WORLDVISION 34 - THATCHER CITY, MISTER X

COME TOGETHER

Image

OPENING ACT

Image

The lights slowly dawned on The Park Cottage. 25,700 people had packed into the arena. The image on the world feed faded into the stadium. Entourage were here. They were the debutants for Mister X all the way back in WorldVision 29. As the music kicked in, the stage was in half light and the lead singer of Entourage ghostly spoke into the microphone:

Mister X welcomes you all.

The drums kicked in and the stage was no longer in half light. One member of Entourage was rocking out on a guitar. On each staccato chord followed a dramatic burst of light, and the lead singer once again spoke:

We'll come together in Mister X!

Finally, he started to add a melody to his words:

The nations come!
The nations come!
(Hoo, hah, hoo-hah, hoo, hah, hoo-hah)

We said to them to come together!
Come together right NOW!

Come together, come together, yeah!

Flags of all the participating nations were then brought on to the stage, one by one. Mister X, as the host nation, led all the others. Each flag had a microscopic attention to detail.

Coming together every hour!
Using our power, together every hour!
You've got it, so let's find the best
Best song tonight in Thatcher City, yeah!

Tonight in Thatcher City!

Nations come from everywhere,
Here, there, and everywhere!
Nations come from everywhere,
Here, there, and everywhere!

It's WorldVision 34
And though it rhymes with "bore",
It's WorldVision 34
You won't hear a single snore!

And despite the weather,
We'll all come together!
Even if you're made of leather,
Let's all come together!
And despite the weather,
We'll all come together!

(Nations come, the nations come!)

We said to them to come together!
Come together even when it's done!
Come here, whenever you do, it doesn't matter!
Never, never, being alone!

Nations come from everywhere,
Here, there, and everywhere!
Nations come from everywhere,
Here, there, and everywhere!

It's WorldVision 34
And though it rhymes with "bore",
It's WorldVision 34
You won't hear a single snore!

And despite the weather,
We'll all come together!
Even if you're made of leather,
Let's all come together!
And despite the weather,
We'll all come together!

The final flag came onto the stage from Gregoryisgodistan. All the participating nations' flags were now up on the stage. During the instrumental, the flag-bearers started waving their flags in perfect unison. The flag-bearer from Mister X came forward and handed the lead singer of Entourage another, folded-up, flag. He started to vocalise:

Nations come!
The nations come!
They sing and dance!
The nations come!
Oh yeah!

Yeah!

The music started to tone down, and the lead singer of Entourage unfolded the flag. It was a flag of the WorldVision 34 logo, along with the slogan, COME TOGETHER. The singing then continued:

It's WorldVision 34!
It's WorldVision 34!

It's WorldVision 34
And though it rhymes with "bore",
It's WorldVision 34
You won't hear a single snore!
It's WorldVision 34
And though it rhymes with "bore",
It's WorldVision 34
You won't hear a single snore!
It's WorldVision 34!

And despite the weather,
We'll all come together!
Even if you're made of leather,
Let's all come together!
And despite the weather,
We'll all come together!

We'll all come together!

And despite the weather,
We'll all come together!

The opening act finished, and the crowd erupted in thunderous applause. WorldVision 34 was underway.

Rick Leg - "Why You Shouldn't Be A Big Criminal".
Tune: Keith Strachan & Matthew Strachan - "Is That Your Final Answer? (Chris Tarrant Remix).

This post has been censored owing to forum regulations. As a result, the staging element of the performance has been removed. Admittedly, the lyrics do not make much sense without the performance, but for the sake of completeness, they are included. The performance included murder and rape, which was the entire basis of the performance. As this affects later entries, it must be stated that over 50,000 peple were killed during this performance. Enjoy what will be allowed!

WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BE A BAD CRIMINAL-L-L-L-L-L...

OK, let's find out what happens to bad criminals!

I could have phoned an executioner!

They're take-home souvenirs for you.

Woof, woof, woof, woof!

Sixty-three...

Let's fuck the audience!

And that's for MSX ONE!

You've killed 32,000 people!

But-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-you're not supposed to do that-at-at-at-at-at-at-at-at-at-at!

"You're a complete psychotic lunatic."

Do you want to go 50:50?
This is why you shouldn't be a bad criminal.

I'VE JUST KILLED FIFTY THOUSAND PEOPLE!

.:: 03 - The Sarian ::.
.:: Rebekka Layce - Revenge Will Be Mine ::.

.:: Language(s): English ::.

To the tune of: London Grammar - Devil Inside

Image

After a disappointing finish from the band, Two Steps Closer last WorldVision, Sarian National Network decided to venture down down a different path, employing unknown sixteen year old Rebekka Layce as their choice to represent The Sarian, in a hope to win alternative music fans across the multiverse. The choice did not go without controversy, with questions being asked of SNN on choosing which many see as an "unsuitable choice" and outrage occurred when it was revealed that Rebekka's lyrics contain profanity. Rebekka responded to the outrage on the social media outlet, Chirpr - "All this fuss about a few bad words. #NotGivingAFuck"

Rebekka entered the pitch black stage, entirely blank except a grand piano and a microphone. She didn't want gimmicks, she wanted her voice. The music began, a small white light focused on her, and she began.

Standing while the rain falls,
With tears in my eyes
Everything is rushing
While I absorb your lies.
A poison dagger
You've plunged in my heart
You poisoned liar
If you're going to break hearts,
Why was it mine?

As the verse transitioned into the chorus, one light flashed across the stage on each piano.

Revenge will be mine, revenge will be mine
I hope that you all know that, revenge will be mine
Revenge will be mine, revenge will be mine
I hope you fucking know that revenge will be mine

Rebekka took the microphone out the stand, walked over to the piano, and sat on the side.

(oooohhhh mmmmmmm)

I hope she loves you
Because I know she's a bitch
I fucking hate you
You bastard liar.
And
I hope you know
You're worth nothing
You gave me your poison
And you told me to drink
No-one can love you
While I continue to live

Revenge will be mine, revenge will be mine
I hope you all know that, revenge will be mine
Revenge will be mine, revenge will be mine
I hope you fucking know that revenge will be mine

Rebekka stood up again, and walked to the edge of the stage, sinking to the ground on the penultimate revenge.

