OOC: the commander's name, since it's evident I'll be going back to him multiple times in this RP, will from here on be 'Marshal/Marssel (rank) Karel Bérnzen.

Also, I'm ignoring Adampia's post until we sort out the issue with the Adampian fleet perceivedly TPing to the fight. I'll address it in my next post.

LELPAIJFORE

Chazicarian Waters

Marshal Bérnzen now faced the might of the Chazicarian Navy. His combined taskforce was outnumbered by the Chazicarian armada, and they had deployed stealth fighters to attempt to defeat the air-defence system of the fleet. However, this was a situation he was well aware he had but himself into. He knew he could get himself out of it. While the Chazicarians intended to hammer the Luepolan fleet, the Luepolans would slice theirs with precision and cunning. So, Bérnzen first directed his attention to the incoming anti-ship missiles.

"Pruvate á Netuork Inizatíg Defenzel. Fuskre na trasportígen, airutrasportígen, j kroikruzelen."

With this, the first mate activated the fleet's so-called 'Defense Network Initiative', which would connect the missile defense systems of the entire task force and coordinate them to shoot down missiles with maximum effectiveness, with the added ability to prioritize defense of certain ships- in this case, the transports, cruisers, and carriers. It was a Luepolan invention; designed to deliver maximum protection to the fleet in the face of substantial enemy fire. The sheer volume of fire would make it impossible for a single missile to reach a target. Bérnzen knew that it could not stop all of the approximately sixty missiles, but he was confident it would catch a majority of them. Though the commander did not know of the EDM missiles, the missiles were still able to be engaged by ships that weren't being targeted.

As the missiles came within range, the anti-missile systems of multiple ships were set off. The counter-missiles of the corvettes managed to catch nine of the missiles. As the missiles approached, CIWS systems- mainly Kashtans and AK-630s- rose their gun barrels into the air and pounded away at the missiles. With each of the remaining ~40 missiles being tracked by at least two CIWS systems at once, the majority of them were intercepted, but some missiles still managed to impact their targets. The carrier Aíel and the cruisers Bondurvaz and Revolusau were damaged significantly, while the transport ship Sesilurst, the cruiser Lipinuvaz, and the frigate Sarangelska were immediately knocked out of action. Marshal Bérnzen then turned his attention to the coastal guns that hammered at the fleet, having already damaged an additional 2 corvettes and 2 frigates.

"Sipes rotokrafen: Ataskare ka artilerígen ssurol."

The numerous Rooivalk helicopters already airborne immediately swooped to near ocean level and flew straight towards the coastal guns. They were already taking small arms fire, but their armor shredded away the lighter calibers. The helicopters quickly leveled off and began pounding away at the remaining coastal guns with their 30mm cannons and rocket pods.

Bérnzen then directed his attention to the incoming aircraft. In addition to the expansive missile defence system used by the fleet, the AA defences were also active. 23mm rapid-fire autocannons drilled the formations of fighters, intermittently interrupted by the launches of SAM volleys. 40mm cannons also pounded away at the aircraft with their flak shells. Meanwhile, on the decks of the Anesíka and Blenvaz Orto, Su-33 fighters began to take off to take the fight to the skies.

Bérnzen finally turned his attention to the LCACs continually nearing the hard-hit Chazicarian shore, noting that two of the first sixteen had already been sunk, and a third one was smoking. Noting his other orders, he believed they were relatively safe for now. Nevertheless, he got on his radio once again and barked another set of orders.

"Sipes tanken: salu á preprol snorkli zo airuflotskrafsa dezetnu. Marinen nediru naudi. Airufuzara Gruabi 3, prepre flugi; sun bombardu ka ssurvaz demossari espolzen. Sipes transportígen, mále sipes airuflotskrafen."

Aboard the LCACs, the OKr A1 crews prepared for possible snorkeling operations, and the soldiers knew to swim to shore if possible. These would happen in the event that gunfire disabled the LCAC. The tanks were armored against aircraft cannon fire, but the LCACs were not. Meanwhile, aboard the four Kiev-class aircraft carriers, Sea Harriers rose into the air and headed for the shore, to bomb the beach and clear any remaining mines. Lastly, under the threat of airborne strike, the transport ships deployed their remaining LCACs. Not all troops aboard the ships were sent, as the operation was designed to have the LCACs make multiple trips after the beachhead had been secured, but as many as could be deployed were launched. In total, 24 more LCACs had been launched.

Bérnzen turned his eyes toward the Chazicarian fleet. The air was filled with their own helicopters, and their aircraft carriers were already preparing more aircraft. He then turned to the arsenal ships of the fleet, with smoke still bellowing from their missile launch tubes.

"Flotskrafen klasen Sovremenní, Kirov, Slava, j Lujou- Báze Armínensa Flotskrafol, Granitensa j Bazaltensa na ka flotsgruabi Cazikacce. Fuskre na airutransportígen j plamuflotskrafen belga."

Across the fleet, the destroyers and battlecruisers began targeting the Chazicarian naval vessels. The Slava-class and Sovremenny-class ships each fired a volley of three P-500 Bazalt at the arsenal ships, while the Kirov-class and Luzhou-class ships launched the more advanced P-700 Granit in volleys of six, with their primary target being the supercarriers that the Chazicarian Navy had deployed.

"Vá res sal aki?" Bérnzen asked a nearby sailor.

"Koradel niva!" he shouted. "Sonar viare gre maipol flotskraf onturmaru. Hun maipol dessire ataske kala."

"OK. Je mossare ssnelflotskrafen reunol j spike na hun komenzi KMFK."

On Bérnzen's word, a group of Type 056A corvettes broke off from the fleet and began sailing further out to sea, to protect the Luepolan submarines from the possible sub-surface threat. RHIBs with sonar equipment were deployed from the corvettes as they steamed out.

"Je, har, bombardelen ka Lupola sal na Kurente cervaz osto. Tun karé kruzroktrígen BrahMos. Mu abe remossari tun as aki."

"Boán. Make á tu. Je dok su sal na, spike á na Kroigruabi 5 mossarí blat aki."

The sailor immediately started telling the aircraft to head towards the fight. Their BrahMos missiles, if launched right, would make short work of the main Chazicarian ships. Moments later, the Luepolan Kroigruabi 5, another of Luepola's battlegroups, begain sailing westward towards the fight, to hammer the IRN Armada from the rear.

"MAYDAY, MAYDAY! SAL LNS Kadaraj! Os ataska airu impakta ketí lun! Mále alpe!"

The call rang out again through the Surogorsk's radio, followed by an SOS in Morse code.

"Are we not going to do anything about them, Kapitel?" a sailor asked.

"No." Captain Vargev replied. "We cannot risk it. They've been hit by an airstrike, which means they've been found. There's no doubt that their navy and air force are watching that sector like a hawk. It's best we stay away from it. If the other sub commanders are smart, they will stay away as well. As harsh as it sounds, it's what that commander deserves. He could've dove at any moment to evade their sonar and/or missiles, but he didn't, and now he'll have to answer to the Roskians when they come and pick up his survivors- or, possibly, when the planes return to finish him off."

The sailor was silent. He feared that they might be next. During Vargev's short pause, he could still hear the transmission being broadcast.

"I only hope he's smart enough to scuttle the fucking sub. That was Eras Madecku. He would forget to do something like that."

"Kapitel Madecku? I thought he was a great guy."

"I've talked with him before. He's a nice guy, and a wonderful strategist. But he's terrible when it comes to submarine battle tactics. That's why he's been sunk. I wouldn't call myself the best naval tactician here; that honor has to go to Azov Nurenk- you know, Marza Maccenkirken's trophy husband- over on the LNS Vuodz up north, but I'd say I'm smart enough to recognize the average submarine captain's fuck-ups in that area."

The broadcast stopped.

"What happened to them?" the sailor asked.

"I don't know. Let's find out." Vargev said, as he opened a satellite link to allow him to see the situation from above.

On the ground, 3 miles into Carsodonia
5:30 PM Local Time

The Cydonian assault slammed into the Valaran forces. They seemed to have detailed intel of VRF dispositions, though the swfitly shifing nature of the recent combat had meant that it not totally effective. Even so, their artillery barrage and aerial strikes tore into the exposed positions on the flank. Any expectation of a swift Valaran victory was wiped out in those moments. It was replaced uncertainty and spectral dread.

Henrik gritted his teeth at the sudden onslaught. His men and women bore the brunt of the Cydonian barrage, even as they were holding off the Carsodonian forces, and the casulties already stretched into the hundreds for his battalion alone. The Cydonian ground assault then hit, and fresh troops began to pummel the exposed and embattled Valarans. Tracer fire streaked through the fog, and the chains of explosions mixed the solid air with earth as the battle was punctuated by the cries of men and weapons, the guttural sounds of war. The fighting was intense and ferocious, as the VRF attempted to hold off the overwhelming numbers with whatever strength they could summon. They were losing ground fast though, and Cydonians began to pour over outer positions, the wave barely breaking stride. For all their equipment and tactical power, the VRF were outnumbered and outgunned, and any defensive positions they formed were quickly flanked; they just didn't have the numbers to hold ground and the Cydonians were able to quickly exploit any opportunities granted by their bombardment. The battalion couldn't hold them back for long, but they would make damn sure to cost the Cydonians for every yard of ground they gained.

