The BRFA are delighted to announce their fourth season of results, including their qualifiers for the next round of UICA and Rushmori competitions.

Bleak Rock has a history of four competing noble families, Hús Hreindýr of the Caribou, Hús Hrafninn of the Raven, Hvítabjörninn Hús, of the Bear, and Hús Náhvalur of the Narwhal. With heraldry and rivalries amongst them, and a complicated alliance and enemy history that reaches back hundreds of years, these four Hús used to despise each other, and fought for supremacy on the island. Those days are gone now, but the island is still roughly divided into four quarters, and teams in the league very definitely fly the flag for a particular Hús.

The Whirl Islands Premier League Season 8

It's the second season of this revamped Whirl Islands Premier League, and we saw a lot of surprises, like for example the end of the Sharks-NFC domination, and a new team celebrating their first national championship. So now we're going to present the results:

Well, first it was the Copa de los Príncipes, and now the Premier League trophy is going to the shores of Branta Lake thanks to the Greencaps, whose unbeaten streak in the playoff helped them break the domination displayed by both Navel sides. The Sharks tried to exert some pressure to retain their title, but they were unable to stop Portland and had to settle for the second TQCC berth. The Red Diamonds (who ended in third place again), Navel FC, whose disappointing playoff performance made them drop to fourth place, and Eastburg (who will return to the UICA scene after missing international action last season) will be the Whirl-Islander representatives in the Globe Cup, while at the same time, FC Atlantis will have to watch their rivals on TV...

It seems the only possible way for Racing de Terranova to finish in first place of something is putting them along Sparta, Narissa, Port-Vieux, Union and a promoted outfit in a separate league. Regrettably for their interests, the first place of the relegation playoff does not give a special prize. Both Docklands representatives, Sparta and Union managed to keep their places in the next Premier League thanks to the 3 bonus points and their rivals' punctures, and Narissa Dolphins and Port-Vieux, who started with 0 points, managed to get rid of that disadvantage mainly thanks to FC Terranova's mistakes, those that in the end allowed their rivals to render their small advantage useless and made them return to the Campeonato Nacional.

The Whirl Islands Campeonato Nacional Season 11

We at the Premier League may have lost the Terranova Derby for at least the next season, however, Náutico will be coming back to revive their ~~path~~epic showdowns against Port-Vieux. The second team from Puerto Viejo managed to win this Campeonato Nacional edition after being involved in a hot head-to-head with FC Moncton for the promotion to the Premier League. Moncton, despite having choked in the critical moments of the season, will have a "consolation prize": a berth to the next SBCC, along with Náutico and Lagoon Crocodiles, who ended third again. This season's surprise package was called Hoxvathor Seahawks, who snatched the last SBCC berth from Athletic Victoria, Sporting Ayacucho and Arica FC after a dreadful first part of the season. Halcones de Maracaibo were unable to even pose a significant threat to the teams fighting for international berths, and Olimpia were unable to defend that fourth place achieved last season and ended dead last this season.

Stachland's 2022 National Series Season
For the first time in nearly a decade, a team other than one of the "Big Five"—that group consisting of the Gurchar Mariners of the Eastern Conference, the Manju Island Kingfishers and the Chevrin Nova of the Central Conference, and the Chevronia Stars and DiKalbe Thunder Devils of the Western Conference—managed to win their conference, as the Bruntesville Gliders ran away with the Central Conference title, beating defending league champions Manju Island. While the Gliders were defeated 2-1 by DiKalbe in the league semi-final, their success bodes well for the future of Stachlandic football, which has been dominated for years by a select few teams.

While the Bruntesville Gliders were the Cinderella team of the season, another squad in a similar situation, the Lipachi White Falcons, were sadly incapable of holding on to their early Eastern Conference lead, ending the season five points behind the Gurchar Mariners.

The most notable personnel change during this season was the departure of national team goalkeeper Navering Pounchtal from the Tremmino Trebuchets, after four years with that club.

