Champion's Cup: New Oxford Coliseum, New Oxford, capacity: 65,000

While it does have a population of around one million, which sounds small by international standards, it is concentrated in a small area, making it a very dense city. New Oxford is very ethnically diverse, even more so than Cenial, with large Asian, Electrumite, and Euran populations. New Oxford is most notable for hosting the third of Ceni's major universities, the University of New Oxford, which boasts a high quality educational program. In addition to its University, with its excellent sporting facilities, New Oxford hosts a number of museums and other educational institutions, as well as science and technology based industries within its soaring, modern skyline. Besides these attractions, New Oxford has a very active nightlife, with a large number of bars and nightclubs serving the student population, and the city is a hub of cocktails and experimentation with alcohol. As such, there are quite a few drunken ramblers out at night, although many students do stay sober.

New Oxford's major team, Myrmidon, gained a new stadium recently with the construction of the New Oxford Coliseum, a stadium that seats 65,000 people. Previously, the club had made use of a stadium at the University of New Oxford, which was much smaller and not adequate as the club's fan base expanded. The stadium perhaps deserves the name of 'Millenium' more so than the actual Millenium Stadium, as it is very modern and has almost a space-age feel to it. The stadium is also totally covered with translucent panels, giving it the look of a gemstone, and also protecting the pitch from inclement weather. The Coliseum is also notable for its VIP boxes, of which it has more than your usual stadium. While fans can get a bit rowdy (New Oxford is a University town after all) and the pitch can get a bit dark, the atmosphere totally makes up for this, and teams like playing here because of that unique atmosphere. The stadium was recently renovated and expanded by 10,000 seats to meat requirements to become eligible to host the Champion's Cup.

Two major news took the whole scene. For one, the Hatcher League kicked the bucket after youth clubs failed to come to any agreement after a financial crisis took some and made others join Sunrisian Championship teams. The new Hatcher League saw Project +90 Northern Sunrise sneak with the title as Centre for Excellence Sunrise's final season ended on disappointment. No announcement has been made about it, though word around the league is that Territory Nine's Evolución B will take their spot as the invited team while the teams backing up the Sunrisian branch will host their own Hatcher League teams, though Mardi Lopunnies certainly came on top, taking home forward prospect Scott Pillgrim and possibly the white and red outfit as an alternate choice for the revived Mardi Bunearies.

The rival association started by the clubs, Major League Youth Soccer delivered their own "old time youth soccer" brand with just as much excitement as ENXVOJ gave Aonx their very first sports title of relevance, also getting their ticket to a Grand Final against Project +90 NSI, which both leagues now promote as the Sunrisian Youth Trophy. A third wheel, formed by the high schools that once played the Hatcher, had Gama Filho take the Academics League's trophy. The Street League remained as is, Blue Sky Temjin winning.

Finally, the Central Sunrisians still haven't decided who won the title, a result of federation turmoil after critics of the old format piled up, yet their federation couldn't come up with something better.


YOUTH FOOTBALL
Heatbreak at Aonx, +90 Northern Sunrise takes the first SYT

An almost full crowd of 35,249 on the Aonx City Park saw their home town team live the dream until the very end, when Jordi Porra, now lone goalkeeper of the Tiamare side deflected with his chest a shot by Bailaxolani Xirispa in the very end, sealing off the 4-3 that ruined the day for the Aonxian squad. And that's not to say they didn't dream. The crowd has heavy on the side of the home team, ENXVOJ started out with the line-up that won the Major League Youth Soccer this season. If you're a fan, you might know them by memory, if not: Braxlett; Nomaxvon, Alfonxwan, Pasxherd, Goxildon; Ltamrixiter, Xirispa, Dalmihxi, Xelbirica; Sonsaurox and Sxodmuren. Under a mixed reaction from the crowd, the +90 Northern Sunrise team clearly showed themselves different, their line-up no longer having Brâm Couch, now at Banguela plus Devone Mears and Katina Paws starting over Yu Kwok-Ho and Fatmire Shqipe. Beyond that, it was the same as their regular line-up: Porra; Fallenshine, Gain the Opposum, Montano, Alataël, Berry; Mears, Paws, Labonne; Casablanca, Longhorne.

The game wasn't exactly high on goals, however, both sides failing to score, though that was mostly thanks to a stand-out participation by both Porra and Braxlett, though by the end both goalies were nearly exhausted. Braxlett was given the chance to be substituted but decided not to, while Porra had no choice but to go all out. The Aonxian keeper was the first on the line, leaping perfectly towards the left, only for Casablanca to target the right. 1-0. The series continued, Sxodmuren answering proudly to the call of justice by answering with a goal, 1-1. Longhorne scored the second for the Tiamare side, only for that to be countered by Xelbirica scoring. Paws scored the third, Sonsaurox firing back to tie 3-3. Labonne scored the fourth for +90, leaving Ltamrixiter to try. Porra was, however, focused, deflecting the shot. Gain the Opposum now had the chance of taking the trophy home. Only for the shot to be booted out to the side, in a rather floppy manner. The final shot was on the feet of Xirispa. Bailaxolani Xirispa took a brief sigh before running towards the ball... blunting it right on the chest of Porra, who then threw the ball high to celebrate.

The Euran Football Association’s Euraleague
Recap on Season 27

Directus won the league for a second consecutive season in Season 27, under the leadership of Tom Benedict and once again inspired by Maas Fox. However they also achieved great things abroad. Despite Eura’s unfortunate collapse against eventual champions Nephara at the World Cup, Directus saved the nation’s blushes by winning the Champions Cup for the first time in their history. After topping their group in the group stage, they brushed aside SC Cascadia of Nephara, while Spartangrad went out to Tanrisal of Pasarga in the same round. Disaster seemed to have struck them when they lost 0-2 at home in the first leg of their quarter final against Dwile Warriors. However Directus demonstrated that last year’s Globe Cup run wasn’t a fluke and that they are now a UICA contender, by going to Dwile and smashing the Apoxian’s 4-0. It was a big moment for Felipe Ebenezer, who scored two sensational goals.

In the semi-finals they came home from a first leg in Vilita against Jungle Strike FC with an away goal and level pegging, before winning comfortably 3-1 at a packed Castle Road. In the final at the Piketa Colosseum in Dainer, Benedict’s men looked assured as they saw off a difficult first half against Halholzer United, before taking the lead through a memorable Maas Fox dribble through two defenders and subsequent finish. Charles Hunter wrapped the result up late on when he charged in a Watson cross, ensuring that Directus became the second Euran team to win the Champions Cup. They then put the cherry on top for their season by winning the Super Cup. Otherwise it was an unimpressive UICA cycle for Eura with Bastion going out in the round of sixteen of the Globe Cup, and the other big teams going out earlier. However the Silver League title winners Unioneers unexpectedly got all the way to the SBCC semi-finals before going out on penalties, ahead of their first top flight season in decades.