Revenge will be mine, revenge will be mine
I hope you fucking know that revenge will be mine
I hope you know
I hope you fucking know that
Revenge will be mine
Revenge will be mine
Revenge...
Revenge will be mine.

"That song was dedicated to all the people who have to deal with dickheads and dirt bags in their lives, and to all the haters - revenge will be mine. Fuck you." She dropped the mic and walked off.

Wondering where you've heard this before, but can't quite put your finger on it?

04. Gregoryisgodistan
Let's Blow Up Saintland
Singer XXXU88W88W
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCy7lLQwToI

Singer XXXU88W88W walks up onto the stage wearing a Gregoryisgodistani flag and carrying a bag of props. She sets the bag down and begins to sing.

Petrus is a wicked King
Now it’s time for me to sing
It’s time to kill them all
They must be destroyed

Singer XXXU88W88W takes out a wooden statue of King Petrus of Saintland, then removes a flamethrower from the bag and sets it on fire. She lets it burn on stage as she continues the song.

Saintland is a heathen land
Now it’s time to take a stand
It’s time to kill them all
They must be destroyed

Singer XXXU88W88W takes out a wooden statue of Prince Josephus, who was recently assassinated by Gregoryisgodistan. She then sets it on fire with the flamethrower.

King Paulus was a stupid King
Killing him was our biggest thing
That our army has ever done
But our victory is not yet won

Singer XXXU88W88W removes a wooden statue of the late King Paulus and sets it on fire with the flamethrower. She then unfurls a giant poster with a (heavily doctored) photo of thousands of Gregoryisgodistani troops assassinating King Paulus, which never actually happened.

Saintland must die
We will nuke them all to hell
We will destroy all the heathens
Death to Saintland
Gregory will kill them all
Let’s get to it toniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

Singer XXXU88W88W removes a Sanctii flag and sets it on fire, then throws it on top of the burning statues. A female slave dressed as a Sanctii nun is then led onto the stage in shackles and set on fire with the flamethrower to be burnt alive. However, she tries to escape so Singer XXXU88W88W pulls out a gun and shoots her. The force of the explosion causes the fire to multiply and now there is a massive fire burning on the stage. Undeterred, Singer XXXU88W88W continues to sing.

It is time to kill those jerks
I think a few nukes would work
Our soldiers will drop the bombs and they will die

We will win
They will lose
Their death will be good news
Their pain never ends, it goes on and on and on and on

With the stage nearly fully engulfed in flame, Singer XXXU88W88W pulls out a fire extinguisher and douses the massive fire after six attempts. It reveals dozens of dead slaves in traditional Sanctii outfits who had come up from backstage unnoticed due to the raging flames. She then continues singing.

Sanctii dying
All around their stupid country
Our nukes will kill them tonight
Death to Saintland
Killing them will be our glory
We’ll get to it toniiiiiiiiiiiight

All of a sudden, slaves in Sanctii outfits swarm the stage and scream “SAVE US EYE-EE-ZUS.” Singer XXXU88W88W then takes the flamethrower again and sets them all on fire, then shoots them for good measure, causing the flames to rage again. Then she continues singing as we reach the climax of the song.

Let’s blow up Saintland
We will kill those heathens
Saintland must be destroyed

Let’s blow up Saintland
We will kill those heathens
Saintland must be destroyed

Let’s blow up Saintland
We will kill those heathens
Saintland must be destroyed
Kill them

As the fire still rages, Singer XXXU88W88W takes several Sanctii flags and pictures of Sanctii nuns and members of the Royal Family out of her bag and throws them on the fire, then pours gasoline on it so it burns stronger. Then she takes a bow and jumps off the stage just before the flames reach her. Finally, the sprinkler systems activate and douse the flames, revealing over 2,000 additional dead slaves in traditional Sanctii outfits who were forced into the fire to their deaths. Singer XXXU88W88W screams “DEATH TO SAINTLAND” from the wings as the lights fade out.

Song: “Here’s to the Land of Gregoryisgodistan”
Singer: Pudding DeFarrah
Tune: ”Here’s to the State of Mississippi” by Phil Ochs

Pudding DeFarrah walks onto the stage and says “This song is going out to all those watching in Gregoryisgodistan, if you’re allowed to watch this, which you probably aren’t. Gregoryisgodistan is well known for massive human rights abuses, and I call upon the WorldVision Committee to suspend them until they take corrective action.” Then he begins to sing his song.

Here’s to the Land of Gregoryisgodistan
In the depths of Esportiva ruled by the “divine”
Where a so-called God commits a lot of crimes
Let’s ban them from this contest until the end of time
And I can’t think of another goddamn rhyme
Oh, here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

Here’s to the people of Gregoryisgodistan
Who say the folks up north, they just don’t understand
Yet still the Sanctii tremble at a wicked, evil man
The executions leave a lot of blood on “Lord” Greg’s hands
He smiles and laughs at the killing of a man
Oh, here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

Here’s to the schools of Gregoryisgodistan
Where they’re spewing propaganda about how Greg is Lord
They’re raising up the young ones to be an evil horde
And anyone who speaks out gets nailed to a large board
They stand by laughing as children’s blood is poured
Oh, here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

Here’s to the cops of Gregoryisgodistan
If you say “coconut” then you are gonna die
So will your family, even as the children cry
As their home is blown up, to the wall they are all tied
They all follow orders without ever asking why
Oh, here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

And here’s to the soldiers of Gregoryisgodistan
You’ve invaded Hicana for very minor acts
You lie to your people and ignore the truth and facts
You buy nuclear weapons while making minor pacts
There is no weapon which your army lacks
Oh, here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

And here’s to the leader of Gregoryisgodistan
You are not God, no matter what you say
One day soon, the real Lord will make you pay
You’ll face the consequences on Eternal Judgement Day
But at least you don’t kill people just for being gay
Oh, here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

And here’s to the laws of Gregoryisgodistan
Is there anything that isn’t a capital crime
Not stopping to pray at designated times
Being naked, farting, and eating a lime
Failing to put up a Lord Gregory shrine
Oh, here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

And here’s to the Church of Gregoryisgodistan
Where all the folks are forced to worship a man
Executing dissenters is just part of the plan
You must die or join Lord Gregory’s clan
Try to escape folks, I hope you can
Oh, here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

Oh here’s to the victims you’ve yanked out the heart of
Gregoryisgodistan, find yourself another contest to be part of

