T-110 was more than sufficient for its mission, commanders tended to maintain units of the heavier tank in reserve. Analysis revealed that commanders felt that the presence of the armored unit enabled them the luxury of having a form of insurance, in the event of a counter attack against the vulnerable base of the penetration during offensive operations, and committed to firm up positions during defensive operations, and—as such—the concept of the ‘reserve tank’ was created.

The theoretical ‘reserve tank’ would not have to be as capable over cross country at high speed as either a main battle or medium tank, as the reserve tank would be primarily committed in areas where friendly control was already ensured. Although the tank would have to be careful of high speed sprints in order to properly serve as a headquarters reserve for an armored unit, the tank would primarily be fighting in situations where speed over broken terrain was not a prominent factor. Perhaps most importantly, it was believed that the reserve tank would need to be extremely heavily armored and protected, capable of holding a position against a determined attack that would no doubt include both modern, highly advanced main battle tanks, and anti-tank guided missile launching vehicles. As such, the reserve tank would be required to successfully engage and eliminate such threats, as well as survive to continue to hold its position. Finally, the final piece of technology required for the reserve tank would be a long ranged, heavy cannon that would be sufficient to engage and destroy almost any enemy armored vehicle at the greatest possible range that could be managed.

The T-115 ‘Chimera’ heavy tank was designed to fill the niche required by the concept of the ‘reserve’ tank, and has succeeded to an extreme degree, meeting all requirements of the military, as well as demonstrating abilities beyond those demanded by the Lubyakan military.

Armarment
As a reserve tank, the T-115 is designed around an extremely large and powerful gun, intended to be capable of destroying almost all potentially hostile vehicles, up to, and including the massive landships of the Greater Pony Herd and the Royal Federation of Imeriata. In order to achieve this level of damage, multiple options were considered, including coil guns, regenerative liquid propellant guns, and further developments of the ETC cannons already installed within EHE T-110 Ogre Battle Tanks. Given the role of the T-115, it was believed that the model of the classic heavy tank—namely, a tank much more heavily armored ad armed than the primary battle tank—was the best model to pursue. As a result, the mounting of a weapon similar to the 140 mm ETC cannon already mounted on the Erotan Heavy Engineering T-110 Ogre battle tank was deemed insufficient. For the T-115 to be considered as a true and proper reserve tank, an even more powerful weapon would have to be mounted.

Inspiration was taken from the Imperial Orussian T-94/SU tank, especially in the mounting of a 152 mm gun on the vehicle. The decision to mount a 152 mm gun also was also influenced by the fact that existing Lubyakan Army self-propelled artillery and Lubyakan Navy vessels were already operating with 152 mm bore weapon, allowing certain types of high-explosive and a few other forms of ammunition to be standardized across several branches, and pieces of equipment, thus allowing a slight easing of logistics across the entire military, a goal which was considered to be one of the reasons the Lubyakan Army chose to purchase the T-115, as opposed to other proposed tanks.

In line with the choice of weapon standard to Lubyakan artillery in both the Army and the Navy led to the decision to pursue a regenerative liquid propellant (RLP) design, in order to increase power over that of a conventional gun. Although Erotan engineers had some experience in RLP designs with artillery weapons, the new TA19 cannon required additional engineering in order to allow both the gun, and the propellant supply systems would be able to withstand the higher pressures and stressed found within the much higher velocity tank weapon, as opposed to artillery weapons. Despite stress issues which were encountered, and several severe accidents involving the failure of the propellant system within the tank itself, the design was rapidly solidified, and potential safety hazards were resolved. Although it was previously believed that a RLP system capable of surpassing the performance of either conventional or ETC propellants within the hull of a battle tank would be a near impossibility, the TA19 cannon demonstrated in stress tests that it would be as reliable as more conventional propellants, and powerful enough to fulfill the needs of the reserve tank to have a weapon more powerful than the weapon mounted upon a standard battle tank in order to justify its existence.

The decision to mount a RLP weapon system on the T-115 also allowed for a secondary function, which was not originally a part of the design. By varying the propellant load on any individual shell, the vehicle crew could alter their weapons performance. Although crews are not expected to fine-tune the level of propellant used on any individual round in the field, Erotan Heavy Engineering has chosen to provide the vehicle’s crews with multiple settings on their weapons, ranging from ‘full power’, ‘mid power’, and ‘low power’, with each different setting introducing a certain amount of propellant into the weapon’s chamber, allowing it to save valuable propellant on occasions when it is merely using its weapon to provide support for infantry, while achieving extremely high power on occasions when the T-115 is called to engage heavily armored opponents at extremely long range.

