Asgarn 12.7x99mm Heavy Machine Gun

PRODUCTION VERSION : http://img372.imageshack.us/img372/3856 ... anrha1.png

The Asgarn .50 BMG heavy machine gun is belt-fed, air-cooled machine weapon capable of semi-automatic and automatic fire. The Asgarn fires from a closed bolt at all times, and uses a short-recoil operated action with a vertically sliding locking block, which rises up to lock the bolt to the barrel extension, and drops down on recoil to unlock the bolt from the barrel. It also has a bolt accelerator, made in the form of a lever located at the bottom of the receiver. Upon recoil, once the barrel is unlocked from the bolt, it strikes the accelerator, so the kinetic energy of the recoiling barrel is quickly transmitted to the bolt, improving the reliability of the weapon.
It features a semi-direct gas-impingement system which by turning the gas plug from 1 to 6 increases and decreases the rate of fire of the machine gun by taking exiting gas from the barrel while firing and chanelling it to the bolt through reinforced gas tube, the gas plug system is also suitable (as seen on FN FAL´s) to increase reliability in extremely cold weather.

Barrels are screwed into the barrel extension and are not quick-detachable on standard Asgarn weapons; furthermore, once the barrel is installed in the weapon, the headspace must be adjusted prior to firing, or the weapon may fail to fire or produce a serious jam.The rear part of the barrel is enclosed in a short, tubular, barrel jacket with cooling slots, while the front part is fluted. The back of the receiver houses a heavily reinforced bolt buffer, and a special system of two additional buffers are used to soften the movement of the heavy barrel. On infantry guns, the cocking handle is installed on the right side of the weapon, but slots are made on both sides of the receiver for tank installations which may require a left-side cocking handle.

Asgarn machine guns use a disintegrating linked steel belt, with the feed switchable from one side to the other through the re-installation of certain parts in the feed unit. The belt feed is of the two stage type – every cartridge is first withdrawn from the belt toward the rear by the pivoting extractor lever, attached to the bolt. Once the cartridge is clear of the belt, it is lowered into a T-slot cut into the bolt face, and pushed forward into the barrel. Spent cartridge cases are forced down the T-slot and out of the weapon through an opening at the bottom of the receiver by the following cartridges, or by the pivoting belt extractor lever (for the last cartridge case). A rotary switch is used to select the track for left or right side feed.

Since the gun fires from a closed bolt, it has a separate firing pin, powered by its own spring, and hosted inside the bolt along with the sear and cocking lever. Upon the recoil stroke of the bolt, the cocking lever pulls the firing pin back until it is engaged by the sear. Once the bolt is fully in battery (locked closed), a pull on the trigger raises the trigger bar so it acts on the sear and releases the firing pin. The standard firing controls consist of a push-type thumb trigger and sear release buttons located between the dual spade grips. Alternatively, an electric solenoid trigger can be installed for mounted vehicle applications.

The Asgarn has an unusual method of providing semi-automatic fire – it has a bolt latch, which locks the bolt to the bolt buffer in the open position after each shot. Therefore, if gun is fired in semi-automatic mode (single shots), for each shot the operator must first release the bolt forward by pressing the bolt latch release, located next to the thumb trigger (as the gun fires from a closed bolt). After the bolt is released and the gun is loaded, the operator may push the trigger to fire a single bullet. If the automatic mode is desired, the bolt latch must be turned off and locked by turning its lock to the left. In this position it will not engage the bolt and the gun will fire continuously as long as the trigger is pressed. Asgarn heavy machine guns feature, among other items, an additional manual safety located next to the trigger.

Standard sights consist of a Hensoldt Optical Sight with 7.5x augmentation. Optionally, folding blade front and frame-type rear sights can be mounted. In this case the rear sight is mounted on the receiver, the front sight is located at the front of the receiver and protected by an arc-shaped sight protector. Additionally, various types of other telescopic and night sights can be installed using appropriate mountings.

M.A.C MGF-3 Universal Machine Gun

http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/5797/mgf3mac.png

The MGF-3 is a short-recoil operated, air cooled, belt fed weapon which fires from an open bolt. The barrel is quick-removable, and can be replaced in less than six seconds by a properly trained crew, although an asbestos glove is required to remove the hot barrel. The action of the weapon is operated by the recoil of the locked barrel, assisted by a muzzle booster which uses pressure from the muzzle blast to increase the recoil impulse.