Malkan was silent as the first mass of reports came in. The 5th was barely holding the Carsodonians to the front, and the new assault was a critical blow.
The colonel General was ashen faced as he deliberated. He needed to react fast; without support Henrik would be overrun and the entire western flank would shortly follow. In luck of a grim kind, the Cydonians seemed to have only focused on the right flank for now, allowing some tactical flexibility.

A rough plan was quickly formed. The second armoured brigade was diverted west, along with 1,500 mechanised infantry, while another 2,000 formed an ad hoc reserve. Malkan threw everything else to screen them, and the remaining 5,500 soldiers of central and eastern command of Coloenls Sethren and Spears strove to hold back the Carsodonians. The artillery at the border was hurriedly repositioned to give a return barrage, though they had also started to be targeted.

It wouldn't be nearly enough. At best, he knew they would only delay the inevitable, and not for long; their position was hopelessly untenable. The 5th was fixed in position by the Carsodonians, and the Cydonian offensive was the hammer poised to crush them into submission. Even if they did manage to hold off the initial Cydonian assault with whatever forces he could bring up, the VRF would surely be ground down between the two forces. There was only one viable option left. He opened the coms to order a fighting retreat.

The order was never sent. Malkan had paused, the relief in Sethren's voice as equally welcome as the information he gave.

"Colonel-General, a Hayabusan relief force has just arrived. They have a task force of 100,000 men, and their armoured units have just flanked the Carsondonians position. My side has stabilised, and we should looking at a tactical victory in 20 minutes. What are your orders?"

Malkan gripped the coms. "Support them in every way you can, and get their commander on the line. We need to coordinate a strategy, before the west entirely disintegrates." More orders were reeled off, and the 5th 's units realigned their positions, no small feat for a force under continual fire, without aerial support, and vastly outnumbered on two fronts.

The Colonel-General then opened a channel to Henrik. "Colonel, retreat all your forces to the second line of defence with the second brigade. Hold off the Cydonian assault until I can bring our combined forces round to relieve you. For the 5th."

"For the 5th." Henrik had barely signed off when his command Bradley was rocked by twin explosions; the Cydonians weren't the only ones attacking. The gunner swivelled round, and the chain gun began reeling off shots to the south. Mortar fire began pummelling second waves of Cydonian forces, pinning them down. The enemy advance units were then placed under renewed fire by VRF APCs. It was a temporary measure; the Cydonians responded in kind with their own mortars and quickly began flanking manoeuvres to put the Valarans under crossfire. It was then Henrik called the units back; they had got their breathing space.

Up to this to point, and despite the toll taken by modern AA systems, the enemy had aerial supremacy. However, this changed dramatically, and suddenly. As a renewed wave of Cydonian and Carsodonian aircraft began the strike the retreating Valaran forces, a new set of entrants materialised. Chazicarian stealth fighters, 76 in total, began to launch missiles directly onto the enemy planes. CAS was then conducted by a further wave of fighter-bombers, finally beginning to stem the tide. Meanwhile the second defensive line was being formed in depth, backed up by armour and artillery, while the Hayabusans began to cut through the Carsodonians. Malkan allowed himself a cold smile. The battle hadn't been decided yet.

600 Hours Cydonian-Chazicarian Front
Cydonian Right Flank

The sun was beginning to rise on the front as it had turned down from the fighting the night before. The fields of Chazicaria had been burnt and cratered due to the fight. On the horizon however approached the Bavarians in their heavy armoured army group, the sun to their right as they approached the enemy positions. The PW-012a's made their charge.

The Cydonians were in position to defend themselves, however the Bavarians had already closed in, their tanks numbering in the hundreds with the IFVs ahead and the APCs in columns behind them. The Bavarian Flag fluttered over the vehicles as the soldiers taunted at the enemies. As the Cydonians awoke from the sound of vehicles, the artillery fire began. 152mm artillery guns several miles away in hidden positions opened fire on the enemy positions with intense barrage to allow a break in the lines for the vehicles and infantry to assault with much more ease.

Meanwhile, Bavarian J-4s (Escorted by J-3s that flew two kilometers overhead) fly overhead and onto enemy forest positions, napalm was dropped to scorch their forces to remove the use of such cover and hidden positions. After the napalm was dropped, the J4s using their second armament would begin their bombing runs of the Cydonian reserves in the sector.

The Feldmajor ordered onto the communications of the Bavarian 10th, "Lassen keinen Eroberer lebt! Entfernen Sie die Faschistische!"

700 Hours
Over the Chazicarian Sea near the Second Luepolan Fleet

Several elements of the J4 naval force had been flying in low altitude to avoid the Luepolan RADAR and visuals. The elements had strict communications silence. Should they have been spotted, they'd have failed their mission and remove the surprise of the assault. But the battle was in their favour. The Luepolans were focused on the Chazicarian forces giving the Bavarians the surprise that was needed to make a devastating or slowing blow to the Luepolan forces.

The J4s begun near the enemy fleet with 10 kilometers to go until torpedo launch point. The Anti-Aircraft fire began as the enemy forces had spotted them as they approached towards their fleet. However, it was too late. The Bavarians would be in range in a matter of a minute and the damage would be done.

"Vorwarts! We must have victory or we shall die making the enemy suf-!" the leader of the J4s announced over comms before being hit by the AA himself and turning quickly into the Chazicarian Sea. The J4s flew on with several losses. The first 1,500 kilogram torpedoes dropped into the briny water, beginning to propel towards their intended targets...

659 Hours
Bayern Nationale Zeiten

The news station was bustling with people moving about everywhere, the semi-confusion reached many people. Bavaria had just begun operations against the Cydonians and their allies. The news anchor Wilhelm Stein sat in place and the first cameras began to roll. The time hit 7 AM. "Zuschauer! We have important news from the Augsburg capital, it has officially signed Declaration of War papers allowing for Bavarian Forces to openly engage the Luepolan and Cydonian-Stasnov forces attacking the neighbouring nation of Chazicaria. Forces from the front say success will be swift for the battle but they are not entirely sure for the war and wish not to lie to its people of a swift victory, something that's been lied about many times in the past inside of other nations. Aid has begun to be sent to Chazicaria and the Garrisons on the beaches of Bavaria have begun to mobilize as the war is underway." "Aaaand cut" a Cameraman stated to Stein as he finished his report sighing in his disbelief. War had not been near Bavaria since the 1800s and for something like this to happen had taken the minds of many, but many looked to Jederick and hoped that he knew what he was doing. Bavaria had now officially itself joined the war with its multi-national announcement.

Roskian Economic Naval Activity Zone

Two helicopters descended around the broken submarine, having being launched ten minutes after the missiles hit, and the most elite Special Forces group in Roski prepared to enter the submarine, now refurbished with a gaping hole in the top. The Roskian Special Operations Group was wearing low level radiation suits in case of a reactor leak, and they had biological and chemical suits on incase of a contaminated counter attack.

The Spec Ops landed on the exposed top of the Submarine, and quickly advanced towards the gaping hole. Once they reached it, they threw 4 40mm fragmentation grenades into the hole, and waited for the detonation.

After the detonation, they went into the Submarine, and secured the room they were in. It just seemed like a room, nothing important or of significance in the room. The Spec Ops then immediately kicked down the door to the next portion of the submarine...

There were six men in the room. Without thinking, they fire and kill four of the six, knocking the last two into an unconcious and bleeding state. The Roskians quietly looked for any information they could find. They found a map, with what looked like targets. One of the spec ops member took the map, and then they continued on. They found the communication room. Instead of attacking it now, they place a large charge under some pipes to remain hidden from view, before heading onto another room. They open the door, and quickly kill him. He was communicating on the comm system, and they could hear his name being called continiously. The Roskians put a fragmentation booby trap under his body, before heading to the engine room. Two stayed behind to check for just a few seconds, grabbing a piece of intel from the Lueypolans. They made it to the Engine room, but just before they actually grabbed the door, the booby trap when off.

'ФУЦК!" exclaimed one of the spec ops members. They had very little time. They placed a breaching charge on the door, and as soon as the charge had gone off, a concussion grenade flew into the room. Using the chance, the Roskians stormed the engine room, making quick work of the hostile fighters. However, one of the men is injured in the fight, another grazed. One of the Roskians raised a pistol, and shot the side of one of the boilers. The boiler began a very slight leak as response. Another man then proceeds to detonate the charge outside the comms room.