The T-115 also mounts a pair of AAW-19 35 mm autocannons mounted alongside its turret. These weapons were a carry over from the highly successful T-110 Ogre design, and many tank crews expressed their appreciation for the weapons. Like the original T-110 Ogre, the cannons are capable of swiveling up or down in order to provide the vehicle with some form of organic air defense, as well as enable it to engage high angle infantry, especially in urban or mountainous combat situations. However, on the T-115, the autocannons are also capable of swinging left to right, independently of the main turret, which has been found to increase the ability of the vehicle to engage aircraft, high level infantry, as well as enable more flexible engagement of lightly armored vehicles, which are simply too small to be worth the use of valuable shells or propellant when the amount of firepower provided by the main cannon would be excessive for the target at hand. In addition, the 152 mm main cannon is capable of firing the GATM-12 Hunter anti-tank missile, usually using a light propellant charge to propel the missile out of the barrel prior to ignition of its on board propellant.

Finally, the vehicle is equipped with a trio of ISAW-11 heavy machine guns, one mounted co-axially to the main cannon, with two others mounted together in a RWS atop the commander’s hatch. The coaxial mounted machine gun is intended to both allow the min gunner to engage enemy infantry, as well as serve as a reserve system for the tank’s more advanced fire control system, enabling it to continue to engage targets even if the primary system is disabled by combat damage, or electronic attack, while the commander’s weapons system is meant to provide terminal defense against hostile infantry in case they manage to close on the tank.

Defenses
The defenses of the T-115 Chimera are one of the most sophisticated systems ever mounted on a Lubyakan Army vehicle, consisting of both impressive passive defense system, as well as potent active defense systems in order to achieve the level of protection required by the doctrinal concept of the reserve tank within the Lubyakan Army. The T-115 was always designed to be an extremely survivable vehicle, meant to be thrown into the most dangerous of battlefield situations, and remain functional for enough time in order to accomplish its mission.

In order to accomplish this, the T-115 is outfitted with the Anyova-III composite armor system. A development of the Anyova-I and –II armor outfitted onto the T-105 and T-110 tanks, the Anyova-III system is intended to provide unparalleled levels of protection. Like its predecessors, the Anyova-III armor system is a composite armor system, made up of multiple layers of differing materials in order to defend against a multitude of systems, including kinetic energy penetrators, high explosive anti tank, and high explosive squash head rounds. The actual composition of the armor system remains classified, but it is known that the armor consists of at least three layers of Rota Armor, two of differing ceramic-- arranged in order to preserve the multiple hit capability of the ceramic tiles—a layer of depleted uranium mesh, in order to provide heavy protective ability against heavy penetration rounds, combined with an air gap in key locations on the vehicle, and an internal spall layer in order to preserve the combat ability of the tank even under prolonged, direct bombardment against the armor layer. In tests, Anyova-III armor has shown itself to be incredibly resistant against the 105 mm, 120 mm, and 125 mm cannons mounted upon older tanks, along with resistance to more modern 120 mm ETC and 140 mm cannons.

However, despite the capabilities of the Anyova-III system, it is not deemed to be sufficient in order to provide the vehicle with the level of survivability desired. In order to achieve this, Erotan Heavy Engineering design crews turned to the experimental ‘Discordant’ technology, in order to increase the defensive capabilities of the vehicle. Developed by a research effort by the Discordant Research Conglomerate into the mechanical replication of the non-standard physics conditions and capabilities demonstrated most clearly by members Equus sapiens rinocerotis, among many other species which demonstrate similar capabilities, Discordant technology was developed, tested, and finalized, before being considered for mounting on the T-115 in its finished form as Discordant Chaos Armor (DCA). Although the utilization of DCA required the mounting of a Discordant Research Conglomerate SSL-19C Nonstandard Physics Energy Generator (NSPEG) in order to provide energy for the system, the abilities of DCA were deemed to be significant enough in order to justify the mounting of the additional generator, and other necessary subsystems.

DCA provides multiple capabilities to the T-115, and in most cases, is limited to a form of information ‘lockdown’ capability. In this situation, the DCA generates an information dampening field, dramatically decreasing the vehicle’s radar and infrared cross section, and even weakens the ability of the human eye and ear to detect the vehicle, enabling the vehicle to remain extremely well camouflaged in almost all combat situations. This field is limited to the hull of the tank, thus allowing the vehicle’s sensors to be mounted beyond the field’s effect, thus enabling the vehicle to continue to benefit from its own information gathering system, while denying information from the enemy, potentially causing guided projectiles to fail to acquire the vehicle as a target. In more decisive combat situations, the DCA system can be pushed to an active defense mode. In this situation the information dampening field alters, becoming proof against even physical objects, thus providing a defense against shells, missiles, and other projectiles. However, due to the nature of the projected field, it cannot be maintained for a significant amount of time, and is thus rarely left activated for extended period of time. More commonly, the system is ‘rippled’ on and off, by the vehicle’s systems, activating it upon the detection of an inbound projectile, and deactivating it upon the impact of the projectile against the field.