Locking is achieved by a pair of rollers, which are forced outwards from the sides of the bolt head to engage cuts in the barrel extension. Locking (outward) movement of the rollers is controlled by the wedge-shaped front part of the bolt body; unlocking (inward) movement of the rollers by the cams made in the receiver. This is a simple and solid system which minimizes the length of parts that are under stress upon discharge, and also minimizes the strain on the receiver. On MGF-3 machine guns, two types of bolts are available, with standard weight (about 650 gram) for fast rate of fire and with heavy weight (about 900 gram) for slow rate of fire. It must be noted that those bolts also are used along with different return springs. The barrel is held in place by a hinged lock, located at the rear of the opening in the right side of the jacket. To remove the barrel, the operator must first lock the bolt in the open position (cock the weapon), and then turn the barrel lock to the right and forward. This will release the barrel and bring its breech area out of the jacket, so it can be grabbed (using the issued asbestos glove or other heat insulation means if the barrel is hot) and pulled back and out of the jacket. The new barrel is then inserted all the way forward and lock then is snapped into place, bringing the barrel into alignment with the action.

The gun is fed using belts only. Feed direction is from the left to right; the feed is of the one-stage, push-through type. The belt is same as for the MG 34, with steel links with open pockets, assembled into non-disintegrating 50-round lengths. The same MG 34 type “Gurttrommel” 50-round drum-type belt containers can be used with the MGF-3, and a new type of lightweight plastic 50-round belt container was developed in Anghele by M.A.C and is now issued with MGF-3 guns. The belt feed is operated by the reciprocating bolt which has a roller at the top of its body. This roller engages the cam track in the oscillating lever, located in the top-opening feed cover. The lever operates the belt pawls in two steps, on both opening and closing movement of the bolt, resulting in a smooth and positive feed. This two-step belt traction is particularly useful because the high rate of fire results in high-speed belt movement, and this system reduces the strain put on both the feed unit and belt links.

Current production MGF-3 guns can fire either non-desintegrating or desintegrating belts.

The trigger unit permits semi and automatic fire. The manual safety is of the cross-bolt, push button type, located at the top of the pistol grip. The charging handle is located at the right side of the receiver, and is separated from the bolt group (it does not move when gun is fired). Each MGF-3 is issued with an integral, adjustable bipod attached near the muzzle; MGF-3 guns may have two points for bipod attachment, one near muzzle and another near the center of the gun. In the medium role, the MGF-3 is used from the Lafette 42, a complicated foldable tripod with buffered cradle. A wide number of tripods is available for MGF-3 , as produced in several countries.

The standard sights are open, fully adjustable, and mounted on folding bases. The universal tripod has provisions for mounting telescopic sights for long range and indirect fire missions.

M.A.C Heavy Industries | Defense

http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/739/pdwoi7.png

The SF-9/P is a new PDW development of M.A.C Defense.

The SF-9/P PDW follows the current trend for modularity of design, with intent of providing a compact personal defense weapon of about pistol size but of greater effectiveness for military personnel which is normally not issued with rifle of any kind.It has already been adopted by the Anghele Army,Navy,Air Force and Law Enforcement, and is in use with some Special Forces units abroad.

The SF-9/P is delayed blowback operated weapon that fires in single shots 2 or 3 rounds bursts and in fully automatic mode. It is made mostly from rust and heat resistant metal alloy and impact resistant polymers, with metal alloy upper receiver and a polymer lower receiver. Barrel and bolt can be replaced to change the caliber from standard Armor Piercing 9x19 +P+ to .40 S&W ,357 SIG,.45 G.A.P Armor Piercing Rounds and the more common .45 ACP rounds for increased stopping power when perforation and armor piercing capabilities are not desired. The change will also require use of different magazines, which, in turn, may require replacement of the grip. The removable grip and the magazine body are made from polymer for easy check of remaining ammunition supply.

The SF-9/P features ambidextrous controls, including safety, fire mode selector, bolt catch release and magazine release. It is fitted with a telescopic buttstock. Sights are installed using integral Picatinny rail on the top of receiver, with standard being either open sights or red dot. Additional Picatinny rail is provided at the bottom of the gun housing, in front of the trigger guard.

Each unit comes with two magazines and cleaning kit.

The Gemtech sound suppressor shown is optional.