This had all been preceded by a captivating Season 27 of Euraleague. As mentioned previously, Directus won the title again, and once again it was the same players who formed the core of the league champions; Endre, Gilbert, Watson, Hunter, Mitchell, Fox, Valdez, with help from others. It was a much closer title race this time though, with the eventual winners only pulling clear in the last few weeks after they saw off Spartangrad 3-2 in a crucial game. Fox had been the hero with a late goal that day and he was again in the Reach Derby on the final day of the season, when he created two goals, scored by Valdez and Millson, to beat Falourr 2-0. Spartangrad had emerged as late challengers as they so often seem to do, but unusually their season was also marked by remarkable defensive discipline. Unusual because of how they are usually so reckless going forward, and unusual because their best defender, Churchilli, dropped off a cliff in quality and pace at the World Cup after the season.

They were powered by the combined goals of Victor Larsen and talented young Apoxian signing Lucas Palmisano, while another new signing - Jacen Xasan – thrived out on the right wing in place of Mike Adams. Central to their defensive solidity were centreback Bryan Butler, left back James Fowey, and the exceptional goalkeeping of new Valladares number one Alexander Roudet. Unfortunately they could not sustain their challenge, and costly late season defeats against Blackfields and Usmer cost them big points. Ulsa had been top for much of the middle of the season and posed the biggest threat to Directus for long periods, and they lost the least games. New signings Sebastian Kaur and Nemanja Petrovic proved themselves while their midfield thrived, but ultimately they lost momentum towards the end of the season and went on a costly five game winless run. Their reliance on Craig Sinclair for goals in light of Jakob Lindesfarne being the only striker ultimately doomed their title chances. Bastion were much happier below them in 4th, continuing their revival and boosting their credentials to once again be the biggest club in the country. Jones, Underwood, Ritter, new signing Ajax, Omaexevarria and others all excelled in what was a solid season.

Revolutionaries had little to cheer about in 5th as they face a decline eerily similar to that of Ulsa not so long ago. Bonaventura looked much more comfortable in defence this season but otherwise the back line were poor in front of the unfortunate Ben Prince; whatever happened to Niels Kruse in the last two years, some ask, though one might ask that about the Polarians as a whole. Michael Sarado was a potent goalscoring threat as expected but with Frank Rozenthal smashing in 23 league goals, the need to spend money on an ageing striker like Sarado rather than much needed depth in midfield and defence was perplexing. Brigham’s situation may be even direr. They were surely punching above their weight in the last few years, not least when they won the league. However it seems that league win was the peak of most of their player’s careers. Although they finished a solid sixth and secured Globe Cup football, they remained utterly dependent on David Pope holding the backline together and Anaximander’s goalkeeping, while Abt, Cotrell and Gruber all had hit and miss seasons. The creative and goalscoring potential of Huele, Oscar Coltrane and Golden Boot winning forward Dominik Mauer kept them afloat. If Brigham slide any further, Mauer may well look elsewhere in light of Pasarga’s World Cup implosion.

Mauer’s team narrowly beat Holdenberg to the final UICA qualification place in heartbreaking fashion, beating Holdenberg’s rivals City suspiciously easy, 6-1, on the final day of the season. This led to quite a post-match furore and the Holdenberg manager will now face a stadium ban of six games for some rather tasty comments, while City were exonerated. Below them, rather predictably, were Lajuno and Falourr, with both clubs fans voicing their discontent at the lacklustre spending on the part of both sides despite having healthy cash reserves built by selling player’s. This was especially the case for Lajuno. Farrenton Athletic struggled in 10th despite several good signings, while Blackfields exceeded expectations to finish 11th as the surprise package of the season, largely thanks to the effort of talented young midfielders Pablo Krant and Tom Robson, and loanee striker Dean Sharp. They were joined in lower mid table by Workers Union, Oakstone and Holdenberg City who all survived comfortably, while Usmer rallied to a late 15th place finish.

The relegation battle was a tense one; early in the season it seemed that EFS were never going to survive while Old Boys Club might, despite recent departures. However the OBC quickly found themselves shedding goals and sinking like a stone into the Silver League. For a while it appeared Real Oakwood would follow them, but late in the season Hornchurch and Honeybadgers – both on deaths door with awful squads – slipped below them. Honeybadgers were only saved by a run of four wins in six towards the end of the season, largely thanks to their brilliant goalkeeper Jeffrey Douglas. Real Oakwood looked set to go down after all but instead it was Hornchurch who departed on goal difference after a humiliatingly poor season, which much resembled their previous relegation some years ago. In the National Cup the large sides dominated as all of the top six made the last eight, but it was Brigham who triumphed thanks to the predictable pairing of Mauer and Huele, beating Revolutionaries 2-1. It would prove to be a welcome compensation for their league slide.

Key transfers, retirements and a Gold League preview ahead of Season 28

Notable Transfers

Kris Campbell (28, ST, Eura) – Ma Alameome to Ulsa for £37m
Ryan King (34, AM, Eura) – Ulsa to Oakstone for £1m

Ulsa have responded to their lack of goals hurting their title chances by becoming true adherents of the saying “go big or go home”. Having seen the impact Domink Mauer and Frank Rozenthal have had on Directus and Revolutionaries in recent years, they have decided simply to blow the opposition out of the water with one well planned, well co-ordinated swoop for arguably the world’s best out and out striker. It still seems rather surreal that a young forward who was unimpressive at U21 level and played all the way over in Farfadillis could be so devastating in front of goal for Eura, especially leading them to a World Cup win in doing so. Now his much speculated move to play in the motherland for the first time has come true, and the other big teams must be wondering why they didn’t make the first move. Ulsa will surely now be major title contenders, and the prospect of Sinclair combining with Campbell is eye watering. This move was funded by last season’s sales, and also the offloading of Ryan King and his big paycheque.