This season also marks the first time in which Stachlandic teams will compete in major international club competitions, with the Gurchar Mariners participating in the TakilQuip Champions' Cup, and the DiKalbe Thunder Devils, Bruntesville Gliders, and Lipachi White Falcons participating in the Globe Cup.

Their midfield and defence are their weak points, with their midfield remaining unchanged over the break. Cape Renko will almost certainly have the Eastern rangers right on their back, and Xven and McKenzies will be relied on more than ever to score goals. It should be a nice challenge for the Dolphins, who will try and become the first team to win back to back titles since the once mighty Western Hillmen did it in Season I and II in the old league.

The team relies on speed, and manager Wendell West (former captain of Brenton Athletic) has chosen some speedy youngsters to represent the team, including Brothers John and Michael Reading. It should be a year that has its ups and downs for Leads City, but they should come out the better for it either way.

Another addition is the danger of relegation to the ST National Conference, which is for Semi Pro clubs only, meaning if a team is relegated the team is forced to go Semi Pro. Many are calling out that this is harsh and this rule could be changed around come next season, but for now the rule stands. Playoffs have been added to the Third Division as well, with the same rules as the Second Division applying.

International transactions

We're just gonna assume Alex Baxter has retired by now.

International competition

Estadio Prosperea was able to garner much more than a single vote in a suitably Pythagorean runoff. Unión de Ciudagua defeated a team from an variously-transcribed city (phonetic spelling ftw), while Arcrés Millos stumbled against another date-savvy Mytanar team. CSD Trecelunas left their opponents tilting at the proverbial and won again while their crosstown rivals were losing to the Bradwell Saints.

Alianza Ciruelas beat Go Sushi Apo’olo (no word on whether the apostrophe curving is important) and then outscored the Port Kostas Strikers while Blén CA won also. Unión de Ciudagua beat South Coast United; Deportivo Peralta built up a lead but found São Jorge unbelievably cold; CSD Trecelunas built up a lead and then nothing happened.

Blén CA cleaned up against some monarchists, Ciruelas won more tepidly over a less provocative side. Then Blén CA...um. Gosh. Knights. Jury's still out on that one, I guess. Anyway they won. Ciruelas faced...oh never mind, it's the same team, that'd explain that. Ojedo Cerro left Corinthian in high spirits, then added more goals at home, or vice versa.

CA Condadore finally showed up, and weren't all that great. Unión de Ciudagua were a little better, making their way into the Globe Cup knockouts. CSD Trecelunas...contributed to an exciting group, but did not themselves do much exciting.

Blén CA, seeking a little more Cabañas effect, took some heavyish losses on the road and honestly didn't deserve to go through on goal difference. Ojedo Cerro were also somewhat on the inept side, but Alianza Ciruelas actually squeezed through. Hmm. Maybe they're just a good cup team...

They would lose to a lot of Ranca Toco attack, however. Unión de Ciudagua handled one team containing another player from Aguazul, but lost to a second, which doesn't make Sortani's job any easier.

ICD Villago lost in their--the, even!--first round. They're not that great.

The Season

Correcting an error meant that fifth-division teams should be more appropriately competitive against everyone else in the future. Still, there's a bit of clamor for even more equity between divisions.

Primera División

Sometimes, by which is meant pretty much always, when a team wins a championship, we feel glad for the people who have been fans for a while. Sure, the bandwagon-hoppers feel glad, particularly if there are lots of them since the same team has won a recent championship, but people don't pay as much attention to them.

And then, there is Blén CA.

Because there's an outside change that some of the bandwagon-hoppers really rooted for old, now defunct teams back in the day, back in the now-disturbingly-relevant Centro Deportivo Nacional. Whereas the Blén CA rooters specifically? Were kind of considered insane for actually believing in the stadium name.

Um, let's see. Some biggish names returning to the UICA circuit, and the long if not biggish name of Universidad de Dénprade. Despite their negative goal differential, mostly inflicted by 12 de noviembre in a 8-1 takedown of Universidad de Dénprade that still wasn't enough to get Rule 12 in effect. The previous champions were--shocker!--upset a lot, particularly towards the end of the season (they drew twice with admitted favorites Blén). Still, anything could happen at the bottom of that table.