In addition to the exotic DCA, the T-115 is fitted with a more conventional TFA-19 Eyesore laser ‘dazzler’ and jamming system, intended to interfere more directly with the guidance systems of inbound anti-tank missiles, causing them to fail to impact the vehicle. Additionally, the T-115 is mounted with a white phosphorous grenade launcher system, which is intended to generate a smoke screen around the vehicle, if necessary. In addition, due to the white phosphorous composition of the smoke screen, the white phosphorous launchers can be used as a last ditch anti-infantry weapon, in case enemy infantry manage to close with the vehicle.

Engine
The T-115 is powered by two distinct systems, designed to provide the vehicle the ability to move quickly in response to a rapidly changing tactical situation. The vehicle’s primary drive system is a Forza FB-12TSD twelve cylinder, diesel engine, built on license from VMK AG. The choice to mount the foreign designed engine on the T-115 was made on account of the need for the vehicle to mount an extremely powerful and reliable engine. Although a domestically designed engine was considered possible, it was eventually decided that the purchase of the license for the Forza engine would be cheaper than designing a domestic engine, which would have added additional time to the design process of the vehicle, as well as dramatically increasing cost per unit of the vehicle, potentially making the design—already expensive due to the use of new technologies in the vehicle—unpalatable to military purchasers. In addition, the vehicle utilizes an interleaved suspension design. Although this leads to an increase in maitenance requirements, the additional manuverability allowed, as well as the doctrinal role it was meant to fill was believed to justify the system.

In addition to the FB-12TSD engine, the T-115 mounts a Discordant Research Conglomerate SSL-19C Nonstandard Physics Energy Generator. This system provides the nonstandard physics energy required in order to power the vehicle’s Discordant Chaos Armor protective abilities, but also generates power for more standard systems, generating electricity for fire control systems, internal lighting, and other crew amenities, allowing the vehicle to remove most of the auxiliary power units found in other vehicles. However, the vehicle retains a single APU in order to serve as a backup for key electronic systems in case the NSPEG fails.

Electronics and Crew Amenities
Like all Lubyakan battle tanks, the T-115 includes several key electronic systems designed to increase the combat ability of the tank beyond that of what a technical read of its gun and armor systems would declare. Like on the T-110, EHE sub-contracted the work on the T-115 electronic and software systems to Turvokan-Farmer Aerospace, once again acknowledging their superior experience with electronic and computer systems.

Like the T-110, the T-115s combat systems are designed to be linked into the Lubyakan military’s Hive Battle Command System, thus allowing the vehicle to be both commanded by high authority, as well as to provide information to higher levels of command, thus integrating these vehicles into the command and control structure of the Lubyakan Army, allowing units equipped with the T-115 to be extremely coordinated with other elements of the Lubyakan Army in tactical, operational, and potentially even strategic combat operations.

The T-115’s fire control system is similar to the ones of the T-110 and T-105, though developed to a higher degree. The vehicle’s systems are intended to detect and mark individual main battle tank and light armored vehicle sized targets on the vehicle crew’s heads up display, thus allowing the tank to operate with full knowledge of the surrounding terrain. The system is also designed to link into the Lubyakan Army’s larger Hive BCS network, thus displaying targets to the vehicle’s crews that the individual T-115’s sensors have not detected, as well as relaying similar information to both other vehicles in the area, as well as to higher command, thus allowing external support to be called in by higher level commanders, or—in case of the T-115’s primary role on the battlefield—providing reinforcements with up to date information on the situation they are preparing to enter.

In addition to the high quality combat systems, EHE sought to make the life for the tank’s crew as comfortable as possible. Like the T-105, and T-110, the T-115 incorporates air conditioning and heating in order to provide a climate controlled environment for the crew regardless of location. In addition, the T-115 includes a fully isolated computer system that the crew can use for their own personal use, which can connect to the internet via any civilian or certain military wireless connections, thus allowing troops to remain in contact with home as much as possible, even during combat operations . The design also incorporates internal and external speakers, which can be fed music via a standard civilian MP3 or CD player connection located within the vehicle. The design also incorporates a larger refrigeration chamber, allowing the crew to hold onto supplies of cold beverages or rations without leaving the vehicle, a feature which has been much applauded by crews of the vehicle. All in all, these systems are designed to help maintain crew morale, no matter the situation, as a crew with high morale is one which will fight much more effectively.

Contract
A single unit of the T-115 Chimera Heavy Tank is available for a cost of NS$ 15,500,000, per individual unit. . The purchase of more than 1,000 T-115s authorizes the user to domestic production rights of the vehicle’s ammunition and spare parts, although Anyova-III armor , Discordant Chaos Armor, and the SSL-19C NSPEG must be purchased directly from EHE or any other authorized supplier, as DPR for such equipment remain unavailable.

Domestic Production Rights for the T-115 are available for NS$ 190,000,000,000. DPR grants production to the T-110, and a steep discount on the purchase of Anyova-III armor , Discordant Chaos Armor, and the SSL-19C NSPEG.
