Regrettably, we typically have to go with what we can actually see; since nothing of the allegedly offensive post survives, there's not much we can do.

We do, however, have means of addressing nations who make a persistent habit of posting offensive comments and then editing them out before action can be taken (so long as some form of proof exists, or a moderator can observe it taking place). So if this behaviour persists, feel free to draw our attention towards it.

He also seems to be implicitly advocating genocide here when he says

In context, he seems to be saying that the only way to solve the problem is to get rid of non-whites. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it, though.

I don't want to have to lock this thread, so let's be absolutely clear:

If you are not:

1) Bringing up a matter of concern with Moderation
2) Reporting a rules violation
3) Linking to a relevant rule or relevant post
4) Answering a report about yourself

do NOT post in moderation. We've gotten many, many, "in my opinion" posts and downright wrong non-mod rulings and they are just NOT HELPFUL.

We're going to start banning folks who can't just stay out unless they have something useful to say.

Huh? In context, another guy had said that we shouldn't be making stances on gay marriage because we aren't gay.

He replied by saying that there are "massive problems with that line of thought" because following it, we shouldn't make stances on rapists, serial killers, etc.

I don't see the fuss.

Apologies for taking so long to deal with this, but extensive consultation within the Mod team was necessary - and given how scattered around the world we are, this couldn't be done quickly.


Keronians, your point wasn't inherently spamming. It raised an important issue that was in fact considered by the moderation team, and is explicitly mentioned in my ruling. However, the attempt to remove the post and the extensive past record of trolling across three nations strongly suggested malign intent, hence the sanctions taken.