The Roskians now made their way to the Bridge. The Roskians split into two groups of 6, now beginning to prepare for the final assault. The two guards outside of Door A were quickly removed of. The Two guards at Door B, however, put up a ten second fight against the Roskians. The Rosklans then placed the breaching charges on the doors.
Оне, Тщо, Тхрее, бреач

The doors blasted off the hindges, and the Roskians threw four concussion grenades into the Room. The gunfight was more akin to a massacre, the Roskians wiped out the entire resistance of the bridge in just a few seconds.

The captain of the Submarine sat on the floor, blinking at what had just happened. A Roskian picked him up and slammed him against a wall. The Captian spit in the Roskian's face, before punching him in the jaw. The Roskian responded by slamming the captain into the wall, knocking the captain unconscious.

They then looked at the screens and control panels. Bloody hell said a Roskian under his breath, looking at the 6 submarines listed on the screen. It didn't give their location, unfortunately, but it was enough to know that the Roskians had a very serious problem. They then looked at the gear on board. They jetisonned all the torpedoes, than began to look through the missile arrangement. There were a couple non-nuclear SLBMs, and a large array of cruise missiles. They locked the Cruise Missiles northwards to Adampia, and the SLBMs at the Lueypolan capital.

Тхрее, Тщо, Оне, Щеапонс ащаы!

They grabbed the Captain and began to go back to the engine room. Once there, they placed the rest of their charges in various points of the Submarine. They then prepared to make their leave, heading back towards the hole of the submarine. But once they reached the comms room, a final resistance member fired his uzi down the hallway at the Roskians. This kills a Roskian Spec Ops member and significantly wounds another, and slightly wounds two others. And the captain was also hit, but at the time, the Roskians didn't know the captain's status. They quickly evacuated the wounded - including the captain first, then the rest left on their own. They looked back, and as soon as the smoke from the sub could be seen on the horizon, a massive fireball engulfed the remains of the submarine. Mission success.

Qubecois-Sde Dovian border

"ИНЦОМИНГ!" went over the comms as the Roskian pilots encounted Qubecois missile resistance.

"Фуцк, бреак БРЕАК!" was the immediate response, and the massive contigency of Roskian craft broke their formation. The RKZ-1 was an agile warplane, and could handle the stress very well of a rapid and sudden turn. The planes then spit out flares, some missiles getting caught in the flares, others reaching their target or ending up chasing the RKZs. But, the Roskians were only occupied for so long, and the SAM's continious firing meant that it permanently stayed on radar for them. For now, the Aerial battle had now turned drastic for the poor Qubecois. RKZs found their targets and began raining all sorts of hell on them.

Aplak 7-9, a member of the Roskian RSS Mikiy Supercarrier Air Wing of the Roskian Fourth Fleet (OOC: I've really got to name these fucking airwings something), began his reign of terror on the Qubecois missile defences below. The pilot found his mark, a Qubecois SAM site firing at some other poor soul, probably unaware of 7-9.

"Смарт бомб лоцкед. Щеапон лоадед анд хот. Фиринг," stated the pilot, firing one of the biggest ground attack smart-bombs in the Roskian Arsenal, a 655 pound Laser Designated Aerial Detonation System, dubed "No dad" due to an accident during testing. The smart bomb was simply a massive explosive with magnesium alloy inside, causing a flame that burns out when the Magnesium is all burned. This is to ensure that the target cannot be safely salvaged by the enemy, and also to make sure that the men surrounding the target would learn how it felt to be inside a microwave. The bomb sucked all oxygen out of the air with a diameter of 6.1 cms outside the bomb, causing a temporary choking feeling to the target just before detonation. There was also a chemical side-effect due to the oxygen-magnesium and explosive reaction, but all the reaction really did was create a mildly harsh smell, it could not harm someone physically.

The entire point of the attack was to show the Qubecois that they could be defeated on their own soil, as well as provide a safe entry point for Sde Dovian actions, and once the SAMs near the border were eliminated, the Roskian warplanes would return to their respective carriers to prepare for the amphibious invasion.

The Forth Fleet continued to fire missiles at Qubec's coast, and prepared non-nuclear SLBMs to be fired at the Capital of Qubec.

LOCATION: Serbian Territorial Waters
TIME: 15:31/3:31 PM

The Serbian Naval Forces has finishes its Aircraft carrier which was under construction, but with more Aircraft carriers coming from the Roskian allies, the Air Force can operate in open waters then. "3... 2... 1... FIRE!" and a Anti-ship missile comes out of the water and hits an old testing ship which isn't used since 1987. The Serbs are testing if the missile work properly, but there are different types of anti-ship missiles hidden underneath Serbian water, such as the Anti-ship ballistics missiles. Srpska soon will build 3 ICBM launcher submarines, they're mainly going to be used for launching ICBMs on enemy mainland. The Admiral says "Hope those Roskian ships will soon arrive to our mainland, then we can leave our waters and head for Qubec. We first need permission to leave our waters, but I can wait for that".

PROJECT "Vukova Munja"

Project "Vukova Munja" or "Wolf's Lightning" is about building an Stealth Fighter, at the same time an bomber, capable to reach a high speed limit. The head of this project Nikola Lazevski says "This will be the largest aircraft our nation will ever have. After it is done, we will have to test it, if it has some problems it will be under maintenance". The manufacturer who is building this has plans to build 3 more after the first one is done and successfully tested. The stealth fighter/bomber will mainly be having ground-attack, but partly a air combat system. It will be capable to reach high attitude and not so easy to detect by the Anti-air radar system. The stealth fighter/bombed will get the name "VM-1 Sava" due to its Srpska's biggest Air Force project.

Executive Office of the President of the Republic of West Aurelia

The eternal state, conquered by no enemy

FROM: Stephen Hayes, President of the Republic of West Aurelia
TO: James Alstan, Prime Minister of the Empire of Valaran

Dear Mr. Alstan,

I would like to address a few of the points in the communiqué I recently received.

  • In the eyes of West Aurelia, a legitimate casus belli for hostilities against Cydonia and its allies has yet to be presented. Despite my repeated calls for one, there has yet to be an unbiased, independent investigation into the November 27, 2014 Hayabusan-Cydonian border incident, which led to a rise in tensions and eventually the current conflict. Without definitive evidence that Cydonian forces intentionally breached the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Hayabusa, there is no casus belli.
  • I would like to thank the Valaran Empire for its efforts to preserve neutrality and its distribution of humanitarian aid to civilians in Valaran-controlled territory. West Aurelia is open to assisting in the distribution of aid to affected civilians; however, due to the current volatile situation, said aid may not be available for the time being. I trust that the Valaran Empire will uphold its commitments to the fullest.

IC
It is a cool day with blue sky and sunshine, the view of the marina is beautiful. Sitting on the balcony, sipping coffee and making small bites of a French toased omlet sandwich, I enjoy my breakfast. I live in a small appartment on the 3 floor of a shore-front building. I can hear the radio back in my kitchen, reporting the current conflict of the region. '' War...war...war! can people just get along with each other peacefully?'' I complain to myself. Then it struck me, ''soon, I am going to get a job in this mess...life of an Agent...'' I mumble. For quite sometime now, the Association has been quiet, but this is a regional conflict so it is a gold mine and for sure the Boss is not going to leave it alone.

CYDONIAN SOLDIER APREHENDED BY BRATISLAVIAN TROOPS ON BORDER

Image
Bratislavian Special Forces holding the captured Cydonian solider

Bratislavian border troops have captured a Cydonian Solider who they say had illegal entered Bratislavian territory and was on a reconanasance mission. They the the soldier was part of a larger group of Cydonians that managed to escape upon detection. Bratislavian Defense Officials say that the soldier has confessed to trespassing the border to conduct spying activities, and that the enemy soldier will be punished to the fullest extent.

President Robert Nikolev quickly condemned the incidient as a blatant violation of Bratislav's sovereignty and a clear hostile act on behalf of the Cydonian Government. He has said such incidents will be treated with the utmost severity and that the Cydonians should expect a proper response to their violation of Bratislav's sovereignty. He has said that the captured soldier will be punished as an enemy combatant and will recieve no leniency.

The Cydonian Soldier in question was questioned on State Television and subsequently confessed on national television to tresspassing in order to conduct spying activites from order by Cydonian Military Officials.

The incident takes place on the back drop of soaring tensions between the two states amid increasing conflict in the Atlas Region, which many see as having the potential to grow into a greater war between competing alliances and blocs of countries.

Human Rights Groups however have published unconfirmed reports that the Cydonian soldier was subjected to torture by special agents from the Bratislavian Secret Intelligence and that the torture took place via direct orders from the Government. They say the confession may have been forced via such tortures and that the soldier's life is in great risk given the current situation.

Bratislavian Government Officials have slammed the reports as inaccurate and inflammatory. They have reiterated that the Cydonian soldier was conducting illegal activites on Bratislavian soil and that whatever actions are taken against the soldier will be in line with international law. Political experts have raised concerns that Bratislavian Armed Forces may retaliate militarily against Cydonia.