The second biggest transfer of the window is the arrival of Douglas, who almost single handledly kept Honeybadgers up last season with the exception maybe of Alex Wyatt, though remarkably he was not considered for the Goalkeeper of the Season award. The signing of this wonderful prospect is a statement of intent from Bastion, who are expected to offload goalkeeper Tyler Coleman if Douglas proves a worthy first choice. They have also boosted their backline with the purchase of Pierce Williams from relegated Hornchurch, their only real quality experienced player, and a potential Euran international. Finally they have purchased Jeremy Benedict for a rather cheap £1.4m, especially after he was Old Boys Club’s only real threat last season. Robert Morgan leaves as part of the ongoing clearing out of driftwood from the squad. Some fans will wonder why Bastion are buying from clubs in the bottom five, but make no mistake, these are good signings.

In an unlikely twist, two players have arrived from one Guayabal club, but going in two very different directions. Meyson Salume is a big prospect in the Esportivan nation and Revolutionaries, clearly keen to establish their next generation of defensive talent after recent blunders, have spent a hefty fee on acquiring his services for the foreseeable future. His former teammate Tomas Rincon is a man of more modest talents, a serviceable enough striker in his homeland’s league who wanted to try something new. Subsequently he’s ended up at newly promoted, who will hope he can provide them with the goals that will keep them in the Gold League. They aim to feed him with another new signing, Jim Stokes of Callodown.

Revolutionaries are not the only team spending risky sums of money on young right backs. Ethan Cook is the next big thing in Eura, a defender in the mould of Nick Feeney. Such claims are of course ambitious given just how good both Feeney and his successor Churchilli were in their prime, but Cook has looked the real deal so far at Oakstone. Now he will play for Directus, who are looking to win the title for the third time on the trot after a decade long drought previously. They have also signed another Guayabalese fullback, the much cheaper Sol Myren from Deportivo El Roblar, as well as acquiring promising young Electrumite centreback Alan Moore on a free. A new dawn for Directus? We’ll see.

Santo Zito (21, LW, Sameba) – Southstone (Sameba) to WEA for £7.3m

WEA have ambitiously invested in one big signing to keep themselves up after getting promoted, beating some bigger clubs to the signing of Sameban winger Santo Zito. He’s pricey at £7.3m, but may score the goals needed to ensure they will be playing Gold League football next season.

Lajuno’s fans wanted them to spend, and now they are. After accumulating fees such as the extortionate one they got for Isaac Holt last season, they finally have something in the bank to spend. Although they possibly didn’t get all of their targets this summer, these are a very good start. Alex Wyatt is one of the best young players in the country and is probably worth the £6.8m pricetag for his resale value alone. Joining Jeffrey Douglas in seeking pastures new, Wyatt has a lot to prove and has to do so quickly for the Yellows. He is joined at Lajuno by no nonsense Brenecian defender Rostyn Bradden, a rock hard defensive juggernaut potentially of Grant Davis character. Raymond del Ray has also been signed from relegated Old Boys Club due to his potential, a risky move given that he was part of a defence that shipped 100 goals last season, though he was injured for most of the season. Lajuno completed their shopping spree of relegated and lower in the table players by snapping up Itorian goalkeeper Jake Hyde from Hornchurch, presumably as a short term replacement for Roman Ayebler who is now 35.

Massimo Dini (29, CB, Sameba) – Farrenton Athletic to Honeybadgers for £5m

This is one of the stranger transfers this summer. Dini’s stock isn’t brilliant at the moment but moving from Farrenton to Honeybadgers is a major step down, and £5m is possibly underselling – are Farrenton seeing something bad in him that we don’t? It’s a bit of a coup for Honeybadgers, but it doesn’t address the lack of a goalscorer that will see them fighting relegation this season.

Gael Tobin (21, CAM, Eura) – Hornchurch to Falourr for £4.5m
Anthony Ho (21, CM, Electrum) – Free agent to Falourr

Falourr hope to boost themselves up the table by filling the gap left by Charles Hunter. Their solution is Gael Tobin, an exciting attacking midfield prospect from Hornchurch. Whether or not he has the defensive capability to make up for Hunter’s absence is questionable. They’ve also landed another central midfielder, a free signing from Electrum, Anthony Ho.

Dan Ainsley (21, CM, Eura) – Old Boys Club to Brigham for £4m

Ainsley is the last in the aforementioned string of young, promising Euran midfielders to leave down on their luck clubs this summer. Ainsley could have gone to Bastion with Jeremy Benedict but instead chose to go to Brigham, where it is hoped he can immediately fill a hole that is being left by the ageing Cotrell and Gruber.

Allejo (25, AM/CF, Unified Sunrise Islands) – Jacaredareia (Dainer) to Blackfields on a free transfer

Last season the signing of Dean Sharp on loan for Blackfield played a big role in their survival and mid table finish. This season the signing of Allejo could be key. In fact it might just be the best value signing of the window. Allejo is a talented USI international arguably yet to hit his prime, who for some unexplainable reason was rotting away in Dainer. Now he has the opportunity to prove himself in a top league, and could be the missing piece of the puzzle up front for Blackfields.

Notable Retirements

Euraleague has been hit by a series of notable retirements this summer. It’s difficult to say which are the most important, but here’s a breakdown of the big names to hang up their boots in what seems to be a big year for going out on a high in the eyes of many.

Ildar Patrelyak (35, ST, Mytannion, Holdenberg City)
Miroslav Janda (37, LW, Mytannion, Old Boys Club)

One of the great oddities of the much maligned downfall of Mytanar football as the nation collapsed is how the Mytanar expats in Eura continued to thrive. Navratil, Istomin and others did so well in Euraleague, but sadly that generation is slowly fading, and with it the last embers of Mytannion’s brief and bright role in world football. Typically, both of the Mytanar greats to retire this season were controversial personalities. Ildar Patrelyak has called it a day even though he was possibly fit enough to play until 40; the maverick striker helped Directus achieve much during his time there, and he enjoyed a late career renaissance with Holdenberg City. Miroslav Janda is the man AFC Mayville fans loved to hate after he abandoned them for arch rivals Mayville Town, before helping punish them on the pitch. He also happens to have been one of Euraleague’s trickiest wingers for many years, scoring plenty of goals and playing for several clubs including Bastion. Both players will be missed.

Morten Salo (37, CB, Polar Islandstates)

Morten Salo was a model defender who a generation of young Polarian centrebacks took inspiration from. Despite the woes of his homeland’s formerly dominant footballing dynasty, Salo himself cannot take the blame. He had a long and successful, World Cup winning career with Polar Islandstates, and won several pieces of silverware with Revolutionaries as part of a formidable back line.