M.A.C Heavy Industries | Defense

New Personal Defense Weapon Prototype :

M.A.C | Defense A.P.W - 11

http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/796/apw.png

The design objective was the development of a cartridge for the use in the new concept of a Personal defense weapon (PDW), pistols, submachine guns and carbines. To increase the available off-the-shelf condition, the market sales perspectives are oriented to the civilian, the law enforcement and military market. The technical identities of the 7.92x24 mm caliber are much closer to this of the 9x19 mm NATO caliber then to the PDW smaller calibers 4.6x30 mm and 5.7x28 mm. The 7.92x24 mm is special designed to fulfill a multicaliber roll in the existing 9x19mm and .45 Auto frame platforms.

The 7.92×24 mm is shorter than the PDW small calibers 4.6×30mm and 5.7×28mm, this to allow the use in compact and sub-compact weapons. The main design objective was the use of the existing standard .32 Full Metal Jacket bullets of the .32 ACP cartridge. These are already for years available on the civilian market without the objections of the law enforcement community and a new armor piercing bullet technology designed and patented by Rik Van Bruaene. To comply in a multicaliber roll with the 9x19mm and .45 Auto frame platforms, the 7.92x24 mm caliber case has a special selected length of 24 mm and uses different bullet types for each frame platform to comply with their different lengths of 29.6 mm and 32.4 mm.

The 7.92x24mm S with short bullets and the 7.92x24mm N with long bullets

The design objective was the use of one standard case for both frame platforms and two series of bullets. On short series for the 7.92x24mm S cartridge to fit in the 9x19mm frame platforms and a long series for the 7.92x24mm N cartridge to fit in the .45 Auto frame platforms.

This round is capable of defeating the common Level IV "bulletproof" vests.

More informations on this cartridge here.

Caliber : 7.92x24mm

Rate Of Fire : 897 Rounds per Minute

Action : Recoil Operated, Rotating Barrel, Locked Breech

Firing Modes : Safe-Semi-Full Auto-3rds Burst

Weight : 2.7 Kg (Loaded)

Price : $820 USD

Domestic Production Rights : $4.780.000.000 USD

M.A.C Heavy Industries | Defense

Presenting the new M.A.C | Defense line of high-power Eagle pistols.

Eagle series of pistols are gas operated, locked breech pistols that use stationary (but removable) barrels. Locking is achieved using the separate rotating bolt with four radial lugs that enter the breech of the barrel for engagement with respective cuts.

The bolt is inserted into open-topped slide, which is operated using gas, which is bled from the bore through the small port drilled close to the chamber.

A short stroke gas piston is located below the barrel closer to the muzzle, and gas chamber is linked to the gas port with long channel, bored below the barrel.

Trigger is of single action type, with exposed hammer and ambidextrous safety, located at either side of the slide. Magazines are high capacity single stack. Sights are either fixed or adjustable, both front and rear being dovetailed into the barrel and slide respectively.

The Strayer Eagle and the Target Eagle.

The M1-T958 tank has a two-axis Raytheon Gunner's Primary Sight- Line of Sight (GPS-LOS) which increases the first round hit probability by providing faster target acquisition and improved gun pointing. The Thermal Imaging System (TIS) has magnification x10 narrow field of view and x3 wide field of view. The thermal image is displayed in the eyepiece of the gunner's sight together with the range measurement from a laser rangefinder. The Northrop Grumman (formerly Litton) Laser Systems Eyesafe Laser Rangefinder (ELRF) has a range accuracy to within 10m and target discrimination of 20m. The gunner also has a Kollmorgen Model 939 auxiliary sight with magnification x8 and field of view 8°.

The digital fire control computer is supplied by General Dynamics - Canada (formerly Computing Devices Canada). The fire control computer automatically calculates the fire control solution based on: lead angle measurement; bend of the gun measured by the muzzle reference system; velocity measurement from a wind sensor on the roof of the turret; data from a pendulum static cant sensor located at the centre of the turret roof. The operator manually inputs data on ammunition type, temperature, and barometric pressure.

The driver has either three observation periscopes or two periscopes on either side and a central image intensifying periscope for night vision. The periscopes provide 120° field of view. The DRS Technologies Driver's Vision Enhancer (DVE), AN/VSS-5, is based on a 328 x 245 element uncooled infrared detector array, operating in the 7.5 to 13 micron waveband. M.A.C Heavy Industries | Defense

Praetoria Class Battleship

Price: 5.500.000.000$

Image: http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7003/p ... aclass.png

Background:

Seeking to further its involvement in the naval arms market, NPS decided to develop a battleship class. While the design team that worked on the FAC-360 project wanted a sleek, stealthy design, this clashed with other demands. The main issue was that M.A.C and NPS executives saw the market for a battleship armed with many guns, to be used in support of amphibious landings. As the designers realized that the sheer amount of turrets would increase the ships RADAR cross-section, they decided to create two designs, using much of the same technology. One would be armed with many long range guns and the other will rely more on stealth than on firepower.
The Praetoria is the design that was made to carry as much guns as possible.

