CSDF Ground Forces

Powered Battle Armor Suit


The CSDF Ground Forces utilize two Powered Battle Armor Suits for multi-purpose roles. The CPBA Mark I Powered Armor is commonly worn by pilots of vehicles, space craft and Destroid's. It is an entirely self-contained unit with its own regenerating oxygen supply and power source. Soldiers are the ground usually wear the CPBA Mark II Powered Armor due to its increased capability to withstand most lasers and hand-held fired projectiles. It is also a self-contained unit, but has a further capability to hold more supplies and comes in various configurations unlike the Mark I.

Battle Armor Purpose
The purpose of the Mark I Armor is to provide protection mainly for pilots and non-combat military personnel. It is not specifically designed to be used in direct combat, therefore it is not protected in the same way as the Mark II.

Battle Armor Capabilities
The Mark I Armor is completely self-contained, meaning that the individual can survive in most hostile environments. It has an internal recirculation system that recycles used air and mixes it with a fresh oxygen supply stored internally. The recirculation system requires some outside acceptable molecule source to continue to operate indefinitely. Without it, the system will continue to recycle the used air for up to a month before it requires a fresh supply of oxygen.

The Mark I's Pilot Helmet is linked to all units on the ground through an extensive virtual framework that is powered by the individuals suit, linking it to other suits so long as they have power. It has a HUD on the visor capable of displaying information about the environment and the location of friendly units. The Pilot Helmet's computer core has the capability to recognize natural and unnatural hazards, such as an enemy unit or dangerous environmental changes.

The Pilot Backpack is capable of holding a small amount of supplies and additional oxygen packs for longer duration. Since it is not specifically designed for combat, the Pilot Backpack lacks the needed space to store heavy weapons or military supplies.

The Type I Pilot Survival Kit is designed to ensure that if the individual is lost from contact they can survive for a short period of time. It comes standard with one-month's rations and water, standard medical kit, fold-up burner for cooking, fold-up cup for eating and drinking, survival knife that is similar to a hobo knife, fold-up shovel and various other standard supplies.

The Type I Battle Enhancement Unit is powered by the Trilithium Power Cell. It is a lighter version than what is built into the Mark II, therefore its effectiveness is somewhat diminished. It has the ability to temporarily enhance the wearers strength and stamina by powering the armor to assist with tasks such as lifting and/or combat. It furthers this ability by emitting a personal protoshield around the armor that protects the wearer from harm for a short period of time. It is usually activated when the Computer Core detects strenuous activity from the wearer or the wearer comes under threat. The drawbacks of activation is that is drains the Trilithium Power Cells charge life upon each activation.

The Type I Mag Boots are the standard use zero-G mag boots and are powered by the Power Cell.

The purpose of the Mark II Armor is to provide combat personnel with outstanding protection against laser and projectile-based weapons. Battle Armor Capabilities
Like the Mark I, the Mark II is completely self-contained. However the advantage it has over the Mark I is that it can last in harsher environments and withstand harsher conditions. It has more load capabilities for more storage of supplies needed for longer missions. If for any reason its Trilithium Power Cell were to fail, the suit is capable of solar regeneration for powering vital systems.

The Mark II Combat Backpack is designed with the soldier in mind. It can carry and hold various weapons, ammunition and other resources needed by the combat soldier. It has storage compartments located in easy-to-access locations so the backpack can stay on the wearer during combat. It carries four oxygen supply tanks standard.

The Type II Survival Pack comes with everything the Type I Survival Kit has, expect in larger quantities and better quality. The medical kit is a virtual survival kit on its own, holding advanced hypodermic needles of every imaginable sort for the wearer to use for either himself or a group of five. The survival gear includes a virtual camping set of foldaway items that fit within two compartments on the Combat Backback, including but not limited to a better burner for cooking and other various items for safely cleaning water for drinking. Should the wearer ever become distant from his comrades, the Survival Pack includes a communications set that can send code long distances into space and be relayed until the signal is detected or communications are established.

The Mark II Combat Helmet is the soldiers best friend. With the Mark II Computer Core, it literally can speak to the wearer and give advice concerning any situation. Every standard operation the Pilot Helmet can do is made better with the Combat Helmet, including the Heads Up Display with follows line of sight and can see behind the wearer using tiny optic cameras on the helmet. The battle link with the helmet tracks all units, whether friendly, enemy or neutral and keeps in constant contact with allied computer cores and unit computer systems to give the wearer a virtual map of the area he resides in. If no link is available, the computer will deploy a scouting drone in the combat backpack to allow the wearer optimum advanced warning of any hazard or possible location of friendly units.

The Type II Battle Enhancement Unit is more advanced and calibrated version of the Type I version. Unlike the Type I, the Type II is configured to activated either by wearer command or by Computer Core activation and can be shut off to preserve charge life of the Power Cell. To further the advancement in the Type II over the Type I, the weakness of draining charge life with each activation is corrected by the solar regeneration system built into the Power Armor. Each time it is activated, the Type II draws half and half from the Power Cell and solar regeneration system. Depending on the severity of need, it will either entirely draw from the Power Cell or do so as less as possible. When the period for activation is complete, the solar regeneration system will recharge the Trilithium Power Cell up to 80% of what charge was lost.

The Type II Battle Enhancement Unit comes with a more advanced and energy efficient personal protoshield that is capable of withstanding intense abuse before collapsing. The Type II also has a more effective strength enhancement system that when in use only activates to assist the wearer, instead of what the Type I system does to totally take the brunt of use. This enables the wearer to continue to use his or her own strength depending on the weight being lifted or strenuous task being undertaken. The system will constantly monitor vital signs via the more advanced Computer Core and dictate how much assistance is needed and if the system needs to fully assist the wearer.