Liam Allen (35, CF, Eura, Revolutionares)
Jordan Jarvis (36, ST, Eura, Lajuno)

Allen was a bit of a late bloomer, not making his big move to Revolutionaries until he was 26, from Brigham who were mid-table at the time. A classy player with great technical ability and energy, he was an unexpected success for Revolutionaries and loyal to a fault. He also enjoyed a brief but successful international career, scoring 25 goals in 61 appearances. This was very creditable given how many of them were off the bench. Jordan Jarvis was very much a contemporary of Allen, coming from a similar background and having similar scoring success in Euraleague. His path was slightly different in that his briefing international career was a forgettable failure, but he had a better scoring record on the domestic scene. However, he never shared the silverware that Allen did, and may regret having not gone for a big money deal in his prime.

Gareth Dawkins (37, RB, Eura, Farrenton Athletic)

Dawkins was a moderately successful Euran international, who was destined for big things but never quite broke through the dominance of Weylon Churchilli. However he did win plenty of silverware with Ulsa and enjoyed a long, successful career in the top flight.

FIRST ROUND - REGULAR SEASON

Thirty-two teams from the Unified Sunrise Islands play each team of the league twice, once home and once away. Wins are worth three points, Draws are worth one point. On the event of tied points, the following criteria will serve as tiebreakers: goal difference, goals for, head-to-head wins, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals for and wins. The bottom four teams are relegated to the division under their original division on the pyramid, exception being for the Division G2. Additionally, the top half of the Sunrisian Championship - Division A qualify to the playoffs. Division A's regular champion qualifies to the Champions' Cup.

Busbee is known in its region (the United States of Mancunia) for its vigorously competitive six-team top flight football league. The timing of this season's opening was especially significant given that the Busbeean Football Association, led by Coach Renley Giggs, has just announced its provisional 20-man squad for the forthcoming 1st Annual Mancunian Open, to be hosted in Rooks Rest.

Here is what you need to know from Round 1 of thr :
World-famous outfit Busbee United got off to a shocker when visiting Riley Town beat them 6-2.
Fresh from his call-up to the national team, midfield general Felix Gustan ran the show for Riley Town, dominating a United team that never really seemed to get going.

Young Jackson Ambrose, 19-year-old youth product from Riley Town, was the man of the match, securing a brace on his full debut.

Elsewhere, there were no real surprises as strong home teams Cleatuston FC and New Ridgfordshire both hung on for 1-0 wins.

The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one.

For this seasons Tropical Trophy, The V-League Stellar Division and Vilitan Cup Champions (Jungle Strike FC) were invited to face off against the defending Stellar Division Runners-Up (Turoki United). It was the 5th time in seven seasons that the Tropical Trophy was contested between the two sides.

Vilitan/Turorian Dual National referee Nuliko Meteorik officiated the Tropical Trophy for the eleventh consecutive season.

:: The Match

For the 8th consecutive season, a team from Turoki City was represented in the Tropical Trophy, and for the 7th time in those eight seasons, that team was Turoki United.

In fact, the Tropical Trophy was becoming more of a 'Turoki v. Main Island' affair - or even more specifically, the annual pre-season warm up match between Turoki United and Jungle Strike FC. Jungle Strike FC were making their 5th consecutive Tropical Trophy appearance and 19th appearance in the past 24 seasons. It was the third straight Tropical Trophy contested between Jungle Strike FC and Turoki United, just the second time in recorded history where the Tropical Trophy was a rematch for three consecutive seasons. The last time was following Season 5, 6 & 7 when Strike took two of three trophies over the Yeaddin Owls - the first of which was amazingly Strike's first ever domestic silverware.

There was just one name on each side that was unfamiliar from the previous season. For Strike FC, young attacker Linvoi Warazil took their place in the lineup in the place vacated by Friekder Dandalleion. For Turoki United, midfielder Brett Kwanten was making their Tropical Trophy debut.

Having been defeated the season prior, Turoki United made it clear early that they were not going to be pushovers on the pitch. Unfortunately, their early aggressiveness also earned star defender Kam Amizic a place in Meteorik's notebook, being cautioned for the rough challenge on Ylimaiina just 12 minutes in.

The aggressiveness would eventually pay off however, and specifically Amizic's continued pressure on the Vilitan star. Just 10 minutes after being cautioned for his play in marking Ylimaiina, Amizic once again took down the Jungle Cats starter who fell hard to the pitch. This time, Meteorik indicated that it was a good challenge, all ball but Ylimaiina didn't feel the same way and wanted Amizic sent off. Ylimaiina's anger boiled over, he lunged at Amizic but the Turoki United defender evasively dodged the maneuver and Ylimaiina's follow through struck the referee Nuliko Meteorik. The Vilitan/Turorian dual national wasted no time in displaying the red card to Ylimaiina, relegating Strike to finishing the match with 10 players.

From that point the match was layed out on a platter for Turoki United, who began to dominate the play and reverted to a classical tactic from the Mumau Atla-Siioai era, scoring the goal early in the second half then sitting back on the ball, maintainin possession and not letting the Venom a way back into the match.

When the final whistle sounded, Turoki United had secured their 4th ever Tropical Trophy and secured their place along side Strike in the 'team of the era' reconing, officially bypassing even ground-sharing rivals Turoki Tide in number of trophies won during the modern era of the Vilitan League.

Tivali Ring Stadium - Alikki-Corra, Vilita (87,000 Capacity)
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchup. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

**First Season in Stellar Division

THROUGH MID-SEASON:

There were a slew of new faces around the Stellar Division for Season 49, as well as old faces in new places as the transfer market was hot during the offseason.

Declasse Champions Lonngeylin Coast indicated from the word go that they were just competing for survival when they snapped up attackers Sipke Tarala from Makosile and Lboaisa Akarelm from Cednia Beach; midfielder Yitizo Mpala'a from Eastal Lunar, as well as bringing in Chromatika National Team star Luuk Aart who reportedly wanted out of his home country for personal reasons. Perhaps the biggest signing for Lonngeylin Coast, however, was that of Marine Coast United and Vilita National Team netminder Cilamara Issah.

Issah, who had been incredibly loyal to his home town club throughout his entire career despite their lack of on field success, finally got bit by the bug. Understanding that playing the Declasse was hurting his chances at starting for the National Team, as well as the competitive drive to want to compete at the highest level, Issah finally agreed a transfer from his home town club to the closest geographical location, Lonngeylin. Of course, Marine Coast through-and-through, Issah would never in a million years have joined rivals Strike FC. In true "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" fashion, Issah quipped after signing that he was glad to have joined a club that hated Strike FC just as much as he did, and that it was one of the deciding factors that convinced him the move was right.