Segunda División

Newcomer ICD Villago posted ten victories to the other newcomers' ten defeats, making one case for bringing divisions closer together. Still, inertia is a powerful force.

Deportivo Peralta began the final day second in the table, and that only by eight goals of difference behind ICD Villago. Then they went to Rofi and the radical republicans played CD Quemavilla at home.

While the gap-closing movement may have lost some momentum thanks to Independiente Peralta finishing a cool baker's dozen of points above the basement, it picked back up with Estudiantes' dominance. More than a quarter of the goals they conceded came on the final day, when they'd already clinched the title. They are really something else.

Alianza Ciruelas, to be fair, benefited from playing only fifth-division side left in the thing (see, the change worked!), but most of these are interdivisional at this point and Ciudagua are either very unlucky or hurt from being listed first in the thingie.

Then I added more towns where she has lots of fans such as Rio De Janeiro, Manila ect and finally now Miley World has 92 real towns from all around the world and when you have real towns it's kinda hard to not name your teams after real teams.

Despite the vociferous torrent of complaints that could be heard pouring out of the mouths of supporters in the CMZ prior to the start of the season, the Orange and Silver scored more goals than anyone else in the First Division and put to shame the suggestion that Sacha Chrétien's 4-5-1 would be too defensive. Cotdelapomais Jackson Diawara won the First Division's Golden Boot award, having netted nineteen of the club's fifty goals, while Egoitz Malgor flourished in his role as a left wing threat, leading the league in assists and scoring ten goals of his own. But perhaps the greatest success story was that of the nineteen-year-old Eduard Winogradsky, a product of the club's powerful youth system. Young Winogradsky enjoyed a superb year as the People's Club's midfield anchor, at last ending Odšahe Yakoko's claim to fame as the league's best defensive midfielder. His performance thrusts him into the starting eleven of the Kagdazka and Pazhujebu national team. Eight long years of disappointment have at last come to an end for the socialist-leaning FKM, as they have reprised their 5243 finish and won the second First Division in the club's history. Has the Federation's next great football dynasty begun?

No Trophies, But Terrors Still Happy With Runners-Up Plaque. Aquillius Razava's tear-jerking return to his broken hometown club resulted in more than just personal redemption: the apologetic captain surprisingly led his side to second place in the First Division and to the final of the Šenapatiam’ajat Vahavi. The season's end may taste slightly sour for the Black and Blue, as they could have won the title but for late-season cock-ups versus Urnabhi and Yastrabi, and should have won the Vahavi rather than disastrously collapse in the final (conceding goals in the 87th and 115th minutes after having led for most of the match), but all in all nobody predicted they'd even be close to the TQCC zone. Ultimately, Therakham indeed were able to secure a spot in the world's premier club tournament by torching Zhevassi two nil on the final matchday. Ouamchi Pudibhišu has strolled onto the national scene with his quality performances as a centre forward, scoring eighteen of Therakham's forty-six goals. He, like his much older comrade Razava, has been called up by Brutušam Erassi to play for the Urchins.

After Dominating League For 28 Weeks, Zhevassi Chokes. In control of their own destiny for the entirety of the year, and sporting the First Division's most impenetrable defense, Zhevassi ought to have unceremoniously slain their final two opponents of the season. However, it was not to be. Wandering into the tiny hippie-colony town of Yayal on the twenty-ninth matchday, the Blue and Orange expected to lay waste to the relegation-threatened minnows they were playing there, Iguani. Instead, their foes scored a goal in the second minute and then parked the bus in front of goal for ninety minutes. It wasn't pretty, but in the end Iguani managed to hang on for a full three points, tossing a stunned Zhevassi down the table. The event reeked of poetic justice, however; nobody has forgotten how the Galacticos used the exact same negative tactics to win the Vahavi final a season ago and it is hard to empathize with the behemoth club's cruel fate. Iguani's shock win, combined with a drubbing at the hands of Therakham a week later, flushed Zhevassi's TQCC dreams down the toilet. A Globe Cup place is no consolation at all.

