No, I was bumping the thread. You don't need to tell us the lyrics until the contest.

Palmouth has decided to make changes to it's national final due to recent problems:

1. The show will now take place on Friday, still being held at the Palmouth Broadcasting Centre in Yorkshire Palmouth
2. The voting will be mixed, 50% jury and 50% viewer votes
3. Lady Madonna will not be able to sing due to illness, so Matt Firthe will be singing all the songs and will go to Sophia City, which ever song wins

The entry from Bears Armed will be deterrmined in almost the same way as on the last two occasions:
Firstly there will be 12 regional competitions, 10 in the 'Mainland' and 2 in the 'Northlands', entry into which shall require passing suitable auditions and the results of which will be determined by polling those regions' viewers/listeners.
The national competition will then consist of the the 12 'regional' winners; the 2 'regional' runners-up that did best in terms of shares of the local votes; 1 other song out of all the rest of those that featured in the regional contests, selected by the committee that's managing the competition here; and singer Erra Carrarray, who's now had enough experience of performing before large audiences to be cured of the stage fright that kept her from performing as scheduled at 'WorldVision 10', with a new song: Voting in this will involve 12 regional juries (chosen at random from amongst the people who voted in the relevant region's own contests) plus the acts that were eliminated at the regional stage, some members of the 'Order of Bairrds' (who are helping to run this...), some people from the BABC (ditto), and the members of the 'High Council of Clans' (i.e. the nation's legislature).

(In those two previous competitions, without Erra Carrarray, the people managing the contest within Bears Armed were divided into 2 groups -- Bairrds, and BABC -- each of which chose 1 song from out of those performed in the regional contests that wouldn't otherwise have made it to the national final...)

Here are the results from M.Z.'s very 1st National Final. It was an exciting event, entertaining and memorizing the masses for nearly an entire week. Broadcast on M.Z.'s premier public station MZTV, the following were the final eight performances and the only serious contenders. While voting from the public was a large factor, a panel of six respected judges from various recording and entertainment backgrounds ultimately decided who would make it through.

Without further adieu, the finalists:

8. Let's Go!, by The Randomites
7. Gun Nuts, by Militant Zombies
6. Blinking, by Connection Established
5. Doctor Doctor, by Hyperbolic Revelation
4. Amazing, by Chrono
3. Struggle With Success, by The Indies
2. Crying Woman, by Defcon IV

And with the top spot, representing all of Maxia Zeta with a supreme performance, both on stage and off;

1. Cold Wind, by Subverted Intent

"We would like to thank the judges, particularly Dibar Hangman, for allowing us this great opportunity to both represent Maxia Z, and to showcase the talent our great nation has!" ~ D. Chris of Subverted Intent (lead singer)

In seventh place .... Rainbow Tales
In sixth place .... Deeply Tearful
In fifth place .... Man Without No Name

Shakespere's Whisper wins with over 2 million votes.

Well, Shakespere's Whisper has won the Palmouth Song Contest by a record margin. Matt Firthe said "This is a wonderful song, and I'm really happy that it won the contest, I look forward to singing it in Sophia City"

We will see you in Sophia City, where Matt Firthe will sing Shakespere's Whisper at WorldVision 11. See you then, Goodnight Palmouth

That doesn't mean this is going to be that same song... the title of my WorldVision 9 entry, Around the World, was also the title of like 4 or 5 RL songs.
