I wanted HoH to continue but sadly it just ground to a halt.

Why would they when they could buy an aircraft that's better in every way that isn't much more expensive?

I thought of it as buy a cheap aircraft now, have more money to put towards a new one later. Kind of sad no one's grabbed a Tier I yet. At this point it would be comedic, them flying with the junker.

Also, what Relikai said above. Some people may have attachments to older planes. Maybe your favorite plane is the Ho 229? Maybe not so much we can do for that relic, but we can keep it somewhat competitive. Then again people may be of the mindset shiny equals better. Depends on the play-style I guess.

Someone should take the Me-262, just for the pure comedy value. And make it the variant where it's only armament is a 50mm cannon in the nose.

Bio: Born to a family in a rural town in Dorusia Vladimir grew up flying as his father operated a small air shipping company which for the longest time only had one small civilian cargo prop-plane. Due to the remoteness of the town Vladimir grew up in the plane was actually faster than any forms of ground travel and so his father was able to keep his family fed as he brought in food and other supplies and brought out whatever the town residents needed shipped out. When the civil war broke out Vladimir's father found himself bringing in more than just supplies but people as well trying to escape the horrors of war. Vladimir joined him on many of these runs and saw how well paid a good pilot could be if he was hauling the right cargo, this experience later brought him into the criminal underworld where pilots were surprisingly hard to come by sometimes. Vladimir started out as just a regular freighter for various products, legal and otherwise, but soon realized he wasn't making as much as he could.

He saw that sometimes 'reputable' organizations and even nations would hire pilots for more dangerous work, that work being a combat pilot. With his known legal and illegal experience Vladimir joined a PMC operating out of his home nation of Dorusia when he was 22, it was this connection that has brought Vladimir into the 13th Mercenary Air Squadron Morena as he leaves the company to pursue a freelancer career.

Bio: Hanna Tula is Vladimir Tula's younger sister. She too grew up in a similar environment as Vladimir but came out almost his opposite. Where Vladimir sought Chaos she sought Order. That's probably why she went into the Dorusian Air Force while Vladimir chased after smuggling and mercenary work. Passing the Dorusian pilot program by the age of 19 Hanna went on to serve another two years before being honorably discharged in order to take over her father's flights when he became ill after Vladimir and Hanna's mother had died a year prior.

However after the illness claimed her father's life Hanna sold the business away and was preparing to rejoin the Dorusian Air Force before she got the call that her brother Vladimir had been injured serving in Seian. Arriving in country the day before the battle of Ansan Hanna began using the local bus routes to begin her trip towards the besieged city where she knew she'd find her brother at their General Hospital. As the battle got underway Hanna was forced to begin moving on foot through the city towards the hospital in order to ensure her brother was indeed safe and sound.

Bio:

Garret Jones served 8 years as a naval aviator in the Osean Federation with distinction but when his enlistment ran out he decided to take up a cause of his own and opted out of re-enlistment. He spent a couple of months as a private pilot flying charter flights for the rich and sometimes famous but was not fulfilled by that line of work and soon found himself living a more or less aimless life until he discovered PFEA (People for the End of Apartheid) a group of citizens from nations all across Usea that where ideologically opposed to South Sotoa's practices of State Segregation. But the truth is Garret didn't discover the PFEA so much as he discovered Odessa Card, a woman who was very much involved in the organization.
As their relationship grew ever more intense Garret found himself more and more involved with the PFEA to the point where eventually he quit his job as a charter pilot to go to South Sotoa with Odessa and other protesters to bring their grievances directly to the people responsible for them. Stick it to the man! By this time however Odessa's passion for ending apartheid had become the only one that mattered to her and Garret's desire to be with her was no longer reciprocated so on Valentine's Day when he proposed she said no and that her feelings for him were no longer romantic. Crushed and depressed Garret left the PFEA and went on a bender that lasted through the rest of February and well into March until his savings ran dry. Luckily for him the So-So government had only recently made a call to arms and mercenaries from all over were flocking to the nation to bolster its armed forces. Garret cleaned himself up, typed up a resume, and applied with as many places as he could find. Not many places would turn down a pilot with his kind of pedigree but it was Wolfhound that bit first and so Wolfhound that got him, Garret was now going down the career path of Mercenary.

Since the South Sotoan War Garret has continued working as a fighter pilot for hire. Originally he had attempted to rejoin the service in Osea as a flight instructor but was turned down because of the time spent as a fighter in service of a foreign nation so he took his fighter jet and found work wherever it would come from. He flew combat missions for multiple governments, spent time as a test pilot, performed at air shows, and even did a couple year long stint as a flight instructor in Levant. He might still have been there but when Dorusia called for mercenaries he received a personal phone call, Warhound Squadron's members are (in)famous for what they did to help bring an end to the South Sotoan War and as one of the commanders of the renown squadron, let alone a freelance fighter ace with fifteen years combat experience, Major Jones was one of the first people they went looking for. The pay was better than acceptable and so now he's back to the life of a warrior for hire.
Garret is considering the idea of making this his last foray into the world of private soldiering. At nearly 40 years old he has yet to settle down, buy a house, and have a family which is something he always wanted to do. Somehow amongst all that time shooting down other pilot Garret has managed to complete four marathons, his personal best time is 2 hours and 37 minutes.

Since, until recently, I wasn't using the same continuity as HoH, SoSo territory has been marked as Dorusian. Would it be worth changing or should SoSo have lost some point after HoH?

That's a good question.

A fair few of us are using our characters carried over from HoH, and that's an important question, because if we keep continuity, that means that if SoSo lost the war, there'd have to be a good way that our squadron escaped or otherwise survived since the chances were we would've been killed. Possibly the ones in Broken Line are the only survivors from our Squadron if SoSo lost? However, if SoSo was taken sometime in the six years between HoH and Broken Line, it's possible we weren't around at that point.

Another issue if we keep continuity, is that some characters could have morale objections to fighting for a country that rose where their last major employer was. Or some of the characters from HoH would at least probably remark on their familiarity and memories from the SoSo War, as well as that kind of bonds-through-war with the other ex-Wolfhound pilots.
