Hmm, Peter deliberately said he was NOT a vegetarian, and as far as "Extreme vegetarians" go, those would be Vegan's. Though of course, you can be a Vegan without being "extreme" about it, and I guess you could probably be "extreme" about being a Vegetarian.

Don't worry about it. Besides, Dirk's still waiting for a reply from Haruna; Joseph [Knight] might be waiting for a reply from Alex, since I'm guessing that the former wants to know how the latter got here; and FabRain's probably waiting for someone to talk to one of their characters (if they've got anyone doing anything at the moment). Feel free to correct me, anyone.

I dunno how there is so much good retrowave/synthwave stuff. Usually stuff trying to bring back the old days is as boring as the stuff was originally, but some of this is so good.

Hmm... What's your take on vaporwave? Future funk? Chillwave? I mean, I did bring vaporwave up in an earlier post but I never really got round to showing you what it sounded like. Also, don't worry if you don't like any of the songs.

Sounds nice. Any specific cut or side or anything along those lines?

P.S. United Islands of Polis: I'd like to point out that Peter's not a vegetarian, since he did eat meat on a couple of occasions in the story (Tuesday breakfast where he had bacon and sausages, and a pizza, which he also bought on Tuesday, which had bacon on it). That's my fault, since I didn't word it properly and, as a result, I'd like to apologise if you have to go back and rewrite it just to correct a mistake made by bad wording. Saying that, I do have a couple of characters that I might end up writing apps for and one of them is vegetarian, so that might be a small condolence.

I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of most of those styles (Though I guarantee I could find stuff I like if I dug deep enough, I usually do), though Chillwave is probably what I'd tolerate the most. I know I like some music in that territory, after all, even if not actually that style. But in the "chill" style.

As far as funk, I'm pretty picky, but I like some

And this is the similarish style I was talking about. Not really entirely alike but it's still got a general relaxing feeling.

Hmm, I dunno the best way to approach the race, so maybe those of you in the race itself should discuss how to go about the race via Telegram, and maybe do a collaboration post and such to figure out who does what and who wins, though "winning" will be debatable after they hit the cops of course. I just don't really know what to do entirely.

I mean, I guess you all could do a post saying you took off from the starting line or something, I'm not sure.

One of them [Erin] is a lesbian rivethead from New Zealand. And, personality-wise, she's a laidback and chill sort of girl, the sort that wouldn't mind if you sat down next to her or if you wanted to copy her answers or anything like that. Although, much like Peter, she does have her snarky moments, they don't happen that often and, when they do, they're more affectionate than malicious. I don't have that many ideas when it comes to a plot, though, although that might end up changing soon if she makes any friends.

And the other [Kennedy] is a bisexual rugby league player from Australia. Personality-wise, he's basically this big, loud yet friendly guy that tends to have a smile on his face most of the time. He's not stupid, though, as his best subject is math(s), something which I might bring up if I ever get the chance. Also, despite not being a massive fan of American football, he will still play for the AVHS/BHHS football team if they ask him to, especially if it has anything to do with kicking (which makes sense, seeing as he did the penalties and conversions for the school rugby team back home).

Apologies for the brief and possibly unhelpful explanations, by the way. They're just so you can get a rough idea of the character and, if they're alright, I'll get to work on their apps. Don't be afraid to ask any questions, seeing as I can probably fill them in or explain them in detail when I get to the app.

Meh, don't worry about it. Besides, I'm not that big on vaporwave (or any of the other genres under that umbrella) either, so I'm not really bothered if you didn't like them.

Also, I'll check those songs out tomorrow.

Took a 50-50 on whether it was "Islands" or "States" and I picked the wrong one. And that's why I'm glad I was never on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Joking aside, I'll fix that right now, mate.

EDIT: Fixed it.

Touché. However, it all depends on whether or not Willow will be alright with an insomniac vegetarian who listens to a lot of industrial music and enjoys a nice glass of wine from time to time (though, fortunately, not enough to get drunk).

I don't really see her caring, as long as the person is nice, even if her own personal tastes are pretty mellow. I guess it also depends on her age now that I think about it. I forgot Willow is young, at 14. Her whole purpose was to be young and to just be "discovering" her place in the world and who she is.