Other big name acquisitions included the Turoki Tide's signing of Royal Kingdom of Quebec National Team goalkeeper Ondrej Cech and Makosile's addition of defender Lorne Dunford.

The surprise of the first half, however, was none other than Colonial Sile. Despite being quiet during the transfer window, Colonial, led by Farfadudite attacker Elexhe Nofzaleine posted an impressive 6-1-0 record at home - one of just two clubs, Makosile being the other, who were unbeaten at home during the first half of the season ensuring that no Sile-based club would lose a game in Sile throughout the first 13 games. Ironically, however, Makosile also happened to be the only club to be winless at home in the first half, recording six home draws.

No one could blame Colonial supporters for not being excited, however. Their club had led the table at the mid way point in the season many times before, stayed inactive in the transfer market then fallen apart in the second half. Looking to heed off those concerns, Colonial Sile management made a big splash in luring the soon-to-be out of contract Turorian National Team goalkeeper G. Q. Disterfred II away from Cednia Beach to bolster their odds of maintaining their place atop the table in the second half.

Rivalry Roundup ::
Turoki Tilt: With Turoki Isle being relegated at the conclusion of Season 48, the Turorki tilt was now a two-team affair with both Turoki Tide and Turoki United contesting from one arena, the Turoki Community Complex - making the mathematics to decide the season winner far more straightforward. As "home side" on the day, Turoki Tide made the most of their lone scoring chance and defeated Turoki United 1-0 in the first of two meetings between the sides.

Battle of Turori: Cednia Beach AFC got their season off to the best possible start by traveling to the Iobabao Legendary Park and downing their rivals Mliona-Lpaka 3-1 thanks to Schottian Heron Crew's first goal for the club, a winner from Kryhatta Calanndi and a "lets rub it in and twist" goal in the 85th minute from Nubara Moafalia.

Lonngeylin Derby: With their deep run to the semi-finals of the UICA Champions Cup, Jungle Strike FC were looking tired and vulnerable during their opening matches of the 49th V-League Season. Rivals Lonngeylin Coast, newly promoted as champions of the Declasse, saw that as an opportunity to come into the Lonngeylin Coliseum and steal points from the defending champions - which is just what they did with a 2-2 draw.

Sile Showdown: Things at the Colonial Field ended in a drab 0-0 draw, with everyone hoping for a more exciting return fixture at the Track Venture Field. It would be the only home fixture of the first half of the season that Colonial Sile failed to win.

Matchday 22 itself was an uneventful matchday that saw only 6 goals scored across the 7 games played. The most surprising result was Eastal Lunar's missed opportunity against Alikki-Corra that saw the capital club jump out of the relegation zone, one point ahead of the Yeaddin Owls.

Looking to repeat as champions, Jungle Strike FC's progress was thwarted by a goalless draw at Turoki United, Strike's 12th draw of the season, a modern era record for the Lonngeylin side.

On Matchday 23, the gap remained the same but the players involved changed as Eastal Lunar survived a 7-goal thriller at Lunar Park to leapfrog into the second position over Cednia Beach. Eastal Lunar got a pair of goals from Purapal Eskiiy to help take a 4-1 lead at the half but Cednia Beach roared back in the second half with a rally that just fell short. Lunar were 4 points back after the Tide were held by Inland Peaks.

Matchday 24 would set up a renewed derby clash between Lonngeylin Coast and Jungle Strike FC with the Venom on the outside looking in as far as UICA Champions Cup places were concerned, while their rivals, Lonngeylin Coast, were sitting just 2 points ahead and in the Champions Cup places. Strike also needed to win to keep their faint hopes of defending the Stellar Division title alive as they entered the game 8 points off the top with just 9 to play for.

In the end, a goalless draw would end Strike FC's title hopes and put their Champions Cup qualification in doubt, as well as their streak of finishing in the top 2 of the standings which stretched all the way back to Season 35.

Things would get even tighter at the top, however, as the Turoki Tide were stunned at the Lirai Asku Castle by a Yeaddin Owls side fighting for their Stellar Division status and Eastal Lunar were downed by Turoki United who were also chasing their place in the Champions Cup while keeping their faint title aspirations ongoing.

The stage was set on the penultimate matchday with the Turoki Tide at home in front of their fans hosting strugglers Rammsissil and scoreboard watching throughout the day as their ground-sharing rivals Turoki United traveled to the Cednia Beach Centre to take on the Tide's primary championship rivals.

Jay-jay Jabez scored on the quarter hour mark to give the Tide one foot in the championship door but it remained to be seen what the result would be in Cednia Beach. Any points dropped for the Coconuts would be enough to secure the Tide's first Stellar Division title in 14 seasons. It was a rare day when the fans of the Tide were pulling for the rival Turoki United Silvers.

When the full time whistle blew in Turoki, fans waited patiently for confirmation, and then it came. The Silvers had held the Coconuts in Cednia Beach. Turoki Tide were Champions.

Colonial Sile's typical second-half collapse was all but complete once again as they dropped a 3-1 result to the Yeaddin Owls, saving the Owls season and condemning both Alikki-Corra and Jlinal Cove to the drop, but also dropping the Stellar Divisions mid-season leaders out of the UICA qualifying places.

Strike's surprise draw to Inland Peaks would set the clubs all-time record for draws in a season at 14 - ensuring that the Venom would have finished the season drawing more than half their matches - almost certainly the key to their failure to repeat as champions, and also ensuring that their streak of top 2 finishes would end at a record 14 - as would their record of consecutive appearances in the UICA Champions Cup as the tournaments defending Semi-Finalists could finish no higher than 5th with victory on the final matchday.

THE DECISIVE FINISH:

While the title was already settled, there was still plenty to play for on the final matchday with Turoki United eying a place in the UICA Champions Cup and Jungle Strike FC just trying to hang on to the final spot in the UICA Globe Cup.

Just two places were assured to a Vilitan club in the globe cup from the table and those places, 5th and 6th, were hotly contested. Strike's fate would go through the Lirai Asku Castle where the red-hot Yeaddin Owls had the pressure of relegation lifted off them at the conclusion of Matchday 25. Nili Ylimaiina had no desire to go without UICA competition during the offseason, however, and got Strike on the board just 4 minutes in.