Words to paper
Madia Gold
Tune: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nPtrKK7u1Y4 - Speak now by Taylor Swift

A single spotlight turns on, revealing Madia Gold ( best-wallpaper.net/wallpaper/2560x1600/1311/Long-black-hair-girl-beautiful-face_2560x1600.jpg)
sitting at a grand piano, wearing a dress made from recycled paper.(idealbild.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/paper-dress-jolns-pason.jpg?w=584) The only music is the chords she plays on the piano. She begins to sing into the microphone.
Words, to put into a song
If I ever finish it it'll be a good occasion
So I relax into my chair
And start to try again another way

She stops and gets up, and music starts playing. She walks forward, a new spotlight lighting with every step.
The pencil lines are faint
Stenciling my arms like they're faded tattoos.
But the pen is bolder than
Covering every spot
In this room made out of paper

At the last line, all the lights turn on, revealing paper surrounding the path she had just walked, with stacks of notebooks scattered around. Hanging from the ceiling were pieces of paper, some ordinary, others crumpled, and some folded into various oragami shapes.
I-I-I-I am-am-am-am in place I never thought I would be
All I see in this nightmare
It's all black and white

Black lights and white lights start spiralling around her, and she starts spiralling as well.
Cant think of words to say now
I'll tell you when I'm done but the song is not near done
I'll never think of words to
The song it won't be done
I'll put words to paper

The lights stop, and she stops turning, letting out a deep breath.
My heart, pumping ink for blood
But my hands are turning pale
Like the simple sheets of paper
They look like feathers in a wing
It makes me feel like flying like a beautiful dove
Wi-ei-i-ings spread to fly but but the night is dark
Wi-ei-i-ings spre-e-ea-e-ad, I know I can't fly
I know I can't fly
Can't I?

Wings burst out from her back, made from paper like the dress. At last line, she leaps, soaring a few graceful metres.
Can't think of words to say now
I'll tell you when I'm done but the song is not near done
I'll never think of words to say
The song it won't done
I'll put words to paper

She settles down on a black and white stool, bringing out a notepad, and leafing through it.
Don't falter I'll have to start to work
I'll have to start to work 'cause this song is not near done
My head is spinning black and white
This world is closing in
Put words to paper
Oh, la, la
Oh, oh
In this strange wo-orld

The paper rises up from the floor due to a great gist of air. They spiral around Madia, then float back down.
I find my head is spinning I-in bla-ack and-and whi-ite
I take my chance, I grab some pens
Write it down with shaky hand, all black and white
It doesn't sound like, what I was dreaming
It-ll have-to doooo

As the lights flicker,Madia goes back to the piano, but doesn't play anything, just sits there.
Words to put into a song
But I think the song is done, its a special occasion
I have finished my song
And now, I'm ready for another day

She steps up onto the piano stool, then onto the piano, stamping one foot.
I've thought of words to say now
I'll tell you when I'm done as the song is quite near done
I have thought of words to say
The song it will be done
I'll put words to paper

She starts tearing paper out of the notebook, watching as it flutters down around her.
And I've said, it'll never be done
I'll tell you when I'm done but the song is not near done
But I was lying to myself
So glad I didn't stop
Putting words to paper

Madia Gold bows her head, listening to the applause. The lights turn out, and when they turn back on, she is gone.

Dark Whore
Elisza Swiss-on-Rye feat. Estan Hammton

Main Tune (Elisza): Katy Perry - Dark Horse
Feat. Tune (Estan): DJ Snake & Lil Jon - Turn Down for What

Elisza stands in the center of the stage in a tight black leather outfit, with an extraordinarily young-looking pale man (he looks about 12 or 13 and is as short, though he is actually just over 18) standing off to the side. Estan jumps on the stage to shout out some introductory lines before withdrawing backstage

Hey
Let's all have some fun
With Elisza
And Estan, yeah
Hell yeah!

Elisza looks to the young-looking guy as she begins, with the lights fading in and out in a soothing manner and a faintly pulsing orangey-brown background.

You weren't cool
Nobody knew your name
So here you are
Lonely and feeling lame
And I am, I'm feeling generous
So let's have the shit go down

The lights focus on the guy, and pictures of extremely pale, very slender women fade in and out of the background screens

You say you like the white snow
You say you like the ice cold
But boy you've just gotta change, you've gotta change

The guy begins to build a snowman out of a pile of shaved ice, and Elisza begins to head to the left side of the stage

Do you want to build a snowman?
Kid, I would love to come out and play
Do you want to do this?
'Cuz I'm coming at you with a dark whore

Halfway to the other side, she turns toward him and gestures to him, then seductively runs her hands down her sides

Are you ready for, ready for this?
I've got a good torture corset
We're gonna have, gonna have fun
GET FUCKIN' DOWN

She unsheathes an astonishingly long whip from her outfit and wields it. The guy pauses his snowman-building and appears enticed by it

Riding herd
On a pack of animals
So you will
Feel things unlike anything
Stinging touch
Feel the warmth of our hot skin

Elisza cracks her whip and runs her fingers over it sensually while staring straight at him

Just say yes or say no, no maybe
If you like this hot girl's cravings
Then let me take, take your virginity
Your virginity

Elisza finally gets to the side of the stage, where she joins with a heavyset and scantily clad (with nothing but a thin leather strap as a bra and one or two straps as a thong) dark woman and heads back to the guy.

Do you want to build a snowman?
Kid, I would love to come out and play
Do you want to do this?
'Cuz I'm cumming at you with a dark whore

The guy's snow bust of a slender woman is finished and absolutely stunning, though it is promptly demolished as the scantily clad, dark overweight woman cums- with a shockingly large amount of fluid- over it, (and partially on the unfortunate guy) with her back to the audience, stunning him. Elisza, watching the spectacle from the side, looks smug and rubs her hands together

Are you ready for, ready for this?
I have fun things, in my closet
We're gonna have, gonna have fun
GET FUCKIN' DOWN

[First segment of Dark Horse ends at about 2:17 on the video]
Suddenly a new melody comes on and the lights darken to pitch black, the arena lit only by strobe lights which accentuate the music. Ritualized PG S&M routines are played out by the trio, and Estan joins the party, belting out his lines like a total boss.

Gettin' hardcore
Bring out those whips and chains!