The Type II Mag Boots are a more advanced version of the Type I. They have more grip potential and have the capability to act as thrusters with a repulse charged wave powered by the Power Cell for higher jumps. They activate either automatically via the advanced Computer Core or by command from the wearer.

In times of peace the Confederate Space Defense Force Ground Forces is obligated to ensuring civil order among the Confederacy's holdings and ensuring peaceful colonizations of uninhabited worlds. This responsibility extends to making peaceful first contact with alien civilizations and representing the CSDF with honor, dignity and purpose. During these times without war, the soldiers making up the Ground Forces can be found assisting in various humanitarian missions that extend the goodwill of the CSDF to both domestic entities and foreign civilizations. They are specifically tasked to cooperate with the CSDF Space Forces to combat piracy and criminal organizations to prevent fraud and other various crimes against CSDF Military Citizens.

In times of war the CDSF Ground Forces act as the first line of defense for colonies and is usually the first arm of the CSDF Military to be deployed to ensure a successful campaign. They act closely with the CSDF Space Forces and collaborate with the CSDF Special Forces when covert operations are in need of superior force backup. They are tasked with following strict protocol held sacred by the Constitution of the Confederate States and the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy during engagements. Only during extreme situations are these obligations to be lifted by order of the President or Chief General.

Main Ground Weapon - Destroids


The main ground weapon of the CSDF Ground Force is the Destroid. They are tall bi-pedal war machine capable of being deployed in various combat situations. They come in five varieties; The Destroid Spartan, the Destroid Warhammer, the Destroid Rifleman, the Destroid Marauder and the Destroid Hellspawn.

Unit Unique Features
The unit is equipped to the teeth with a devastating array of weapons systems perfect for long to medium range support. What it lacks for close-combat support it makes up with its quick recharge times and the ability to continue to fight even when its Fuel-Cell Canisters have been ejected. It is an excellent Forward Assault platform and is usually seen taking the brunt of assault while protecting critical units during such combat situations due to its extremely heavy armor.

CSDF Ground Forces

Armored Ground Support


For armored ground support, the CSDF Ground Force utilizes the M4GV1 Hover Tank. The M4GV1 is commonly deployed alongside the Destroid Warhammer, Spartan and Hellspawn in urban combat environments. It has the capability to act as a ground support unit for soldiers and transform like its Veritech counterparts into a similar Battloid mode and assist in a support role with Destroid units.

Unit Purpose
Primary purpose of the Unit is to provide ground forces in close-quarters environments with all the firepower of a Destroid but mixed with the capabilities of a Veritech Fighter. To this end the Unit is able to transform into three modes; Tank Mode (pictured above), Assault Mode(which enables the Unit to have a swiveling turret and use bi-pedal locomotion to its advantage) and Battloid Mode (which enables the Unit to not only utilize combat weapons similar to the Veritech Fighter and Destroid Spartan, but adds increased mobility). Secondary purpose is to provide heavy ground transport for troops when in Tank Mode for a squad of twelve soldiers with supplies.

Unit Unique Features
The unit is capable of traversing all types of land formations with no cost to speed or efficiency. It is sized down accordingly to be able to play a key role in both urban and close-quarters combat situations. The unit is capable of transporting twelve soldiers to any point on the battlefield with supplies and provide ample covering fire. The transport compartment is kept intact through both Tank and Guardian Modes, enabling the unit to provide the best possible defenses for its cargo of troops.

CSDF Ground Forces

Air Superiority


For air superiority the CSDF Ground Forces utilize two models of Veritechs. These two Veritech Units have the same capability as Destroids to engage threats on the ground, but have the unique capability to transform into an flight capable form and continue their engagement for enemy air assets. These units are the CVH-1A Attack Helicopter and the CVF-4AV Armored Veritech.

Unit Unique Features

Shuttles and Space Ships


The CDSF Ground Forces operate two types of space craft that are capable of deploying Destroid and Ground Veritech Units into hostile combat zones and acting as heavy aerial support. The CBSB-1A Blizzard is a redesigned Buran Space Shuttle that has been upgraded with heavy armor and weapons systems to act as the main transport and supply craft for the Ground Forces. The CGBS-4C Voyager-class Gun Boat is similarly capable of supply and transport roles, but is usually more heavily outfitted with weapons and other critical combat systems to act as heavy air and sub-orbital combat support.

Ship Features
The ship has the awesome capability to challenge enemy ships twice its size and still outmaneuver them in combat. It extends this capability with an advanced sensor suit that can follow ground forces, map terrain and target spots on a planet necessary for planetary bombardment. The array of EXS-LPT-1's has the capability to target, track and kill any incoming missile and sometimes projectiles. The huge cargo area can store two CBSB-1A Blizzard-class Battle Shuttle's of any configuration and still have reserve space for extra ground assets, resources, troops and supplies. The ship has average crew quarters and officers quarters with spartan bridge setup. It comes equipped with a tactical room that allows commanders to follow combat and order assets around behind the bridge. The ship can be configured into various roles ranging from light carrier to battlecruiser.

