I would like to sign up too. I'm still figuring out how the song contest thing works and I hope I'll do a decent job this time.

With Tödlichebujoku's second 2nd placing after Polkopia with a depression-themed song, TÖBUK decided to bring back the successful Sinun Valintasi from WV37, this time focusing more on pop and dance-pop acts. For those who dislike pop, a tear-jerking song by WHF entrant Shichirou Huber promises a similar experience to Valtimo and LUMI's "Shadow" but with a more spiritual twist. The community wildcard, nominated by fans etching on the TÖBUK shard, is "Hex" by the dance act CLK with a down-and-dirty vibe and details an act of lust-driven magecraft, appealing to the WV fans wishing for a more visible national identity on stage.
Again, Sinun Valintasi presents a selection of six songs and a wildcard. A short description and an expanded set of draft lyrics are new this time around.

Image
EKranz - Free Me (Tell Me Why, Please)
G.E.M. - 想講你知

The first song in the lineup, "Free Me (Tell Me Why, Please)" echoes "Stop Falling" in its story of a speaker imprisoned in a relationship, though the more modern dance-oriented style of EKranz's track just might go farther than VYY's soul piece did in WV34.

Excerpt (may change slightly in future):
Your love hurt me, I tried to flee... But you just can't see
Free me! If you wanted to be, somebody who I would need
Tell me why, please

Image
Shichirou Huber - Your Own
Shawn Mendes - Never Be Alone

A resolute cry of steadfast love to a person suddenly whisked away from life, WHF competitor and crystallomatrix celebrity Shichirou Huber's new song "Your Own" describes his own deeply felt loss of a lover and is tugging heartstrings all across Tödlichebujoku.

Excerpt (final):
You're gone, but I won't forget
Because we'll never break, and I'll always be your own
Always be your own

Image
Kiraya Adler - Glow
Hilary Duff - Sparks

A heartfelt love song, "Glow" unabashedly expresses pop star Kiraya's boundless love not only through its lyrics, but also through the combination of its breathy pop style and naughty-girl vocals. A favorite of the bookies due to its catchy chorus, that unstoppable breathy/naughty vocal combo, and the likely star performance by Kiraya.

Excerpt (may change slightly in future):
Take me down so fast, oh it feels so right
When you hold me close, we can flee the night
You make my world glow..

Image
Piroska - Nobody
E.S. Posthumus - Oraanu

A feel-good power ballad featuring a tribal drum break, "Nobody" urges its listeners to move forward and make the most of their lives. It is almost uniformly accepted as being more suitable for WorldVision than Piroska's previous entry "Faraway" from WV37's Sinun Valintasi.

Draft Excerpt (almost certain to be edited significantly):
Nobody can redact your right to chase all of your dreams
Nobody can keep you down if you can deny them that
No others can become the person you can make yourself into

Image
Páátepysákki - Help! Save Me
ВИА Гра - Stop! Stop! Stop!

A plea for help in a world of chaos, Páátepysákki's song "Help! Save Me" has echoed the concerns and feelings of both teenagers and adults living in a world of changing technology and expectations. Speculation for this entry's possible stage performance has gone surprisingly rampant, ranging from a literal interpretation of the lyrics to a religious/moral battle between good and evil.

Excerpt (final):
Lost in my own life for the sake of the future
Selling my own soul with no second thought
Someone take my hand for now I am screaming
Help! Save me now!

Image
Aulis - Weakness
Austin Mahone - Secret

Aulis returns to WorldVision with "Weakness", a song calling attention to people who fear their weaknesses. Aulis has noted his intention to tell people that weaknesses are okay, that they should be worked with and not simply hidden.