Which, speaking of, I'm going to see one of her listed bands in about 4 days. About damn time!

Also, oh damn, Neil Degrasse Tyson speaks at the same place the day after the show.

And out of curiosity, does she like industrial (This one literally in the original style of being recorded in an industrial factory) industrial music, or is it forms of electronic industrial, industrial metal, industrial rock, industrial hip-hop, and so on? Or all of this?

(Yes, I just also linked stuff for all of this)

I think it's weird that my co-op suddenly disappeared, since it wasn't like they were a new nation. They have been around for 7 years, longer than me. But alas, they conveniently disappear from existence around the time they're in my RP.

Yay my RP luck? :P

I feel like, for personal reasons, working on even fancier app sort of things for all my characters/major characters, just to fully flesh out everything in app form. Yes, even more so than the current app. It's probably only for myself but I kinda feel like doing that for some reason.

Sounds reasonable. Besides, even if they don't become anything more than friends, I think that they should still try and help each other out with things, especially since one's trying to discover her place in the world and the other's trying to get used to studying in a foreign country for the next couple of years.

Pretty much all of it, yes, although she's not really into hip-hop (she does, however, love Godflesh). However, she tends to listen to a lot of electro-industrial and EBM, if anything. No, I'm not really sure on what the differences between the two genres are, either.

The variety of genres is ridiculous and confusing. Some are legitimate, but a lot confuse the hell out of me.

Like I looked up that first one and got "Aggrotech" as the genre.

I even think this website I use said EBM is kind of hard to categorize.

Yeah.

I always kind of imagined Willow wanting to travel the world, so her being from a foreign country on her end would be intriguing enough for her.

I have made the mistake of having way too many characters just floating about in the background from making stuff on a side forum (Where I had half this schools populations worth of characters) that work for these types of RP's. I keep having the temptation to bring my illegal Mexican immigrant character back into the RP.

Here is Willow back. I feel like I need to work more thoroughly on details related to her, though. I'm not sure how she became chaotic neutral, for example.

Name: Willow Malcomson

Nickname: Midget, because at least one person has to give you an offensive nickname, right? But it's never really used on her or anything.

Age: 14

Sex: Female

Gender: She's questioning. She's not 100% certain either way on her opinion on her gender identity, but she thinks about it a lot so it isn't like she doesn't care. She just doesn't know yet.

Picture Appearance:
Image

Job Position: None

Abilities: Natural talent for picking up music, though she still needs practice.

Origin: May 5th, 2002, Orlando, Florida, United States (Though hasn't lived there for a while, so she's adapted to colder weather)

Personality: I don't really 100% know yet, so I'll just wing it.

Equipment: Nothing that stands out beyond the typical stuff like a cellphone and whatnot.

Suggested Information

Moral Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Blood Type: B-

Height, Weight, Body Type: 4'11", 96 pounds, her body type is rather small, and she is rather small in general. Not just in height, but just in body size period.

Distinguishing Marks: Nothing comes to mind (Nothing really ever does in this territory for me)

Bio/History: Willow is pretty much a 14-year old girl who is currently in that phase of life where she's trying to figure out who she is, and is a bit confused and lost in that regard. She's busy "discovering" herself, so to speak. Recently, she's been in the process of discovering her sexuality, realizing that she has an attraction to girls. There should obviously be nothing wrong with this, but she's aware that there's still a stigma about this, so thanks to society, she automatically feels a bit uncomfortable about it. She hasn't really told anyone yet, including her parents, who she doesn't really entirely trust on the topic. They weren't exactly ultra conservative people who are usually the ones against "the gays", but they weren't entirely progressive, either, so she was just hesitant to say anything. And she doesn't have a lot of friends she trusts, either. However, as time passes, she'll begin to embrace who she is, and not care at all, she just needs to get over the personal roadblocks she is dealing with at the moment. Plus on top of it all, she's not completely certain on a lot of things in her life, like her goals in life (Right now she just feels like her life is in a dead end loop, but that pretty much sums up life after all), what she wants to do, her full opinion on her gender identity, and so on. She generally thinks of herself as a female, but at the same time she's been unsure about it on multiple occasions. She thinks though that she's generally just a girl with a masculine side, and doesn't cater fully to the typical feminine traits, but at the same time she does realize she has a bit of a girly side. So maybe she's a bit of both? She doesn't really know yet, but all of this will be a part of her development in the story at trying to discover who she is. And a lot of this came up recently, as she turned 14 and began being in the high school age. It'll just take her a while to fully understand it all.