Okay, this is the repost, the other post will be rewritten. And Roski, I will add in my response to you and the others in this post when I edit my original post. We good Chazicaria?

ANS Terperenztz
6:44 AM

The massive armada, 44 ships in total to support the Luepolan invasion force. The massive Terperenztz, a State class nuclear battleship, part of the new class of battleships which went through a large overhaul, now the Terperenztz was even more lethal, the four State class battleships were in the armada, along with 2 Korgen Class super carriers, 8 Sarr Class Missile cruisers, 18 type 86 destroyers, 6 type 97 submarines, and 6 gollam class nuclear submarines. The fleet was delayed in port a extra day, although the fleet had barely made it. The Commander of the fleet ordered the fleet to battlestations a few moments ago, the state had picked the best to serve, veteran crews of the unification wars. With the legend himself, Admiral Gunther Korgen, the namesake of the Korgen class carrier. The Admiral smirked slightly when he picked up the Luepolan fleet on the radar.

"Send our allies a message, it's time we sent our enemies to the bottom." Said the admiral as he took a sip of his tea.

Code: Select all
Standard Adampian Enigma to Luepolan fleet

Greetings, I am sure by now you noticed my fleet on your radar screens, the state trusts this will be a swift victory and as such has tasked me with making this happen.  With the fire power my fleet has, we will rain hell upon our enemies.

Best of luck,
Gunther Korgen
Commander of Battle Group A

The message was sent, the admiral took out his binoculars, he knew about the new radar system, and how it could pick up low pressure ridges generated by stealth planes, although they were very small ridges, their enemies would be surprised none the less.

He turned to a officer and said, "Launch them, I want the skies full of Adampian fighters."

Shortly after the decks of the carriers were launching fighters that took to the skies, 40 in all would be launched, with another 60 to follow from the two large carriers, the fleet was in the usual diamond formation, the four battleships closest, the cruisers, then the destroyers, the radar systems of the cruisers, battleships, and carriers had linked up to form a net, the systems were functioning as designed, the Admiral felt bad for any enemy plane or missile that got caught up in the net. There wasn't going to be a massacre again. The fighters were on the hunt, their orders were to blast anything out of the sky that was Chazicarian. The crews on the battleships began to load the large 20 inch armor penetrating shells and began the wait for a enemy ship to be in the 11 mile range of the guns that's if the ship managed against the missile attacks of the various batteries of missiles, nearly double the batteries of the Sarr class missile cruiser, the state class battleship wasn't a threat to be taken lightly.

The captain on the ANS Terperentz looked at the missile officer and said, "launch the anti-ship missiles, fire batteries 16 and 15."
In a few seconds 20 anti-ship missiles launched into the skies toward the Chazicarian fleet followed by the vollies of all of the battleships and missile cruisers for a total of 240 missiles (20 x 4 battleships x 8 missile cruisers) bound for the Chazicarian fleet, it was impressive, the skies filled with missiles, the fleet had only begun it's attack...

Meanwhile...

The sub fleet was just behind the main force, looking for other enemy submarines and surface ships, one submarine in particular a type 97 diesel electric, the newest class of submarines, very hard to detect on sonar with every design detail meant to be silent, even the motors were put on rubber supports so no motor noise could escape.

ANS Injar, the type 97 submarine in question, commanded by Tamya Korgen, the admiral's daughter had gained a reputation of being a excellent submarine commander. During the unification wars she had became nearly a legend, sinking merchant ships, and even several submarines and destroyers with her seemingly insane tactics including ramming a air dropped torpedo before it could arm itself. Her first wolf pack of type 97's included five other submarines, assigned to sink the warships and submarines, which she loved being assigned hard objectives.

Radar Station 944 SHR, Adampia

"Sir, I got some contacts, a few stealth bombers and planes, but for some reason the system has evaluated them as a non threat." Said the Radar operator.

"Hmm, looks like they originated from Roski judging by their headings, is there a squadron near by?" Said the commander of the station.

"Yes, the 332nd fighter wing, should I call them over to investigate?"

"Hang on with that, just call them but don't engage the targets, I am sure this is probably some sort of mistake." Said the commander.

12 minutes later...

"There are stealth bombers, you will need to link with the base radar to get targeting information, let's hope it's a mistake and they will turn around, but you have clearance to engage if they cross, we got million of civilians counting on us, but if all else, remember we got powerful anti-air defenses that have been built over years and years, they are as good as gone if they don't turn back." Crackled the commander on the radio.

The AM-226 was the main stay of the Shapstell, designed as a multirole fighter, it's forward swept wings allowed for superior handling and along with it's two powerful engines it has a max speed of mach 3.5 or 2664 mph. Developed by the Groom aircraft corporation, the plane has been a main stay ever since.

The fighter arrived at the coordinates, "There isn't anything here." Said the flight lead. "Did the radar tag it as a threat or non threat?" Asked the flight lead.

"It was a non-threat, go ahead and resume your patrol, this new system I don't fully trust yet, thanks for checking it out."

"Roger, 332nd returning to patrol."

The flight lead radioed his squadron, "Alright guys, lets go back, false alarm." The planes broke away and went back to their patrol, while word reached back to the Rock.

My empress, today we picked up fake contacts, Roskan from what the radar system says.  I figured I should tell you, I personally recommend going to wartime readiness just in case they try something.

Tragedy Strikes

The cruise missiles launched from a captured Luepolan submarine were bound for the home country, yet the AA defense grid detected them and launched multiple missiles to destroy the cruse missiles before they killed innocent civilians. Only one managed to get through, although damaged by a close explosion of a anti-air missile, the engines malfunctioned causing it to crash and explode in a small city of Vesk, killing about 120 innocent civilians, the city was heavily damaged as fires destroyed many of the buildings including the fire department, the firefighters could only watch as a quarter of the city burned to the ground.

The empress wasn't happy, and like usual she called in her generals for a meeting. Her passion for Adampia showed when they suggested another course of action she flipped her lid like usual, her booming voice was heard throughout the sixth floor, while her staff stood out side, she excused most of the military staff except two generals when she really let lose. While outside a few of her staff started tearing up in fear, the military staff tried to comfort them, then silence after she brought up the bombing of Vesk. But to their surprise the session was short so they opened the door and walked inside to find her on the floor having spasms and drooling.

"Shit, we need a ambulance here." Yelled a general, the staff performed CPR and tried with a defibrillator to revive her as paramedics arrived and hauled her off. But it was all for not as she was pronounced dead on arrival, their great leader had passed, the two generals in the room were immediately stripped of their rank and forced into early retirement. But all wasn't lost, a little known daughter carried on the hope of a nation. Hira Minski, she changed her last name to make it easier for her to spell it out, however she was extremely intelligent thanks to years of studying at some of the best schools in Adampia.

She was immediately sworn in, yet she was still sad from losing her mom, she knew she had inherited a mess, and needed to act fast to keep the ideals that her mom had fought for alive. One wrong mistake and the empire would fall apart into a mess of civil disorder and civil war. Yet she had a plan, she wanted to show the world that Fascist nations could get along with everyone and shouldn't be limited to just working with fellow fascist countries.

The very next day she began working to fix the problems, she reinstated the imperial council and brought back the members of the council from prison giving back their right to meet. The state news was buzzing about the new choice like bees, especially when she passed several new bills to allow workers to form unions and increase the wages to gain the people back, although they were skeptical and still needed to fully trust the empress.

State Newspaper

New Leader Promises New Prosperity and Freedom

In several shocking moves, Hira has given back many new freedoms that were once stripped away. Today the imperial council met today to discuss what actions should be taken and how to put a end to the war. The hackactivist group grey wolves loaded a youtube video congratulating the new empress on her decision to reinstate the council saying that she has given back the voice of the people. As well as passing a bill allowing workers to unionize without threat of imprisonment or termination from their job and to ultimately take people off of the government ran aid programs millions depend on by wage increases.

Meanwhile...

The wealthy CEO's were livid, angered by the millions demanding fair wages now that the government had made their powers into nothing. In the meeting they had, a evil plan was developed to cause the economy to go into free fall to force the government to reverse it's new plans and blame it on the empress to force the military to imprison her. They had spend hours planning it in secret, they knew once they lost the people the government would be powerless to prevent them from completely taking over and creating a even more evil government where they would enslave the population and force them to cater to every whim they had.

Now they began...

The Rock

The new empress was happy, she liked watching the news this day, the journalists were interviewing many people, all were excited to see the government start to stand up to the corporations. Although a few were doubtful and said it was a plot since everything the government does is a plot. She sighed, but in her knowledge she knew the people would doubt her initially, so she needed to be careful. Then several CEO's walked into her office just like the anticipated and opened several brief cases stuffed with Daammarks.

"We give you this money and those bills disappear, this will become a civil disaster other wise." Said the CEO's.

"No, you know whats funny, I knew you would show up." Said the empress as she pulled out her gun and said on the intercom, "Okay, get in here."