Specifications:

-Place of Origin: International.

-Designer: Nachmere Precision Systems | Naval Designs.

-Manufacturer: M.A.C Anghele, M.A.C Nachmere, and M.A.C Wolf Hold.

-Production Status: In Production.

-Crew: 450 officers and 1300 enlisted men.

-Length: 425.3 meters.

-Beam: 67meters.

-Draft: 20.3 meters.

-Displacement: 175,000 tons.

-Missiles: 64XASL-720, 36XASL-360, 24XAAM-720, 64XAAM-360

-Guns: 8X510mm/50 calibers ETC, 6X260mm ETC, 8X150mm ETC, 10X20mm Gatling.

-Anti Submarine: 16 torpedoes and 40 depth charges.

-Sensors: Air-Surface RADAR, Passive/Active Sonar, Other (see full text)

-Armor: 250mm maximum, 50mm minimum.

-Propulsion: Three NNE1 nuclear reactors, 6 steam turbines, 6 shafts, 442,000 sHP

-Top speed: 35 knots.

-Range: Virtually unlimited (Reactor life span of 25 years)

Construction and structure:

The Praetoria like a true battle ship is mainly made of steel. Some parts like the sensor mast, bridge, and internal divisions are made of plastic composites. The ship has an unusual hull shape called “Tumblehome”, meaning the upper deck is narrower than the water line. The ship also has a ram shaped bow, meant to cut through the waves rather than ride over them. Both of these features, while seemingly reminiscent of days gone by, are actually effective both hydro-dynamically and especially for reducing the RADAR cross-section of the ship.
The ships heavy guns are carried in turrets on the top deck, with the lower decks holding missile bays. Ammunition is stored in highly protected magazines under the huge turrets. Almost all of the crew quarters are arranged under the bridge, as the bridge is the center of all activities onboard. The bridge itself along with much of the ships sensors is super imposed on the center of the ship, between the two main gun turrets.
To the rear of the hull is an internal 2 helicopter hangar and landing pad.

Weaponry:

The Praetoria is armed with anti-surface and anti-air weaponry of all types and ranges. While the ships arsenal of missiles is quite large enough to engage in even the most intense fighting, it also has a very massive gun array.

1) Guns:

The guns on the Praetoria are house in turrets on the sides and center of the upper deck. All guns can be retracted or lowered to reduce their cross-section. The arsenal includes 22 ETC guns, 8 of which are 500mm/50 calibers that fire a 2000kg round to a maximum range of 60 kilometers. All gun turrets are operated from the lower part of the bridge by electronic controls. The guns are laid to target using data from a FCS system (see below). The smaller, 150mm guns also have an electro-optic system for close range encounters.
This massive fire power is mainly meant to support amphibious landings by completely suppressing the enemy’s positions. At a secondary role the guns can be used to engage naval targets at ranges of 0-60 kilometers.
The Praetoria also has 10 20mm Gatling guns in retractable turrets, which are a part of the CIWS/APS. The guns are meant to engage incoming missiles but can also be manually aimed at small surface threats at close ranges

2) Missiles:

The Praetoria is armed with 4 types of missiles. Two of the missiles are meant for engaging land and sea targets, and the other two meant for air defense.
ASL-360/720: Originally developed for the FAC-360, the ASL-360 missile is a dual purpose, medium range missile capable of engaging land and sea targets with a HE warhead. The ASL-360 has a small RADAR cross section and low flight altitude allowing it to evade enemy countermeasure and air defense systems. The missile has two strike modes. The first is “Naval” in which the missile flies at sea skimming (5 meters) altitude and then hits the enemy vessel near the water line. The second is “Ground” in which the missile sea skims up to the shore line and then climbs to 40 meters and attacks its target from above. In both modes the missile is guided by several systems (see specifications). The ASL-720 is essentially an up scaled ASL-360. It uses the same electronics and operates in much the same way, but has a much longer range and a larger payload. The ASL-720 is the main anti-surface missile on the Praetoria, but it is complimented by the ASL-360 for use against smaller targets that do not require the expenditure of the larger missile.
Both the ASL-360 and ASL-720 are launched from VLS on the upper decks.