Let's f*ck sh*t up!

The audience leans in to get a better look

Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!

The audience tries to make sense of what they see

Gettin' hardcore
Bring out those whips and chains!

Let's f*ck sh*t up!

The audience freezes as they realize what they are seeing

Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!

The audience is growing more horrified by the second

Gettin' hardcore
Bring out those whips and chains!
Gettin' hardcore
Bring out those whips and chains!
Gettin' hardcore
Bring out those whips and chains!
Gettin' hardcore
Bring out those whips and chains!

Parents hide their children and attempt to hide themselves from seeing what is on stage. Even though the performance does not actually include sex and no sexual organs are explicitly presented to the audience, enough of a mess is made on the stage- with fluids and S&M paraphernalia- that the parents know exactly what is happening

Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!
Let's f*ck sh*t up!

[Second segment of Dark Horse starts at about 3:04 on the video]
The lights and background return to what they were before. Elisza, sweating and heavily flushed, sings the next line with a glimmer in her eye and a smirk on her face. The dark woman and the guy are sprawled on the floor, exhausted and the audience is debating whether or not to look back up

Do you want to build a snowman?
Kid, I would love to come out and play
Do you want to do this?
'Cuz I'm cumming at you with a dark whore

Flames shoot up from the edge of the stage and the spotlights focus on her, as she seductively sings the next three lines and yells out the final line

Are you ready for, ready for this?
I have fun things, in my closet
We're gonna have, gonna have fun
GET FUCKIN' DOWN!

The final line is so loud that the microphone creates earsplitting feedback, destined to be quite memorable for the audience if the earlier segments of the performance were not memorable enough

Estan and Elisza stand up on stage and yell, "LET'S GO, THATCHER CITY!" to the deafened audience as the custodial team arrives to mop up the mess. Unfortunately, the strong smell will stick around for the next act.

Chris David - "Come Get Me Now"
Tune: Take That - "Relight My Fire"

OOC: Ending changed slightly to avoid fade out.

Image

Off the back of a successful third position at WorldVision 33, Chris David was sent in to finally win the WorldVision crown. Rehearsals had several flaws, notably on the pronunciation of his name. "It is," as he would often say, "Chris Dav-vid. Dav-vid. Not day-vid. Dav-vid."

David was a huge crowd pleaser. His good looks, his slightly toned body matching his perfect ginger hair, and an army of gay men attempting to stalk him, so much so he had to get a restraining order, before having to order another one after an army of straight women attempted to stalk him.

But the talking had stopped. The music began.

The lights built up as the music faded in. By the time of the first chord the lights were on full blast. David is standing there, in the middle, wearing a T-shirt with "COME GET ME NOW" emblazoned on it. During the introduction, he had five hunky male dancers dancing behind him, getting the crowd going. The introduction finished, David looked down the camera and started the first verse:

I asked you out one more time
For dinner with me
(ha, ha).
I said to you that I really love you, love you, baby (ha, ha)

And when you said "yes, yes, yes, I will",
I felt happy even though that I was ill.
I had to say "I only love-ove you",
"'Cause I really love you, and I think that you love me too..." (ha, ha, wa, ha, ha)

A flash of bright white light followed. The dancers came down to the front of the stage, and Chris joined in with the dancing whilst he and backing singers (at the back of the stage) sang the chorus:

Come get me-e now,
Your love has got so much pow-ow,
Come get me-e now,
'Cause I need your love.

During the short instrumental, one of the dancers did a backflip, and the audience cheered as a result. Chris then looked down the camera and continued to sing:

When you were in love with me
You ran away
(why don't you come back?).
And your phone was just ringing, each and every day (ah, ha-a)

And when you said "yes, yes, yes, I will",
I never thought that we would phone the Old Bill.
I was oh so sad every day,
But, baby, brighten up the day, and listen to what I've got to say-ay:
(ha, ha, wa, ha, ha)

As the chorus kicked in again, Chris and the dancers danced again:

"Come get me-e now,
Your love has got so much pow-ow,
Come get me-e now,
'Cause I need your love."

Come get me-e now,
Your love has got so much pow-ow,
Come get me-e now,
'Cause I need
(I need)

Your loooooooooove

The dancers stopped to look at Chris, who sang the high notes to cheers from the crowd:

Yeeeeeeeeah
You've got to come back tonight so I don't give up the fight
(yeah)
There's more love when it's late at night (yeah)
I've got so much hoooope
In my soul
That you'll come back, baby
(woah-oh-woah-oh, yeah)

The backing singers and Chris effectively swapped roles and repeated the same section, but for the final line they sang in unison:

(Back tonight so I don't give up the fight)
(There's more love when it's late at night)
When it's late at night.
(He's got some hope) Hope!
(In my soul)
That you'll come back, baby, come on back to me, baby!

Chris then provided a counter-melody, in the ridiculous high notes

(Come get me-e now) Come get me-e now!
(Your love has got so much pow-ow) So much pow-ow-ow!
(Come get me-e now)
('Cause I need your love)
(I need your love)

Woo!

Again, they swapped roles, with the backing singers finally reverting to backing singers:

Come get me-e now, (Come get me-e now)
Your love has got so much pow-ow,
Come get me-e now,
'Cause I need your love.
(I need your love, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Then the dancers shied away to the back of the stage whilst Chris became the star attraction:

Cooooooooooooooooooooooome get me-e now
Come get me-e now
(Come get me-e now, baby)
Cooooooooooooooooooooooome get me-e now (I need your love, yeah, yeah, yeah)

The backing dancers ran back on to do the dance with Chris for the final time:

Come get me-e now,
Your love has got so much pow-ow,
Come get me-e now,
'Cause I need your love!

The crowd (or what was left of it after the performances of Missus X and Gregoryisgodistan) cheered. Could Chris David do it? Time would tell.

Katya Ritz - Working Hard
Language: English
Tune: Григорий Лепс и Ани Лорак - Зеркала

Katya Ritz, or Katarina Foritzov, won the Landa vy Polkopia with fifteen total points, earning a maximum five points from two nations, and narrowly achieving victory after beating artist Yeyo and her song, Deathbead by a single point, thus giving Katya Ritz the ticket to represent Polkopia at the forthcoming Worldvision Song Contest. Her song, Working Hard, has already climbed to #3 on the Polkopian charts, making it the most successful Worldvision entry in Polkopian history.