Then two units of Sal Kar operatives came in through the door with their assault rifles drawn, the empress smirked, "you realize I have full support of everyone, even the military was tired of your corruption, it ends today, I only hope the judgement center is kind, they got evidence a mile long, you can't fit in with the new government, well your out of here. Alright guys, take them away and get this damn money out of here and lock it up as evidence." Said the empress as the agents hauled the 4 CEO's away to a cheering crowd outside the capitol.

She sat back in her chair and hit play to resume the news, her speech was in a few minutes, but first she had a message to send.

Secret Message to Stasnovan Government
From Empress Hira Miniski

I understand we don't exactly see eye to eye right now, especially with the past close calls.  Unfortunately my Mother, the past empress passed away last night with a stress induced heart attack.  And I would by lying if I said my nation was stable, but I plan to change the government and rebrand Adampian Fascism by giving freedom back to the civilians, but due to the recent tensions, I am writing the message in secret because I am the new leader and I don't want the people to get suspicious since the recent stand off.  With the new changes I ordered the ASIS to destroy all of the intel collected on your country and grant asylum to any spies currently in my country as long as they come clean.  I hope my trust is in the right place, and maybe in the future I might lift the travel ban if you chose to cooperate.

Signed,
Hira Miniski
Empress of the Fascist State of Adampia

Retribution

Hira was mad over the fact they killed over a hundred Adampian civilians, after a report by several senior military members it was determined that Roski could have captured the submarine, the same country that attempted to fool the radar system but to little avail. Yet the loss of innocent civilians angered her, so it was time to strike back, but at the military, coordinates were loaded into multiple non-nuclear ICBM's and launched, 120 in total were targeted at various military targets with another 120 shortly behind. The goal was to destroy Roski's ability to fight and force them out of the war or at least weaken them, Operation Dread was the name, the stockpile of land based ICBM's was large and could very well weaken the defenses to launch bombing runs to completely erode their military abilities. The empress sent a message a few minutes after the last ICBM's would have hit their last targets.

Your killing of innocent Adampian civilians won't go unpunished, consider this your warning.  You will answer to your crimes once this war has ended.

Cydo-Chazicarian border , 6-7:00 A.M.

"INCOMING! INCOMING! CONTACTS FRONT!" Colonel Kirilov of the 2nd Guards Tank Regiment, 1st Guards Tank Division heard the voice of Lt. Colonel Ivashov, commander of his 2nd Battalion screaming on the radio of his PRB-93AK. The comms channels were flooded by combat reports, mainly regarding enemy artillery fire and CAS.

Just then, the laser warning system of the tank started making its annoying beep sound, that indicated that an enemy ATGM was coming at them.

"Firing neutralisers!" yelled Kirilov. Seconds later, he heard a loud explosion sound outside the tank. The incoming ATGM was destroyed by the tank's Okhrana Hard-Kill Active Protection System. He looked through his periscopic sight and spotted an enemy MBT some kilometres in front of him.

"Target spotted! 11 o'clock, enemy tank moving towards us! Load SABOT round!" Kirilov heard the sound of the autoloader loading the round into the gun. The advanced fire control system of the PRB-93A calculated the distance, target type etc. and brought the gun into position.

"Loaded!" shouted the gunner

"Fire!"

The APFSDS round flew directly towards the enemy MBT. It impacted on the lower part of its hull. The enemy tank was immobilised, some seconds later, smoke started coming out of its hatches. It was a kill.

Kirilov grinned. The show had just begun.

----------------------------

The invasion force had smashed on the the Chazicarian defencive line like the waves that slam on the massive rocks in the Northern Coast of Stasnov. It was brutal. Shells were rainning on the Stasnovan armor as it advanced, and in addition to the aerial bombardement, the whole place turned into a hell hole. The next generation ERA bricks mounted on the top gave them enough protection against the enemy shells, but still, casualties were taken, 11 PRB-74M2s and PRB-74M3s along with 2 PRB-93As were destroyed. A number of APCs and IFVs was also destroyed, taking the infantry they were transporting with them. Casualties reached about 240 men.

But the Stasnovan response was brutal. The tanks, IFVs and APCs engaged with their ATGMs before their Chazicarian counterparts as they possesed longer range than the 120 mm guns. The enemy ATGMs did minimum damage as most of the Stasnovan APCs, IFVs and MBTs were equipped with Hard-Kill and Soft-Kill Active Protection Systems. The Heavy Explosive Reactive Armor of the PRB-73M3s and PRB-93As could withstand cannon and ATGM fire from enemy tanks and AT positions. Tanks equipped with EMT-7 electromagnetic-counter mine systems and other demining equipment were moving forward to counter enemy mines.

Long and Short range SAMs were fired at Chazicarian aircraft. The dual 2A38M 30 mm autocannons of the Pantsir S-1 anti-aircraft weapon systems roared as they enganged Chazicarian helicopters and low flying aircraft.

This was when the reserves were called. The 3rd Guards Motor Rifle Division, along with the 34th and 83rd Guards Motor Rifle and the 26th Separate Guards Tank Regiments, 18,000 men. The motor rifle units would make dismounted attacks on enemy weak spots, and the heavily armored units would reinforce the units already engaged in frontline combat. The dismounted infantry would make an extensive use of thermobaric weapons such as the RPO-A Shmel shoulder-fired rocket system. These troops were also supported by TOS-1 220mm thermobaric multiple rocket launcher to destroy enemy fortifications as well as Pantsir S-1 systems for air defence. The infantry would also utilize a large number of MANPADS.

As the 26th Separate Guards Tank Regiments came into combat, the men noticed that the Regiment's tanks were different that the usual PRB-74s/93s used by all Stasnovan Tank units. These were larger, bulkier and much more intimidating. 85 brand new, 4th-Generation PRB-105A Volk Main Battle Tanks were thrown into combat. With their 1650 hp engines roaring, their treads crushing the snow and their main guns and machine guns rainning hell, they entered the fury of the battle, though they were still firing from a longer range when compared to the other Stasnovan and Cydonian tanks.

Metohija Island Naval Base
SNS Karkanov

The SNS Karkanov was a Borei-class submarine of the Stasnovan Revolutionary Navy's 11th Submarine Division. It was slowly moving some metres bellow the surface. Some kilometres next to them, the ships of Carrier Strike Group Delta, the 7th Guided Missile Cruiser Squadron, and the 2nd Anti-Submarine Ship Division were patrolling. ASW Kamov helicopters were in the air, patrolling the area. A Cydonian AWACs soared above the submarine accompanied by a flight of Stasnovan MiG-29Ks.

Some minutes later, three of the VLS cells of the Karkanov opened. The warheads of three non-nuclear ICBMs were visible. Just then, the alarm that indicated a launch went off in the submarine. The three ICBMs were fired one minute later. They propelled themselves to the surface and started gainning altitude.

These missiles were flying towards three points on the northern Chazicarian line of defense that the most dense enemy troop concentration was witnessed. They would likely inflict a small number of casualties on friendly forces as well, but the cause was worth it.

Yes i know this is a Typhoon and not a Borei. ShuddapImage

Roskian Territory
Stasnovan Military Bases in Roski

The Stasnovan soldiers in Roski were alerted since the start of the war. Once, they wore just their Digital Flora service uniforms, and some part of their equipment. Now they were in full combat gear. Tanks, APCs and IFVs blocked the gates of the bases, helicopters were patrolling their perimetres and SAM sights were set. Some combat ships stationed in the Stasnovan naval base ton the Roskian coast left port, but remained in the vicinity of the naval base. Once allies of the Motherland, the Roskians were now possible enemies. The Stasnovan flags were still waiving proudly in those bases. But not for long.

The commander of all Stasnovan forces in the Convist Republic of Roski Lt. General Adam Romanov reached an agreement with the Roskian commanders. The Stasnovan troops along with their equipment were to be escorted to the Stasnovan Naval Base and return home in their own transports. The Roskian Federal Navy would escort them until they meet the Stasnovan Carrier Strike Group Bravo in the waters south of West Aurelia.

F-111 flight, Qubec-Sde Dov Border, 19:30, January 15

The F-111s flew low, almost hugging the ground. Their terrain-following radar worked in conjunction with the terrain following radar, adjusting the planes altitude as it flew low over the ground. The mission: strike Qubecois military building along the capital, and to minimize civilian casualties. Inside the bomb bay were GBU-38 JDAMs, jammer pods and cluster munitions to drop on military bases. F-16s were clearing the way with electronic jamming. On their way out, Wild Weasel anti-radar strikes would clear their path. The pilots were busy adjusting their instruments and checking their fuel. Upon reaching Sde Dovian airspace, a KC-135 would meet them up and give them fuel to return to Glukovo.

Mi-24, over 62 miles from the border of Qubec

'Ten miles to target, you are cleared hot. No civilians in the area.'

