The ROMEO 6X6 AIFV is a family of wheeled armoured vehicles designed and constructed by the Atok Aerospace for the Atok Land Force
The power plant is AAe Furtov G-11F 4-stroke, 8-cylinder, turbo-charged, air-cooled diesel giving 235kW (320hp) at 2,500rpm. It is connected to a 5fwd/1rvs 5S-111GPA mechanical gearbox with assisted steering. The air-cooled diesel engine is coupled to a fully automatic transmission with five forward gears and one reverse, with torque converter. Axles have double reduction and differential locking. All wheels have autonomous coil spring suspensions, and hydraulic disc brakes. There is a central inflation system, and tyres are of the run-flat type (capable of 30 kph even if all are damaged).
This infantry fighting vehicle is fully amphibious. On water it is propelled by two waterjets. These are swung backwards through 180° for improved propulsion when in the water. Before entering the water, a trim vane is erected at the front of the vehicle and the bilge pumps, located in the floor at the rear, are switched on. This military vehicle can be airlifted by Il-76 or similar aircraft.
ROMEO 6X6 AIFV can accommodate eight troops on the bench-type seats provided on either side of the rear compartment. A large door on the right allows entry and exit of the troops. The troop compartment is at the rear of the hull and the troops enter via a large door that is hinged on the right and has a firing port and a vision block. The infantry sits on bench-type seats down either side of the hull facing each other.
The vehicle is suited with common equipment, including an NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection system and automatic fire suppression system.

Fortress missile decoy system
The Fortress missile decoy has been designed and developed by Longstone Technologies for the protection of armoured fighting vehicles against attack by antitank missiles. Since the decoy is non-expendable it is able to provide permanent protection.
The decoy employs infra-red emitters to 'mimic' those used by most semi-automatic missile systems to aid missile tracking. In this way, the opponent fire control system is made to issue erroneous flight correction commands to the missile, causing it to deviate safely away from its projected target.