Ship Features
The ship has a huge cargo bay that be reconfigured to serve almost any purpose. The primary purpose of the cargo bay is to hold and deploy Destroid Units and other ground assets, storing them in various bays until deployed by a large ramp that extends aft of the ship. The forward nose of the craft is entirely committed to a spartan crew and officers quarters, galley, gym, bridge, communications room, medical room and storage. Everything aft of the bridge can be modified to fit the needs of a desired mission. The landing gear is assisted by thrusters powered by the SLD-1 Shuttle Drive. Without these, the ship would be unable to land without damage.

CSDF Marine Corps

The Confederate Space Defense Force Marine Corps has the obligation to act as security on board space ships and on the ground at bases. They are usually the first to go into a combat zone and the last the leave. What makes the CSDF Marine Corps special is that they are assigned only from the Confederate States Marine Corps, unlike the Ground Forces which are either new recruits or assigned from the Confederate States Military. This means that the CSDF Marine Corps is in a constant state of rotation providing both fresh perspectives in the field and experienced Marines who continue to be combat certified.

The CSDF Marine Corps operates mainly with standard non-Veritech assets. When the CSDF Ground Forces experience trouble on the field, the Marine Corps is usually called in to provide assistance and expert knowledge concerning a situation. The CSDF Marine Corps is granted a small contingent of ships so as to not completely rely on the CSDF Space Forces for transportation and combat support.

The CSDF Marine Corps is typically independent from the restrictions placed on every other branch. They are still obligated to follow the protocols issued in the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy and the Constitution of the Confederate States, but when a situation calls for other methods that may potentially violate these obligations they are granted a special reprieve so long as all other options have been attempted. This reprieve is to be enacted only by Chief General Nemesis who would later approach the President and Chief General of the Confederate States with a after-action report.

Main Ground Weapon Platforms


The Main Ground Weapon Platforms of the CSDF Marine Corps varies between heavy tanks and lighter transportation vehicles. These mechanized units are derived from advancements in military applications provided by reversed-engineering Cybertronian technology. They are all modified in some way by mechanized units currently being used by the Confederate States Military and have the advantage of being completely air tight for ground battles where no atmosphere is present.

CSDF Marine Corps

Battle Walkers


Where the CSDF Ground Forces utilize Destroid units, the CSDF Marine Corps instead rely on Battle Walkers. These units are not designed to dominate the battlefield like their Destroid cousins. Instead, they provide support for forces on the ground and act as heavy weapons support for engagements. They are always supported by tank and mobile repair units and are rarely, if ever, seen alone. The CSDF Marine Corps utilize two types of Battle Walkers. The W1B1 Hellstorm and the W2B1 Firestorm.

The CSDF Marine Corps uses fighters, bombers and armed transports to utilize the best tactical and strategic advantages on the battlefield. These units are not only capable of atmospheric flight but also of space flight. What they lack in armor they easily make up for in speed, firepower and capability. There are three distinct units that are used by the CSDF Marine Corps. The unit has two modes. In the first mode it uses both boosters and gyrocopter engines that are deployed from its side-mounted pods for atmospheric flight. In this mode it has the capability to hover at will. In fighter mode, it retracts the gyrocopters into its side-mounted pods and engages its boosters on full strength to engage in both space and atmospheric dog-fighting maneuvers. It has the capability to hold four Marines in its belly for transport.

Like the UFMC F/A-10SG, the unit has two modes. For space, the two dominate gyrorotors close up and the main booster engines take over. For atmospheric flight, the gyrorotors are deployed with some assistance from the boosters. The weapons load mount also serves as the transport area for Marines. It can hold up to twelve Marines with supplies. Additionally the unit can haul loads via a tow line.

Unit Unique Features
The unit is unique in that it has compartments like a space ship, but it doesn't have a hyperdrive. Therefore it is not considered a true "space ship". It does, however, provide ample room for transporting ground assets to battle zones while providing a large area of protection around the drop zone. Additionally if it were to ever be left alone in a battle zone, it would act as fire support and command and control for troops on the ground. It's four primary engines attached onto each of one of the four wings can swivel to allow a safe landing and take off. If ever one or all engines were to fail, back up boosters would be used powered by the primary engines for emergency take off to receive repairs.

In a final twist of capability, the unit can initiate a "quick drop" of its Cargo/Transport Pod by landing quickly and detaching couplings and closing airlocks, thereafter quickly regaining altitude to engage enemy targets. Once the area is secure or the operation is complete, the unit would come back to retrieve the pod.

The CSDF Marine Corps operates its own fleet of space ships to enable extended reach of its effectiveness and decrease dependency on the other military branches. While the fleet numbers less than the other branches, it makes up for this by granting its ship commanders full authority in combat and non-combat mission zones. This means that while a task is directed for the commanders to follow, they can go about the mission in the most efficient and effective manner possible. A consequence of this is that the CSDF Marine Corps becomes the exploration arm of the CSDF Military and is usually the first to scout out possible colonization zones on alien worlds.

The CSDF Marine Corps operates two types of space craft. The MCSS Dauntless-class Battlecruiser and the MCSS Alaska-class Command Cruiser.

Ship Features
The ship has the capability to act as mothership for ground forces and an orbital bombardment platform. It continues this capability by acting as light carrier during fleet engagements. The ship has the ability to land on the surface of both planets and planetoids and act as a base of operations. The entire rear-middle aft half of the ship is dedicated to storing ground units and forces while the two dorsal engine pods are dedicated to air units. All of the ships internal compartments are considered spartan by standard and have little luxury.

