History
1437: Independence
The papers of how the nation became independent were lost, but papers on when the nation became still exist. Latin was originally spoken in the area, and the original name of it was Gratusterra. The nation had a system similar to the roman empire. Democracy was introduced in 1922.
1961: Coup d'état and Garry as the ruler
In 1961, a man known as Garry (his real name is unknown, as it has been hidden from the public since) leads a Coup d'état against the government. Garry holds complete power, all democracy is removed, and the nation is renamed to "Garrystan".
1964: Rebels revolt
Citizens begin to kill government officials and police. 300,000 lives are lost, and the fight continues until 1968 when Garry bombs to southern part of the country with nuclear bombs. Garry's rule continues.
2003: Rebels revolt again
The citizens begin to fight in a similar fashion like before. The fight continues until 2006, when Garry bombs the northern part of the country.
An abandoned settlement touched by the nuclear bombs (City 8 ).

Economy
The country's economy has been completely devastated since 1961, as a result of the war.
Gross domestic product: $102.736 million
GDP per capita: $92
Population below poverty line: 98%
Unemployment rate: 79%
Income tax rate: 11%
Inflation rate: 52%
Most Garrystanians can't afford a house, so the average citizen moves into houses without paying for them (and they move out again as soon as police forces patrol the area).
There is, however, a small amount of rich people. They are usually part of the media industry.
Garrynians being poor might tarnish the classic image of poor people as beggars on the street, having dirty and worn out clothers, et cetera - however, this is far from the truth. The average citizen simply steal until they have what they need. Their quality of life is likely the same as a middle-class person, despite them being listed as 'poor' in the statistics.

Transport
Transport is done mostly by walking, as the number of cars is very sparse. On average, there is 1 car per 1114 person. For this reason, it is difficult for people to move far away from the area they live in. Most seen cars are wrecks (war is the reason for this). The only form of public transport is by train.
There is also very few major roads in the country; in fact, it has no highways and it has few train tracks. No roads go out of the country, as citizens are not allowed to leave it.
All major roads and train tracks in the country.
