Viktor: Hello everyone and welcome back! We left off with Gregory Llama Land's entry and after a few drinks I was finally able to compose myself. If you're just joining us now, you didn't miss all that much, don't worry. Hopefully the next few entries will be different. Up next, we have Sumaltheria's entry. Let's hope that it can save this already dreadful night.

6. Sumaltheria:

Viktor: Well, it's a bit bland, and the whole paper thing is overdone, but I think it's a nice break from the chaos that we've seen so far. Personally, I don't see the need for the dress, or the wings at that. This entry would be so much better if she didn't overplay the gimmick. Nevertheless, it was a nice entry and the lyrics were really well done. I applaud this entry, mostly because most of the previous ones were so dreadful.

Personally, I think it would've been pretty funny to see how this dress would've held up two entries ago when the flamethrower was involved but I suppose that's just me. I've been known to have a crude sense of humor, so don't take this personally. In all seriousness though, the only flaw to this entry was the horrible gimmicks, and that's completely alright. I'd rather have a gimmick like this than one that costs the lives of thousands of people any day.

Whelp. That's that. Up next we have Kasanova-Koratica with... Elisza Swiss-on-Rye feat. Estan Hammton. That's a name. And they will be singing the song, Dark Whore. I can already tell that this song will not be one of my favorites, but I've learned not to judge a book by its cover... or a song by their unfortunately titled artists. Anywho, here they go!

7. Kasanova-Koratica:

Well in most cases, I'd advise against judging a book by it's cover, but when a song is titled "Dark Whore" and sung by an artist with the name of Elisza Swiss-on-Rye, I don't think that same rule applies. Granted, it wasn't as bad as some of the entries so far, but is it any good? Nope. I suppose this song could appeal to some of the kinksters out there, but unfortunately for these two... artists(?) I'm not one of them.

Now, I do apologize for this, but the Polkopian Broadcaster, PNT, had to censor that last bit over there. Personally, I feel quite bad for those who were in the audience and were forced to experience it first-hand. It's like, those who didn't die from the earlier performances are now being punished for still being alive. I don't think PNT could pay me enough to go down there and become one of the spectators right by the stage. Not unless they could guarantee me my life and my well-being, then I'd consider it. So far, these members of the audience lost one or the other tonight, and I feel for them.

Can't say I'd be voting for them, but we all know how many interesting personalities we have in this world, and I sincerely hope that there aren't enough of those people in Polkopia to give them any points. You never know though... Anyway, up next we have the hosts of the evening, Mister X!

8. Mister X:

A rather disappointing song from the hosts, in my opinion, but not an overall bad entry. I've never really been a fan of this genre, however I know plenty of those who would go crazy about this song. I must say though, some of the notes that this Chris David guy sang was rather impressive. I quite liked his voice, even though I wasn't sold on the song itself. Nevertheless, if I had to rate this entry out of ten, it'd be a solid six and a half.

The dancers were a nice, reassuring touch to the song, and it wasn't too much. It felt just enough to give a good enough show without overdoing it, which we've already seen on multiple occasions tonight. Anyway, yeah, it was nice to have a decent entry with a minimal, but solid performance tonight, and I very much respect the Mixter Xian broadcaster for that.

Up next, Polkopia is performing! Oh, I can't wait to see how this goes! When it first came out, I was playing this song on repeat for hours! Hope to see a solid performance here! Go Katya!

9. Polkopia:

Yes! She did it! Yes yes yes! Oh, I'm so happy! She looked great on stage and delivered a flawless performance! That's a huge sigh of relief for me, because she was a bit shaky on the night of the Landa vy Polkopiya, but she still managed to win. Still though, I got worried that she'd miss a note or two but nope! Well done Katya!

I feel like the performance could've had more to it, but I'm not complaining. In a way, it put more emphasis on the song itself which could be what the broadcaster was going for? I don't know, they never tell me anything here, so I'm left to guess what's going on around here. Anyway, great job Katya! I'd vote for you if I could!