Now, here Katya stood, on the stage, wearing a short, black dress, and was accompanied by a band behind her, one man on drums, two men on guitar, and two backup singers, one man and one woman. The stage was dimly lit, visible only by lights on the guitars, drums, and microphone stands. The men on the guitars stepped forward and began to play, and Katya began to sing, gripping the microphone stand tightly as she sang.

I always wonder if you and I
Would be different now if I tried
To cover up all your blatant lies
One step at a time

You blame me for how we fell
You say I was your lasting hell
But you never wanted me to tell
One step at a time

The lights all came on at once, revealing a black stage covered up by fog. In the background, thunderclouds rolled over a night landscape and lightning struck at every high note that Katya hit.

I've been working hard
I would not be left off-guard
Don't even have a shard
Of what we used to be

Now I cry
Every single night 'cause I
Am blinded by your lies
Working hard never paid off for me

Katya grabbed the microphone and ripped it from the stand. In a swift motion, she threw the stand on the floor next to her and stepped forward, the microphone inches from her lips.

Everything I did was left in vain
I will never see you again
Why suffer through all this pain?
One step at a time

Oh, now I know that all my work
Was never enough to make us work
Now I'm about to go berserk
One step at a time

Katya now gets down on her knees and leans backward as she sang the chorus, a pained expression frozen on her face.

I've been working hard
I would not be left off-guard
Don't even have a shard
Of what we used to be

Now I cry
Every single night 'cause I
Am blinded by your lies
Working hard never paid off for me

The lights turned off, for a brief moment, but when the guitar solo picked up (2:12 in the video) white lights flashed on and off at an extraordinary pace and Katya remained on all fours. clutching the ground beneath her. Meanwhile the two guitarists stepped ahead of her and played their respective instruments until Katya stood back up and sang. While she did this, the two guitarists stepped back in their original positions.

I've been working hard
I would not be left off-guard
Don't even have a shard
Of what we used to be

Now I cry
Every single night 'cause I
Am blinded by your lies
Working hard never paid off for me

I've been working hard
I would not be left off-guard
Don't even have a shard
Of what we used to be

Now I cry
Every single night 'cause I
Am blinded by your lies
Working hard never paid off for me

Oh yeah!

Katya held her microphone up into the air after singing the last note before bowing and blowing a few kisses to the crowd. "Thank you!"

Artist: Kelly
Song: "Can't Let You Go"
Tune: Samantha Jade - What You've Done to Me

Image

Kelly uses the clothes (below) for the performance tonight. She will be joined by 4 backing vocals and 4 female dancers with the same clothes as Kelly. She will also joined by 2 shirtless male dancers.

Image

Regular means Kelly sings it alone
Italic means backing singers sing it
Bold means both Kelly and backing singers sing it together

You came into my life, hey!
Didn't know what magic did you use to me
Babe, you're so addicting and you made me love harder
You knew that I'd bleed for you
And there was no else I could do
Cause I couldn't deny it that I...

Kelly sang the first verse beautifully while 2 female dancers started dancing with the two male dancers.

We spent our life together

The lights were dim and the camera zoomed in at Kelly. Kelly sang along with the backing vocalists.

That's why I can't let you go!

The lights were back and shone at Kelly, the camera zoomed out fast. Suddenly, the male dancers were back with trampoline, they jumped on the trampoline.

We fit together like one
Cause we stuck together like chains
That's why I can't let you go
You made me fly to cloud nine
And you gave me trampoline
That's why I can't let you go
That's why I can't let you go, oh, oh

Kelly sang the chorus beautiful. She ended the first chorus with high notes. She walked around the stage while sang the chorus. The backing vocalists walked near her.

I'm only ordinary human
Who loved someone easily
But I chose only you and you could change my world
Can't you see that I'd killed for you
And I wouldn't disappoint you

Kelly sang the second verse. The dancers danced near Kelly again. Kelly was taken by the male dancers off the ground.

When you needed me
Just shout my name

The lights were dim. The spotlight shone at Kelly. The camera zoomed in at Kelly.

And I'd be there for you!

The camera zoomed out fast. Lights were back. The dancers danced near her.

We fit together like one
Cause we stuck together like chains
That's why I can't let you go
You made me fly to cloud nine
And you gave me trampoline
That's why I can't let you go
That's why I can't let you go, oh, oh

Kelly sang beautifully. It ended with whistling note. The dancers took Kelly to the trampoline. Kelly jumped on the trampoline.

That's why I can't let you, go!

She sang that part, ended with scream technique.

We fit together like one
Cause we stuck together like chains
That's why I can't let you go
You made me fly to cloud nine
And you gave me trampoline
That's why I can't let you go
That's why I can't let you go!

Kelly sang it beautiful. The backing vocalists and the dancers were on stage. They gave appreciation to the crowd along with Kelly. Kelly shouted "THATCHER CITY! THANK YOU SO MUCH!"

11 KWADAI

Image

KwaDaian artist Karim al Amari, is 23 years old his song "Save me from me", reflects upon his time spent living in school outside KwaDai between the ages of 13 and 17, where he was taunted about his religion and nationality amongst many other things he felt hated and alone and it had gotten to a bad enough level he attempted suicide, failing, music was his only salvation and upon his move back home to KwaDai, he pursued a career in music, greatly improving his lifestyle and giving him more self confidence, he also frequently does what he can to help suicide prevention awareness and groups. The song is meant as a message to show that suicide is never the right way to fix any problem and that everyone should always keep fighting their way to prevent it and the sad depressing lyrics, yet more alive tune, are meant to show Karim's mixed emotions at the time.

Karim, walked slowly onto the stage but not too slowly. This was it, he had wrote the song himself with a meaning and to reveal his story to the world and was ready to perform...

Standing all alone
No one to protect me from the growing threat
My taunting cries and misery envelope me evermore
And more, and more

Oh, sad eyes, empty hearts
Their cold eyes killing me
Strolling 'round nothing to do
Living days so hollow
The future is of no concern
The past is nothing
The present is misery
So...

Save me from me
I have no feelings
Anymore..
Take my love
Empty within
Chill my bones

Like a rock, I'm cold
Fleeting glimpses remind me what I've suffered through
Four walls are not enough
They will protect me, protect me...

