Seriously though, with everything being covered in reflective stuff in the Imperium's military, and Romy being called a beacon of light, I'm still sure the sword is bright as hell. I mean I said it was bright and made rainbows in the app, but how bright is daylight anyway again? Maybe I should reword it to reflect that more, I don't know.

Unfiltered daylight is pretty bright.
Rom needs to open up a tanning bed franchise in Bielefeld. I'm totally serious. We need one of those!
Anyway... it's pretty bright. It depends on what you want to use the light for, though. As a distraction, it works. If the brightness is to add potency (increased UV exposure), then that works.
When I think of "bright light", I think of an argon laser used in dentistry. The machine generates blue light which is then delivered along an encased fiber optic cable and then a stylus. The tip is exposed at the very end. The light cuts tissue. However, the type of laser determines what it can cut, and some things won't be affected at all (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jcjwsoJZkM). Anyway, dentists using an argon for routine procedures or surgery wear orange safety goggles. The orange blocks out the light's intensity and they can actually look straight at the very tip of the instrument without wincing.
Fvaar, I already gave Agy a heads up, since Nes is resting. He'll probably advise Nick to not make contact, if only because Sep and Nes have talked about that stuff before, and because Nes made no effort to communicate through their tether... meaning she's too frazzled to protect his mind from that touch. I think in any other circumstance, Nes would enjoy sitting down to chat with Nick, though. She'd be able to shield enough of herself to make it comfortable for him.

@Ched: The main reason I suggested just tanning/sunburning was for comedic value.

Sunlight has a lot of specific spectral lines at specific intensities. Galli sunlight might differ from light elsewhere but might be reproducible - if possible to record emissions spectra. (Note light at ground level at dawn may differ from light at noon.) Might be usable against Fiends - but it's hardly certain that sunlight is the cause of death. Could be something plants release at dawn, the literal fact that a new day is starting, position of the planet in space, extremely short lifespan the end of which happens to coincide with dawn, Fiends being teleported elsewhere at dawn...
Reason for me noting this here and not IC? I don't think my chars would think of it. If anyone wishes to steal any part of this for their chars I would honestly be flattered.

Brainstorm! If we do it here, characters that would think of it can think of it IC!
GT I read that as "make leather couches jesus"... ergo a good reason for me not to post.

Character Background/Biography:
Malal Kon was born in a forest in Maine, a couple miles away from Canada. His mother was a half-human minotaur and his father was a full minotaur. His parents often took him hunting in Maine or across the border. But when Malal was 9 months old, the US army killed most of his family and friends. However, when his life was in most peril, he learned how to transform into a human. He was rescued by the US army members. They asked him for his name, and he said Matthew Kon. They took him on a road trip across the Northeast US before returning to West Point. They put him in an orphanage in New York.
Malal, because of the stress, forgot how to shapeshift again and began to lose his memory of his parents. The only thing he remembered was crawling out of a flaming house.
Matthew was adopted very quickly by the Morton family, where he got his surname, and he was raised in New York. When he was 7, robbers tried to rob his house. He discovered his ability once more, and scared them away. This time however, he kept it, and loved to run around the alleys of New York, alone of course, in his minotaur form.
He had a normal life, until he was 17. His parents attended his high school graduation. He was 17 years and 7 months old. However, two months later he was looking for colleges when a fire burned down his parents' house exactly 17 years after his old parents were killed. When they were in the hospital, they managed to tell their son he was adopted and he was from West Point. That was all they knew. Matthew went to West Point a night, and he somehow managed to sneak in. He found the file named Minotaur and opened it. What he found was his background. He got out of there, and read all of it. His memories were coming back to him.
After attending his parents' funeral in New York, he went back to his birthplace in Maine to train. He trained for three years, until now. Now he is ready to see the world and find minotaurs once again.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.
