Old Beringia, officially The Majestic Empire of Old Beringia (Lithianese: Yei Epwire Mejestque o Beringia Ald), is a fascist absolute monarchy comprising five provinces in the South Beringian Sea. It spans the Beringian continent and the numerous archipelagos to the south. The Beringian continent is 2,166,086 km2 and home to nearly 2 billion people. The nation also presides over the Commonwealth of Grand Beringia and the Commonwealth of Bering Minor Islands, as well as numerous colonies and territories abroad. It possess various colonies and territories abroad including The Vespucci Isles, Tasa Bara, Locksfound and Makarov. It is a former member nation of the The Union of Roswarne and current member nation of Coalition of Armed Nations.

The Empire was created during the middle ages. One of the first civilizations to rise up out of the disease in uncivilized people. King Frank led the Order of the Krystal Knights against the Tastifanian Kingdom. With frequent raids on Tastifanian soil and final raid in which he set fire to all the Tastifanian farmland he crippled their ability to wage war. The final siege organized all of the knights of Beringia to sack the main settlement of Tastifania. Once done he salted the area which is the Tastifanian Reservation today. In doing so he unified the three provinces of Beringia. A constitution was created and Beringia became a constitutional Monarchy under King Frank. Nearly 100 years later Queen Krystal came along with a slough of ill decisions marking the beginning of a slow decline. Forty years later the Empire fell back into a period of feudalism.

The feudal period ended and the Empire rose again thanks to King Lux Lucis. He called upon the descendant of the original Krystal Knights and created the second Constitutional Monarchy. This lasted well into the 18th century and many of Beringia's greatest rulers lived during this time. Including Queen Brenda II, the first widely accepted Queen. Unlike Queen Krystal the populus actually identified her as the Queen. And unlike Queen Krystal's reign there was not a decline of the Kingdom after she left power, the kingdom actually prospered.

In the early modern age (19th century) kings and queens were fading and monarchies were a thing of the past. King Lux Lucis X decided to reform the Empire. He drafted a new democratic constitution and a few other bills for his successor to implement. The would be King Lux Lucis XI became President Oliver Truman. The democracy lasted until a coup by Xerxes Miller aided by Tastifanians reduced the empire to half it's borders. This lasted until the assassination of Baron Alex Winston II by Harry Cede who reinstated the Democracy and became the seventh president of Old Beringia. This peace lasted as Beringia reclaimed it's lost lands.

Following an anthrax gas attack on the capital, Paradise Heights, at the time most of the countries government was moved to makeshift basses in Frank City(Now Emerald City). The President, Forrest McGalvin was giving a speech to reassure the people and he later walked into the crowd shaking peoples hands kissing babies and such. The President shook Princep's hand and he pulled out a pistol with his left. In seconds a spray of blood emptied from the back of the Presidents head. He shoved the corpse of the former President into the crowd, people screaming and running. Simultaneously the Vice President was assassinated. Once the crowd dispersed from the field that was the signal to a patriot in a tower overlooking the park to start the process. Fifteen years of civil war ensued that one day.

Like always the nation rises out of the smoke and a new form of government was put into place by Imperator Brandon Miller, grandson of Xerxes Miller. The Absolute Monarchy in place has functioned perfectly up to today.

Emerald City was the second official capital of Old Beringia and is located in the eastern plains of Old Beringia.
The old capital Paradise Heights was susceptible to frequent raids by the Tastifanians, earthquakes, and flooding now
controlled by the Grand Canal, stretching from the East Lewis River to Emerald City. It was named for the current
Empresses' maiden name Esmeraude, and the abundance of Emerald there when the city was founded. The capital building
is a towering glass and steel pyramid that lies in the center of the city, just north of SADM HQ and the national mall. The
capital and outlaying areas is home to nearly 22 million Beringians.

Important Historical Figures

King Frank led the Order of the Krystal Knights against the Tastifanian Kingdom. The final siege organized all of the knights of Beringia to sack the main settlement of Tastifania. Once done he salted the area which is the Tastifanian Reservation today. In doing so he unified the three provinces of Beringia.