Additional Fun Stuff

Voice: No idea. Just use your imagination.

Personal Skills: 1.Guitar skills
2.Seems to be a natural at dancing, but tends to do her own thing with said dancing, instead of just being a ballerina or something. in fact, she hates ballerina dance moves, and prefers stranger, or more exotic moves.
3.Participates in orchestral music (or did), so she knows a bit about that
4.Skills in music related stuff in general, really. Though oddly, despite her apparent interest in music, she finds it more of a hobby and doesn't actually listen to a ton of music all the time.

Sex Orientation: Homosexual

Likes: I'm sure she has specifics in this territory, but since she's still discovering herself, I'll just leave it at that. (Okay, going off of my electives on the other RP, dance, orchestra, and guitar, so music is a good part of her liking I'd say)

Dislikes: Homophobes, bigots, racists, gender stereotypes, gender roles, gender specific toys, such like that.

Disorders & Handicaps: Nothing defining that I can think of at the moment.

Past Occupations: Working basic stuff with her parents, if that counts.

Fears, Wishes, and Goals: Fears: A fear of time, in a sense. She's afraid to grow up, and isn't ready for it. Her currently trying to figure out herself is hard enough, then you slap life responsibilities on top of it? Yeah, she's not particularly looking forward to it. Has a bit of a fear of making big life decisions, which kinda fits with the whole growing up part. Also a bit of a fear that all of this may make her go insane somehow, even though she knows that it is ridiculous to think so. Afraid of freedom in the sense of suddenly having her life be her life and up to her what she would do with it. Pretty much again ties in with most of the tother stuff.
Wishes: To be accepted for who she is, I guess. Beyond that, I'm not really sure.
Goals: As said above, she literally has no idea. So since she has no idea, there's really not a lot of goals, either. Though I guess that her goal could be to discover herself and figure out what she wants to do with her life?

Theme Song: No idea as usual

Music Taste: The Unwinding Hours, Mono, Hammock, Aereogramme, Explosinos in the Sky, Alcest, Blueneck, Lanterna, This Will Destroy You, The Evpatoria Report, Mogwai, Sigur Ros, ect

Scent: Nothing noteworthy

First up, sorry for being quiet over the last few days, I've been working on those apps. If I stop procrastinating, I should hopefully have them up by the end of the week or beginning of the next. Once I've got them up, I'll get to work on Peter's response to Christian, so hang tight, United States Islands of Polis (yes, that was intentional).

Like I looked up that first one and got "Aggrotech" as the genre.

I even think this website I use said EBM is kind of hard to categorize.

That's true. Besides, what's the difference between coldwave and industrial rock/metal? How do you know you're listening to a hardstep song as opposed to darkstep? And other questions like that. And then you've got the genres that seem like they were made for a laugh, like nightcore (which is taking a song and speeding it up. That's literally all it is)...

P.S. I'm not sure if that last song I linked is technically EBM but, to be honest, I couldn't think of a good third song of the genre off the top of my head at the time and I didn't want to link another song by a band I had already done.

P.P.S. Which site did you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Besides, even if they don't become anything more than friends, I think that they should still try and help each other out with things, especially since one's trying to discover her place in the world and the other's trying to get used to studying in a foreign country for the next couple of years.

Yeah.

I always kind of imagined Willow wanting to travel the world, so her being from a foreign country on her end would be intriguing enough for her.

Interesting. I can kind of imagine it would go, with Willow probably asking about New Zealand and if it's nice there. Same goes with the other way round, with Willow being asked about the US and if how it is. There might be other things they'd talk about but those are the only two I could think of at the top of my head when I was writing this.

I was kinda waiting for Terintania to post since I don't really know what to do. I know with April, Kylantha is busy with midterms (Fun), so he can't really post.

RYM (Rateyourmusic), which I have in my signature

Example of an album and its designated genres, the brighter and bigger ones the more "prominent" genres and the others more just like hints of it.
