So, how many other NS players are fellow bronies? How many of us enjoy sneaking in small references to the show in our rps and things?

I for one definitely enjoy it...even though it first seems like a girly girl show, it turns out to be so adorable and sweet, with actually decent plot and jokes that I'll admit I'm hooked. Friendship is Magic is one show I will keep watching.

I've been having great fun with the show. In character as my nation I've recently begun an orbital weapons platform project, and I've given the first two the badass names of Twilight Sparkle and Nightmare Moon.

I also wargame alot, and in one of the space battle ones I play a friend's fleet is led by Pirate Princess Celestia aboard the strike carrier NIghtmare Moon, while my flagship is the mighty battlecruiser Mei Minimus Equus.

And thank you, I noticed a depressing lack of pony threads, so I felt I must rectify the problem. The newest episode is also quite awesome. Emo insane Pinkie Pie for one. :lol2:

Indeed it is. Especially given that that carrier is responsible for wrecking far too many of my ships. The Crusade to halt the NIghtmare Moon is under way!

Second season's already been confirmed.

I'm a little torn. I can understand Hasbro putting down its foot and telling Lauren Faust that season-long arcs are a bad idea and shouldn't be done (For the first season, anyway) - I remember well enough when I was little and longer storyarcs in my cartoons aggravated the fuck out of me because when you're < 10, it just ain't possible to catch all the episodes in the desired order. OTOH, everyone's got the intertubes now (And considering that The Hub isn't exactly a major network, the intertubes are presumably the way the majority of the audience watches), so it's a lot less of a problem now than it was in the 1980s... Maybe the producers should give it a shot after all, if only as an episode backdrop rather than the dominant theme.

I may need to start watching just to see what's gotten so many people I know (including a number of guys who don't strike me as being at all interested in a "girly" show) so hooked. I've heard that there's been a plague of ponies over on 4chan to the point it's become a meme.

And I suppose I can try and compare it to the old MLP cartoons I watched as a kid.
