Early 2006 is wayyyy beyond my time, and is certainly not good enough to be considered valid. CP is not DEN aligned. I would have voided it the moment they signed a treaty with Dharma anyways.

One could exist for all you know. That was a long time ago, and things get lost.

DEN has a confusing history and I won't even pretend to understand it all yet.. But is the DEN that made that agreement even the incarnation that is alive today?

It would seem not. I guess it is a warning to other regions that think to make agreements with DEN. It will be forgotten and discarded later when it proves inconvenient. :)
I guess all the DEN grandpas died out eh?

*sigh*
Wordy, there were two DENs at one point. One still exists, the other does not. If I remember correctly, "The DEN Army" was the rogue branch that is not around. If that is correct, your whole whiny rant argument is invalid, because the organization that made the agreement doesn't even exist anymore.

I'll go do some digging for you. :)

There doesn't seem to be a single document regarding the "Peace Compact" at all. I'm not an expert on this particular matter, but for all we know it could have been a simple nod that wasn't codified -- if that -- and therefore expecting too much from the DEN if that was the case -- if it was the same DEN that raided CP; although, I might be mistaken.

Okay, Wordy. From everything I can find, that treaty never existed with this DEN. While I can see how the information on that page could be misleading, my conclusion is that the agreement was made with the rogue branch of DEN, which means it doesn't apply to the real DEN. Never did.

In any case, none of the natives seem to care about it nearly as much as you do. Maybe you should go work on planning a liberation instead of trying to shame DEN out. You aren't doing a very good job.

I don't think this international relations concept is accepted by the grub hive-mind SunRawr. Even if you had nothing to do with a past group/government, XKI acts like the past group/government still exists. :P

I see I somehow got confused between DEN and DEN. Please do forgive me :P Perhaps a new name? DENNER?
The new improved DEN? The invaders formally known as DEN no longer exist we are the new DEN? or The LOUNGE?

Oh and Rogernomics? Your continual digs at 10K and Grub are tiresome to say the least. Please come up with something new instead of the same old blah blah blah.

The two DENs did have different names.

DEN Army (the one referenced in the CP history) was led by Franks and Alphaks, and had some pretty major successes in the year or so preceding Franks' deletion. Franks was a staunch capitalist/anti-communist, so it makes sense that his ideology would bleed over into DEN Army's foreign policy. DEN Army disbanded shortly after or shortly before Franks' deletion - can't remember which exactly. Alphaks would be the person to ask for more info here.

DEN Central Command is the direct successor of the original DEN founded by General Powell in 2004. It does not have, and never has had a peace treaty with CP. I don't think DEN does peace treaties at all, as a matter of fact. Kinda goes along with that "no formal alliances" policy they are so keen on.

Congratulations on an excellent raid. It's very impressive to see much larger numbers mobilised at once, and it acts as a great antidote to fenda propaganda claiming raiders to be weak in numbers. I'll be joining you guys in a few weeks.

I'm sorry. It's just confusing when both groups are almost entirely elusively called DEN. COE, your post is the second one.

I didn't realise that DEN Jr. had been around 8 years, or are we celebrating recent invasions by DEN Sr. now? There are so many names are flying around, I'm not sure if anyone knows what's going on!

DEN Central Command, like all of its organizational predecessors, is commonly called DEN. DEN Army was always called DEN Army. You learn something new every day!

EDIT: Also, decrying the number of names, whilst simultaneously inventing two new ones, is in somewhat poor taste.

COE has got it right. That division occurred at a time when tension had been running high, leading to there being no official mutual acknowledgement between the DEN Army and the DEN CC. Just as their existence was not officially accepted, treaties signed by the opposing DEN side didn't have and still don't have any effect on the other.
Luckily, both branches had come to an understanding before Franks deletion and were even in talks of reforming. As COE rightly pointed out, the DEN has an intentionally very vague policy towards formal alliances and treaties, which further downplays the importance of a hypothetical understanding between DEN and CP.
To sum it up, the DEN is going to raid what it whats to raid, historical factors notwithstanding. And we are specially inclined to do so when it is in the company of such raiders as the ones with we currently are side by side in Capitalist Paradise.

I look forward to it being shown no mercy.
Don't be deceived when our Revolution has finally been stamped out and they tell you things are better now even if there's no poverty to see, because the poverty's been hidden...even if you ever got more wages and could afford to buy more of these new and useless goods which these new industries foist on you, and even if it seems to you that "you never had so much" - that is only the slogan of those who have much more than you.

I forgot about your foul temper, not that a wet sponge would help. I rarely 'dig' 10k, let alone 'boast' or 'brag', just ask Rachel; I am just as skeptical about my own region as anyone. Whereas 10k has no internal skepticism whatsoever, which is why I relate you and your ilk to a hive mind. Now if you don't 'mind' I have better things to be doing. :p