ASL-360/ASL-720 specifications:
Length: 4 meters/6.5 meters
Weight: 420 kg/1400 kg
Warhead: 130 kg HE fragmentation/ 450kg HE fragmentation
Engine: Solid fuel rocket at launch and a turbofan while cruising.
Range: 200km/2000km
Flight Altitude: Sea skimming (5 meters)/ Terrain Hugging (40 meters)
Speed: 0.85 Mach
Guidance: Combined Inertial/GPS + terrain reference/ electro-optical + IR

AAM-360S: Based on the original AAM-360 developed for the FAC-360, this version is meant only for the point defense role. It can engage targets as small as air launched anti-shipping missiles at short ranges and high speed. The missile is guided by a combination of RADAR and an IIR seeker. When launched it is guided to its target by RADAR and then switches to IIR guidance for the last second of travel. The AAM-360S on the Praetoria are launched from 4 retractable box launchers on the top deck.

AAM-360 Specifications:
Length: 2.11 meters
Weight: 97 kg
Warhead: 22 kg HE fragmentation
Engine: Solid fuel rocket
Range: 0.2-10 km
Service Ceiling: 7000 meters
Guidance: RADAR Command to Line of Sight and IIR seeker.

AAM-720: The AAM-720 is a medium range SAM system that gives the Pratoria very good anti-aircraft abilities. The missile is launched vertically from the rear part of the upper deck. It is guided by a dual semi-active RADAR and IIR seeker which allows engaging targets with low RADAR cross sections or targets with advanced ECMs.

AAM-720 Specifications:
Length: 3.5 meters
Weight: 560 kg
Warhead: 40 kg HE fragmentation
Engine: Solid fuel rocket
Range: 10-110 km
Service Ceiling: 21,000 meters
Guidance: RADAR Command to Line of Sight and IIR/Smi Active RADAR seeker.

4) Torpedoes:
4 torpedo launchers, 2 at the front and to the rear of the ship, allow the Praetoria to carry 8 ready to fire torpedoes of up to 400mm in diameter. Another 8 torpedoes can be carried in the loading systems.

5) Depth Charges/Acoustic Decoys launchers:
3 launchers for standard size depth charges and are located at each side of rear hull. Up to 40 standard sized depth charges size charges can be carried in a loading system with 10 ready to launch. 10 acoustic decoys are ready to fire and 20 more held in the loading system. This gives the Praetoria an ability to engage submarines at close ranges.

Sensors and fire control:

Most sensors aboard the Praetoria are located on the integrated mast on top of the bridge area. The following systems are used to detect and engage targets:

1)An integrated fire control system guides both the ASL-360/720 and AAM-360/720 to their targets. The system processes information from the sensors for the ASL-360/720, giving the missile GPS data calculated by the RADAR or entered manually, target trajectory, ground imagery (if available), and target imagery(if available). When reaching the target the missile sensors use what data is available for terminal guidance. For AAM-720 the system guides the missile to one second distance of the target using RADAR data, from which point sensors on the missile take over.

2)A multi-purpose air and surface passive electronically scanned RADAR system is used to detect and track targets at ranges of up to 200 kilometers and altitudes of up to 25 kilometers. The RADAR communicates information to the integrated fire control system.

3)A separate fire control system and RADAR is used for the long range guns on board. RADAR is used to range targets and than a digital ballistic fire control system which calculates a fire solution based on the following data: bend of the gun measured by the muzzle reference system; velocity measurement from a wind sensor; data from a pendulum static cant sensor; temperature, and barometric pressure from a sensor on the turret roof; target speed by RADAR; Coriolis effect, etc.

4)A close range RADAR and fire control for the 20mm guns, used to direct 20mm fire towards close in threats. The system also allows to manually fire the guns at small close range targets if needed.

5)The Praetoria carries a SONAR suite located in the front and rear of the ship. To the front is a hull integrated active/ passive variable depth SONAR array. The array is used to detect, track and classify underwater targets. The front SONAR array also has interception SONAR capable of identifying and classifying hostile SONAR systems. The rear towed passive SONAR array is used for enhanced ASW capabilities when needed.

6)Incoming missile warning system which combines 4 small fire control radars and 4 IR and UV sensors to detect incoming missiles homing in on the ship. This system works with the ships HASK system to defeat incoming missiles and projectiles.