King Lux Lucis ended the feudal period in which the local lords held more power than the 72 kings that ruled during a fifty year period after the collapse of the constitutional monarchy set in place by King Frank. He reorganized the Order of the Krystal Knights, calling upon the descendants of the same knights that ended Tastifanian rule nearly two centuries earlier. He created the Second Constitutional Monarchy.

Queen Brenda II was the first widely accepted Queen. Unlike Queen Krystal the populus actually identified her as the Queen. And unlike Queen Krystal's reign there was not a decline of the Kingdom after she left power, the kingdom actually prospered.

President James Cloverfield was the father of the glorified Cloverfield pistol family which is still in use in the Berinigan military today.

Lord Xerses Miller was the eighth president of Beringia but after the Enabling Acts he became a monarch. Viceroy Alan Paige was the Vice President at the time and also his right hand man, helping him pass the Enabling Acts. Using a strong sense of nationalism glorifying the nations Krystal Knights both expanded the Empire to it's current size. Viceroy Alan Paige sanctioned a piece of land for Tastifanians and ruled over it while Lord Xerses Miller ruled over the rest of Beringia.

President Harry Cede staged a coup d'état in order to remove Baron Alex Von Winston II from power after the collapse of the democracy. The coup was planned by Harry Cede who later became the first President of Beringia's second democratic system. Emperor Brandon Miller was the top General of the Beringian military when a terrorist attack on the nation by Tastifanians invoked a civil war. The war lasted for sixteen years and when it was over he declared himself Emperor.

Emperor Dux Ducis
The son of Lt. Col. Daniel Taylor and Cleopatra Taylor born in humble circumstances in the city of Concord, Old Beringia he started military training at the age of twelve, two years before most males started. He remained in the youth training corps until the age of 17 when a small gun fight in Charlotte turned into a full scale civil war that threatened the republic in place at the time. His training was immediately suspended and he joined the Imperial Beringian Armed Forces as a cavalryman. His father was killed later in the war at the battle of Emerald City and when the war made it north the Concord his mother was raped and murdered. Enraged by the loss of his mother and father to Tastifanians that started the war he worked his way up the ranks and eventually became a general changing his name to Dux Ducis. He halted the Tastifanian advance at Battery Park City and fought there for three weeks before numerous tanks arrived from Paradise Heights pushing the Tastifanians back. He fought along side Imperator Brandon Miller who after the war became the Emperor of Old Beringia. Following the previous Imperator's rise to power he was granted the title of Imperator or high commander of the Beringian Military. At the age of 30 he settled down in Paradise Heights where he met Alicia Esmeraude and later married her. When Emperor Brandon Miller died he ascended to the throne and became the Exalted Dux Ducis I at the age of 33 continuing the reconstruction of the East after the civil war and relocating Tastifanians to a reservation in the south west. He has remained the emperor of Old Beringia ever since.

Colonies And Overseas Possesions

Beringian Patria

East
Eastern Beringian Patria was recently founded by the first expeditionary fleet led by Lord Vespucci. The colony is home to 47,000 Beringians and 4,000 Tastifanian slaves which toil daily in the cotton plantations, coal and goldmines. Primarily owned by Nine an i Holdings the cotton fields have produced nearly 60,000 pounds of cotton since initial colonization; less than 10% of the fields are owned by private citizens. The cotton is also traded with the colony of Dubal which lies across the Patriatic River The salt flats, which are owned and operated by HNS Inc. and the BSSA jointly haven't been put to much use; only surveyors and government employees are permitted on the site. Following the Patriatic Engagement with Tabaros the colonies borders were extended and a coal mine was handed over to Beringia.
West
Western Beringian Patria was claimed after the Patriatic Engagement and is currently occupied by 50,000 Imperial Army soldiers that operate out of Camp Versailles. It is occupied by natives that will be enslaved or eradicated in the coming weeks.