CSDF Marine Corps

Powered Battle Armor Suit


The CSDF Marine Corps utilize the CPBA Mark III Powered Armor as the standard issued powered armor on the battlefield. It fills various roles, from pilots of aircraft and mechanized vehicles to Marines on the ground. It is highly specialized to fit the needs of the Marine Corps and is made to endure the harshest of conditions while being easy to maintain by the wearer. It comes standard with a personal AI Core that is specially chosen for each individual wearer and assists in all tasks from the most complex to the simplest. It is also designed so that a Marine can engage an enemy in a zero-atmosphere environment, adding another critical advantage over the previous battle armor versions.

Battle Armor Capabilities
The Mark III is the first Battle Powered Armor to be equipped with an integrated blaster weapon system. This system is made up of the EXDC-17s Side Arm Blaster Pistol and the EXDC-17m Interchangeable Weapons System. The advantage here is that both weapons can recharge their internal blaster batteries off of the suits Mark III Trilithium Dual Power Cell once they loose charge. The drawback is that the recharge will drain the Dual Power Cell slightly, but can be regained thanks to the Type I CPBA MC Power Regeneration Unit as it draws energy from any possible source outside the suit, including solar and electrical.

The Mark III comes with a more advanced Battle Enhancement Unit, the Type III, that has the advantage of being both commanded into action by the wearer and activated by the specialized AI Computer Core unique to each individual powered armor. While during activation it will drain the battery life of the Dual Power Cell, like the experimental blasters it can be recharged back to fill strength by the Power Regeneration Unit.

The Mark III is space capable as well as ground capable. This means that the wearer can safely combat enemy threats in a zero-atmospheric environment for long durations thanks to the additional oxygen storage units inside the Combat Backback. Unlike previous models, the Type III Recirculation System can recycle up to 90% of the wearers used air and regenerate it through a complicated process that includes the Power Regeneration System as a filter. Meaning that the wearer can last one week in a zero-atmospheric environment before needing a fresh oxygen supply recharge.

The Mark III Combat Helmet includes a specialized AI Computer Core that is personalized by and for the wearer. The AI Core cooperates with the wearer to ensure optimum survival chances and acts independently during certain situations to assist the wearer. It gives tactical advice to the wearer during combat when needed and provides life-saving treatment to the wearer if injury or unconsciousness occurs. In extreme situations, the AI Core can operate the suit independently should the wearer be unable to continue to get the wearer to safety for either treatment or recovery. Furthering the use of the AI Core, the Combat Helmets HUD system is more advanced than previous models and shows every possible data configuration to ensure the wearer has the best possible chances of making critical decisions during battle with successful results. Each AI Core unit is in close contact with the other, ensuring all units are at all times aware of where the other is or assists during recovery operations.

The Type III Combat Backback is specialized for the Marine Corps. It can be configured for various roles and holds more than previous models. It can be adapted for almost any situation and acts as the lifesaving tool during emergency situations.

The Type III Survival Pack is specialized for the Marine Corps. It includes more advanced versions of the items included in previous models in a more compact state. This means that the Pack can hold considerably more and enable the wearer the best possible chances of survival with additional medical and foodstuff supplies. It also comes equipped with a filter for liquid water filtration that uses the Power Regeneration System to assist in ensuring that the water is perfect for wearer consumption and provides the most benefit for the wearer.

The Type III Mag Boots are a highly advanced update to previous models. It enables the wearer longer jumps, tighter grips on metal surfaces and can even act as a grip for slippery non-metal surfaces. The extra boost provided for emergency leaps is greater than previous models and the Mag Boots also act as cushions for long falls.

The Type I Wrist-mounted Combat ElectroBlade is a special modification that is activated by the wearer or the AI Core during close combat situations. It is a blade that comes out from the wrist pad of the powered armor to enable the wearer to inflict greater damage. It has the capability to be disengaged from its wrist-mount and be used as a normal blade.

The CSDF Space Forces operates most of the time under the mission of peaceful exploration and policing CSDF holdings in space. One of the most critical roles is adopted from the Confederate Navy, that of protecting merchant trade from pirates and/or enemy threats. When possible, the Space Forces will occasionally undertake missions that better the image of the CSDF such as first contact situations with alien civilizations and humanitarian missions to other worlds. When operating without any primary objectives, ship commanders will occasionally act independently and explore star systems for possible colonization.

In times of war the CSDF Space Forces organize into a coherent defense for all CSDF holdings. They are the first to appear and last to leave in space combat. They assist all other branches in ground invasions and ensure the space superiority is maintained. If they should engage an enemy that challenges their ability to ensure such superiority, they undertake hit and run tactics to draw enemy fire away from the main invasions force until such a time as other branches ship assets can join in the fray.

Being a Space Naval Force, the CSDF Space Forces operates only space ships and fighter spacecraft. These include that of a Flagship Class Space ship, Battleship, Heavy Cruiser, Destroyer, Frigate and Scout Exploration Ship. Fighter spacecraft range from Space Superiority Fighters, AWAC Space Units and others.

CSDF Space Force Flagship Class Ships


The primary flagship of the Confederate Space Defense Force Space Forces is the Confederate Super Dimensional Fortress. It began construction in response to Cybertronian Technology discovered by the remains of a Decepticon called Fuelmaker, who later went on to become a hero in Anagonia. Most of the advanced technology discovered in these findings was reversed-engineered over the seven years it took to construct the first ship, the CSDF-01 Excalibur. Two years later the second and third ships, the Pioneer and Pegasus were completed on schedule. Three more ships continue to be under construction.