Excerpt (final):
Always have to hide your weakness
No one's gonna ever see it
Can't stop concealing your mind
You just have to hide your weakness for life

Image
The Wildcard
CLK - Hex
Vanessa Hudgens vs YLA - $$$ex

The wildcard, CLK's "Hex", was chosen by fans concerned about a lack of magical awareness in WorldVision and a lack of Tödlichebujoki cultural representation in the contest. While it isn't the most positive portrayal of magic the nation could send, the teasing vocals and dark electronic flourishes are capturing the "guilty pleasure" vote from fans across the nation.

Excerpt (final):
Act like you're above me
I feel so fucking lonely
Not waiting till the time is right
So you're thinking that I'm not competing?
Watch me cast a hex, get your cold heart beating!

Send your top five choices to Sinun Valintasi (the nation linked)! Make sure you note which one is your top pick and list them in order. Thanks!

CONFIRMED: Aloquirbe and Britonisea enter WorldVision Song Contest!

After a long wait, and a long process, it seems like Estogium has been kicked out of the process, and has left us with the two strongest Grand British Kingdom, and two strongest UCR WorldVision members. As the new era begins in WorldVision, this "game" will be put in place. If any one of the nations fail to receive 48 points, then the baton will be automatically passed to the nation not participating for the next contest [Example, If Britonisea and Aloquirbe receive under 48 points, Estogium will be in WV41]. If Nation A receives over 48 points, but Nation B doesn't, Nation C will replace B and head with A to the next contest. In case of all the nations receiving less than 48 points consecutively, then no nation will take part, or Nightom will take part for one contest alone. So, with a constant battle on our plates until WorldVision 50. We now announce the entries of the Britonish and the Aloquirbic delegations.

#1: Britonisea
Britonisea will be singing, "We" performed by Janet Kraye & the Children of 6B.
Tune: #Join Us

#2: Aloquirbe
Meanwhile, Aloquirbe will be singing, "Thinking outside the box" performed by Various Artists [All Star Sisters, Avant, BlueGreen]
Tune: Building Bridges

The Broadcasters have been decided. BVC will broadcast WorldVision 40 in Britonisea alone whereas, UCRTV will broadcast the WorldVision 40 Song Contest regionally.

ALO CONTJALEST ESA POUAL CHANTJAL
Image

(The host of Alo Contjalest Esa Poual Chantjal, Martin Selenoer, walks up to the front of the stage of the Stadja Chantja in Caen, which is hosting ACEPC this time, and begins to speak to the audience)

Bonjasorlí, and welcome to Alo Contjalest Esa Poual Chantjal, the national selection process for Normandy and Picardy. Tonight, ten acts will compete to be the Normand representative for WV40. Of course, two songs have advanced from the wildcard round, and we shall show these in a moment. They have been placed in a totally random order, but the ones that made it through are in the green boxes at the top. The vote was mixed 60:40 between juries and the public vote. Let's see who made it through.

Image

Now, eight other acts will join these two. These are songs that have been selected by NPTV from songs put forward by professionals in the music industry. It is up to you which one represents Normandy and Picardy at WorldVision. International Juries (OOC: You) will vote in the usual WorldVision manner, with 12 points for your favourite, 10 points for your second favourite and then from 8 to 1. Right, lets see all the acts.

1. Einalés Era finsa? (Is it over?) – The Subtle Swords
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIZdjT1472Y&index=1&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl
The Subtle Swords gave Normandy and Picardy their best result with "Wrong Side" in WorldVision 36, finishing in 7th with 104 points. Now, they want to return to the WorldVision stage, in order to see whether they can do better. They loved WorldVision and just want to experience it again. Domestically, they have had several Top 10 hits and 2 of their singles have reached Number 1, including their WV36 entry, as well as their first and currently only album, "Subtle".

2. Er Droeðena Choise (The Right Choice) – Punca
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIZdjT1472Y&index=1&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl
Punca are a group from Avranches, the most deprived area of Normandy and Picardy. Despite the comments of several musical critics, who have called their music "trash", they have set the Normand charts ablaze, with a series of Number 1s. They want to enter WorldVision to show what Normandy and Picardy has to offer and to prove anyone can do anything if they try.