Beringian Adriatica

New Beringia
New Beringia, the eastern most Beringian colony in Adriatica occupies the southern bank of the Aussie River. It also encompasses a portion of an island in the Atlantic off the coast of the Sucrati claim. Large reserves of Uranium and potash were found on the Beringian half of the island and further inland. Around 30,000 Beringians occupy the colony.
New Manhattan Point
Certainly one of the larger settlements in Adriatica, the Beringian colony of New Manhattan Point is the northern port that the 1^st expeditionary fleet frequents when far away from the home port of Divum City. The colony has large emerald and uranium deposits just as New Nash but in greater concentrations. New Manhattan Point lies on the banks of the Aussie and Adriatic Rivers.
New Nash
New Nash, the first Beringian colony in Adriatica and the primary port within the Beringian Adriatic Colonies, is home to nearly 4 million Beringians. There are large reserves of uranium and potash within the colony that are mined and transported via the vast transportation system that spans the colony.

Vespucci Isles

The first colony named after the modest Lord Leonardo Vespucci of the 1^st expeditionary fleet, the Vespucci Isles are an archipelago in the Weelpa Ocean. Originally discovered by Fedeledland sailors, the islands claimed were first colonized by the IBS Britalia, a ship in the 1^st expeditionary fleet. Construction on Henry York Airfield began on the second day. On the third day of colonization numerous deposits of iron ore were found further inland and a makeshift airfield to allow for civilian and light military air traffic was completed.

The Restructuring
Prior to the Beringian Civil War in 1984 the Beringian Military was structured differently in accordance with the democratic system in place at the time. The following service branches were in the military prior to the war.

After the war, the government had become highly decentralized. Vice President Fulton had denounced his presidency after initiating a series of reforms, strengthening the government. The Restructuring had four major parts relevant to the military as follows.

Dissolution of the National Guard - The service branch which the Guardian Corps can trace it's lineage back to and is it's pre-war sibling. Dissolved fully on February 16, 1999, the National Guard formed the basis of the combat doctrine for the Guardian Corps. Although the future Guardian Corps would not resemble the NG in most respects; seeing combat at both home and foreign nations. Most of the guards previously under the National Guard service branch were transferred to the Guardian Corps or Imperial Army the following month that passed the review. Those that did not pass were honorably discharged or dishonorably charged depending on their situation.

Subjugation of the Marine Corps - The marines, the second oldest service branch in the UPBT military, were subjugated under the Imperial Army, Imperial Air Force, Imperial Navy and Guardian Corps in March of 1999. Rather than restructured into an entirely different service branch, the marines were merely redistributed under every branch. Although some marines requested to be transferred to specific branches such as 2^nd Lt. De La Warr requesting to be transferred into the Guardian Corps Marine Division. Marines also requested to transfer into the Guardian Corps as regulars and not marines.

Transforming of the Air Service Into the Imperial Air Forces - Perhaps one of the less drastic changes to the military, the Air Service and the Air Corps that operated under the Department of the Army, were consolidated into the Imperial Air Forces.

Creation of the Guardian Corps - The Guardian Corps are currently the second largest service branch of the military second to the Imperial Army. The Corps are divided into Tier 1 and Tier 2 operatives. Tier 1, created in March of 1999 from former members of the National Guard and Marines, was created as a forward military force. (Occupation, Second & Successive Wave Infantry during Total War, First Wave Infantry in minor conflicts, etc.) Tier 2, created in April of 1999 mainly constituted new enlisted men that had not seen combat in the civil war and joined after the spring of 1999. In 2004 Tier 2 operatives were declared reserve forces.

The Imperial Army of Old Beringia is the oldest branch of the Beringian Military, along with the Imperial Navy that was created concurrently. The Army is also the largest service branch, nearly thirty million men and women serve under the Army. The Imperial Army is that branch of the Beringian Military responsible for conducting large scale land based combat in theaters of war other than the homeland, unless a state of distress is called for more than four out of six regions of Beringia. The chain of high command in the army starts with the Empress, followed by the Imperator and administrator, then Viceroy Vespucci. The Army does not participate in every ground engagement the Empire is involved in; sharing the honor with the Guardian Corps. The Army is only deployed in large conflicts, first wave infantry. Otherwise the Guardian Corps are deployed. Imperial Navy"Supremus Totus"

The Imperial Navy of Old Beringia is the naval warfare branch of the Beringian Military, one of the oldest branches. The Navy is the third largest service branch tasked with the protection of Beringian interests near and abroad, engaging in forward areas throughout the world and projecting the Beringian forces. It posses nearly fifty aircraft carriers and hundreds of warships and support ships.Imperial Air Service"Ascend to the wild blue."