The ship features an awesome array of weapons perfect for both ship-to-ship and ship-to-ground combat. It has the capability for both space and air flight while maintaining sea and undersea capabilities. The ship has the capability to transform from its basic Battlefortress mode (shown above) to a Combat Mode that enables far more weapon capabilities and free use of the Super-Dimensional Particle Cannon. It includes two docked space carrier platforms that act as storage for space fighters and ground assets and as escape vessels should the host ship be too damaged. The ship has the capability to mine and process resources to construct new units and repair any ship, aircraft or asset. Unlike most space ships in the CSDF, the compartments are luxurious by standard and provide ample room for privacy and entertainment.

CSDF Space Forces

Battlecarriers


The CSDF Space Forces utilizes the SFBC Yorktown-class Battlecarrier as its primary carrier ship for the fleet. While the need for a primary carrier is negated by the fact most ships already have a fighter contingent, the Yorktown-class makes up for this by serving in a multi-purpose role. In fleet combat situations where there is no battleship present, the Yorktown-class can easily fill the role and continue its carrier-based functions. When the fleet battle is too intense, it can draw back and act as a command and control vessel for all fighter aircraft in the battle zone. During planetary invasions, the Yorktown-class is capable of either maintaining orbit or entering the atmosphere of planets to better provide assets for ground forces.

CSDF Space Forces

Battleships


The Battleships of the CSDF Space Forces come in three types. The first type is a refitting of an already existing naval battleship design currently in use by the Confederate Navy. When engineers discovered a large amount of Iowa-class Battleships in the Naval Reserve, they naturally went to work on implementing them for use in space. The result was an extensive program to refit and remake these battleships for use in space. The program lasted for four years, having successfully reconstructing seven Iowa-class Battleships, but eventually costs became a factor and the program was put on a permanent halt. The end result was designated the SFBB-01 Iowa-class Star Battleship after the naval design it was constructed from.

The second type of battleship currently in service by the CSDF Space Forces take an entirely different approach than the first type did. Instead of refitting naval battleships for use in space, the CSDF constructed their own on the ground. The program began with many difficulties, including several drawbacks that delayed the initial construction process several months. Eventually within two years three battleships were constructed. Once again due to costs the program was put on permanent halt, this time pending a review. The end result was designated the SFBBF-02 Bismarck-class Fast Star Battleship for its heavy armament and fast speed.

Ship Features
The ship features a lighter armor than its predecessor but makes up for it with its high array of weapons platforms. The last type of battleship is now the standard battleship class of the CSDF Space Forces. The construction process for the design was entirely changed from the previous two attempts with great success. Now instead of years, the CSDF can produce a Battleship within a few months to one year and at lower costs. It was a great success for standardizing space ship construction and the process used would go on to assist other construction projects through out the CSDF. The end result was designated the SFBBMP-03 Excelsior-class Mass Produced Star Battleship.

CSDF Space Forces

Heavy Cruisers


Presently there is only one type of Cruiser deployed by the CSDF Space Forces. The SFCH-01 Aries-class Heavy Star Cruiser started out as a remodeling of the CG-47 Ticonderoga Class currently in use by the Confederate Navy. However when the drawbacks of the Iowa-class reconstruction program became clear, designers took a different route and came forward with a unique platform perfect for a frontal assault ship. What was a birthed was a ship that was not only capable of landing on planets and sailing in oceans, but one that facilitated the need for a carrier protection platform. Since the Aries-class is built for a fleet support role, it does not carry a huge amount of fighters or land assets.

Space Fighter Platforms


The CSDF Space Forces use three types of space fighter platforms. The standard and mass produced model is the CVF-1 Valkyrie-class Veritech Fighter. It can directly trace its routes back to the beginning of reverse-engineering cybertronian technology from Fuelmaker. It is transformable and capable of filling a variety of combat roles. The designs for the Veritech were handed down personally by Oscar Valdinchi upon finding Fuelmaker's then-deactivated corpse from a famous science fiction program years before. It was then found to be possible to be constructed and thus the Veritech Program began and was, two years later, completed.

Unit Unique Features

The second type of space fighter platform is the less-used, but equally mass produced model CSF-1 Raptor-class Confederate Star Fighter. Unlike the Veritech, it is not capable of any forms of transformation. However it makes up for it with its ability to be operated in almost any combat situation and act as ground support and fleet support during combat situations. The designs for the CSF were copied from various currently in-use aircraft by the Confederate Air Force.

The last type of space fighter platform only preforms in combat situations if it is drawn into them. Primarily, the CRFC-1 Hawkeye Space Reconnaissance Fighter operates away from the battle and out of harms way. Designers noted that at any moment, the Hawkeye could be drawn into combat situations and implemented a small armament of the platform for primarily defensive purposes. The reconnaissance equipment on the Hawkeye matches that of capital ship sensor arrays and extends the viewing range of fleet sensors significantly when deployed.

CSDF Space Forces

Powered Battle Armor Suit


The CSDF Space Forces utilizes the Mark I and II CPBA Powered Armor. All crews and pilots on ship are assigned a personal Mark I Powered Armor that is worn standard during all on-duty hours. It is the official Battle Dress Uniform of the Space Forces and is only coded with the wearers rank designation on shoulder pads with name on chestplate. Crews assigned for security and defense of the ships, with the exception of Marine detachments which utilized the Mark III Powered Battle Armor, wear the Mark II Powered Armor. Commanding Officers have a choice between either Mark I or Mark II, but standard protocol usually enforces the use of the Mark I.