Leaky Defense Costs Gypsies Repeat, But They Win Vahavi Instead. First Division holders Gimnasia were never tipped to defend their title by pundits, but fans still felt a tinge of sadness as they saw their teal-and-wisteria-clad side finish back in mid-table. The club's once terrifying defense was a shadow of its former self, shipping more goals than any other side in the top half of the table. (An injury to club captain and star goalkeeper Daniel Levantis was likely at fault.) But the Gypsies still proved to be determined and tough in clutch situations, and they scraped through tie after tie of the Šenapatiam’ajat Vahavi (felling Yastrabi, Vulkan, and FKM along the way) until they reached the final. Decisively outplayed for the better part of eighty-seven minutes, Gimnasia were lucky to only be trailing Therakham one nil. But they equalized three minutes from full time via a firecracker from Kkrhumoq Ztnkk and confidently went about their business in the extra period until Ratin Beenum dodged three Therakham defenders before side-footing the ball into the net and propelling his team into the Cygnus Cup.

Elsewhere in the News

Yastrabi still look good, as they maintained their stay in the top four, but clearly need to sharpen their killer instincts if they are to ever claim a trophy. Vulkan made a habit of beating the living hell out of the worst teams in the league, but were miserably inconsistent against everyone else, and probably deserve fifth. Angels obtained the First Division's sixth-best place once again, and while in previous eras fans might be getting agitated with that, overall they regard these consecutive finishes as successes, given the very young average age of the team. Chalia Sajid led her Red Elephants into eighth, and thusly into the Vahavi quarterfinals, a great accomplishment for her side (remember, Raktaghav Hathi were in the Second Division just two years ago). Alain Letetre's defensively-challenged Krevetka boringly finished ninth, Urnabhi stayed up for the ninth consecutive year by slotting into tenth, Juvapanam slumped way down the table by placing eleventh, and Iguani's miraculous win over Zhevassi ultimately secured twelfth and safety. Meanwhile, Ignacio Vélez is toast as Urajbina needed a stoppage time goal over local rivals Pu on the final matchday just to avoid the drop. Shadows were the victims of this late winner, finishing fourteenth and going down. Pu and Pkethat Hevnaje, meanwhile, were generally terrible and will also play in the Second Division next year. From that Second Division, three clubs that have already participated in the First Division will being coming back up. Boris Timriz's successful career as a manager continues as he led his boyhood club of Meteoriti past a pathetic all-Kagdaz group. Next year, his white-and-blue-clad side have bigger fish to fry, eager to show their more successful Gelendzhik neighbors Gimnasia and Vulkan that they are back with a vengeance. Swashbuckling Vezhidrupa appear to be the strongest side promoted this year after they massacred the all-Pazhujebi group in fluid, attacking style, something they didn't show the last time they participated in the First Division. Finally, indomitable Nekromanti emerged victorious from the mixed group to obtain promotion to the top flight for the third time in ten years.

Will Anyone Ever Reach the Red Stripes?

Everyone thought this was the time a new club would win the Duke League for its first time. That club was Pyramid AC. The Camels spent the better part of the second half of the league in the top spot on the tables, and, come matchday 31, they were 5 points ahead of Battle. But when you race against the 6 times Duke League champion, you cannot be far ahead enough. Battle eventually took the first place from Pyramid AC, and after an epic draw against Balance in the last matchday, the Red Stripes took the crown once again to the city of Battle.

With the Red Stripes' victory in the DL and in the International Cup this year, the club now is the owner of the following records:

- first club to win 7 Duke Leagues (2nd place Billiard has only 3)
- first and only club to win 2 DLs in a row (twice, in seasons VI-VII and IX-X)
- first and only club to win both the DL and the ZIC in the same year (twice, in seasons X and XVI)

We're wondering when will anyone break those records.

Even though Pyramid AC lost the crown in the end of the league, the club's second place was its best result so far, and their players and supporters are extremelly excited about their first ever qualification to the TQCC. Billiard, Classics and last year's champion Polar Zenith followed the top two clubs from an enormous 10 points distance and qualified for the Globe Cup.