The Imperial Air Service is the combined Imperial Air Forces and Air Service, under the Department of the Army. Led by High Marshall Goodspeed, the Air Service is the fourth largest force under the department of the military. It's primary multirole fighter is the FP-77, a fifth generation single-seat, single-engine aircraft designed to perform ground attack, reconnaissance, and air defense missions with stealth capability. Imperial Guardian Corps"Born of marines"

The Guardian Corps, founded in March of 1999, are the second largest branch of the Beringian Military. The modern Guardian Corps has it's roots in the National Guard and Marine Corps of the UPBT which were formed with Tastifania.

Sampson Lux Lucis: Deceased; Retired founder of the New Lithiland Rangers and the Beringian Knighthood. A military division specialized in CQB. The knights employ the use of various blades and fighting styles although for the most part, they still use guns. Sampson passed away at the age of 78 while performing a weapons demo for a newly inducted Knight Battalion.

Captain Christopher "Red" Redding First RP'd January 29, 2011 - Deceased; Veteran of the First and Second Great War. One of the first forces that were deployed to defend The Grand Duchy of Old Beringia from invading New Orcimmar soldiers on January 27, 1914. One of the few men to survive the bayonet charge the same day. Great Grandfather of Lt. Col. Aaron Baker. Redding passed away at the age of 73 in 1959.

Moretm Princeps: First RP'd May 29, 2010 - Executed; Princeps was a Tastifanian Patriot that assassinated President Forrest McGalvin in Battery Park City on April 16, 1984. He later went to fight in the Tastifanian Army and quickly became an officer. By 1995 he was a general. In 1997 his attack on Frank City was trumped by Commander Miller and General Taylor. In 1998 When Sai Tan fell to General Miller of the Beringian Army, Commander Miller's son, he, along with all officers that surrendered on the island, were executed.

Monty Gaines: First RP'd May 27, 2010 - Alive; Currently incarcerated in Paradise Heights Camps for mass murder. In 2005, before segregation, he with a group of seven other Tastifanians killed 122 men, women, and children in Manhattan Point.

Alex Domack: First RP'd March 14, 2011 - Killed; Overseer of a contracting company based in Paradise Heights. He was killed along with his wife by cruise missile strikes on civilian targets. On that morning Orlkjestadi cruise missiles struck Paradise Heights, Concord and Emerald City.

Melvin Weike: First RP'd March 11, 2012 - Alive; A Beringian born subject of the Empire that has lived in Scandigrad since his late twenties. He and his daughter and wife have considered moving back to Beringia due to the food shortage and subsequent riots throughout the island nation of Scandigrad. He wrote a letter to the Department of Foreign Affairs when he noticed the distributions getting more and more violent.

Cpt. Ramirez: First RP'd May 6, 2010 - Killed In Action; First responder in the massacre at Haiz City. Member of the Guardian Corps and led a company of 100 into Haiz City via airdrop. After the situation intensified and human supremacists took up arms within Haiz, his company was relieved of duty. He was killed by enemy aircraft fire.

After repelling a major attack upon the allied airport, the only way to land troops and supplies into Haiz without airdropping them, he moved the 3^rd Battalion into northern Haiz. After being ambushed by the Supremacist Armada, that employed scorched earth tactics, most of his battalion were killed or taken prisoner. He, along with a few others survived the attack and were honorably discharged.

During the civil war he was part of the Marines and saw a considerable amount of fighting, in every major battle. Third wave responder in Haiz. Arrived on the western beach with the 5^th Battalion. Relieved of duty when the Imperator suspended all combat missions within Haiz, withdrawing all Beringian forces from the nation.

Lord Leon Vespucci: First RP'd May 28, 2010 - In Service; Fought in the Beringian Civil War along side Lt. Gen. De La Warr. At the time they were both PFC. In the Battle of Paradise Heights and later the Great Escape From Paradise he was part of the Beringian Marine Corps, a section of the military which is nonexistent today. After the restructuring of the military at the end of the war, he was transferred to the navy. He currently leads the first expeditionary fleet from the IBS Aletheia, the sister ship of the IBS Veritas.