Battle Armor Capabilities
The Mark I Armor is completely self-contained, meaning that the individual can survive in most hostile environments. It has an internal recirculation system that recycles used air and mixes it with a fresh oxygen supply stored internally. The recirculation system requires some outside acceptable molecule source to continue to operate indefinitely. Without it, the system will continue to recycle the used air for up to a month before it requires a fresh supply of oxygen.

The Mark I's Pilot Helmet is linked to all units on the ground through an extensive virtual framework that is powered by the individuals suit, linking it to other suits so long as they have power. It has a HUD on the visor capable of displaying information about the environment and the location of friendly units. The Pilot Helmet's computer core has the capability to recognize natural and unnatural hazards, such as an enemy unit or dangerous environmental changes.

The Pilot Backpack is capable of holding a small amount of supplies and additional oxygen packs for longer duration. Since it is not specifically designed for combat, the Pilot Backpack lacks the needed space to store heavy weapons or military supplies.

The Type I Pilot Survival Kit is designed to ensure that if the individual is lost from contact they can survive for a short period of time. It comes standard with one-month's rations and water, standard medical kit, fold-up burner for cooking, fold-up cup for eating and drinking, survival knife that is similar to a hobo knife, fold-up shovel and various other standard supplies.

The Type I Battle Enhancement Unit is powered by the Trilithium Power Cell. It is a lighter version than what is built into the Mark II, therefore its effectiveness is somewhat diminished. It has the ability to temporarily enhance the wearers strength and stamina by powering the armor to assist with tasks such as lifting and/or combat. It furthers this ability by emitting a personal protoshield around the armor that protects the wearer from harm for a short period of time. It is usually activated when the Computer Core detects strenuous activity from the wearer or the wearer comes under threat. The drawbacks of activation is that is drains the Trilithium Power Cells charge life upon each activation.

The Type I Mag Boots are the standard use zero-G mag boots and are powered by the Power Cell.

Battle Armor Capabilities
Like the Mark I, the Mark II is completely self-contained. However the advantage it has over the Mark I is that it can last in harsher environments and withstand harsher conditions. It has more load capabilities for more storage of supplies needed for longer missions. If for any reason its Trilithium Power Cell were to fail, the suit is capable of solar regeneration for powering vital systems.

The Mark II Combat Backpack is designed with the soldier in mind. It can carry and hold various weapons, ammunition and other resources needed by the combat soldier. It has storage compartments located in easy-to-access locations so the backpack can stay on the wearer during combat. It carries four oxygen supply tanks standard.

The Type II Survival Pack comes with everything the Type I Survival Kit has, expect in larger quantities and better quality. The medical kit is a virtual survival kit on its own, holding advanced hypodermic needles of every imaginable sort for the wearer to use for either himself or a group of five. The survival gear includes a virtual camping set of foldaway items that fit within two compartments on the Combat Backback, including but not limited to a better burner for cooking and other various items for safely cleaning water for drinking. Should the wearer ever become distant from his comrades, the Survival Pack includes a communications set that can send code long distances into space and be relayed until the signal is detected or communications are established.

The Mark II Combat Helmet is the soldiers best friend. With the Mark II Computer Core, it literally can speak to the wearer and give advice concerning any situation. Every standard operation the Pilot Helmet can do is made better with the Combat Helmet, including the Heads Up Display with follows line of sight and can see behind the wearer using tiny optic cameras on the helmet. The battle link with the helmet tracks all units, whether friendly, enemy or neutral and keeps in constant contact with allied computer cores and unit computer systems to give the wearer a virtual map of the area he resides in. If no link is available, the computer will deploy a scouting drone in the combat backpack to allow the wearer optimum advanced warning of any hazard or possible location of friendly units.

The Type II Battle Enhancement Unit is more advanced and calibrated version of the Type I version. Unlike the Type I, the Type II is configured to activated either by wearer command or by Computer Core activation and can be shut off to preserve charge life of the Power Cell. To further the advancement in the Type II over the Type I, the weakness of draining charge life with each activation is corrected by the solar regeneration system built into the Power Armor. Each time it is activated, the Type II draws half and half from the Power Cell and solar regeneration system. Depending on the severity of need, it will either entirely draw from the Power Cell or do so as less as possible. When the period for activation is complete, the solar regeneration system will recharge the Trilithium Power Cell up to 80% of what charge was lost.

The Type II Battle Enhancement Unit comes with a more advanced and energy efficient personal protoshield that is capable of withstanding intense abuse before collapsing. The Type II also has a more effective strength enhancement system that when in use only activates to assist the wearer, instead of what the Type I system does to totally take the brunt of use. This enables the wearer to continue to use his or her own strength depending on the weight being lifted or strenuous task being undertaken. The system will constantly monitor vital signs via the more advanced Computer Core and dictate how much assistance is needed and if the system needs to fully assist the wearer.

The Type II Mag Boots are a more advanced version of the Type I. They have more grip potential and have the capability to act as thrusters with a repulse charged wave powered by the Power Cell for higher jumps. They activate either automatically via the advanced Computer Core or by command from the wearer.

Standard Operation Principles of the Confederate Space Defense Force

PREAMBLE


The Confederate Space Defense Force, hereafter referred to as CSDF in this document, shall be set into a series of Standard Operation Principles that shall set into law the guiding principles of any military, civilian or therein entity proclaiming allegiance and/or duty to the CSDF. That at no time shall any Commanding Officer, hereafter referred to as CO in this document, of any quality seek to break these guiding principles without extreme disciplinary action by the powers that police the CSDF. That therefore no entity residing within or operating within the CSDF shall seek to willingly or knowingly break these guiding principles without extreme disciplinary action by the powers that police the CSDF. That therefore these guiding principles shall set a standard of professionalism, discipline, doctrine and law through the entirety of the CSDF and at no point contradict the founding laws set forth by the Confederate States of Anagonia within the Constitution of the Confederate States and the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy and thereafter any such document pertaining to law.

