What kind of music is popular in your nation?

Postby The Independent Provinces » Sat Feb 11, 2012 12:33 pm

What kind of music is most popular in your nation?
In the Independent Provinces classical, country, patriotic/military tunes, and music that is 40's style is the most listened to. Music like techno and rap, although there are no laws against it, is culturally shunned.

The Rhyce Legacy actually has many profound musicians of the modern world, such as Alex Hicks, Jeff Padgett, Steven Kotelnikov, Nick Verselvo, and our newly crowned king, Alec Rhyce, also seems to be the musical genius. He is able to play the bass guitar, and drums.

Under the younger generations, pop and rockmusic is very popular. The very old like to listen to Folkmusic. Classical music is also very popular and knowledge of the great composers is needed to pass your Matura (Highschool exam)

There are no laws prohibiting forms of music, nor is there censorship on certain words.

Cruciland has lots of techno, metal, and industrial, along with militaristic tunes. (Basically every patriotic song written) Some semi-popular genres include jazz, normal rock, Gospel, and trailer music. (Wow, never thought it would catch on) The theocracy, however, has banned black metal, and shunned hip-hop and rap due to it's influences, and in hip-hop and rap's case, really s***ty music.

Music in Wirbel

Postby Wirbel » Mon Feb 13, 2012 8:23 pm

The young like Electropop, Techno-hop, rap, and alternative rock (and anything autotuned) while the middle aged like classic rock and Jazz, and the old tend to like classical music and Jazz music. However, nationalists tend to like marches and classical music. Otto I, our young leader (24yrs.) says he likes
...classical music, marches, and Jazz.

YellowApplan musical genres tend to be fusions of electronic and orchestral influences, utilizing heavy electronic auditory effects and synthesizers with brass and chamber instrumentations. This stems from the popularity of dubstep and other electronic genres popular in the former United States - particularly YellowApple, Inc.'s prior home of California - immediately prior to YellowApplan independence from the United States of America.

Traditionally music in the TBRE has a lot of Russian elements, and generally tragic/haunting/dark/patriotic neo-classical pieces have proven to be popular.
The populace has also appeared to have a particular prediction for techno music.

The music is kinda tribal with a lot of drums and strong vocals, sometimes wind instruments, for the traditionalist ones. The young people like foreign rhythms like pop, metal, rap and punk. The obscene lyrics are banned in public.
Sorry for my bad english.

Mostly soft rock or classical that doesn't disturb people when they are working.

Pop, punk, techno, dubstep, and soft rock. But that doesn't mean you won't hear somebody walking down the street singing country or show tunes quietly. Unfortunately, we are in the process of a rap plague that is sweeping the nation and claiming youth to its dark, animalistic tones.
