The worlds first Caber tossing world championship is here! Post a reply below to sign up! Of course, i don't know how popular the event will be but registration will continue until the 1st june, to give time. There will be frequent posts on this thread after this time for news views and results, simulated randomly of course. Here's how the games will work.
100 minute games.
however many rounds can fit in.
6 throws each in the round.
winning a round gives you another point.

Now, league tables will be published EVERY WEEKEND. and the dates and groups will be mapped out on the 3rd May.
United Commonwealth Of Ayrshire will be taking part.
Oh, by the way, if you want to host the championship, please make a bid below stating the name of your special stadiums, capacities and why you should generally host.

I would encourage you to offer more detail here - how will random scores be generated? Will there be any bonus for effective roleplaying?

I think this is an intriguing and refreshingly original idea - my Scottish half is even tempted to enter - but you'll have more success finding sign-ups if you can offer just a little more detail on how results will be generated.

I'm not happy with how you are scoring this. There is no place to put in RP bonuses to affect results. If you want to host an event then I suggest you use a program called a scornater

RP stands for roleplay and in most NS sports roleplaying has some degree of influence on results. I really recommend you read the sticky, Guide to Sports Rolepay to get a good idea of how things work. Otherwise you may find people won't sign up because they will not have confidence in you to deliver the tournament. Reading the stickies will definitely help you.

what's an RP bonus?

An RP bonus is a system where the players' posted roleplays are used to influence the final result. The three factors that normally go into results in most NS Sports events are randomness, rank, and roleplaying. Many events take little or no account of rank (past performances), and this one would clearly not. Comparatively few events do not reward roleplay in some fashion, although roleplay never determines winners and losers.

don't worry, i have taken all these problems into account, and have decided to make my own calculator. it will take into account:
1. Population
2. Life expectancy
3. amount of those things at the bottom of the screen that say top 5% or 10% of so and so...

The population thing is just bias towards nations who have been here for a long time. Still no RP bonus! I withdraw

What has life expectancy have to do with socrinating the games,I suggest you read the Roleplaying thread at the top of the NS Sports forum.