Principle I - Military Authority


It shall henceforth be recognized that the CSDF is policed, commanded and controlled by the Military of the Confederate States of Anagonia. That therefore the Military shall abide by the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy and in no manner endanger or willingly break the founding laws set within the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy. That therefore all authority for command and control procedures shall be utilized to a moderated extent by the CO's of each branch of the CSDF henceforth recognized as the CSDF Space Forces, CSDF Marine Corps and Special Forces and the CSDF Special Forces. That therefore this authority shall extend to properly engaging in diplomatic affairs with other known and/or unknown civilizations and cultures and peoples and entities with full compliance by the standards and laws set henceforth by the Constitution of the Confederate States and the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy.

Principle II - Chain of Command


That therefore full command authority of the CSDF be granted unto the COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE CSDF with secondary command authority granted unto the VICE-COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE CSDF. That all authority over all operations and procedures and missions and thereafter any action or policy set by or thereafter within the CSDF shall be without objection nor contradiction be granted unto the PRESIDENT OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF ANAGONIA or thereafter any RIGHTFULLY ELECTED LEADER of the civilization of Anagonia. That an authority granted by proper council shall be granted unto the leadership of each individual military and civilian branch within the CSDF. That therefore this CSDF COUNCIL shall contain the military authority granted unto the CHIEF OF THE CSDF GROUND FORCES, CHIEF OF THE CSDF MARINE CORPS AND SPECIAL FORCES, CHIEF OF THE CSDF SPACE FORCES and the civilian authority granted unto the CHIEF OF CSDF COLONIZATION AFFAIRS and the CHIEF OF CSDF MINING AFFAIRS. That henceforth this CSDF COUNCIL shall act as a proper congress of officials that shall, with full respect to the CSDF CHAIN OF COMMAND, engage in proper congressional meetings that shall pertain to the policies and standards and actions and missions of the CSDF and shall be reviewed and judged according to the standards and laws of Anagonia by the COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE CSDF. That therefore full authority shall be granted at any time over the entire CSDF by the PRESIDENT OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF ANAGONIA or thereafter any RIGHTFULLY ELECTED LEADER of the civilization of Anagonia.

Principle III - Civilian Compliance


Understanding that the founding documents held sacred by the Civilization of Anagonia protect the rights and liberties of all citizens of Anagonia, with note that these founding documents grant these rights and liberties to all citizens, with knowledge that the civilians are thereafter protected by the Military of Anagonia, with respect to the Constitution of the Confederate States and the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy, that therefore at no time shall any civilian residing and/or operating within the CSDF shall undertake any decision or purpose or protocol that shall endanger the MILITARY AUTHORITY of the CSDF granted by PRINCIPLE I - MILITARY AUTHORITY within these STANDARD OPERATING PRINCIPLES OF THE CONFEDERATE SPACE DEFENSE FORCE. That therefore if the MILITARY wrongfully limits the rights and liberties of the civilians residing and/or operating within the CSDF that the MILITARY POLICE of the CONFEDERATE STATES of ANAGONIA shall, with full authority granted by the founding documents and laws of Anagonia, resolve any disputes and/or wrongdoings so that the MILITARY may be in compliance with the rights and liberties granted unto any civilian.

Principle IV - Commanding Officer Authority


Henceforth shall any CO of any ship and/or vessel and/or branch operating and/or residing within the CSDF shall be granted full authority to conduct missions of representation of the CSDF. That therefore these missions, known to be critical to expanding the influence and goodwill of the CSDF, shall be conducted in a professional and disciplined manner following in full compliance with the founding documents of Anagonia. That therefore it shall not be the right of any CO, regardless of situation, to engage in missions that shall violate the continuity of the CSDF and civilization of Anagonia. That therefore no CO shall seek to willingly or knowingly break these guiding principles without extreme disciplinary action by the powers that police the CSDF.

Principle V - Powers that Police the CSDF


With respect to the Constitution of the Confederate States, with respect to the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy, with knowledge that the MILITARY POLICE are the rightful civil protection entity of the civilization of Anagonia, shall it thereby be noted that the POWERS THAT POLICE THE CSDF are rightfully the MILITARY POLICE. That therefore any action and/or disciplinary proceeding and/or procedure shall thereby be rightfully conducted according and with compliance to the rights and laws granted unto the MILITARY POLICE. That henceforth if at any time the MILITARY POLICE are unable to properly accomplish their mission as the POWERS THAT POLICE THE CSDF shall it fall unto the CO's of the CSDF to properly and with full compliance to all laws and regulations deliver disciplinary action according to the severity of any law and/or regulation broken by any individual or entity operating within the CSDF. That thereafter shall it be the responsibility of the MILITARY POLICE to conduct a full review of any CO who delivers and properly accomplishes the disciplinary action up to and with full authority to retract any given disciplinary action.