Oh, sad eyes, empty hearts
Their cold eyes killing me
Strolling 'round nothing to do
Living days so hollow
The future is of no concern
The past is just nothing
The present is misery
So...

Save me from me
I have no feelings
Anymore..
Take my love
Empty within
Chill my bones

Oh, sad eyes, empty hearts
Their cold eyes killing me
Strolling 'round nothing to do
Living days so hollow
The future is of no concern
The past is just nothing
The present is misery
So...

Save me from me
I have no feelings
Anymore..
Take my love
Empty within
Chill my bones

Commentary on the 34th WorldVision Song Contest comes from Robert Baxter and Sam Smith.

Robert: Hello and welcome to WorldVision 34, coming to you live from Thatcher City in Mister X! We're back home!
Sam: We've got a cracking show in store. Stay tuned!
Robert: You may notice that Ronnie is not with us this edition, as he is spending time in prison for mentioning the opposite of capitalism without a license at the end of WorldVision 33.
Sam: Let's go, then! You may notice that there's no hosts this edition, fulfilling our pledge to "keep things running smoothly". As ever, I'll be doing our softness rating, and to vote, you dial 9 12 12 followed by the number of the country you want to win from a mobile or 01721 12 12
followed by the number of the country you want to win from a landline.

OPENING ACT

Robert: Nice to see Entourage back up on the WorldVision stage again, isn't it, Sam?
Sam: Yes, of course.
Robert: First up is, yippee, our former colony, Missus X!

01 MISSUS X

Robert: OH MY GOD WHAT DID I JUST WATCH!?
Sam: AAARGH!
Robert: OH MY GOD! THEY'VE KILLED OUR AUDIENCE!
Sam: KNIFE, LET'S MOVE ON!
Robert: WE CAN'T, WE HAVE TO TELL THE VIEWERS! CALM DOWN, SAM!
Sam: TovoteforMissusXdial9121201fromamobileor01721121201fromalandlinecanwemoveonPLEASE?

02 THE JASMINIA ISLANDS

03 THE SARIAN

Robert: A bit dull, for me. What do you think?
Sam: Me too. It's somewhere between butter and jam. I think it's mostly a jam song made buttery by the ending, so I'll go for jam.
Robert: To vote for The Sarian, dial 9 12 12 03 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 03 from a landline. Next up - oh gosh - it's Gregoryisgodistan.

04 GREGORYISGODISTAN

Robert: OH MY GOD! NOT AGAIN!
Sam: Four entries in, and our stage has already seen over 50,000 deaths and been set on fire twice. Why?
Robert: "Artistic license"?
Sam: Pfft. To vote for Gregoryisgodistan, not that you would want to, you dial 9 12 12 04 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 04 from a landline. Knife, by the way.

05 GREGORY LLAMA LAND

Robert: Gregory Llama Land speaking for all of us who are #UnitedAgainstGregoryisgodistan.
Sam: What's with the hashtag?
Robert: Sorry, Ekoz influences from last time.
Sam: Jam, nonetheless.
Robert: In any case, to vote for Gregory Llama Land, dial 9 12 12 05 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 05 from a landline.

06 SUMALTHERIA

Robert: Not bad at all, is it?
Sam: No one died and no one set our stage on fire. I'd consider that a resounding success at this rate.
Robert: Where does it go on the softness rating?
Sam: That is as bread as you can get. To vote for that lovely song from Sumaltheria, dial 9 12 12 06 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 06 from a landline.

07 KASANOVA-KORATICA

Robert: OH NO, NOT AGAIN!
Sam: Oh no. No. No one could do that.
Robert: Missus X all over again. Bread or knife?
Sam: Well, most of it was bread.
Robert: To vote for Kasanova-Koratica, dial 9 12 12 07 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 07 from a landline. Next up, here's Chris David, for Mister X! Come on Chris!

08 MISTER X

Sam: Yes!
Robert: Can we finally win it?
Sam: I hope so! That's a knife song, and you can't vote for the Mister Xian entry. Boo.

09 POLKOPIA

Sam: That's not bad, is it?
Robert: A power ballad like that might just win the thing. They're a real threat to Chris.
Sam: I agree.
Robert: Bread?
Sam: Bread. To vote for Polkopia, dial 9 12 12 09 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 09 from a landline.

10 TITANIUMLAND

Robert: Now, that's what I call a song.
Sam: It's not retro enough for me.
Robert: Remind me where your "retro" song came in WV32?
Sam: Point taken.
Robert: It was 27th, everyone.
Sam: So top 10 for this one?
Robert: Yes.
Sam: Knife, I think, then.
Robert: To vote for Titaniumland, dial 9 12 12 10 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 10 from a landline.

11 KWADAI

Robert: Such a sad story, but an insprational melody.
Sam: I agree. No one should have to go through that. That's a butter song.
Robert: To vote for Kwadai, dial 9 12 12 11 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 11 from a landline.

With the comfortable placing in WV33 with Kultaiset Pievos's "Stars", the Tödlichebujoki WorldVision committee decided to be more adventurous and selected a more unique entry for the 34th WorldVision Song Contest- VYY's "Stop Falling". The group's talent and unique approach caught the committee's attention amidst a sea of fairly average songs, especially paired with its diverse makeup. With members hailing from many of the different cultures found in Tödlichebujoku, it was one of the least homogenous groups to perform outside of the nation.

From left to right: Levente, Tuulikki, Fortunato, Kaleva, Mindaugas, Ryuu, and Alberich

Vielä Yksi Yö, more commonly known as VYY, was formed in Sterblichengokai and is known primarily on the crystallomatrix as a more acoustic group dabbling with a variety of genres. The group, made up of lead singer Helmi Tonakai, pianist Mindaugas, electric guitarist Fortunato, drummer Levente, trombonist Kaleva, baritone saxophonist Ryuu, and backing singers Alberich and Tuulikki (also Helmi's fiancée). Their soul entry "Stop Falling" was inspired by a historic poem that was stuck in Mindaugas's head one day and seems to be the breakthrough single for the group, if the music charts are anything to go by. VYY hopes, at the least, to gain international attention with their entry as their new album "Touching in the Candlelight" is due to be released soon.