Lt. Dragomir Karadizic smiled. He could use his rockets as he pleased, in a potentially devastating sweep on a Qubecois convoy. On the pylons were rockets, AT-2 anti-tank missiles and two AA-11 Archers for self defense. He could see the highway on his night vision goggles. Numerous tanks and APCs were spotted running along the highway. F-16s were providing top cover and anti-radar coverage. Just the perfect turkey shoot, thought Lt. Karadizic with a grin.

"Let's do this", said Lt. Karadizic to his gunner.

M-1, 22nd Armored Bttn, 6th Div,3nd Corps, the border of Qubec, 18:30, January 15

"So then I told him, get your own drink, cause you ain't drinkin' mine!" said PFC. Romeo de Vera as he looked in his viewfinder. The battalion of M-1s cruised down the highway north to the capital. Then the song "Firework" came on. "Remember that scene in "The Interview" when James Franco rode with Kim Jong in that tank?" Laughter then broke out.

"All Boyar units, proceed at full speed. Tanks, battalion strength at 5km, engage at will." said the division commander on the radio.

"Is it live?" asked Lt. Anatoliy Golitsin joked while PFC. De Vera loaded a sabot round into the gun.

"Let's find out, as PFC de Vera loaded the round.

Zerinite Attack Upon Qubec

The idle dragon that of witch was Task Force Red-Orange was waiting for orders from high command. It had been sitting in front of the bay, that of witch leads to Qubec, for days. Boredom was common at the moment. Then the sound of alarms rang, and the men sprinted for their posts. All across the fleet ships moved, and fighters were launched. The fleet brought up it's anchors, and headed forward straight into the mouth of Qubec. Military targets in, and across the bay where targeted without distinction.

VLS doors opened, and out shot Zerinite missiles, as they headed for their targets. One after the other was launched. Then military targets where acquired in the capitol, and then the Missilenought Axiumteria moved forward. Her tube missile launchers opened, and out sprout was the ZBM-Uber-Tomahawk high speed cruise missile. Then the fighter squadrons formed up.

They then moved for the capitol, a massive wave, hundreds total. All carrying the means to deal with almost any target that they will encounter. Most where assigned to fly high, Others where assigned too fly low. Then the AAS fleets moved forward, their destination too land was as close too the capitol as possible.

Zerinopolis

"Has it begun?" asked President Geneva

"Yes, we are now truly at war with Qubec." said FEGAG Gideon

"Finally we have been getting way too close too that nation, I was okay with relations once the Union happened. However the delay too their breaking away, due to Kane's reign that ended one month before it happened is unsettling. Then the sheer speed that they had too be able too get a new monarch, and a new government structure is dawning. Yet I feel as thought that we have found a weakness in that, well Them getting invaded from all sides." Geneva said as she took sips from ehr tea

"That is any nations weakness. Just so happens some can handle it." Gideon responded

"Not this one."

BRATISLAVIAN OPPOSITION STARTS NATION WIDE MOVEMENT FOR SNAP ELECTIONS

Image
Martin Habetov, Leader of the Opposition

Martin Habetov, the leader of the main centrist opposition party (Free Democratic Party) has declared that the opposition has begun nationwide protests and civil disobedience to demand snap elections as a result of wide public discontent with the Nikolev Administration. Habetov is a former economics professor, who entered politics on a center to center-right platform. His party espouses social and economic liberalism, and is seen as more moderate than the ruling Freedom Party. While Habetov and his political allies agree on economically liberal and free market policies, they disagree with the heavy social conservatism and militarism that they see as being implemented by the Freedom Party. Habetov has said in his statement that the President Robert Nikolev and his 'cronies' have established a right-wing police state with direct support from the Nationalistic military. He has said that Bratislav needs a fundamental change in its leadership in order bring about a moderate and democratic leadership, that will use the resources of this country wisely and take back the trust of the people.

Public support and approval of Robert Nikolev has plummeted in recent months as a result of divisive policies set forth by his administration. The Freedom Party has also seen an exodus of moderate, center-right party members who have join the more moderate Free Democratic Party, citing that the Freedom Party's policies have cast it into the far-right realm and alienated the party's more moderate members. Many citizens fear that Nikolev will draw Bratislav in an all out war with Cydonia, and fear further repercussions for the country.

President Nikolev has responded to Habetov's statements saying that they are nonconstructive and that further dividing Bratislav will only weaken the resolve of the country. Nikolev has stated that in these difficult times, it is not the time to divide the country, and Habetov's move's are cold and calculating political moves to weaken the State. He has said that any illegal actions taken by Habetov and his allies will be swiftly punished. Prime Minster Gregorev went a step further labeling Habetov and his allies as 'ungrateful, traitorous dogs', that further the interests of the enemies of Bratislav.

Political analysts see the mass movement by the Opposition as one of the most serious political events in Bratislav's history as an independent Republic. Given Nikolev's public disapproval and unpopularity, the movement may very well gain traction. However, the fierce loyalty of the country's armed forces and police agencies to President Nikolev will prove tricky for the moderate opposition. Analysts believe that the demands put forth by the opposition will not be readily accepted by Nikolev; however, the situation may seriously destabilize the country if friction between the armed forces and opposition escalates.

Analysts view the move as essentially postponing any Bratislavian military campaign in Cydonia. "Nikolev will now have to concentrate on subduing the growing opposition movement and public discontent. He will have to unite the Freedom Party and appeal to moderates. If he doesn't succeed in doing this, he risks losing the Presidency," said one political analyst.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Bratislavian Armed forces has stated that the military is ready to thwart any illegal attempts at regime change and that the country's armed forces stands fully behind the legitimately elected President. As Habetov's statements were published, thousands of protests have filled the streets in Musrum and also in other main cities in Bratislav. They have said that they will not leave nor stop protesting till the demands of the opposition are met. In response, Bratislavian Special Forces and various police forces have been deployed to keep order and calm. President Nikolev has also summoned an emergency National Security Cabinet meeting to discuss the domestic situation and ways to prevent illegal actions against the State. It is reported that high ranking generals and police chiefs were strongly urged to reaffirm their allegiance to President Nikolev.

We thank your Government for the show of support in this time of need. Our domestic situation requires that our borders with enemy states like Cydonia be fortified in case such states wish to take advantage of the domestic situation in Bratislav. Our Ministry of Defense will grant you formal permission to deploy the soldiers at our southern border, along with tens of thousands of Bratislavian Ground Forces and Border Troops that are on high alert in the area.

The palace of versailles, Outside Quebec City

Considering the circumstances the Palace was calm. The entire Royal Guard Service and large amounts of Royal Military forces had secured the Royal Palace. Servants and all non essential personal had been sent home and away from the palace. Inside the palace was usually decorated with cold and some of the most expensive things in the world but the place was bare. Everything down to the dishes had been removed from the Palace and hidden away for save keeping. The doors and windows were sealed allowing the building to get a near hit by a nuclear bomb and still be standing and safe. The Royal Family and the council had already been in the bunker for hours. Prince Lucas sat on a small bed holding Prince Elijah II trying to get him to stop crying. Napoleon stood by the main blast door speaking to the guards about the security of the Palace and the bunker. King Elijah and Prince Alexandre sat along with the Council sat at a small table discussing their options. Right now it was unclear. The Navy had been destroyed, the air force was slowling dwindling down to its last numbers. The only thing they had left was the Royal Army. The Army was strong but they were surrounded and fighting a different enemy from all sides. They were not in a good place. The Army would fight and defend until the end. There was nothing the King or anyone could do about that. They would never surrender even if their king ordered them to. The Air Force would soon have to quite and they had been given ordered that if the time came and they had to surrender they were to take their families and start operation down eagle. The Royals and the council could hold out for weeks even months if they needed to inside of that bunker. Even if every last Royal Guardsmen was killed outside they could still survive down their. The door to the bunker was well hidden and the main entrance could be blowing in if needed. All government documents had already been moved from the Royal Palace so that no useful information could get to the enemy if it did fall. There last hope was that Roski would accept their peace proposal or that the army could hold out. The bunker was quiet. The only sound you could here was the crying baby and the people praying to the gods.

After the near mood-killing march to Sasutaria, we finally arrived at the big lights of Sasutaria; where traffic stopped so that we could pass. The occasional truck passed by our line of marching troops, and often had launched mud and grime into our faces. We arrived at Camp Arthur at 2 A.M. sharp; the laborious exercise got us into shape. we were handed our weapons, vests and all new gear at the encampment. After being told that our "obsolete" uniforms were to be handed over and we were given new uniforms, most of us were astounded at the natural internal heating of the greatcoat and Toque under the Styrofoam and Cloth lined Stahlhelm. The multi-coloured Slacks and numerous ammunition pouches of the Ballistic Vest were a leagues away from the older uniforms. The guns were new aswell, the FM 45 Assault Rifle and XP-Mk1 Fragmentation Grenade, not to mention our sidearms and ammunition dispensary (which was basically a glorified Biscuit tin), were all handed down the line and were factory new. This new equipment gave the entire battalion an uplifted feeling, and we wasted no time in asking the Hauptman whether we could test our weapons, which he systematically refused. With all this, the men at the camp handed each one of us a rucksack, already filled with a half-months' supply of MREs and Liquids; all were packed in thermos' to keep them from freezing in the Cydonian winter.