Principle VI - Prime Directive


With understanding that the CSDF might engage in relations with civilizations that are not as advanced in technological and/or cultural capability and/or terms as the CSDF that it shall be the PRIME DIRECTIVE of the CSDF to not willingly compromise the engaged civilization by introducing foreign concepts and/or technology that can and/or will harm the natural evolution and progression of said engaged civilization. That therefore this PRIME DIRECTIVE shall be retracted should an OP be in a situation that permits the introductions of aforementioned concepts and technology should it benefit the outcome of any situation and/or mission involving said engaged civilization. That thereby if this PRIME DIRECTIVE is therefore retracted should a full review be conducted by the COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE CSDF and the MILITARY POLICE and the PRESIDENT of the CONFEDERATE STATES OF ANAGONIA and/or thereafter any RIGHTFULLY ELECTED LEADER of the CIVILIZATION OF ANAGONIA.

Principle VII - Two World Doctrine


With knowledge that the CONFEDERATE STATES OF ANAGONIA and/or thereafter any civilization of Anagonia has been restricted to be involved in any way, shape and/or form with the capabilities and technology of the CSDF, with understanding that this knowledge only extends to the military applications in use by the CSDF, with respect to the defense of the CONFEDERATE STATES OF ANAGONIA and/or thereafter any civilization of Anagonia shall it henceforth be placed into Principle that the CSDF shall at no time interfere with the wars, diplomacy and/or actions of the CONFEDERATE STATES OF ANAGONIA and/or thereafter any civilization of Anagonia. That therefore, under this TWO WORLD DOCTRINE, shall it be stated clearly and without dispute that the CSDF shall only engage in actions and/or missions that are of a non-involvement manner. That therefore it shall be, without question and/or dispute, the capability of the MILITARY to rotate all personnel of any given branch of military service with the branches of the CSDF. That thereby any breach of this TWO WORLD DOCTRINE shall be seen as a violation of the founding documents held sacred by the civilization of Anagonia.

Principle VIII - Natural Evolution of the Confederate Space Defense Force


That these Standard Operation Principles of the Confederate Space Defense Force be capable of being modified will full unanimous vote of the CSDF COUNCIL and the CHAIN OF COMMAND. That thereby should these Standard Operation Principles of the Confederate Space Defense Force be in full compliance with any change of policy and/or name and/or purpose of the CSDF and thereafter any entity evolving from the CSDF.

Principle IX - Diplomacy and War


With respect to all Principles within these Standard Operation Principles of the Confederate Space Defense Force, with knowledge that diplomacy is critical to resolving disputes and engaging in proper goodwill with other civilizations, recognizing the CSDF as a separate entity of the Confederate States of Anagonia, with knowledge that war or any declaration pertaining to it is harmful to the continuity of the civilization of Anagonia, shall it therefore be granted unto the CO's and CHAIN OF COMMAND of the CSDF the responsibility to judge and determine the proper response to any given situation pertaining to the safety and/or continuity of the civilization of Anagonia. That thereby shall this determined response be undertaken with sound judgment and full compliance with the founding documents held sacred by the civilization of Anagonia, that always shall the CSDF seek a peaceful outcome to any situation it encounters, that therefore any declaration of war be approved by the proper CHAIN OF COMMAND, that henceforth any relation and/or document pertaining to any relation with any civilization be undertaken with sound judgment and full compliance with the founding documents held sacred by the civilization of Anagonia.

The S/A AdkM75 was designed by Strovaria-Aldkhaznywrengh Armaments specifically for use by the Confederate Marine Corps. The combination of unique alloys and the structure of the weapon make it capable of withstanding the harshest of environments, perfect for any Marine in the field. It fires the standard 7.62 NATO round currently in use by Anagonian forces. The weapon itself is semi-automatic and capable of extremely accurate shots up to five hundred yards. A single clip holds twenty(20) rounds and comes standard with four clips per rifle. It comes with the optional Tactical Sight Optics that can be utilized when encountering long range forces or for more accurate shots.

The S/A AdkM75 is easily maintained. The rifle comes a part in three sections taking a total of a minute to complete. For the standard Marine to maintain the weapon, they would first detach the butt using a provided allen wrench inside the butt. They would then unscrew the barrel from the frame and from there easily detach the parts that make up the firing mechanism and other relevant parts. From there, tests have shown that proper cleaning takes up to two minutes followed by an additional minute to put the weapon back together. In total, a standard operator should only have to spend four minutes to properly maintain the S/A AdkM75.

The "S/A" Stands for Strovaria-Aldkhaznywrengh. The "A" stands for Anagoniakhornii, translated as Anagonian. The "dk" stands for Damkhril Kogr, translated as "small arm". The "M" stands for Mrenkhenr, translated as "rifle". 75 is the designation number given by the manufacturer.

Introduction


With the passing of Grand Senate Order 77 to the Confederate Military, the armies of the Confederacy began to reorganize into a more coherent and efficient fighting force. The war with the Federal Republic of the United World Order taught Anagonia that its previous Order of Battle, which encompassed mainly allotting asset and troops by count to commanders, was effectively useless against modern battle tactics. The Commanders on the Ground, while utilizing the tactical and strategic advantages of asset allocation, found themselves lacking when facing off against a superior force of guerrilla soldiers. It was then prevalent to amass a new program of asset allocation that would include not only newer generations of war machines, but organized Armies that were not restricted by numbers and available force allocation.

History


The First Army of the Confederacy was formed before the founding of the Confederate States as a coherent government entity. Founded by Oscar Vladinchi, the First Army rode with the past Chief General to reunite a broken and shattered Anagonia. It survives today as one of the most prestigious armies to serve in the Confederacy. The First Army is usually the first to be called into active service and the last to be brought into peace. Without the help of the First Army it is highly unlikely that the Confederate States of Anagonia would exist today.

The insignia of the First Army is also the National Seal of the Confederacy.