There was a scare for the Venom in the second half when Tarek Edgeli fouled Tenziki Kulakao as the young Vilitan was trying to rise to meet a corner kick. Edgeli was carded for the offense - his second of the match and sent off. The resulting penalty, however, was saved by Schiavone netminder Viliaka O'Connor who punched his fists on the ground then in the air understanding the importance of that save. The scoreline would remain unchanged from that point forward ensuring Strike would at least qualify for the UICA Globe Cup, and also allow the Venom to climb back into the Top 5 after Turoki United were held goalless by Alikki-Corra meaning the top 4 in the UICA Champions Cup places were safe.

The most interesting match of the day, however, was certainly the one at Lonngeylin Park where Eastal Lunar and Lonngeylin Coast clashed with the winner potentially finishing runners-up, an all time-highest placement for either club should they achieve it. Tlikao Muratai converted a penalty in the 18th minute to give the home side a lead which they would never relinquish. The 3-1 victory coupled with Cednia Beach's defeat to Makosile at the Track Venture Field as a result of Lorne Dunford's exquisite 3rd minute volley meant that Lonngeylin Coast had completed one of the most improbable turn arounds in Vilitan League history, from Declasse Champions in Season 48 to Stellar Division Runners Up in Season 49. - Narrowly finishing just 2 points away from becoming the first team in history to win the Declasse and Stellar division in back to back seasons.

Turoki Tri-tilt: 1st Half (Turoki Tide 1-0 Turoki United)
With real title aspirations developing, the Turoki Tide were now the designated away team at the Turoki Community Complex on Matchday 20. Just as the Tide had done in the first half, however, the Silvers took advantage of the stadium's signage and colors and ran out 1-0 winners, denying the Tide the opportunity to pull away as leaders. Although the season series ended in a draw, their placement in the final table would be more than enough gratification for the Tide.

Battle of Turori: 1st Half (Mliona-Lpaka 1-3 Cednia Beach)
Cednia Beach AFC midfielder Nubara Moafalia scored twice at the Cednia Beach Center in the first of two Turorian derby's of the season. Unfortunately for Moafalia, his side were defeated 2-1 by rivals Mliona-Lpaka as Moafalia's 88th minute goal was put in his own net while defending a corner kick, late drama that would go down in the lore of the Battle of Turori. Cednia Beach would still claim the Battle of Turori on goals differential, but it would be another story shortly after when the two sides met in the Vilitan Cup.

Lonngeylin Derby: 1st Half (Jungle Strike FC 2-2 Lonngeylin Coast)
While the first meeting between the two Lonngeylin clubs was a meeting between the defending champions of the two tiers of the Vilitan League System, the tone in the reverse fixture at Lonngeylin Park was quite different. Lonngeylin Coast and Strike FC were not just rivals separated by time and space in the league table - they were rivals contesting for their placement in the league table - Lonngeylin Coast occupying a Champions Cup place and Jungle Strike FC wanting it. Strike was never able to recover from the toll of their deep Champions Cup run, however, and the Lonngeylin Derby consisted of another draw - this one goalless - to add to their all-time record draw-haul.

Sile Showdown: 1st Half (Colonial Sile 0-0 Makosile)
While Strike FC were setting club records for the amount of draws in the Season, Makosile were setting national records. Their 0-0 draw at the Track Venture Field that incited media to rename the Sile Showdown to the "Sile Snoozefest" after the clubs went 180 minutes without so much as a goal was the 15th of the season, tying the modern record. They would break form in the final four matches, however, not recording any additional draws to lay claim to the record on their own.

Vilitan Cup Final:

With defending champions Jungle Strike FC having been stunned in the Round of 16 by Rammsissil, the door was left wide open for the field to take aim at the Vilitan Cup trophy. Dozens of league clubs set their sights on what would be their first top level Silverware - clubs like the Ramms, Lonngeylin City and Jlinal Cove.

But there was another club standing in their way. One by one, Tropicorp Lower League side Tivali United survived - fighting - clawing their way to the top. After narrowly escaping a pod which included Vilitan giants Jungle Strike FC, Tivali United escaped with a Penalty Shootout triumph over Declasse side Kiiara-Torra to advance to the Quarter-Final stage for the first time in the modern era.

In the Quarter Finals, they seemed on their way out when the Ramms - eyeing their first major silverware, took the early 1-0 lead after the first match. Tivali United, however, just wouldn't go away, taking down the Ramms and forcing a Penalty Shootout - where they triumphed once again. Somehow, just four teams remained in the Vilitan Cup and one of them was Tivali United.

It wasn't the first time Tivali United had found themselves in this situation. The non-league side had an equally improbably run during Season 13. None of their matches that season required Penalty Kicks, and they were eventually eliminated by Marine Coast United in the Semi Finals. But never since. Even during their brief spell as a league club; Tivali United were part of the Declasse Class of the Modern Era, joining the Declasse for Season 24 and finishing in 3rd place - just once spot away from the Stellar Division - on two separate occasions during their 10 season stay in the League before being relegated following season 35 and never making the climb back up.

Squared off against the Declasse divisions all time winningest club, Jlinal Cove FC in the Semi-Finals, both clubs could smell something special in the air. Both knew silverware was far from a foregone conclusion, however, with the other semi-final fixture featuring the two Turorian powerhouses, Cednia Beach AFC and Mliona-Lpaka.

After a goalless first leg at Tivali Park, things got off to a fast start for Jlinal Cove who scored through Tingus Mngomeni to take one step into the Tivali-Ring Stadium. It all went south for the Stellar Division side 20 minutes from time, however, reduced to ten men they conceded the equalizer and Tivali United clawed right back into it once again. It was as if it were a foregone conclusion. When the full time whistle blew, the confident Tivali United players stepped up, one by one, converting penalty kicks just as they had done all competition long. One of the most incredible Cup runs of all time, with barely a win to their name, the Tropicorp Lower League side celebrated together as the Jlinal Cove players walked off the pitch with head in hands.

Little Tivali United were going to play in the big stadium down the road, the Tivali Ring Stadium, for the first time in their history. Their opponents: Mliona-Lpaka. The Turorian giants would be looking for their 3rd Cup title. Mliona-Lpaka had never lost a Cup Final and having not tasted the champagne of victory in any competition for nearly 10 seasons, they weren't interested in losing this one to a Non-League side... a Tropicorp Lower League side.

One could also argue that the path to the final was rather tame for Tivali United. While they did oust some Stellar Division clubs along the way, their toughest opposition came in the form of Rammsissil who finished the Stellar Division season deeply mired in a battle against relegation, finishing in 11th place. There was very little expectation that the Non-Leaguers would be able to keep it close with Mliona-Lpaka, a top half club with perennial UICA competition.