In the distance, Cruise Ships, Container vessels and regular military transports had all converged on the Port; traders were told to head to St. Sasutaria to off-load their cargo. The ships silhouetted themselves against the glinting ocean, their tall superstructures and cranes blocking the clouds. As each squad, battalion and regiment boarded the vessels, they said their final farewell to their families and friends; our tour of duty was to last an entire year. Again, the artillery guns, tanks and other equipment briefly blocked the sunlight as they passed overhead and into cargo decks, the crane operators ensuring their valuable cargo doesn't get tangled with other cranes. It took a whole two days to load the equipment and the men onboard, the former vessels of luxury now overflowing with grimy teenagers; all of whom were wannabe heroes. As the ships set sail, I could not feel but an air of uncertainty cover our spirits. The tall skyscrapers disappeared over the horizon and officially shut both me and the men up. We looked forward to few days' long voyage across the Northern Ocean to Mirevia, where we were told to immediately disembark the equipment.

Now that we were safely aboard the transports, we were met with the 3rd Fleet and 5th Fleet, and with that 4 of our own Carriers. The men were so elated that we were finally at war that even I could not comprehend. The men were busy cleaning their rifles, smoking or playing cards under deck, and those who were above deck were usually there because they were sick. The Field Marshall, by chance, was aboard my ship and briefed us on the situation on the ground. We were only at war with Cydonia, and that Carsodonia and Qubec were still neutral in our eyes. With all this I just hope we get to Mirevia in one peace.

While out on the deck today, I couldn't help but notice a large sense of pride among the soldiers. Pride that was well warranted. We had the best equipment money could buy, and with the help of a detachment of 14,000 men from the Northern Celtasi Union (Viridisolum), we were all elated that we could have a chance at winning a war for once. The men danced and chanted to songs and as noon arrived, the entire fleet fell silent as the National Anthem (Atlas shall always stand) played aboard every transport, destroyer, cruiser and Carrier. To end the day, I won C$120 in a match of Pool (Billiards) against Hauptmann Mackenzie; I can simply say he wasn't too pleased. Truly a wonderful day to start a conflict. Roger out.

Nikola Naval Base

The base was still active after the bombing. Many of the enemy rounds had landed on buildings or infrastructure that was simply sitting by as reserve for other ships or other purposes. Much of what was actually in use escaped damage or destruction. This was the result of the lack of research on the opponents part. Though, being a national base research would have been quite difficult anyways. The military only released so much information, and civilians who did not work at these places were not allowed for some miles...

However, the entire force was back at the base, amongst the local staff who were rebuilding parts of the base. The ships were busy to however, they sat within the docks preparing for leave. Such a move would probably be announced to the public quite soon. "Officially", the word was there were to be naval drills. While it appeared completely normal, the timing still seemed a bit off. The drills were supposed to be off the coast of the Republic which was traditional, however, in the middle of such a close conflict it was worrying.

However unknown to them there was a different plan, Admiral Ladislav Doležal had issued orders to all fleet commanders of the plan by official classified documents, delivered personally. It was revealed to them the actual reasons they were leaving, and it was two-fold. The President had finally admitted that the war was spreading abroad. To insure...relative neutrality...the Navy would leave port and secure access routes, and launch a possible rescue operation of high level individuals, though this would be performed by a second force. The hours of the day passed, and night came. The two forces began to leave port and head into open waters, leaving their base and their country behind.

President Announces Naval Drills Amid Tensions and War

Presidet Petrovitch has announced that after again meeting with military commanders, Naval drills will be conducted off the coast of our nation in international waters to insure our security against any possible and sudden attacks, such as those few that disturbed our nation during the Kozelski crisis. However, with the tensions and destruction of that crisis now at an all time low, problems have risen elsewhere in the region. The President announced the drills would take place for only several days, and that upon completion the ships and crew would return home. There is great concern among majority of the population over the recent outbreak of conflicts in the region, especially that allegations and evidence has been brought forward pointing towards civilians being targeted in nations like Qubec. With these drills the President has expressed hope that such horrible acts will be prevented here.

Strategic Overview

With the engagements with Cydonia and Carsodonia now in full force, the Valarans were now truly committed. The die was cast and there was nothing the socialists could do to halt their involvement now. Support for the war was riding high at 64%, and the public's anger had flared up. Dans Surefire and the other casulties now provoked outrage. Meanwhile the nobility were also surprisingly upbeat about the whole affair, and the educated elite were divided in their views.

Skarn's forces were now in the Bay of Edenguard, and with the possibility of a new front in Mirevia, it seemed a new blow could be struck against Cydonia in retaliation for its attack on Malkan and the 5th. If not, the General was confident that his experienced force, now with air support and a secure naval supply line, would be able to inflict heavy damage in Carsondonia, possibly even tipping the balance.

It was decided for the other Fleet to bypass Quebec without incident. They would need all their weaponry for Carsodonia, and with the enemy naval offensive at Chazicaria, they might be redeployed there to assist the allied nation now under attack.

Also of concern was the Ausitorian fleet. While the war appeared to progressing well, any attempt by that nation involve itself would almost certainly end badly and such a force was not to be reckoned with lightly. The war was truly heating up as the Valaran Empire plunged deeper into the fires of conflict.

Dear President Hayes,

I would like to thank you for your response. Our friendship with West Aurelia remains as strong as ever.

I am happy to agree to an investigation, though I should stress that may be hard to achieve in the circumstances, given the current conflict now directly involves Cydonia.

Concerning the legality of the war, I cannot speak for the actions of my except to say that there seems to have been significant provocation by opposing forces, and that they regarded this as sufficient to warrant a pre-emptive strike. We take no position, except to say that we support our allies in their hours of need.

We shall endeavour to continue our distribution. Civilians should not have to suffer the horrors of conflict.

The new Valaran government shall support a peace process. However, both sides would have to agree to any armistice, and currently there is a lack of international pressure within Atlas for such a thing, let alone amongst the belligerents themselves.

We pray for peace in these troubled times. But we will stand by our allies.

sincerely,

I am not given to the art of words, and I am no diplomat so please forgive my briefness:

I would like to request to use your nation to unload my forces for the current Conflict in Curente. This will mainly be distribution of supplies, general logistical requirements and transporting the VRF to the areas of fighting, though with your permission, Mirevia could be used as a staging point for an assault into Cydonia. My government will naturally reimburse any costs this incurs on your nation.

Of course, I completely understand if you wish to remain neutral, or if you do not want foreign soldiers to trespass on your land, given the recent crisis that resulted from a similar action. Any refusal will be no slight to us, and our alliance will not be hurt. We will uphold your neutrality if you feel this is best for your nation.

Greetings comrades,

We are deeply saddened and disappointed by the actions of both the Roskian and the Valaran governments. While we understand the Valaran troops were sent to fight before the rise of the Socialist Party to power, we cannot understand the actions of the Roskian Convist government against the sovereign state of Carsodonia.

The Cydonian military, along with Stasnovan support, was forced to launch a rightful a counter-invasion of Chazicaria in order to halt the imperialist interests of the Chazicarian government in Carsodonia. This is what we have come to gentlemen.

The Premier and General Secretary, Nikolai Krasnov urges both governments to order their troops to not attack forces belonging to PPDC nations, unless they are in self defence as a temporary solution, before a more peaceful resolution to hostilities between PPDC member nations is found. Let's bring an end to intra-alliance conflicts.

Classified Location,Mirevia
MRAF War Room
15:56/3:56PM Local Time

The Empress was pacing around the room, her azure-colored eyes, which all General's had feared her infamous death stare, looking around, in her white Imperial,Diamond-Studded dress. All of the Generals and Advisers present in the dimly-lit room stood silent, waiting for her to speak. They all had knew the Empress had wanted to keep Mirevia out of the war,but with the Curente War so close to home, the fighting drawing closer to the northern border, that peace was no longer an option, considering by show of nation's leaders that they would possibly send spies to the doorstep, even to a neutral nation.

She returned to her place at the table, still standing up,before finally speaking.

"Gentlemen,I know Mirevia has not seen war in decades, and I thought I would never have to drag Mirevia into war, especially one as bloody as this." She paused as she took a drink of her water, then continued to speak. "But,I will be damned if I let this nation fall, after my mother and father had fought so hard for almost five decades,to attain Mirevian Unity. The threat of a war has long been on our doorstep, even before the conflict broke out to this war,and it is our time to answer the call and defend the Empire." As she finished her mini-speech,she sat back down.

It was General Asari Raidan who spoke form his chair.

