My deffinition of "hold by the throat" will not involve changing game mechanics until several years down the road, when the WA has been so useless even you want it gone.

Did they ever use invasion as a tool? Because with the meathods used by modern invaders I could easily beat Gatesville at efficiency with only 50 nations.