Next we have Titaniumland!

Now, on STE One, we're back to Alfaans and the WorldVision Song Contest.

Britonisea

Poor Mr Liamson, looking for his wife. I don't really thing this is suited for WorldVisison, but props for using the platform the way he did. To vote, text MELODIE13 to 43413, call 239-MEL-13

Free Republics

Woah. A little bit too religious for us athiest Ekozians. I doubt this will get many votes tonight. To vote, text MELODIE14 to 43414, call 239-MEL-14

Imezdu

A solid performance from Anthony Bernardini. I'm sure the older folk voting tonight will find this entertaining. However, it's definitely not our winner. To vote, text MELODIE15 to 434015, call 239-MEL-15

Yttribia

This type of music generally doesn't do well within the Topplistsan charts, but I'm sure it will get a few points from the more 'rock' inclined countries. But STE viewers, if you enjoyed it, text MELODIE16 to 43416, call 239-MEL-16

Francilie

MELODIE17 to 43417, call 239-MEL-17

Hafamarimet

A classy performance from Sarjë. So far there hasn't been many uptempo entries so I feel this could get swallowed up, but a very powerful song. To vote, text MELODIE18 to 434018, call 239-MEL-18.

Bandwagon

text MELODIE19 to 434019, call 239-MEL-19

Estenia

A pretty bare and stripped performance which could hinder his changes of getting votes. I don't think this is our winner tonight. But I could be wrong, to vote, text MELODIE19 to 434017, call 239-MEL-19.

text MELODIE20 to 434020, call 239-MEL-20.

Menski

Another ballad... I don't think this sticks out at all and along with other ballads in the contest, I don't think this will come out on top. But, nonetheless, if you wish to vote text MELODIE21 to 434021, call 239-MEL-21.

Elke & Elba

Those balloons! A different song from Elke & Elba, but I don't think this will break the top 10. It was visually pleasing, but that's pretty much it. To vote, text MELODIE22 to 434022, call 239-MEL-22.

Normandy & Picardy

It is Normandy & Picardy's national day today? Nice to see they are a proud nation, but it seems like the Government Tourist board entered this. It's not a winner. To vote text MELODIE23 to 434023, call 239-MEL-23.

Norfolk & Suffolk

Tribal. Amazing. I can see this topping the Topplistan charts! A great performance and a great song. I think this is one to watch. text MELODIE24 to 434024, call 239-MEL-24.

Ekoz

Dhani slays that performance! Well Done Dhani with his #1 chart topper come and see. Will Dhani take that number one spot we nearly achieved in Carnise? Who knows, but unfortunatly viewers, we cannot vote for our own nation.

Alfaans: Now, let's check out some of your reactions to this evening...

@Liessaaaaaaxo "Dhani Volsoek is my husband!!! I LOVE HIM. Ekoz to win #goDhani"

@STEWorldVision "Many ballads here tonight, remember to vote for your favourite song via text, phone or the app"

@amariaolsekk "Norfolk & Suffolk is the one to beat! I have it on my iPhone already! N&S to win!!

Alfaans: Amaria clearly has her favourite, but we still have more nations to perform. We'll be back after this commercial break...

Kalosia
Steal Her Style — Hyun
performed in English to the tune of (Ik ben een) Teenager by Rachel

Hyun, real name Koruna Makota, is a Kalosian singer. Most WorldVision fans would recognize her from her participation at WorldVision 26, which would make her Kalosia's first returning artist to the WorldVision Song Contest. She is now 18 years old, and is aiming for a position higher than the 18th place she had previously achieved (this is also the second-lowest Kalosian placing, which had lead to criticism over her return). Hyun believes that her entry, Steal Her Style, will do better than Numb.