"Your Majesty,Do not worry yourself so much. We all know what we signed up for." He took breath then continued "The breach into Bratislav was unnecessary, and i'll be damned if any one in the room tells me different. We believe in your leadership and that you will guide us to the Light in these hard times..besides peace doesn't last forever." As he finished,a courier smashed into the room.

The Empress stood up,giving the tall, brown haired man,her infamous death stare.

"I should have you thrown in the dungeon! What do you want?" She said fiercely

The courier shaking, now realizing the mistake he made by barging in,replied "I apologize,Your Majesty. I have a letter from General Skarn."

"Valaran? Let me see that." She walked over to the courier, taking the message from his hands, opening it.

The Empress returned to her seat before speaking again.

General Skarn,

Your briefness is forgiven and your timing is impeccable, friend.

I will grant you permission for Mirevia to be used as a staging point for VFR Forces as long as The Empire of Valaran still lives up to it's alliance treaty, signed by myself and your leader, long ago. Most of MRAF is deployed along the northern border,so they will most likely be accompanying you and your men to a FOB in Mirevia and on the way through Mirevia.

While I have wished to remain neutral,it seems it cannot be so,with Cydonia sending spies into countries uncalled for. I am weary that the Cydonian Government might try this of Mirevia or worse..invade The Empire.

The Mirevian Royal Navy will escort you and your men past the blockade, into territorial waters.

Sincerely,Ally and Friend,
The Empress of Mirevia
Empress Akira Wolfe-von Stauffenberg.

She finished writing back to the General, before putting the pen back down and speaking.

"Gentlemen, have the Royal Navy be ready to receive all Valaran soldiers. Dismissed."

With that she left the war room.

Towards The Capitol We Go
Forever, And Ever We Hold

The AAS fleets had arrived close too the coast, Battleships launching missiles at key enemy targets in the capitol, and firing their cannons in anger at any hostile target in range. The feeling was weird as the troops got into their helicopters, and small transports. Several years ago, Zerinfriom sent a massive armada too liberate Qubec, then it was whipped out. Then it sent a small force to help Qubec in it's next civil war, and it was quite successful. Now Zerinite guns, missiles, boots where too fight Qubec. It was a weird feeling, a select few remember when their massive troop transports where struck, along with the rest of the fleet by the spears of Odin from Exantos. The green light flashed.

Helicopters took off, ships, and boats set their course for their landing beaches. Bullets flying over head, and at the helicopters. The battleships pounded at the enemy forces firing at the invasion forces. However it was expected that a few transports or Helicopters might go down.

(Malicaitus Point Of View)

I heard the thunder of our legion class battleships 16 inch cannons. It was incredible, the hearing of the bullets, and explosions. the shriek of the shells as they go thousands of miles an hour towards their targets. The swoosh of missiles, and rockets as they sail through the air towards their fate. It was glorious. The Imperial Guard have been training all their lives for this, a few agents where hand picked too lead certain squads, I was one of them.

I am Malicaitus Kirus Takario. The forgotten heir, and a one hell of a lucky inbreed child between my father, and his sister. I don't have many mental or physical defects, In fact I am just plain fine other than my eye sight. However I am not spoken of due too the idiotic, and stereotype believing government. My father never spoke too me for 7 years, and then he kicked me out, and forced me too join the Imperial Guard. They say Emperor Blake Vinz Takario III was a great man, and I may look like him too the hair. However I don't believe he was the best thing that ever happened too Zerinfriom.

Now I am here hearing the shots, and shells of destruction.

Almost at the beach.

"FORWARD FOR THE ZERINITE DOMINION.." yelled the sergeant before being shot right in the head by two machine gun bullets. I sprinted for a shell hole knowing that it was a ZKQ Bombardier shell from a Zerinite battleship, and the policy of never firing at the same place. I pulled out my rifle, and aimed and fired at any Qubecian head I saw, within a few minutes I had claimed 15 unofficially.

We moved for the trenches, men getting gunned down along the way, the brave souls going into this operation knowing they where going too die.

2,000 landed in the first wave, only about 1,250 made it too the trench line.

Then the second wave was launched this time the fleet began firing as much as it can too soften up the enemy for the next push, and too get some heavy work off our backs.

(3rd person point of view)

The battle for the beaches had begun, it was too be one of the hardest fights in recent Zerinite Military History, especially for the men of the first wave. Over 45,000 where preparing too land on the beaches with the second wave too be 10,000 brave soldiers to reinforce the 1st wave. The armor that had landed with the 1st wave was pounding at enemy entrenchments, and placements. Loosing a few IFVs, and APCs. around 5 of the 100 tanks where damaged, but 20 where down, with another 15 that sank with their transports. 750 troops lied dead, or floated dead in the water, the beaches where red with blood of fallen soldiers.

Frigates, and Corvettes moved up as far as they could and began giving even more fire support for the troops of the 1st wave.

Kiraia, Rentalla
Rentalla was ready for war. Over one hundred thousand troops from the Imperial Army had been readied, as well as hundreds of planes, and ships. The first wave of troops had already been sent to Bratislav, and more were expected to be sent soon

Chancellor Lucescu listened as the heads of the Imperial armed forces talked of their preparations.

"Bratislav isn't in the war yet." General Hautala said. "Without Hayabusa's permission to get boots onto their soil our options of aiding this war don't look very good."

"Agreed" said Admiral Ahonen. "In order to join the Southern theaters we would have to send our troops by ship. That's a lot of open water to get through." He paused for a moment. "We need to get our troops to a front in the North." The room was quiet for a while. The public supported war. Some even demanded it. Important allies were fighting, or under threat. Not to mention that some Rentallans considered the Curente conflict a war of ideology. Even the moderate People's party was calling for an increased presence in the conflict.

"What about Mirevia?" Someone finally said, breaking the silence. It was Josef Hovland, the head of the Imperial Office of Intelligence. "Despite being neutral in the start of the conflict their Empress has been highly critical of Cydonia lately, and many believe that she intends to make war against them. I also recently saw a report from Valaran suggesting that they may reach out to them. We may wish to try asking to send troops there." Chancellor Lucescu smiled. She hadn't considered sending troops to Mirevia, but Josef was right. Sedning troops to Mirevia would definitely help them get closer to their goal.

"alright." She said standing. "I'll prepare a message to their Empress. The rest of you continue reparations.

With the region in which you live becoming more unstable we fear that nations such as yours, and Bratislav may soon be sucked into this bloody conflict. We wish to make an offer to you and your people. We have begun sending troops to Bratislav in the hopes that their presence will increase the security of their borders, and be a deterrent from invasion. We wish to offer the same to you. We desire to send troops to be stationed on your border with Cydonia to help defend your territory, and your sovereignty. We eagerly await your response

Southern Bratislav
The first soldiers had arrived In Bratislav. A full division had been sent. Ten thousand troops in total, including fifty tanks, and thirty attack helicopters. A full wing of ground support, and air dominance aircraft had also been sent. The Division was under the command of General Kai Arvesen. They were still ultimately Bratislavan command though.

The troops were immediately sent to the border with Cydonia where they began patrol operations

The Imperial Palace,Mirevia
Throne Room
Local Time:16:30/4:30PM

The Empress, still in her white,diamond-studded dress, was sitting in her throne speaking to another adviser when another courier had entered her throne room. The courier was escorted in by two tall Royal Guards.

When they arrived in the Throne Room,Empress Akira had turned her head to acknowledge them.

It was the courier who spoke.

"Your Majesty, another message for you." He paused, and looked up to the tall guardsmen, sighing looking back at the Empress.

She smiled. "Bring it here, then." the courier followed instructions, walking to the throne, handing the message to her.

She read the name on top of the message, then looking puzzled, continued to read it.

Now,The Empress was extremely puzzled. An unknown nation to her, offering to help. She turned her head to her adviser. "It seems as if the conflict is growing out into all of Atlas."

Merrick had been gazing off in the distance when the Empress spoke.

He had waited for her to finish before speaking. "It seems so,Your Majesty,I'll look in to Rentalla."

She had grabbed a pen from one of the throne's compartments and started writing.

Chancellor Lucescu,

I thank you for and shall accept your offer. It is very unfortunate that Bratislav is being dragged into this, for unexplainable reasons, but it is also very calming to know I have many allies in this,as well as more that I do not know very much about, such as yourself. I would like to make my own offer in return, for helping The Mirevian Empire, unwarranted. I offer a formal alliance of both military and trade to you. It is better to make friends, now more than ever in this bloody war.

As for your military, they will be escorted in to Mirevian Territorial Waters,by The Mirevian Royal Navy and they would help my forces in strengthening my northern border,in case of a Cydonian invasion.

Sincerely,
The Empress of Mirevia
Empress Akira Wolfe-von Stauffenberg

The Empress had placed the pen back in the compartment, before looking to the courier and speaking.

"You are dismissed, courier." the courier smiled and was escorted out of the throne room

She looked back to Merrick, who was again caught up in fantasies. "I have a feeling this is the start of something much bigger than all of us."
