Bio: Long ago, a mighty family of nobles ruled over the Terran planet of Daemoria. They were known as the Invorça and they were the heads of the Order of Broken Wings. Once upon a time they were one of the most powerful forces in the Known Universe however, as per their creed they only allowed themselves to come to arms as a last resort. As such, they devoted most of their time to research and improving the lives of other Redemit.

Jealousy was prevalent in the Order of Broken Wings however, and a band of high ranking officers plotted to overthrow the Invorça in disagreement to their pacifist policies. On the Day of Solace, a festive day celebrated on Daemoria held in honor of the founding of the Order of Broken Wings, the rebels used magic to create a nullification field around the Invorça estate and then set it alight. Believing all of the Invorça to have perished, these rebels led by Kallister Encon took full control of the Order and refocused all of its assets to military production and training.

During the Chalice War, the Order of Broken Wings proved to be a vital military asset to the resistance against the Dragons. So, in retaliation the White Dragon's forces ripped a crater on Daemoria that spanned half the planet's surface, destroyed the entirety of the Order and nearly ripped the planet in two.

Miraculously, at least one member of the Invorça family managed to escape the coup and live as an outcast with the peasantry on the opposite side of Daemoria. When the Order was destroyed during the War, the Invorça lost any hopes of regaining their former glory so they, like their fallen Order, disappeared into legend.

Elysia, the last surviving member of this once mighty clan, was born with an enthusiastic mother and father. During her childhood she was very active and social, making many friends during the day and learning the old ways of her family during the night. When she turned seventeen, her parents decided to come out of hiding and proclaim to the people of Daemoria that the Invorça still live and can help restore their broken world. However, some still blamed the Invorça for the calamity that was brought upon their world and one man, Jourkand Neilender, took matters into his own hands and cut the couple in two during a speech.

Elysia, mad with distraught, challenged the assassin to a duel. (Duels are a common way to settle disputes in Daemoria ever since the fall of the Order of Broken Wings.) Neilender happily accepted the challenge from the young and inexperienced girl. On the morning of the duel, the two stood at opposite ends of an arena, Neilender brandishing an energy gladius and Elysia with seemingly nothing at all. With a snicker the man man charged at the girl, hoping to end the fight before it even started. However, in that moment a brilliant ray of sunlight seemed to flow directly into the blonde girl and soon it was projected out of her hands and smashed into Neilender, knocking him clean off his feet. Then, a mighty golden halberd seemingly made of pure light was seen in her hands as she leapt at the man who killed her parents. However, she stopped an inch short of cutting his throat and instead offered him a hand, understanding, and forgiveness. Word traveled fast about the powerful child and now she has found herself in the face of her greatest challenge yet, the Silver Hand Academy.

This is the form that is taught to all members of Broken Wings alongside it's Physical Combat counterpart, Mani. It has no significant strengths or weaknesses and is relatively simple which is why it is the first of the forms. The starting position of Nima is as follows: the practitioner's left side faces the target, feet are spread apart at shoulder length, weight is distributed evenly between both feet, the left arm is placed in front at the same height as the waist, the right arm is placed upwards beside and slightly back from the head, both palms face toward the target. Attacking is usually done with the rearward hand by stepping forward with the rear leg in unison with the offensive spell, leading to a reversal of the stance. For any spells that require the use of both hands, the practitioner will join their hands together at the center-front of their body. As with one-handed attacks the practitioner will step forward with their rear leg in unison with the spell, reversing the stance. If the practitioner can use protective magic than the frontward hand will be used for defense. Sidestepping can be accomplished by stepping with the front leg to either side first and then proceeding with the other leg. Dodging backwards is also possible by stepping with the front leg backwards and therefore reversing the stance. Advanced practitioners of Nima are able to go fluidly between stances and alternate between offense and defense while maintaining a strong foothold. When fighting using Form One, ground is almost always gained against the opponent while the rigid stances ensure that the practitioner's defenses are rarely compromised. The major drawback to this form is that it's simplicity makes it predictable in comparison to more complex forms of combat. However, it is the easiest to use and it's teachings can easily be used to fall back on when other, more tiring forms are failing.