In the bottom end of the table, joining the not surprising relegations of rookers Endoplasmatic Reticulum and ever comer-and-goers Union and Bloodthirsty Killers, is Goyoreh. Yes, the same Goyoreh that actually won the DL-XIV. When the fans thought the Crazies were finally ready to become a successful club and get some advantage against their rival Warriors... not today, fellas.

Meanwhile, next year's DL will feature usual DL participant Super, a couple of clubs that don't play the DL for a while, Brilliant and Sligdish, and debuting Imperial FC. On a side note, once important club Flame was relegated to the Count League. Big shame for the Oranges and yet another sign that Pyramid AC's endless rule in the nation of Pyramidland will not end soon.

So, before we begin with Lucky XIII, a few points of order.

WKW Returns
Avidia United's new manager is Warren Kennedy-Worthington, former Eagles and Krytenia midfielder late of Kagdazka and Pazhujebu. Kennedy-Worthington replaces Oriano Galledo, sacked after Avidia's pathetic surrendering of the title last season.

Swann Swans Off
Anthony Swann has divested his controlling stake in RCSC Northwood, selling to a consortium of local business owners and fan's group NISA. The club has renamed itself in the off-season, becoming AFC Linford, and has returned to the traditional civic colours of dark green and red; the club will, however, retain Northwood's records and UICA co-ëfficient. Swann also retains the rights to the Radyukevich CSC name, held in abeyance until such time as the CMSC returns.

Whale Of A Time
Starblaydi drinks company Orcinus have replaced Oak Air as league sponsors, with a contract for three seasons' sponsorhip until the end of Liga XV.

Welcome To The Big Leagues
The CLC have announces that the Liga and Segunda will expand to 24 teams for next season; this will result in a three-down, seven-up promotion and relegation betwen the top two divisions this season, whilst only the bottom two replaced in the Segunda, with the top six in each of the National Divisions being promoted. Though no word has been received as yet, this is expected to lead to the end of the Liga Tau and Liga Omega as National Division leagues.

At last, a Linford victory! They beat New Cefn 2-1 and rocket up to fourteenth position, leaving bottom side Cythera as the only winless team in the division, and dumping Albion into the drop zone as a result. Vecchio are just about keeping their heads above water down there, despite a 7-0 tonking at the hands of Emberton Reds.

At the business end of the table, meanwhile, Mercia's draw drops them to sixth, four points behind leaders Ousevale, whilst the Daii, Raiders, and Spirits all land convincing wins.

So the first over season of the KERFA Football League of Kernansquillec has finaly finished. Here's the results from the leagues, the cups and who's qualified for the international tournaments.

New Southampton took the Men's First Division title on goal differance ahead ok Louargat. They qualify for the Champions' Cup to decide who qualifies for the TQCC, but they are garenteed at least a spot in the Globe Cup. Louargat also qualify for the Globe cup after finishing second. Plounevez-Moedec finish bottom of the table winning only 3 games all season.

Rennes surprised everyone as they took the Women's First Division title ahead of Louargat who qualify for the Globe Cup. Despite the success of the men's team in the domestic cups Trégrom Ladies finished bottom of the table. St Marie struggled all season finished 4th despite being pre-season favorites.

The Capital Young Guns took the St Marcus Division title and qualify for the SBCC along with St Marie Youth Academy and The Libherr Youth Academy who finished second and third respectivly. Surprisingly New Southampton Youth Academy finished bottom of the League.

THE LEAGUE CUP

The Bye Bye Round saw a St Marie derby to kick start the League Cup. A fully packed Queen's Field with 150,000 fans wasn't enough to give the ladies the edge as they lost 1-0. Byes were given to Binic Men, Rennes Men, Trégrom Men, Belle-Isle-En-Terre Ladies, Kernansquillec City Ladies and Lorient Ladies.

The Round of 16 saw some upsets. Trégrom Men managed to win at Rennes Men while Belle-Isle-En-Terre Ladies beat Kernansquillec City Ladies 2-1. The big game was between New Southampton and Louargat's mens' teams promised to be a tight games. After both sides scored after 90 it went to penalties which saw a remarquable 9 penalties missed from 10 taken. Louargat won thanks Adam Lilac's sole penalty kick.