Counter Measures and Electronic Warfare:

The Praetoria has a full countermeasures, early warning and electronic warfare suite to deal with all types of threats. Here are the main systems:

1)HASK- Hard and Soft Kill anti-missiles and projectile system combines two systems. The first is a soft kill system based on radio jamming and optical/IR decoys to defeat small guided missiles. The second is a hard kill system which is similar to the one on NPS AFVs, and is meant to defeat threats that were not defeated by soft-kill methods. The Hard kill system, unlike the one on the FAC-360, does not use quick launch projectiles. The system has two weapon systems. The first system is the AAM-360, already discussed above. The second are 10 20mm guns that can fire up to 4500 rounds per minute at incoming threats.

2)TOSK- Torpedo Soft Kill System- uses data from the SONAR arrays to detect incoming torpedoes. When a torpedo is located an acoustic decoy is launched and the ship’s crew is advised as to the best maneuver to avoid the incoming threat.

3)RADAR warning Receiver is located in the mast and detects hostile RADAR emissions to alert the fire control and countermeasures systems of possible threats. The receiver locates and ranges hostile systems allowing the ship to evade or engage threats.

Mobility and Maneuverability:

The Praetoria is powered by 3 104 MW nuclear reactors. These power 6 steam-turbines that turn 6 shafts. The result is 442,000 shaft horse powers, enough to move this massive ship at 35 knots. The ship also has rudders and bow-thrusters for harbor maneuvering.

Helicopter Operations:

The Praetoria has a helicopter landing pad and hangar capable of holding two medium helicopters (like the Blackhawk). This area is located to the back of the ship, with the landing pad being an elevator which lowers to the hangar floor.

Stealth/Low Cross Section:

The Praetoria has a 20% lower combined cross-section than most ships her size. This was achieved thanks to several features:
1)“Tumblehome“shaped hull which decreases RADAR returns from side-profile.

2)Ram shaped bow, which decreases RADAR returns from a front-profile.

3)Retractable or semi-retraceable weapons that together with specially shaped turrets reduce RADAR cross section from all angles.

4)Thermal absorbing materials coat most heat producing spots.

5)Prairie-Masker system which reduces SONAR cross-section of the ship.

Command Control and Communications:

The bridge is fully digitized, and is managed by the CSC3 system. This system collects and displays information from all the ships sensors and system to the four main stations of the bridge: command, propulsion and navigation, fire control and EW, and communications. The system allows each station to access information needed from any part of the ship, share it instantly with the other stations or other vessels or other parts of the ship.
External communications include satellite communications, and radio transmitters/receivers in all standard military frequencies. The communication system allows for voice, data and visual communications. Internal communications comprise of an internal audio, data and loud speaker systems in every critical part of the ship.
Navigation systems are based on GPS navigation, with inertial systems as a backup. The GPS system is ready to integrate into any existing battle management system, and has very flexible code.

Safety and Emergency:

The Praetoria has many systems to assure crew survival and safety in emergency and routine situations. These are the main systems and features:
1)A fire detection and suppression system which detects fire using heat/light sensors and uses BCF canisters to suppress the fire. The ship also has hoses using seawater for use on the upper deck and manually operated BCF canisters for use in the lower decks.

2)All ammo and fuel stores are designed to direct an explosion out of the ship and to seal off to prevent water flooding the ship.

3)40 inflatable life rafts with water tight survival equipment and supplies are located on the bridge and upper deck, and can be deployed in less than 3 minutes to allow the crew to abandon ship.

4)A sickbay with 65 beds and equipment to deal with up to 150 wounded (using other parts of the ship) is located on the ship. The sickbay is equipped to deal with major trauma and routine injuries. There is a fully equipped operation room and a 20 bed intensive care area. The sick bay has full access to external communications allowing the ships doctors to communicate with other ship or shore based medical facilities by audio and visual communications. The Sick bay is located near the Helipad to allow medical evacuation quickly and easily.

Crew quarters and amenities:

Located mainly under the bridge is the crew sleeping and amenities area. This are includes:

1) Crew quarters, separated for officers and enlisted man, with a total of 1000beds. Each sailor has a private storage area. There is one toilet and one shower per 30 men.

2)4 messes and 2 kitchens, capable of seating 400 men at once.

3)R&R facilities including 2 gyms, 6 media-entertainment rooms( seating 50 each), 2 canteens, a communications room with internet access and satellite phone lines, and a library.

