You kids are welcome for the man with an Umbrella Sword. I found it a more posh/more useful version of a cane sword. That and it suits the aesthetic of being a posh Englishman.

NAME: Sarah Walker
ALIAS: None yet, she’s tried.
NATIONALITY: British
ETHNICITY: White British
AGE: 20 (DOB: 4th February 1996)
APPEARANCE: Sarah can only be described as uncommonly well-built for her age. Broad-shouldered and somewhat stocky, she makes up for her lack of height with a well-developed core and torso as well as both incredibly muscular legs and powerful arms. Athletic, she has spent a significant portion of her life pushing her body as far as it will go. Her physique aside, Sarah is rather unassuming. Her somewhat-tall face has fairly few distinguishing features that mark her apart in a crowd besides her remarkably bushy eyebrows and unruly, charcoal-black hair typically kept in check in a ponytail that just reaches her shoulders and curls inwards slightly towards the neck.

ALIGNMENT: Neutral-Good
OCCUPATION: Self-Employed (Freelance courier and photographer)

ABILITIES: Discovered only within the past two years, Sarah has the ability of personal teleportation. She is able to (seemingly) instantaneously move herself from one location to another in space. As far as she is concerned, her abilities are currently only known to herself, so she has never attempted to move more than herself and her immediate items of clothing and equipment in this manner; it is unknown if she can teleport multiple people at once. Sarah’s teleportation preserves momentum, however with effort she can choose to alter or even cancel her momentum with a jump, although this takes far more effort than simply performing a normal teleport. Whilst cancelling momentum takes a great deal of effort, Sarah can choose to change her orientation in space with a jump; moving in a different direction after completing a jump.

Her powers are currently limited in one crucial way; she requires visual knowledge of a target destination before she can attempt a jump. If she is unable to visualize her point of landing, she finds herself unable to teleport to the desired location. Sarah is able to teleport to a location if presented with an accurate image of it (she cannot teleport to a location that no longer exists), or if she has been there before. Presumably as a defence mechanism, her powers will not allow her to teleport into a solid object she cannot displace upon arrival. She is therefore able to teleport into air, a body of water, fire, (presumably) vacuum, or an otherwise easily moved body of particulate matter such as sand, but she is not able to teleport inside of harder-to-displace objects such as metal, concrete or deep earth.
SKILLS: Sarah loves physical activities of all sorts, but has a particular love of cycling, running, swimming, and martial arts; boxing and Muay Thai kickboxing are the two which she can be seen to have a good degree of proficiency in. In addition, she has been learning Savate for two years, but is not fully proficient in it yet. She is also often found in the gym, all these skills demonstrate that she has a great degree of kinaesthetic intelligence, however she also has some experience handling firearms (from a mixture of sources; her cadet days and her time spent with a shooting family member) and is an incredibly quick thinker. Being from Newcastle, she has a smattering of simple engineering skills, but is not particularly specialized in this regard.

More generally, Sarah has a knack for photography, is quickly learning sewing, can understand accents from all parts of the UK, up to and including Doric. She is known to be able to sleep on any surface in any situation, is confirmed to be able to bluff her way into a casino with no ID and using only a fake moustache, and is able and happy to eat almost anything, and she is an exceptionally awful cook despite being able to replicate to a perfectly presentable and delicious standard the cake recipe that has been passed down her family line for generations. Perhaps uniquely, she is known amongst her friends for being an awful singer whilst sober, but being a phenomenal singer whilst paralytic drunk; in particular being able to do surprisingly good tributes to both Abba and Ah-ha.
WEAKNESS: Sarah’s powers allow her to avoid attempts by others to land blows on her in a fight, and this, combined with her fast-thinking and tactical awareness, make her a formidable opponent. Despite this she is not superhumanly fast-thinking, and an opponent who can react faster than Sarah would easily have an opportunity to intercept her attacks and land shots on her. Additionally, although she is brave and experienced in the ring, she is inexperienced in terms of life-or-death situations, and so may make poor decisions as a result of panic. At the most basic level, her weaknesses are ultimately those of a regular human; she is not superhumanly durable, and so any attack that would put an ordinary person out of commission is just as likely to do serious harm to Sarah.
GOALS: Sarah wants to live up to what she perceives as her family history. Ultimately, her goals are simple; help protect others and to become stronger herself.
FEARS: Failure, being judged by peers, being trapped, encased or buried.

