Well obviously only one person would be studying plants. And their main role would be to figure out a) what makes them tick, and b) the best ways to counteract them.

Gender binary. Non-binary (as Gren and I are IRL) would be if you don't identify as either male or female (at least not exclusively; there are a lot of subgroups within the non-binary label).

However, he's not about to openly discriminate against his own troops, though don't be surprised if he tries to joke around about it.