M.A.C Heavy Industries | Defense

NPS has finished development of the Rollin Dead Special Operations Craft. The SOC-12 "Nightmare", as it is now known, price per unit is et at 9.000.000 NS$

SOC-12 Nightmare

http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu32 ... 09/SOC.png

Background:

The Special Operations Craft 12 “Nightmare” is the result of a request by the Holy Empire of the Rolling Dead for a small, well armed boat to conduct special operations in harsh conditions, with a combination of firepower and compact size. The boat was to hold 5 passengers and had to be easily sunk by its crew in case of compromise.
NPS designed a 12 meter long, low cross-section, fast craft with a 12.7 machinegun and an automatic grenade launcher. High firepower, maneuverability and stealth make it ideal for small team infiltration and patrol.

Specifications:

Compliment: 5 with full gear
Displacement: 22 tons
Length: 12 meters
Beam: 2 meters
Draft: 0.6 meters
Weapons: 12.7mm Machinegun (800 rounds), 40mm AGL(200 rounds)
Armor: Kevlar for the crew compatments

Layout and construction:

The SOC-12 is built from a PVC sandwich, Kevlar and coated in radar absorbent materials. Three crewmen sit in the central compartment, one at the controls, another sitting tandem behind him with navigation equipment to his sides. A laser protected canopy protects these two operators, and is opened sideways for fast dismount. A third person is seated behind them, opposite to the direction of travel, with communications equipment to his sides and storage space to his front. The communications operator has a wide roof hatch for fast dismount and unloading equipment from the storage. Two other men operate the fore 12.7 MG and the aft 40mm AGL. They seat in separate compartments with the guns fire control to their front and extra ammo to their sides. Both weapon stations have wide hatches for fast dismount. All crew compartments are protected from light arms by a Kevlar coat. Engines are located under the 40mm operator compartment.

Propulsion:

Two 120hp (120kw) diesel motors power 2 water jets that have thrust vectoring nozzles. This arrangement gives the SOC-12 high speed and maneuverability and allows it to operate in shallow waters. Fuel for the diesel engines is located under the main crew compartment. The use of two smaller engines and two smaller water jets was made for redundancy, assuring the SOC-12 can continue to operate even when one engine ceases to function.

Armament:

The SOC-12 has two remotely operated and stabilized weapon stations, one fore (12.7mm) and one aft (40mm). Both have day and night (Thermal Imaging) optics with a laser range finder and a digital fire control system. The optics used by the guns are also very capable tools for observation. Most elements of the weapon stations were borrowed from NPS AFVs. The mounts can be retracted into the shape of the hull to decrease RADAR cross-section. In remote operation the operator has an LCD display and a control pad, and controls the weapon completely inside a Kevlar protected compartment. The weapons can be operated manually with the operator half-exposed in the hatch.

Communications and Interface:

The crew has internal communications provided by headsets. The system is not wireless to reduce emissions from the boat. For external communications the boat has room for radio and satellite communications, and will accept any standard sized devices of this nature. Any crew member can connect to the external communications.
A main processing unit combines information from all stations, and allows access to it from any station. Each station has an LCD screen display and digital controls. The “driver” also has a HUD with navigation, propulsion and weapons data.

Navigation:

The SOC-12 has a GPS navigation system with ability to install combat management systems. The boat also has a radio navigation system and a compass. Navigation information is displayed on the helm station’s controls and the navigator’s controls.

Low Cross Section:

The SOC-12 is not stealth per say. However, it does have several features that reduce the chance of discovery by hostile forces:
1)The hull is designed with to give low returns to RADAR systems.
2)Thermal emissions reducing materials coat the engine area and the hull is painted with thermal image reducing paint.
3)Sound emissions have been lowered to the possible minimum using insulators and engine modifications.
4)Weapons can be retracted to the outline of the craft to further reduce RADAR returns.

Self Sinking:

The SOC-12 can be sunk in less than 2 minutes minutes using a special system. The system uses 3 electrically powered pumps to flood the three compartments and sink the boat. If needed the openings used by the pumps can be opened without the pumps operating, for a quieter self-sinking, which takes longer (depending on conditions).
The crew can destroy all the electronics onboard by using a system that overloads the circuits and burns them.

4 hardpoints allowing for 2250kg of load each.
Avionics:
RADAR: NPSEA FAR100 AESA
Radar Warning Receiver: NPSEA FRWR100
EW and Countermeasures: NPSEA CEWS-1

General:

The Indigenous Nachmere Fighter-2000 is a twin engine, single-seat, multi-purpose fighter aircraft. It was designed by NPS for use by Nachmere forces and for export. The concept behind the project was to create a fighter using existing technology and resources combined from western and eastern designs. The aircraft was named "Haribon" after the mighty eagle species.