The LED background was not utilized in this performance. There were some mannequins on the left half of the stage (from the audience's point of view, it looked like this but slightly more crowded), in which the mannequins in the back were dressed (in women's fashion). There were some clothing racks too.
Hyun was wearing a red dress (bottom rightmost) and a headset microphone. She stood at the center of the right side of the stage. As the song started, she moved forward , passing through four backing dancers and when she was to start singing, she was already at the front of them, completing an arrow formation (like this but more spacious).
She starts singing and they do upbeat choreography, while the lights flash intensely to the beat.

Everyday you are always around
Drinking at the café, or you’re just passing by
But I know who you like, it’s a secret, I know
But I am determined to get in your way and I will…

She turns towards the undressed mannequins and walks among them. Her dancers take dresses (still on hangers) off the rack and, taking turns, holds them in front of Hyun, similarly to how someone would 'try' dresses at a clothing store without actually changing into it. She takes a step forward at every bar (4 beats). A different dress is also held in front of her every bar. In the first 24 bars, after a dress is held, the dancer returns it to the rack and takes a new, different one each, hiding behind another mannequin. In the last 4 bars, after each dress is held, the dancers put them back and go to their next position.
I’m gonna steal her style
I’ll do what I can
If that can get me into your arms
I’m gonna win your heart
Or at least I will try
‘Cause baby, you mean everything to me
You make me go like: Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh

She gets in front of the mannequins just in time for the next verse to begin. They do choreography similar to the first verse, but it matches with what she sings. The lights also flash again.
Get up in the morning, dress up to impress
My efforts, I have done much but I’m still far from done
Have a hipster breakfast, maybe I’ll have you swooned
But will you talk to me before the clock reaches noon?

She returns to the mannequins, but this time she does poses with the dressed mannequins in the back. At the 7th line in the next part, she walks directly to the front of the stage (not the front of the mannequins), passing through all the mannequins.
I’m gonna steal her style
I’ll do what I can
If that can get me into your arms
I’m gonna win your heart
Or at least I will try
‘Cause baby, you mean everything to me
You make me go like: Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh

The lights dim, everything is dark and still but a spotlight shines on Hyun.
I won’t give up, I won’t let other girls win
I’ll do what I can, it’s my time to shine

Four more spotlights shine on the dancers (in an arrow formation again) and they do choreography, but everything else is still dark.
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh…

They stop dancing, spotlight is only on Hyun again.
I’m gonna…

All the lights flash on again and it is revealed that the mannequins and clothing racks have been moved to the back of the stage, in a (horizontal) line that seems kinda messy but you can still make out the alignment. Hyun and the backing dancers do a different set of choreography, but it is still upbeat and energetic.
I’m gonna steal her style
I’ll do what I can
If that can get me into your arms
I’m gonna win your heart
Or at least I will try
‘Cause baby, you mean everything to me
I won’t give up

At the last line in this next part, the camera angle is from the front (centered on Hyun), and when she holds the note, it zooms out dramatically (opposite of the beginning of Eurovision 2009's Swedish entry).
I’m gonna steal her style
I’ll do what I can
If that can get me into your arms
I’m gonna win your heart
Or at least I will try
‘Cause baby, you mean everything to me
You make me go like: Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh
Eh-eh-eh then I’m like oh-oh-eh
Win your heart, I’m gonna try

The five are posing with Hyun in the middle and raising her hand. She shouts, "Thank you everyone!" and leaves the stage.

WORLDVISION 34 - THATCHER CITY, MISTER X

COME TOGETHER

Image

INTERVAL ACT

Image

The Kumquats had appeared on stage. They took the microphone, and Sam said into it:

Please welcome back all of tonight's artists!

Dramatic music kicked in as all the artists from all of the participating nations returned ceremoniously to the stage. The crowd squealed in horror at the sights of Rick Leg from Missus X, Singer XXXU88W88W from Gregoryisgodistan, and Elisza Swiss-on-Rye and Estan Hammton from Kasanova-Koratica. They cheered, however, at the sights of Pudding DeFarrah from Gregory Llama Land for his anti-Gregoryisgodistan propaganda, and the home favourite, Chris David, from Mister X.