3. Magian (Magic) – Orland and Senja
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFYLp-r0ZVA&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl&index=3
Orland Cissan is a major music producer, who has created a series of Top 10 and Number 1 hits for several artists, including himself and others like Senja (Full name Senja Hunna). Senja is an artist who has had a short career, but has already had many Top 10 hits. They both feel like WorldVision would be a perfect way to showcase their talents and they both love the contest, having watched it even before BNRT (formerly NPTV) started broadcasting it.

4. Einale Ega Kjoðatön (I Am Falling) – Nekki
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFxtn_BQauk&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl&index=4
Nekki, real name Nekland Inaton, is from the south of Normandy and Picardy, and although he is popular their he is not much known outside of that region. He had suffered in the past with drugs, and during this time he wrote this song about his experiences, when he felt like he was falling into an endless abyss. Since then, he has recovered and has built a stable career, and WorldVision would be a major milestone for him.

5. Aeltéma (Sometimes) – GiRl
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsyjS_vJfkw&index=5&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl
This is the first of the two songs that got through from the Wildcard round. GiRl are a duo, Joanne and Silvia, who are currently studying at university. They recently won "Chantjal!" (Sing!, the equivalent of the X-Factor), but have yet to chart. They want to go to WorldVision to show the fresh talent coming through in Normandy and Picardy and showcase their country, as well as to show that young people can do anything.

6. Opralest Cöntrollé (Retake Control) – Michael Stevens
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTDuVc2Wt18&index=6&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl
Michael is normally the lead singer of band "The Watchers", who have seen much successs. He is also a major radio personality, hosting his own show on Radio Normandy. The band are currently taking a break and each of the members are pursuing different projects. Michael wants to go to WorldVision, and will attend whether as the act or not. His brand of light, 80s inspired music is a breath of fresh air in the Normand charts, and his own album, "The Little Things", reached Number 1 in a few hours after it's release.

7. Soliatan (Lonely) – Senna
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1TcDHrkQYg&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl&index=7
Senna, whose real name is Sendric Nastin, is a music producer and artist. Although not as well known as others, many of songs produced by him have become hits in Normandy and Picardy. Now, he wants his time to shine and for him, there is no better stage than WorldVision, where he can show his talent to everyone. He also wants to fulfil the wishes of his wife, who wanted to go see the contest with him. However, she was killed in a plane accident before she could do this.

8. Justé einalest essam (Just be yourself) - Lallen
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-SOaSU0ieA&index=8&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl
Lallen are a group from the town of Lallen-sou-Blacoran, in the southern mountains, and have a distinctive style of music which is different from anything else in the charts. They have had a break recently, but now are returning to music, and want to go to WorldVision to help restart their career, as well as to bring their message with them. They want to show people that they should be unique and shouldn't be afraid to be themselves.

9. Einalés Vibea Enprivana Vibatön? (Is live worth living?) - Lorran
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiore9Z5iUg&index=9&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl
This is other song that made it through the wildcard round. It is sung by Lorran, who is normally a worker at a supermarket. She wants to prove that anything is possible, no matter who you are. She came third in “Chantjal!” and since then has fallen off the radar, until recently she was contacted by DJ Robby Schuman, who decided it was time she got the career she deserved. This is the song that resulted.

10. Aprenalest Pau Er (Wait For It) - Sjuzé
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n--TEFlviTU&list=PL59dChRylLZSXtYZExEY6b1OZK71CvNOl&index=10
Sjuzé is a popular artist in Normandy and Picardy, noted for her distinct style of music, influenced by the culture of the east and by other cultures. She recently won WHF for Normandy and Picardy, and has also had an illustrious career, with a series of hits. She is unique and seen as mysterious, and her music is unique. She wants to showcase her style and show the distinct culture of her region of the country

(Martin Selenoer returns after the final act, and begins to speak)