EQUIPMENT: Currently, Sarah’s costume has clearly been assembled from a variety of surplus gear, such as a DPM smock and trousers, a balaclava, a Modular Integrated Communications Helmet and a pair of steel-toed combat boots. Whilst not particularly impressive, the outfit remains practical, and offers a degree of protection from the elements and blunt trauma. Sarah’s resources are otherwise too limited to make anything more for her own use.

PERSONALITY: Sarah is a forthcoming and confident individual, fast to talk and fast to think, she is known amongst friends for her awful jokes. Generally, she tries to be sociable and open, making time to spend with others, however she is not necessarily a socially wise creature, and will often try to offer advice and help others even if her input is unhelpful. Typically upbeat, Sarah tends to roll with the punches; she is fast to forgive (or perhaps forget) minor transgressions, and frequently flippant in the face of adversity. Sarah thrives on adversity, and will often place herself in situations which necessitate pushing herself, both physically and in terms of will, to continue. When not working or (attempting to) fight injustice, she can most often be found at the gym or on the track; she is well motivated by an ethos of physical and martial self-improvement.
Her philosophy, such that it is, is rooted in this drive to become stronger. Sarah, perhaps rather optimistically, believes that strength carries with it a moral duty to demonstrate righteousness in its use.
LIKES: The Gym, the track, mud, Indian food, Chinese food, food, awful puns, the Armed Forces, the Queen, alcohol in all the wonderful forms God gave unto the earth (except vodka), travelling, karaoke (but only after the seventh drink), film (almost to the point of being a film snob) and 70’s-90’s Swedish pop music (the only thing the Swedes have ever given the world, really.)
DISLIKES: Idling, politics, the colour pink (purples much nicer, why don’t more people like it?), twitter, vegans, but only if they make a big deal out of it, people who think small dogs are better than big ones (Corgi’s and Jack Russell Terriers are acceptable), vodka, smartphones (not out of any desire to be different; the touch-screens don’t agree with her fingers) and young adult literature written after 2010 (It was better in her day, she’ll have you know.)

BIO: Sarah was born into a family with a long tradition of military service. Her father served in the First Gulf War, her great-grandfather had served with the Royal Marines in the Second World War, and he in turn had been inspired to greatness by stories of his own grandfather, who had served with distinction in the Second Boer War. From a young age, Sarah fully identified with the military mythology of her family’s past; she eagerly joined the cadets in her school years, and it was only fate that kept her from enlisting in whatever capacity she could in the Army.

Sarah carried a reputation as a tomboy in school, and although she faced a certain amount of bullying in her younger years, a lot of the friendships made by commitment to sports then continue to play a part in her life today. Not long before her eighteenth birthday, Sarah discovered her abilities. Activated purely by accident, Sarah teleported herself a short distance after tripping whilst walking the family dog, and although initially confused and even frightened, she soon figured out how to control her powers, and has spent a great deal of time and effort since then mastering them as best as she can.

Realizing that her abilities allowed her to accomplish great things, Sarah decided not to join the armed forces, believing she would have time to make the decision of whether or not her abilities belonged in the military at a later date. She has since then sharpened her skills and attempted to work up money with what work she can, eventually hoping to spend some time travelling the world to acquire new skills to further her abilities. Her eventual goal, known only to her, is to use her abilities to protect others and become a hero, like one from the stories she grew up with, or like those in her own family.