Bold: Helmi
Italic: Backing singers only
Bold Italic: Helmi + backing singers

Helmi, wearing this dress (but with pink flower motifs instead of white stars), is standing in front of the band with backing singers Alberich and Tuulikki behind her to her left, who are all wearing solid black outfits. The stage briefly pulses with ice blue and then warms up to dark pink and gold. The background screen shows rose petals lazily drifting down. Levente starts off the song on the drums, followed by the rest of the instrumentalists. Helmi's head is facing down and her eyes are closed as the music begins and she sings the first lines

All those rose-tinted days of innocence
Those action-packed midnights
Maybe we could have gone right on
But for the faint hint of incense

She now looks up as the camera zooms in on her face, which appears dreamy but then soon sours. Alberich and Tuulikki harmonize with soft "oo-oohs"

Your sweet face was a masterpiece
You were always forgiving
I thought my love was genuine
'Till I unearthed what you had released

The lights darken to just vertical spotlights, with a pulsing red and black background. Helmi stares accusingly toward the camera

A celandine's dry root
A fritillary's wing
A balsam-fir's young cone
Bound by a wedding ring

The lights brighten slightly, and the colors and spotlights return to normal. Helmi looks down, as if pondering her situation

And now I wonder why
If this is all it was, naught but deceit
How could you live your life when you knew this love was fake
And I'm a puppet of your raging greed

The background depicts an exploding rose, followed by an animation of petals falling through a smoky mist, and a strong scent of incense wafts throughout the arena. Helmi looks into the camera with a crestfallen expression

But I can't stop falling for your mystic brew
For your mystic brew
I simply can't break through
For your mystic brew
Stop falling
Stop falling
Stop falling

Starry lights shine through the darkened arena, and Helmi's eyes are closed for the next few lines

I'm not sure what to think right now
Can't just stop the emotions
There are no spells that I can see
That could possibly release me

None that could release me now

Vertical spotlights turn on, and the pulsing red and black background returns, but the stage becomes darker. Helmi looks toward the camera, less accusingly this time but still not terribly friendly

So many things I've found
While you had left me be
So many things I've found
In corners rarely seen

The lighting returns to normal, but with the stage a faint beating red with flashes of pink, and the background screen showing a rose half intact. She looks away from the camera and the audience, as if unsure and perhaps as if shamed

But even though I'm shocked by you
And I despise your grip, control of me

Control of me
I can't ignore those nights and how I loved your moves
When I didn't know what you had done to me, yeah

The screen shows a rosepetal whirlwind followed by a smoky lightning strike and Helmi looks back up to the camera as if resigned to her fate

So I can't stop falling for your mystic brew
For your mystic brew
I simply can't break through
For your mystic brew
Stop falling
Stop falling
Stop falling

Ooh, for your mystic brew
I simply can't break through
For your mystic brew

Incense-scented smoke seeps out from the stage, and is pushed by a breeze around the group, and the arena darkens considerably. Red lights pulse around the stage to Ryuu's bari sax beat, and Helmi closes her eyes as she sings, settling into the vibe of the music as Alberich and Tuulikki echo her lines

Oh, oh, oh oh
Oh, oh, oh oh
Why, why, why why
Why, why, why why
Oh-ooh
Oh-ooh
Oh-ooh
Oh-ooh

The arena brightens, and the lights sweep out. The camera circles around Helmi as she lets her voice loose and her arm reaches out into the air

Ohh why, why, why why whyyy...

As Helmi sings the last word, Alberich and Tuulikki begin their own lines, crafting the climax of the performance and the camera view spirals around and above the group

And now I wonder why
Naught but deceit

Having finished her line and caught her breath, Helmi joins with her backing duo, clearly invigorated as she sings the next lines

How could you live your life
When I didn't know what you had done to me, yeah

Vertical lights alternate with the beat, and pink-red sparks rain down in front of the screen, which is showing rose petals falling into flames as Helmi and the duo belt out the final lines of the song

And I can't stop falling for your mystic brew, oh
For your mystic brew
I simply can't break through
For your mystic brew
Stop falling
Stop falling
Stop falling

Ooh, for your mystic brew
I simply can't break through

For your mystic-

They pause for effect, and fog begins to envelope the stage floor

For your mystic brew...

The smoke finally fully clears, and golden and pink-red lights sweep out horizontally from Helmi, then focus at her feet with her arms in the air

When the lights return to normal, Helmi yells, "Kiitos, Thatcher CIty! Thank you all!" and she lines up with the rest of the band at the front of the stage and they bow in unison to the applause of the audience before gathering up their equipment and leaving the stage.

13- BRITONISEA, The Grand British Kingdom of...

Mr. Liamson- Deceived by Polkopia--Broadcasters read below.
On the Pre-tour, It is not actually Deceived by Polkopia, but "Deceived by the world" as Mr Liamson doesn't know that his wife is actually in Polkopia. He finds out today. Look at what is going to happen! Also since the Broadcasters don't know about the Polkopian scandal, ALL Broadcasters say that Mr Liamson is singing "Decieved by the World"

Tune: Katy Perry's day!!: Wide Awake/I kissed a Girl

"Britonisea are going to catch you this edition, so watch out!"- Mr. Liamson

Mr Liamson has not being doing well very lately. He got a criminal record this month for public peeing in the bushes but was released on bail as he was in distress and there was insufficient evidence of whether the pee was his or the man who was actually infront of him. The security cameras weren't woking because, it got peed on. Anyway, Mr Liamson is very sad. his wife and two kids has disappeared of the face of the Earth and he doesn't know where they are. Initially, He though that this was the doing of Gregoryisgodistan as she wanted to go there to do some "business". I am obviously not going to tell you what happened am I? Mr Liamson found out that he has an amazing voice and he has audicioned for WOrldVision through the BVC's audition process and he won. This is a way to get to all of Britonisea's closest countries to see where his wife is! It is all going to kick of I tell ya!
BLUE= Background Singers, BLACK= Mr Liamson. RED= Wife, GREEN= Kids

TUNE: Wide Awake- Second Verse to chorus only.

Where are my kids?
Where is my wife?

At the moment, he is just looking up and down and there is a big spotlight going around everyone to see whether they can find the kids and the wife is in the crowd.

I wan't them back!
I really need them now.
I really love them, have you found out...
where they are?
Where are they, please help.