Viceroy Gianni Vespucci: First RP'd May 15, 2010 - In Service; Lord Vespucci's father, and current High General of the armies. Two Star General of the First army during the Civil War. Currently presided over the Tastifanian Reservation as Vice Royalty.

Cpt. Winters: First RP'd June 24, 2010 - In Service; Member of the prestigious Special Operations and Reconnaissance Unit or SOaR Unit, senior commanding officer of Strike Team Lightning in particular. Veteran of the Second Beringian Civil War, Northern Campaign, and second wave attack on the Holoalaska oil rig and later the oil fields of southern Holoalaska.

Sergent Bragg: First RP'd June 25, 2010 - Killed In Action; Member of the prestigious Special Operations and Reconnaissance Unit or SOaR Unit, non commissioned officer of Strike Team Lightning in particular. Veteran of the second wave attack on the Holoalaska oil rig and later assaulted the oil fields of southern Holoalaska. He was killed in the battle by an explosion.

PFC Sarkis First Rp'd June 24, 2010 - Killed In Action; Member of the prestigious SOaR Unit, specifically Strike Team Midnight. PFC Sarkis was the radio operator on the team contingent that assaulted the oil rig in the opening stages of the Fallout Wars. Although his exact moment of death or the circumstances of his death are unknown to SADM and SOaRB it is known he was killed along with the rest of Strike Team Midnight within a two hour window after their last radio transmission by Zathgan soldiers clad in APA(Advanced Power Armor).

Sgt. Billings First Rp'd June 24, 2010 - Killed In Action; Member of the prestigious SOaR Unit, specifically Strike Team Midnight. Billings was Lieutenant Kane's second in command and close friend. Before his enrollment in the NLR and later SOaR Unit he worked at SADM as an intelligence officer. Although his exact moment of death or the circumstances of his death are unknown to SADM and SOaRB it is known he was killed along with the rest of Strike Team Midnight within a two hour window after their last radio transmission by Zathgan soldiers clad in APA(Advanced Power Armor).

Gen. Petronas: First RP'd September 19, 2010 - In Service; General of the 4^th Tier 1 Guardian Corps. Put down a rebellion in Obamacain. During the Beringian Civil War he was a member of the Marines. Petronas designed the mainly ornamental GP-5.56, a pistol that fired the rifle cartridge from which the pistol derives it's namesake.

Lt. General Caine: First RP'd September 19, 2010 - In Service; Commanding Officer of the Imperial Army Fusiliers. Caine was recently transferred to the Army from the Guardian Corps. He is a veteran of the Second Beringian Civil War, having fought along side Admiral Vanderbilt during the war as marines. He has commanded the Guardian Corps Palmetto Corp and been an officer in the 5th Tier 1 Guardian Corps since his transfer from the now defunct marines in 1999.

Col. Verrazzano: First RP'd September 19, 2010 - In Service; A prominent officer in 4^th Tier 1 Guardian Corps. Veteran of the New Lithiland Campaign, where the newly formed Guardian Corps and New Lithiland Rangers were tasked with finding and dispatching of Tastifanain Remnants within the Elezentau Mountains and throughout New Lithiland in 2002. Verrazzano was offered a position in the NLR after the New Lithiland Campaign in 2003 but declined for unknown reasons.

Lt. Gen. De La Warr: First RP'd October 17, 2010 - In Service; Officer in the Guardian Corps sanctioned unit within the first expeditionary fleet. Spearheaded the attack on the Patriatic river winning the initial battle with the Colony of Dubal. His attack is considered the battle that won the war.

Cpt. T. Shale First RP'd August 29, 2010 - In Service; Member of the New Lithiland Rangers. Primarily stationed at ranger base L-1397, he assisted Col. Erickson Von Bismarck of Nazi Centauri in getting to safety when his flight crashed in New Lithiland.

First Lieutenant Harold Berthier First RP'd January 29, 2011 - Killed In Action; Veteran of the First Great War and Combatant of the Second Great War where he lost his life in the Battle of Sai Tan. Enlisted on January 27, 1914, the day The Grand Duchy of Old Beringia was attacked. During the battle of Sai Tan, formally known as the Invasion of The UPBT he was killed in an Allied bombing.

