Why is it so annoyingly long trying to get a custom banner to load?

There needs to be a way so people can be alerted when they get a telegram or something while on the forum.

Well, I know it isn't completed yet (I read something on here about having to update the forum server for it)

but I was wondering if notifications would be enabled for forum replies, and stuff like that.

I have to say, I love the look of the updated Rift forum-sidebar

Upgrading the forum is turning out to be a much bigger job than anticipated, so rather than wait any longer, I've adjusted the Rift sidebar in the forums to display links for your nation, telegrams, issues, and notifications. This allows Rift to be usable in the forums without turning off the sidebar.

There have also been a few cosmetic tweaks, the most noticeable of which is a font change for page headers, which is aimed at reducing the total number of different fonts used across the site.

Not sure if this was brought up before but it would be really nice to hover over the banners to see the text over description instead of having to look it up in setting page - sort of like when we hover over Lexicon icon there is text over for "NationStates is created by Max Barry..."

I don't care if my name's too long to view the whole thing, but you might need to adjust the icons at the bottom so they don't stretch as well. Also the TG thing appears to be drifting rightward too.

It is. You just have to change your theme and change it back to make the changes.

I need to know a lot of things to do anything useful with font feedback, because they look very different depending on your browser, device/OS, installed fonts, and possibly phase of the moon. Screenshots are ideal, but failing that, please be super descriptive!