So, this thing is still open, I'm in Summer RPing mood, and want to know what has actually happened during my absence.

Okay, well, summary time!

So, the RP starts with some students being on a Chariot (a type of vehicle, described in the IC OP I believe), chatting and stuff. There's a derelict spear of light that shoots past them and a creepy ominous broadcast. Then they land at the Northern Branch of the Silver Hand Academy on Cathedral Arcadia. The PCs are greeted by one of their guides, Arcander, who takes them to the auditorium for the welcoming ceremony, where they meet their other guide, Aressa. The welcoming ceremony happens, which includes something similar to a knighting for each student, and a reciting of the Phantom Oath. The students are then left to their devices for that day, and the aspirants ask the students if they want to participate in something called the Silver Games, where students duel each other for what essentially ammounts to shiggles (Academy-sanctioned shiggles), and some stuff happens during these games (a student's energy shields fail, a couple of students draw and kiss, there's links to each of the battles of the Silver Games that the PCs participated in). So the aspirants then take the students on a tour around the Academy, and then to their dorm (A-23, hence the PCs forming Group A-23). Room arrangements ensue (though I think most of them are moot by now, given the number of people who have dropped out since then). They're led up to the rooftop afterwards, where there's a cafeteria. During their lunch, they decide to tell stories (there's links to these stories in the third post, along with links to the battles).

The next day, the students go to Redemit History class, where they meet one of their teachers, last name Cyranis. She gives a lot of exposition and stuff, and then we timeskip to the last class of the day, battle training class or something (I freely admit I forgot what I called it). Anyway! They're greeted by another of their teachers, last name Cyranis also! He knocks them around a bit, telling them to try to hit him while he just stands immobile in the center of the room. So they try, and he knocks them around a bit blocking all of their attacks, but then they join forces and perform a joint attack, eventually forcing him to use a spell to knock them all on their asses, rather than simply block with his sword. A small victory I suppose. Yaaay. Did I mention he always wears a blindfold? He always wears a blindfold.

Timeskip two cycles, the students are on an excursion:

Alright, so, it's been two cycles since the school year started. At the present IC day, the students of the Northern Branch are on an excursion to Cathedral Gaelia, where they were led to a cliffside resort. The group is currently at a banquet held for the students of the Silver Hand Academy.

You're part of the A-23 group (the group where all of our characters are). Since you just applied, you can claim that your character arrived the day previous to the present IC day.

So after the banquet, the guides take the group on a trip to the jewel tree forests of Cathedral Gladia, along with another group, but then the ground beneath them collapses and they land on a cave with two large chambers. They go from one to the other and find a dragon skull in the center of the room, along with two heathen warriors and a half-giant girl. The group kills the heathen warriors in a battle you can read about if you look at the third post of this thread (there's links).

So, at the same time, there's a batch of newbs that arrived just before the excursion and were slated to be assigned to Group A-23 at some point. Cyranis (the girl one, Sapphira) receives news from one of the students (an NPC of the second group, sent there by his guide) that groups A-23 and A-36 (that would be the second group) found some heathen warriors, so she takes the newbs along. By the time they arrive, though, they're all dead and the group is resting. Cyranis goes to call for local authorities (Gladian knights) and the group stays behind to make sure that the half-giant girl doesn't escape or do anything. While at it, two of the newbs, Rache and Kyrissa, get into a fight, and the former challenges the latter to a duel the next morning. Then the Gladian knights arrived and everyone went back to the suite. Timeskip a couple hours, it's dinner time. That's where we are, currently.

Is it a shitty summary? Yes. Does it cover the general happenings well without going much into specifics? Oh, totally.