There then begun a Mister Xian entry medley. Entourage were the first to take the stage, as a shortened version of Mister X's first ever WorldVision entry, "Na-La-Na-La-Na", begun. Entourage stood in a line at the front of the stage and sang the excerpt:

Ohhh,

(Ooh, ooh, ooh) Then he went for me again
(Ooh, ooh, ooh) saying it again:
"You're like a sheep going 'baa'."

Said to him 'na, la, na, la' (naaaaa).
Said to him 'na, la, na, la' (naaaaa).
Said to him 'na, la, na, la' (naaaaa).
Said to him 'na, la, na, la' (naaaaa).

Naaaaaaaa, said to him 'na, la, na, la'.

Filius Deorum then took to the stage. He didn't have the razzamatazz of the performance that he had when performing a section of his entry from WorldVision 30, "And I Am Going To Leave Again And Again".

And I am going to leave again and again.
(do do do do (boo hoo!), do do do do (boo hoo!))
And all your animals will be slaughtered again,
bestiality!

Jack Baxter was next, and he had, by a fair amount, the longest excerpt to perform. He too stood at the front of the quite crowded stage, and sang his section of "I Just Lay Down On My Bed":

I've been home and thought about you...

And I need some love from you.
(Some love from you!)
And I need some love forever.
And if I only came with you,
(If I only!)
He'll drop his rumour forever.
And I only want you tonight,
('Cause I'm not what!)
'Cause I'm not what he says.
Together we can be the new Brangelina,
You do not have to be such a screamer.
(Such a screamer...)
I'm always loving you, your eyes are in the dark.
Lift the wool from over them and ignore idiot Mark.
I really need you tonight!
I'm gonna love you tonight!
I'm gonna love you tonight!
But tonight I came right home and you really weren't there.
'Cause of all those things that Mark has said.
I cried again as
I just lay down on my bed.

But tonight I came right home and you really weren't there.
'Cause of all those things that Mark has said.
I cried again as
I just lay down on my bed.

To thunderous applause (The Park Cottage liked that one!), the Kumquats muscled their way to the front of the stage. Sam had sprinted from the commentary box to get down here. He didn't want to miss this reprise of "Stuck? Aching? Water Cam!". Unfortunately it made no sense without the performance and the costumes, but Sam sung it anyway, backed up by Marcus and Cam:

What a fool!
He's not a battering ram!
Stuck? Aching? Water Cam
All the time!
Just make him build that dam!

What a fool!
He is the pride of DBIC!
But is he stuck? Aching? Water Cam
When in freeze
Just make him build that dam!

Filius Deorum returned to the front. He had to perform the WorldVision promotional single. But first, he had to perform a section of "Flinch":

I'm not gonna flinch,
I won't fire my gun.
This shootout duel ain't so much fun.
My finger won't shoot
When that horn toots:
My gun is going to stay, stay mute!

The stage suddenly shut off in pitch black. A solitary spotlight gradually dawned on Filius Deorum in order to sing the promotional single, which, in many ways, was an elaborate fanfare to start voting.

The spotlight stood on Filius Deorum as the first chord played. It was almost sinister... then the drums kicked in and the stage was shrouded in a blast of light. All the acts back on the stage couldn't resist having a dance along. Filius had a good grab of the microphone, and he sang his first verse:

And now let's find out who
Is going to win WV!
As they stand in line
One of those acts is going to win tonight!

Filius then high-fived all of the acts (with the exception of those whose hands were very messy - Missus X in particular), ran along the line of the performing artists, and whilst he was doing this, sang:

What type of song tonight
Will have its name in the headlights?

He then looked down the camera, stressing the importance of what he was singing:

It would be crazy not to use your votes!
If you're amazed by them, they'll love you so!
Oh baby,
Just pick up your phone and don't let go...

And now we're going to vote!