Aerodynamics and layout:

The INF-2000 is a single seat, a delta wing and all-moving forward canard design. Construction is mainly carbon-fiber and glass composites. The design is inherently unstable allowing for very good maneuverability at high and low speed. Due to this inherent instability a fly-by-wire digital system is installed to assist the pilot in control of the aircraft. This digital system allows the pilot to maximize the ability of the aircraft without exceeding its capabilities and crashing.

Propulsion:

The INF-2000 is powered by 2 NAI-141 after-burning turbo-fans. The engines provide 35.000 (160kN) pounds of thrust with after-burners engaged. Weight ratio for the engines is 10:1. The engine nuzzles are pitch vectored with +/-20 degrees of movement.

Avionics:

The INF-2000 has 4 main Systems in its avionics suite:
1) FAR100 Radar: This is a Active Electronically Scanned Array radar with 120 degrees field of view in azimuth and elevation. Capable of tracking up to 30 aerial and ground targets in long (up to 300km) and short ranges, displaying them on screen and in the HMD(for close range targets). The FAR100 has a low probability of interception by passive sensors, using a frequency hopping system. If needed the FAR100 can be used to overload hostile passive sensors by focusing its emissions at maximum kilowatt.
2) CEWS-1: The Countermeasures and Electronic Warfare System combines several sub-systems:
* FRWR100: This is a Radar Warning Receiver which identifies tracks and classifies Radar emissions from possible threats (up to 400 km). The FRWR100 coordinates with other elements of the CEWS-1 system, the FAR100 and Anti-Radiation missiles (if carried) to allow the crew to engage and engage or evade threats quickly.
* Friend/Foe Identification system
*Electronic Countermeasures System, which automatically jams radar threats detected by the FRWR100.
*Infra Red and Ultra Violet Missile Approach Warning System, which warns of approaching missiles and interacts with other systems to defeat them.
*Automatic Flare and Chaff dispensers, cooperate with missile approach system and FRWR to defeat incoming missiles.
3) NINE: Night Integral Navigation and Engagement is an integral all weather/low visibility navigation and ground target engagement system. Using a ground tracking radar, FLIR sensor and a laser range finder/designator, the NINE allows for ground attack operations with maximum accuracy and without external pods. The NINE system is located under the wings (on both sides) and is integrated into the aircrafts aerodynamic design.
4) GIN: GPS and Inertial Navigation is a system that combines data from GPS as well as an inertial Navigation system to give navigation information even when the GPS system fails or the satellite signal fails.

Cockpit and Interface:

The INF-2000 features an all glass cockpit with HMD (Helmet Mounted Display). Six LCD screens coupled with a central control touch screen allow the pilot to choose what information to display where. All warnings appear on a selected warnings screen and also announced by a voice system.
All systems are controlled by the central touch screen except for engine power (controlled by two throttles) and ailerons/elevators controlled by a side-stick.
In addition to these conventional controls, the INF-2000 has a voice-control system for many of its non-essential functions to allow faster more convenient interface. The system must have a template for a specific pilot in order for him to utilize it.
The HMD or Helmet Mounted display shows all flight data, FLIR view, navigation, threat warnings and weapons targeting. It allows the pilot to direct weapons to the targets simply by looking at their direction and pressing a button on his side-stick.
The pilot is supported by oxygen, temperature control and counter pressure systems as well as NBS protection. The ejection seat is designed to minimize injuries during ejection and maximize survival of ejecting pilots.

Reduced Signature:

As noted, the INF-2000 is not a stealth aircraft. It dose however have a very low Radar and Thermal signature achieved by the following features:
*The Airframe is designed to lower radar returns. It is also designed to lower heat emission. The air inlets are s-shaped to cover the engine fans (a major source for radar returns).
*Most of the airframe is coated in Radar Absorbent Materials.
*The Airframe and Engines have been designed to keep noise emissions to the possible minimum.

Armament:

1)20mm Gatling gun: mounted on the starboard wing root, 400 rounds of ammunition are carried for this weapon. Its high rate of fire (6300 rpm) and high muzzle velocity (1050 meters per second) make it ideal for close range air-to-air fighting as well as strafing soft ground targets.
2)The internal weapons bay can accommodate most types of air-to-air missiles and a range of small diameter air-to-ground munitions.
3)Using the external hardpoints reduces the aircraft performance and increases its signature, but allows for a larger and more varied payload of air-to-ground munitions.