One of the best matches on display was Louargat's Ladies who took on Guingamp's Men. The home side were solid behind and were effective up front winning 2-0. Trégrom also kept up their noble performance winning on penalties against Guingamp's Ladies.

It was two great games for the semi-finals of the first KERFA League Cup. A Louargat derby which saw the men's team run out 2-0 winners. The other game saw Trégrom Men's good fortune in the competition come to an end in style as they got beaten 4-1 at home by Lorient Men.

Trégrom Men won the Third Place Play-off by a goal to nil against Louargat's Ladies. The National Park had sold out as Louargat hoped to claim two of the top 3 places in the Cup while Trégrom hoped to claim third place despite not being expected to make much of an impact on the competition.
The final was more boring than what could have been expected finished 0-0 after extra time. So it came down to 10 kicks from the spot. Lady Luck favored the underdogs as Lorient Men took the League Cup back home with them after winning 2 penalties to one. Thanks to the win they also qualify for the SBCC.

THE NATIONAL CUP

The First Round of the National Cup saw men's, women's and youth teams play each over. The New Southampton Youth Academy outperformed themselves against Belle-Isle-En-Terre Ladies forcing extra time after a goal a piece. But the Belle-Isloises dominated the 30 minutes of extra time scoring 3 goals. The only youth academy team to get past the opening round was The Capital Young Guns who beat the Louargat Youth Academy in an all St Marcus Division tie. Belle-Isle-En-Terre's men also pulled of a bit of an upset beating St Marie Men 2-1. Cavan Men almost pulled off a great result at The Dell forcing extra time against New Southampton Men but the League Champions to be scored in extra time to qualify. An all Louargat tie saw 7 goals as the Men's team edged the game 4-3 in front of a sell out crowd. That game would have been the highest scoring one of the round if New Southampton Ladies hadn't put 10 past The Libherr Youth Academy. Eleven goals were scored in that game of the very young Lirbherr team got some vital experiance which will help them in the futur.

St Marie Ladies edged out Guingamp Men as they won 3-2 in an entertaining game. New Southampton Men pulled out a stunning performance to beat rivals Louargat Men 6-1 in a complete demolition of the Verts. The Capital Young Guns's run couldn't go any further as they lost 4-0 to Rennes Men. And there was a Belle-Isle derby which saw the Men win 1-0 despite being dominated all game.

Every team scored at least one goal in this round. St Marie Ladies are the only female team to reach the semi-finals beating rivals New Southampton Ladies 4-3 in a great game. Kernansquillec City Men needed extra time to beat Rennes Ladies three goals to two.

New Southampton Men only just beat Lorient Men 3-2 AET thanks to a stunning long range effort Xarles Cressac. Kernansquillec City Men needed only a single goal to beat St Marie Ladies as they reached the final to face rivals New Southampton Men.

Lorient Men claimed third place as they scored in extra time. They finished on the podium in both the League and National Cup. St Marie Ladies fans may well have felt disapointed not to have won as they missed a penalty on the 72nd minute with the scores tied at one all.
The final wasn't exactly a classic but in the end favorites New Southampton Men won it thanks to a sole goal from Roseby.

The Capital Young Guns got just a single point with a 4-4 draw against Lorient Men in an outstanding performance.

New Southampton Men won the Champions' Cup and with it Kernansquillec's only spot for the TQCC. They won the game 2-1 against Rennes Ladies who had taken the lead but they just couldn't hold on to it. They still qualify for the Globe Cup.

So if your under 21s and some of your futur footballing stars want some first team football, cup experiance with senior teams with international players and a 50/50 chance of playing in the SBCC also just tag us. Please note The Libherr Youth Academy team is for players who are young even for youth academy level (12-17 years old in general) so they offer a load of posibilities for your players. As most of them are linked to a senior team your players may well get offered a contract by the senior team quicker than if they were left to play in the lowely ranks of your football leagues or freezing to death on the substitute bench.