Filius Deorum was enjoying this, as were the audience. The performing artists started to trickle back to their green room "booths", as Filius sang the second verse:

Who was right, and who was wrong
When they selected their brand new song?
Baby, on the radio,
They've all broadcast their songs to you!

What type of song tonight
Will have its name in the headlights?

It would be crazy not to use your votes!
If you're amazed by them, they'll love you so!
Oh baby,
Just pick up your phone and don't let go...

And now we're going to vote!

A gigantic mobile phone prop (an iPhone 6+, no less), was brought onto the stage by the members of Entourage and The Kumquats. Despite an obvious bend in the prop, Filius pretended to use it to vote, whilst vocalising:

Ooh, Baby,
And now...

And now...

And now...
And now...

Oh, babe...

And now...
And now...

Oh, babe...

After "voting" several times, Filius put the phone down, bending it even more, and for the end of the song, got all of the former Mister Xian entry singers: Entourage, Jack Baxter, The Kumquats, and Filius himself, to sing the end of the song:

What type of song tonight
Will have its name in the headlights?

It would be crazy not to use your votes!
If you're amazed by them, they'll love you so!
Oh baby,
Just pick up your phone and don't let go...

And now we're going to vote!

It would be crazy not to use your votes!
If you're amazed by them, they'll love you so!
Oh baby,
Just pick up your phone and don't let go...

And now we're going to vote!

Sam from The Kumquats now took the microphone and shouted "START VOTING NOW!", before dashing to the commentary box for MRX ONE and MRX TWO.

WorldVision 34 voting was underway, as the stage was cleared, replaced with a big automated scoreboard, as each nation gave their points.

Voting was held online at WorldVision.gl. However, a group of pranksters from VoteForTheWorst.net decided to have some fun and write an automated script to vote for the worst nation, which they determined to be Gregoryisgodistan. Were they successful? Find out.

"Hello, this is Llama City calling. See how nice voting is, Gregoryisgodistan? Maybe you should try it. Here are our votes

1 point to Ekoz
2 points to Elke and Elba
3 points to The Sarian

North Britonisea

Rhys: I'm not sure what i've just witnessed.

Varåka: Put it on the radio, that should chart nicely.

Kalosia

Rhys: Well that's the final performance...

Interval

Rhys: Right, and now it's over.
Varåka: Thank You Mister X for all of your hospitality, and all of your wonderful artists.
Rhys: We've had our ups and downs, luckily most of the downs were straight off and out of the way...
Varåka: And if you managed to stick with us through it, the time has come for you to call in your vote. Remember the number is (88)-156-313-0108. You will then be prompted to to enter an extension number, which will correspond with the entry number of the act you wish to vote for. Good night, and good luck all!

NPTƑ - Worldvision Song Contest/Chantja Contesta MondƑis

It's Caen Calling with Tomasz Hulone. Here are the votes for the Worldvision Song Contest from Normandy and Picardy.

1 Point goes to Ekoz. It was very close for the No 1 point position, even though it is minimum score except 0. However, Ekoz just scraped through and got the points.
2 Points go to Yttrbia. We loved your wacky rock song here in Caen and across Normandy and Picardy.
3 Points go to Kishrael. This just beat Yttrbia but it was very close.
4 Points go to Mister X. I know why people voted for this one, as John Peytman will be able to tell you.
5 Points go to Titaniumland This is doing well across the land and as John predicted people are dancing at the state allowed dance clubs already.
6 Points go to Gregoryisgodistan We are loving this one here. A brilliant song that deserves the points.
7 Points go to Missus X We knew this one would do well, everyone in this country having psychotic tendencies and what not.

Now it is time for the main points

our 8 POINTS GO TO KALOSIA
our 10 POINTS GO TO POLKOPIA
And our 12 POINTS GO TO KASANOVAKOROTICA

Alfaans:So that's it, all nations have performed and we move onto the voting! The lines have closed so don't to vote for your favourite; its too late.Let's check a live update of the Ekozian iTunes chart...