The names on the team sheet said it all. Draugwe Nororon. Tripate Falcon. Jirjii Januaa. Inamara Altariiz. The international quality on the Mliona-Lpaka squad was undeniable. But they walked out of the tunnel side by side - as equals with the Non-Leaguers from down the road, the most improbable finalists in the history of the Vilitan Cup, Tivali United.

It was clear that many of the locals had shown up in support of the 'club down the road'. The cheers for the Tivali United team were loud. Although they didn't sell much merchandise to speak of, neutral fans tossed on a grey shirt - some orange, and enterprising merchants had tossed scarves and shirts together to commemorate the day - the greatest day for the little club.

Within 30 minutes, however, things were starting to look more promising. Majid Jedidi had already come off the field having picked up an injury, then, a short time later, Kiliko Riazen - who had been nursing a hamstring injury, lay on the pitch and made the signal that he could not go on. Mliona-Lpaka's star power was falling, one by one, and they still hadn't scored a goal.

Tivali United had their first big moment in the 32nd minute forcing Draugwe Nororon into a big save after a well placed cross was met with a powerful header.

Just when it seemed that Tivali United would make it to the half, Mliona-Lpaka opened the scoring through reserve player Ceri Muchiiwa who came on as a substitute in place of the injured Riazen. Muchiiwa's fresh legs allowed him to dribble past three Tivali United defenders before unleashing a fierce left-footed strike that found the back of the net.

The match became hotly contested and both teams found themselves in the referee's book by the hour mark. The foul by Jirijii Januaa was an especially bad one due to its location just outside the box, allowing Tivali United to set up the chance for a comeback against the run of play.

The motivated non-leaguers, knowing that this could be their last chance to climb back into the match, executed a training ground maneuver to perfection, with a hard pass away from the way that forced Nororon to quickly re-position before the strike back across the face of goal to where Nororon had just come from, completely wrong footing the Vanorian netminder and finding the back of the net to the stunned enthusiasm of the crowd.

From that point the tactics changed as expected. Tivali United weren't trying to press forward - they were trying to hold up the play and survive until Penalties. They made the expected substitutions to slow down the match and tried to keep Mliona-Lpaka only to low probability chances, which they were successful in doing. The regulation time ended improbably with the scoreline level at 1-1.

Tivali United were doing a good job keeping the match physical and keeping Mliona-Lpaka from using their skills effectively, surviving to the halfway point in extra time and just 15 minutes from the promise land.

Mliona-Lpaka had it all set up in the 110th minute when Inamari Altariiz found Muchiiwa but the inexperienced substitute blasted a golden opportunity over the bar much to the despair of his Turori-based teammates.

The slow, physical play from Tivali United continued and the urgency increased for Mliona-Lpaka. As the Full Time approached, the experienced Inamari Altariiz attempted to spearhead one final attacking push. Altariiz found another substitute, Regii Idemudia who turned around the Tivali United defender who used his body and knocked Idemudia to the ground. The referee called a foul and Linkat Cjinder stood over the ball with the Vilitan Cup on the line. Cjinder fired a bullet that deflected off the wall but prevented from going out of play. Tivali United sprinted up the field with the clock showing 120 as Mliona-Lpaka tried to recover. Ultimately, they did and as the ball was cleared out of play, the Full-Time whistle was blown. Incredibly, unimaginably, historically. Tivali United had survived once again.

The question on everyone's mind - could Tivali United do the improbable? Could they escape one more time? Claw their way to a draw then win it in Penalties like that had done all tournament long?

Inamara Altariiz stepped up first to get things rolling for Mliona-Lpaka but Tivali United, the penalty experts, answered the mail and things were all square after the first round.

The march of international talent continued for Mliona-Lpaka with Jirijii Januaa who scored for the Turorians who took a 2-1 lead after an uncharacteristic miss by the Tivali United midfielder.

But the lead wouldn't last long. Linkat Cjinder blasted over as Tivali United made amends leveling the scoreline again at 2-2 after three rounds.

Vilitan International Tripate Falcon stepped up and scored to put the pressure back on Tivali United, but for the non-league side, it was just another day at the office. Their fourth straight round going to Penalty Kicks, they calmly kept the scoreline level turning the Vilitan Cup into a true sudden death shootout. As Mliona-Lpaka converted their fourth of the shootout, there had to be pressure. If Tivali United didn't answer now, it would be over. The dream run would come to an end. Wide.

So close, yet so far for Tivali United who nearly claimed the Vilitan Cup without winning a fixture outright. Mliona-Lpaka were the first to out-last them and denied the Vilitan Cup its first non-league winners.

For the Turorians, however, they didn't care who their opponents were. They were Vilitan Cup Champions.

Tivali United proved that their improbable Vilitan Cup run was no fluke, topping the Tropicorp Lower League table and giving them prime position for a second chance at the Declasse Division if they could survive the Tropicorp Cup.

On the outside looking in were Nusira Lionta who improved one place from last season, finishing in 5th place, level on points and goal differential with Terrarokka United. Last seasons runners up Jaguar Moreda who missed out on Qualification were a disappointing package in 20th.

Home of the Vilitan Stellar Division champions, Jungle Strike FC, Lonngeylin Coliseum is the biggest sporting arena in the Vilitan Cove and was chosen exactly for this purpose. Not so much 'butts in seats' - because almost one-third of the estimated attendees would be standing on the Vilitan hillside, but the capacity to hold large volumes was just one of the perks to holding the match in Lonngeylin.

One of the oldest yet most expansive stadiums in Vilita, the stadium has undergone several renovations, name changes and expansions in its long history, which included being a knockout venue for the World Cup 17 and 31 finals. Most notably, the seated sections of the Coliseum went through a complete overhaul between League Seasons 25-35 where sections were closed incrementally for upgrades. The Coliseum is known for its unique hillside accommodation which enhances one of the most impressive match atmospheres in the region.

Most famously, however, the Lonngeylin Coliseum was the venue for the World Cup 59 final that pitted The Babbage Islands against Aguazul. It was an epic championship final with the two sides fighting to a goalless draw after extra time before Aguazul triumphed in the shootout for their historic third consecutive World Cup title. The facilities at the Lonngeylin Coliseum had been upgraded over the year to handle the over-capacity crowd and extended match timeline. The venue was also selected for the Vilitan half of the "Battle of Turori" - when Vilita & Turori were drawn against each other during World Cup 64 Qualifying.

