Well, that RP just got interesting. Also, I'm staying with the one ship because it is a PFT ship actually, and it's isolated from the Republic because every Kreanolthan is a couple of galaxies away.

Meanwhile, a child plays a game of war by taking a planet and having two factories which produce rival drone armies armed with plasma, laser, missiles and so forth. First one to destroy the enemy factory wins, no rules other then shoot the enemy and don't shoot your own side...

I want to keep my country at a near EFT state in all eras, however, even though It would be like that, it would have very limited access to super-advanced alien tech, and be able to ultillize black holes, and "Ascendancy Gates" for FTL/Intergalactic travel?

The Sultanate would certainly be a galactic juggernaut, if the Grand Viziers weren't so busy squabbling amongst themselves.

And, eh, galactic takeover is against the tenets of Az. The Sultanate is more interested in spreading the word of the Golden Prophet and the Twin Gods to the universe's teaming masses.

Naaaw. You can have a few planets in the center, cause everyone tries to have the core, and only a few would get many planets there. Just keep your section of space and advance your nation into different galaxies as well as updating tech.