Image

Alfaans:Woah, 7 of the top 10 are WorldVision Songs and will no doubt end up within the Topplistan ChartS next week. Dhani Volsoek has been knocked off the top spot by none other than Paula from Norfolk & Suffolk. Expect your first #1 single in Ekoz Paula! While we wait for the points to be added up and double-checked, our wonderful host's have a star-studded interval act for us viewers...

Interval Act

Ah yes, a reminder of previous Mister X entries to this fantastic contest. I'm pretty sure Jack Baxter got the party started for our lady viewers tonight. A brilliant showcase of Mister X music.

Gregoryisgodistan votes...

Woah, an unexpected two points from Gregoryisgodistan! Thank-you very much, even if we don't agree with your appalling human rights...

Gregory Llama Land votes...

One point! A little bit smaller than Dhani Volsoek may have liked but at least we're not going home with nul points! 7 points for our hosts Mister X, maybe this could be their night.

Elke & Elba votes...

Yes! Come on E&E! 7 points for Dhani! Kishrael are doing well tonight, could they win it again for the 1,233,234th time? Who knows!

Ekoz votes...

Rightly deserved 12 points to Norfolk & Suffolk! That'll for sure be a huge hit in Ekoz! 8 points to Titaniumland who have previously been kind to us during the voting process. Kishrael doing well also..

North Britonisea votes...

Nothing for us there, but it doesnt matter. Top points are given to their sister nation Britonisea. *cough* block voting *cough*

Izmedu votes...

Four points for Dhani! He could do well tonight. There seems to be a pattern of nations that are receiving votes. Let's just hope Ekoz can stay in it! Polkopia get 10 points, with their rock anthem which again, could do very well tonight.

Sumaltheria votes...

Nothing for us there, but high points for Titaniumland's Kelly, and 4 for our hosts Mister X. This could get very interesting...

Normandy & Picardy votes...

One point. One point! I'm kidding. Thank-you N&P! Although why Kasanova-Koratica got top points is beyond me...

Mister X votes...

BRILLIANT! 12 points from our fantastic hosts! Dhani toured Thatcher City a few weeks back, and it seems to have paid off! Our first 12 points of the evening! Thank-you Mister X.

Missus X votes...

Again! 10 points from Missus X. Thank-you, undoubtedly top points go to Mister X, but 10 points is still fantastic! Kishrael receive 2 points, is their run slowing down? Finger's crossed! Ekoz wants a win.

Todlichebujoku votes...

Brilliant. 8 points from the WorldVision veterans. We of course gave VYY points with their jazzy number, which has clearly done well in the charts already. Thank-you Todlichebujoku!

Titaniumland votes...

Oh my! 12 points from Titaniumland! This is amazing. Two top points so far! Dhani should be very pleased. Kishrael and Mister X also receiving points..

KwaDai votes...

8 points from KwaDai go to Dhani! Excellent, maybe we could get top 10 tonight! I'm not sure Dhani could beat Yohanna's 2nd place last edition but lets hope! Top points for Elka & Elba, interesting.

Syrche votes...

Thank-you Syrche, much appreciated four points there! Top points are going to Kishrael. I think this could be the runaway (again). Only 7 points for Norfolk & Suffolk, I thought they would be the run-aways, but, we have a lot more votes to come in so who knows!

Britonisea votes...

Syrche gets the top points! Nothing for us this time around. Crossing off Britonisea from our Christmas Card list this year then...

Bailamaland votes...

Ten points from Bailamaland! I knew there was something I liked about this nation! Top points for Kelly of Titaniumland who is doing very well tonight.

Norfolk & Suffolk votes...

8 points from our 12 point recipient, thank-you very much N&S, but top points to Kasanova-Koratica?! I clearly missed something there tonight...

Estenia votes...

High points for Kishrael. We need to bottle up whatever Kishrael uses with their performances. I bet it'd sell like hot-cakes. Two points for Dhani there too.

Alfaans: We'll be right back after this commercial break...
