Actually now that I think about it, I wrote one of my best posts(at least I think so) ever in Pedal to the Metal and got no response.

Then why are the Scarlet Knights spurning the rebellion by jealously hoarding all the tin cans? Perhaps they want people to rebel. But that can only mean... The Scarlet Knights are agents of evil!

Notice how Scarlet Knights of the Sun has 3 S's? And 5-3=2. As in Pentagon-#ofS=Twin Towers. 9/11 confirmed. Or just that Scarlet knights of the Sun resembles S.S. Hitler confirmed. Either way, they're the Illuminati.

Skills: Fighting, a distinct scythe - specialized fighting stance which is known for its ferocity, and strength. Her scythe is noted to slam into the earth, and divide it; The real threat, is when you are divided instead. She is also quite skilled in metal magic, not only controlling crystals or refining steels, but some forms only known in older scrolls few have looked at.

Personality: A Rogue fighter, with a penchant for violence and unseen kindness. Despite her early upbringing, she has developed a much more rugged appearance. Some call her a violent fighter, but that may not be the case. To those who know her, she is a try hard with a kind heart. She just doesn't regularly show it. She is also one who can't keep things bottled up, and as such she is easily angered, and not afraid to get violent. To some violence is a last resort, to her it's pretty likely to resort to that last resort, much sooner than you'd expect.

She, in her travels, has done many silly things, but she isn't afraid of others. She has has made her way around 'romances of the heart,' though it is hard to say she felt anything. They werent permanent, they were short lived and merely for the good time. This could be attributed to her wishes to never stay in one place for too long.

She can be kind, though, in the background. she can, though rarely, be seen protecting a small flower or butterfly during an intense fight where it might be easier to. It is probably her intent to a degree for these actions to be less known, whether she has a slight tinge for shyness, is probably not the case.

Weaknesses:
 Her focus on such a scythe technique has furthered her skills beyond a normal warrior, but does not protect her from weakness. Her combat is based on two things: Frontal combat without subterfuge, and a devestated volley of attacks meant to cleave, and slice through anybody. These two things make her weaknesses into subterfuge, and a skilled and speedy fighfer, who could move past the scythe's range.

Equipment, if any: Scythe she made of a black ore, she considers it to be sturdier than steel, though it is difficult to draw comparisons between the two.

Bio: "To say she is misunderstood, would be accurate, though few people are that accurate." Few people know Astra as a person, and she rarely talks of her past, but it has shaped hef. Her life has forged her into a gentle fighter with a care for the world. She is distant to people who don't know her truthful, but she has made some friends in her travels.

In her early years, Astra grew up in high society; The rich,  and reckless. If only people knew what she was or how it'd shape her. She existed as a proper daughter of a powerful garamiccian mining company, founded deep in a mine of gold, silver, a precious metal. Many found fault in her, and many hated her, but she didn't care. As the world was hers. And she would pave her path with no regret, nor will to change it. This changed.

She met, at her last party as a noble, a chivalrous man of high renown, but In actuality, He was not a kind man. He was vile, and cruel. She talked with him for a while, before he clumsily spilt wine on her blouse. She went to change her shirt, but he followed. He followed into her room, and went beyond the levels a stranger should; he took things from her. Although, in response, She took things from him as recompense: his eyes. He shambled out of her room, and into the banquet. He rambled on about his face, and his eyes. He showed not just her mother, but to all of the Garamiccian nobles and wealthy lords.

"A savage! a pure savage with no control. A monster which needs to be put down," was the thought of every soul at the royal banquet.  Astra tried to explain, but she harmed one of the most powerful and trusted dukes in the land. Her word meant nothing to his, not even to her mother. She was outcast from her family and from society. She found herself a beggar, in a tip of a hat. She only knew that she needed to survive... by her own will... with no regrets... and anyone else was of no concern. She traveled the land, and grew many talents. She found of her magical powers, much later in her days, but she did question whether even being an elemental, could have reversed the events which led to all of this.

This did not leave her unshaken. She was an odd mix of a pessimist, and an optimist.She may seem hesitant at first, but the assistance of others isn't something she is against. Though she values her individual growth. To do this, She had found, in her travels, a variety of scrolls to protect herself. They were of two things: first, metal magic from ancient stories of the elementals; second, arts which few studied, over a fighting stance which she made her own. This lead to her violent fighting stance, and affinity for scythes. This was something those who tried to get at her 'learned' quickly, when they still had things atop their shoulders, which could be used to learn.

That is, perhaps, the most unoriginal Mary Sue I have ever laid eyes on. I mean, a fucking scythe. The real problem, though, is that whole "grimdark evil" thing. That doesn't mesh with our whole "all-around heroic-type" characters. Even the darkness Elemental on our team is generally good-spirited and heroic.

Also, Elementals are not hated by society. The bad guys hate them, but everyone else either loves them as the heroes of old or doesn't care.

I won't begrudge you the scythe, Saleon, but you might want to rethink her fighting style. Between the fact that Astra's scythe looks pretty big and her being a Metal Elemental I can't see her fighting that quickly. Metal Elementals are on the slow end of the spectrum, generally only being faster than Earth Elementals without outside help or being an incredibly rare hybrid Elemental with a more swift elements like Lightning or Wind. You can certainly have it be ferocious, but it won't be agile.

"She is neither kind, nor personable, nor the kind of individual to fall for." This sentence from the bio irked me, because it seems to contradict her personality section. And as Olthar said, Elementals aren't widely hated. The nobility at dinner despising Elementals is particularly confusing, given how the vast majority of noble families were founded by, and in cases like the Aurenheims and Sahranjjite Imperial Family, still composed of, Elementals.
On another note, what country is she from?

Aye, alchemy can brew magic potions. Typically Nature Elementals are the most skilled in that field.

I moved things around a bit, and made her not evil, nor an antihero. She now is from a kingdom, which I picked cause it talked about ore, and precious metals. changed her personality a bit, and fixed her fighting style.

The character I am proposing obviously wouldn't be able to use either element to its full potential, but would have something that would fit their style well.
