Region Tags!

One of the oldest problems with NationStates is the difficulty of find regions that interest you. So, after slaving away over a hot CPU for many hours, I'm proud to present Region Tags!

They are the amazing quality of everything you expect from NationStates (they work) and come with the best features you've come to expect from tags. You have the required Tag Cloud. You can list regions by a tag. (Example: Tagged with Warzone). And, of course, if you are founder or delegate, you can add or remove tags from your region(s).

If you look at your region, you'll find that there already are some tags. Most of them, you won't be able to remove. These are "system" tags and are automatically assigned by NationStates. You may also find a few that you can remove. These are tags that moderators think you'll want. We've only had time to tag a few regions, and may have made mistakes here. Sorry.

Now, there remains some work left to be done. Currently, you can only search on a single tag at a time. You can also only add or remove a single tag at a time. Finally (and most limiting), players can't create tags, yet. We've tried to create some of the most important and useful tags (all listed below), but we know we've missed some (many). If you can think of a tag we should add (either normal or system), please post it in this thread and we'll consider it. We hope to open this feature up to players, but it will take some more time.

One thing though, Why are large and Enormous the same? Shouldn't Enormous be a higher bracket of regions?

I would love to see a Map tag and a NSWiki tag.

I love how the whole region system consistently becomes more unique. I especially like how this quickly outlines some important characteristics of a region, if you are searching.

I think the "regional government" tag is a good idea. May I respectfully suggest "surreal" and "snarky" and "thinks tags are silly."

My region has been stagnating into a slow decline of numbers for a while now, so this added ability to potentially get more of the right kind of people into our region is greatly appreciated.

I can't think of any extra tags to add, so that's all from me.

I'm not sure I understand these tags (except maybe 'free trade'). How is raider different from invader? (Remember, I'm mostly a techie.) What do these tags mean?

What about Monarchist--relating to regions that are run by a royal family? Or perhaps something for regions that are based around or have many members in the NS families? --though the latter is more tenuous an idea.

Those regions are dedicated to visiting other regions and saying hi/making friends. Invader wouldn't be appropiate.