Typically, only the Jungle Strike FC or Vilita National Team 'home' fans are allowed in the south and east areas, which include both hillside seating and open hillside that can accommodate an approximately 30,000 additional fans beyond the seated capacity - depending on how far away from the stadium they wish to prop themselves. Away fans are always seated in the west grandstand. The hosting of a neutral tournament event at the arena will allow visiting fans to experience 'home' accomodations for the first time.

The Lonngeylin Coliseum is a former UICA host site, having previously successfully hosted the 47th UICA Champions Cup Final.

Turori (TUR) final site bids

The Eels Park arena in "Eelandii" - A purpose-created hybrid city located between the capital of Almintora and the center of sport in Cednia, was opened for the World Cup 63 Finals hosted in Turori as well as Aguazul. The Arena has since hosted matches during the 26th Di Bradini Cup and due to its moderate size is one of the most atmospheric venues in all of Turori. Turorian National Team matches not being held in Cednia have also been held at Eels Park instead of Almintora National Stadium.

Already the new center for sport in Turori, the purpose built village of Eelandii also features a Grand Prix racing course home to Vilita & Turori Motorsports Research & Development department, an Ice Hockey arena that also serves as a multi-purpose venue as well as an Eagle's Club facility. Eelandii would be a fitting host for the UICA Champions Cup final given the modern infrastructure and high density of sporting amenities in the region.

Located equidistantly between the cities of Almintora and Cednia - the two largest cities in the Island Emirate, round the clock public transportation can take guests from Eelandii to either city center. For those dedicated to the sports theme they can stay locally in Eelandii. Clubs participating in the Champions Cup final will be allowed to train ahead of the event at the Turori National Training facility located in the village of Eelandii.

Cygnus Cup: Iobabao Legendary Park (90,500 Seated)
The rising success of Mliona-Lpaka in the modern era of the Vilitan League necessitated the renovation of the old Mliona Park stadium to improve not only capacity but quality of experience as it was no longer just locals but foreign visitors and clubs travelling to Turori to visit the stadium. While some funding came from the clubs success, others came from Turorian Tourism funding to ensure visiting fans wanted to come back to Turori after their first impressions. After the renovations were complete, the stadium was renamed after former Mliona-Lpaka and Turori Eels star Kaboafo Iobabao.

Tropicorp Park is home to the Tropicorp Cup, the four team, 2 day grand-finale of the Tropicorp Lower League. The competition has served as an outstanding warmup to test the hospitality available at Tropicorp Park, and was critical in the build up to the decision to allow the finals of the Eagle's Cup V competition to take place in Tropicorp, the first major international competition of any kind to be held in Tropicoast.

The Luis Barbosa Stadium is the second oldest stadium in the nation but one of the most modern ones, and that more height is, It’s built over 3,600 meters high, the stadium is literally a fortress for the team that knows how to adapt to climate and height of the city, headquarters of Deportivo El Roblar, Fourth Division team and the alternative venue for CD FAS when they need it, this stadium has hosted already 15 games of the Guayabalense NT in which has fallen defeated only once and witnessed how La Selecta qualified for their first World Cup Final on World Cup 74, being that when the selection was playing his first round towards the World Cup, the stadium has hosted BoF 56 and games in Globe Cup and also two games of Champions' Cup Group stage hosting CD FAS in the last edition of the tournament, also a World Cup semifinal and two Cup of Harmony semifinals. You can also access by car to the base camp, located 5,100 meters high, where there is also a lake. It can be accessed by taking the Secondary Road 29 and then a $ 10 fee is paid (C$ 5- Regardless of the number of people who go), you can also climb up a secondary peak 6,710 meters high without equipment through a path of moderately difficult of hiking, which is taken in the southeast point of the lake.

The Estadio Tierra de Fuego is undoubtedly one of the most modern stadiums in the nation; with its two LED screens on both sides of the stadium and ample seating make it a favorite for the fans. Located in the city center, is a large stadium with facilities to get to there, although there tends to be exerted much pressure from fans due to the distance to the field, is a stadium where you can see large displays organized by fans with fireworks and flares, although supporters of the team of the city tend to be upper middle class, this venue hosted the World Cup 70 (Group Stage + Quarterfinals) and also a Globe Cup Final.

About The Land of Fire: Yucuaiquín

Yucuaiquín is a city located 420 kilometers north of San Salvador, inhabited by just over 500,000 people is a place characterized by its wide avenues and the Volcano "Fuego", which dominates the view and who generated the nickname city "La Tierra del Fuego" (The Land of Fire). The draw for the Youth Cup youth champions’ path will take place alongside the group stage draw. The club whose name is struck out has directly qualified for the Champions’ Cup group stage, and will therefore participate in the Champions’ Cup path instead of the youth champions’ path. Clubs marked with asterisks have qualified for an earlier stage of the Champions’ Cup, and will be transferred to the Champions’ Cup path if they advance to the Champions’ Cup group stage.

Because fewer than sixteen clubs will enter the youth champions’ path, the youth champions from the highest-ranked associations—including at least SC Oceanside (NFX), Yaton FC (TAE), and Alianza FC (SJG), should they not enter the Champions’ Cup path—will advance directly to the play-off round.

Fans of Club Di Dio took to the streets after there 2-0 win at home against Iskara Daii sealed their birth to the next round.

"Our team played some good football today." said coach Claudio Weneri after the match. "Our defence was solid and kept the clean sheet and Antonino Bonvissuto was able to steer home two goals so I am very happy.

Bonvissuto's first goal came in the 37th minute from a corner that bounced around in the box before bouncing off his shin into the net. Bonvissuto's 2nd goal required much more skill as he curled a free kick from just outside the box over the wall and into the net.

"I feel like I'm on form" Said Antonino with a smile on his face. "We need to focus now and show that we have the class to continue in this tournament." Meanwhile Goalkeeper Antonio Mercuri also had a fine performance making three saves in the match. Club Di Dio needed the win as they fell behind away to Iskara Daii 2-1 on agg.
"The away goal was crucial" said Weneri it gave us hope and something to build off of in this game." Meanwhile fans of the other Katawohanese teams participating in international tournaments as Oberklasse ,The Army of Katawohan and Feest United all lost to there respective opponents.

"It's not just a team for the catholics of Katawohan anymore" said one supporter as he left the stadium."We are now the team of Katawohan". Meanwhile the crowd outside the stadium chanted I cattolici continuano a marciare late into the night before heading to catch footage of their next opponents St John’s Arsenal.

"We can beat them on are day" Said Weneri "we just have to play like we played today."