Vice President/President/Emperor Robert Fulton: First RP'd August 31, 2010 - Deceased; Became acting president of the UPBT upon the assassination of Forrest McGalvin. After the civil war he initiated a number of reforms turning the former UPBT into the EOB. He was technically the first Emperor but resigned the following week after all reforms had been passed. He passed away in November 2008.

Erin Sheppard: First RP'd August 31, 2010 - Deceased; The would be Emperor of Old Beringia if he had not been killed in the attacks on Marseille, Old Beringia. He became the Vice President to Robert Fulton after an emergency vote in the winter of 1984. He was killed in 2002 by Tastifanain Remnants.

Rex Rgis James Ghanton III: First RP'd April 18, 2010 - Alive; James Ghanton III is the first minister of foreign affairs since the collapse of the democratic system in Beringia. Unlike his predecessors he was given much more power that which is comparable to a Vice President in a Democracy. Since most of the official documents from the fallen democracy were destroyed in the opening stages of the Beringian Civil War he didn't really have much to base his work off of. Thus being said he has done a fine job so far under those circumstances. His fiancée is Lt. Col. Tatiana Frank who is currently in the Beringian Cavalry.

Grand Duchess Brenda Winston First RP'd January 27, 2010 - Deceased; Grand Duchess of the Grand Duchy of Beringia from 1912 - 1930 during the First Great War. She was famous among the ducal leaders of Beringia for contracting privateers to raid Allied shipping throughout the initial stages of the First Great War. It is believed that if her son had not taken control after her death that Beringia and Tastifania would still be a dual duchy.

The Grand Beringian Standard

The Commonwealth of Grand Beringia is a possession under the protection of the Empire of Old Beringia. The commonwealth is a constitutional republic comprised of thirteen provinces spread across one main island and three minor islands. The islands are off of the west coast of Old Beringia and south of Xyliod. Originally settled in 1423 CE by sailors from the Tastifanian Kingdom in the north and sailors from the Beringian Kingdom in the south in 1434. Originally under the constitution Grand Beringia was defined as an extension of the two separate kingdoms.

Following the reign of Queen Krystal and a slow decline of the new Kingdom of Beringia which encompassed the previous Tastifanian Kingdom the islands seceded. For fifty years the islands had their own constitution and government separate of that of the mainland. Relations between the islands and the mainland were limited to trading precious metals mined in the northern island. With the reinstatement of the constitution and reclamation of seceded possessions by King Lux Lucis, Grand Beringia was reclaimed under the Empire in 1656.

In 1832 King Lux Lucis relinquished the rights to Grand Beringia creating an autonomous nation and reforming the government of the Empire into a democracy. After the reformation the Grand Beringian Isles became a safe haven for Tastifanians trying to escape the persecution of President York. That culminated in the collapse of the democratic experiment and a return to feudalism under Lord Xerxes Miller and Viceroy Alan Paige.

London Heights, the capital of the Commonwealth, is situated and constitutes most of the western island of Grand Beringia. It is the most populus city in Grand Beringia and fifth in the top ten most populated cities in the Empire of Old Beringia.

The Grand Beringian Standard

The Grand Beringian national flag ("The Standard") consists of two diagonal rows of ten and three stars, a rectangle on the right which consists of thirteen equal horizontal stripes of red (top and bottom) alternating with black and the Beringian three pointed star ("Royal Trinity") in the canton. The first row of ten stars represents the ten historical provinces which constituted Old Beringian and the second row of three stars which constitute Grand Beringia. The thirteen stripes represent the thirteen orders of Knights in early Beringian history. It is partially derived from the Old Beringian Royal Trinity. Within Grand Beringia it is frequently displayed, not only on public buildings, but on private residences. It is also used as a motif on decals for car windows, and clothing ornaments such as badges and lapel pins.

The Dominion of Beringian Minor Outlaying Islands are numerous atolls and islands in the South Bering Sea under the protection and possession of the Empire of Old Beringia. The Dominion is separated into two (East and West) semi-autonomous viceroyalities led by Viceroy Victoria Wright and Viceroy Nicholas Lee respectively. Provinces don't exist under the bi-viceroyalty level such as that of Old Beringia and Grand Beringia. Rather, smaller islands aren't grouped into groups to be equal in size with larger islands