At the moment of time, there was a big picture of the wife, the kids and himself enjoying a nice day out in Mister X as they went to a theme park. He looked back at the picture and the picture of him was zoomed in and it faded away until you can see Mr.Liamson's face and the tears dripping down. The emotion.

Can you help?
I said I called, Yakostan...
Even Kishrael but they weren't there so It was left down to them..
Gregoryisgodistan! She said she wanted to do "business...!"
They said wow, we don't have your kids
And the wife
So I hated Greg...

When he said "Gregoryisgodistan" this showed up on the screen: #UnitedAgainstGregoryisgodistan, to be honest, us Britonish are not fased by these people, called Gregoryisgodistani but they can surely kick a ball. At hated greg there was a flag of Gregoryisgodistan and suddenly a big red X went over it. Like All Star Family Fourtunes. Some people thought it was actually a symbolism of Mister X though others got the message. Idiots.

Gregoryisgodistan!
You're not getting them back now!
Why'd you take my kids!
You're not getting them back now![
I called all the nations.
You're not getting them back now![
Maybe all the nations but why, oh why oh why??
You're not getting them back now![

Suddenly, the music scratched and The wife and his kids came up on the screens via skype. This was in the middle of the arena, this is what happened.

"Oh my gosh it is my babies and my wife"
PLEASE GIVE A CHEER FOR THE MISSING WIFE AND KIDS.
"I am not missing. I just went to Polkopia."
"What? I called you and Polkopia and NOTHING!"
"Babe that ain't my fault"

A gorgeous man came behind the wife and kissed her and they started to have a good time.

"Get off her you b*tch!, get of my wife. I want to see a representative of Polkopia."
"Daddy! Why are you on a stage in front of people, you are not good at karaoke
"Hi Kids. Oh so you are okay with seeing your mum with a bloke! KISSING?
Give it a rest.

After a breif intermission of Mr Liamson having an argument between 7 Polkopians in 3 minutes he went back on stage. The crowd loved the drama and was cheering but there was also some booing.

"Start the track"

Tune: I kissed a Girl

I am absolutely horrified!
My wife and kids are
Being looked after by another man!
What? This is stupid!

The camera was right in his face and his expression of his face was very angry. You can tell this by the look in his eyes. His eyes was red and he was sweating and his nice suit was ripped in to peices, probably by the Polkopians. His hair wasn't smooth and cut, it was up and it look like a total mess and his hair smelled up the stage. He was like a mad man but he sang this part with the most passion that any Britonish Performer Perfomed. Better than Tess Philipa in 32 and now Gregoryisgodistani belief Garange L'Iwes. This was all out there. A man from Britonisea, who worked in a good business and got about 75,000 USD (About 50,000 Britoes which is about the national rate) per year. Going back on the issue, he was even dancing and he isn't half bad you know.

The anger builds inside me
Why please, Sorry Greg hear me...
These Polkopians, took my wife
And they'll pay!

At "The Anger builds inside me" the whole stage went in to a red colour and there was what looked like fireball shot from one end of the arena to the other and men on unicycles came out with fire in there mouth and The Polkopian flag was then flagshipped across the arena alongside a BIGGER Britonish flag. He then kicked of his shoes... At the "Sorry Greg" the Gregoryisgodistani flag came back on the screen and there was a big green tick!

Deceived by Polkopia!
My heart is so heartbroken
I really thought, I got her
I was married to my wife for a long time.

Just be free was shown on all of the screens around the arena it was amazing and also it was spelt out on the arena's seats used by lighting by Peter. Whad'up Peter!

This handsome bloke from Polkopia
Decides to take my family!
These 7 officials get on my nerves!
----
Deceived by Polkopia...

Polkopia's flag... And the seven officials looking at him and giving some weird eye gestures at him. The handsome bloke wasn't that handsome. He was moderate looking.

I have a few expletive words
For that "crusader"
Oh he must think that he's the man?
Ahh I nuke him and his neighbours.

As you can probably see, "crussader" was emphasised and he did the speak marks with his fingers! What a rebel! At "He's the man" you can see the Question marks on the main stage. At expletive, there was a list of bad words on the stage.

It has to be done, yeah!
He will die in the end
I feel so sad and mad
My brain is hurting!

Picture of a brain, like duuh!

Deceived by Polkopia!
My heart is so heartbroken
I really thought, I got her
I was married to my wife for a long time.

He looked at his 300 Britoes watch, bracelet and his ring and threw it in to the crowd so the audience really got a bargin tonight.

This handsome bloke from Polkopia
Decides to take my family!
These 7 officials get on my nerves!
----
Deceived by Polkopia...

At this moment, Mr Liamson was forced of staged as the backing tracked finished and he was over his limit as the next performer needed to perform NOW! When Mr.Liamson went off stage he kept on singing to the acts who has performed before him before giving such a dirty look at the act(s) for Polkopia. Jeez! He was actually quite angry because he had to cancel his performance at KwaDai to perform here so he was a bid angry. But Mr Liamson will be their tomorrow so don't worry!

Mr Liamson for postcard.

14 - the Holy Republican Empire
God's Will, Performed by Zurie Tanguay & The Holy Ladies, written by Lady Gabrielle Kulseth
Tune: This terrible song

Zurie Tanguay & The Holy Ladies slowly walked onto the stage, with their heads covered in accordance with the teachings of the True Church of Iesus Christus and with their bodies covered in the latest fashions from St. Petrus. Before she began to sing, Zurie decided to say a few words to the audience:

Zurie Tanguay wrote:My, oh my! Has there been alot of hate, wickedness and sin today or what? Is this really the way you want to live your lives? Just think about that, OK?

Zurie began her song:

I hear the lost souls saying,
That life has no meaning.
I want to tell them,
that there is a Purpose to it all.

I see the sinners, frightened,
Young, but with old eyes,
I want to say you can be Free,
You can be happy, and not fear.

Zurie's performance was very low on the theatrics. She wanted the focus to be on the Message and, besides, she wasn't one to attract unnecessary attention to herself, nor were the singers.

Its all a part of God's Will,
He has planned it all...
And if you just reach out to Him...
You will find, that... He is Love,

In fact, this was exactly the performance that Lady Kulseth wanted. The wife of Consul Kulseth, the Lady had been the reason why the Holy Party decided to sponsor a World Vision entry...

Loud voices raised in blasphemy
Speak evil words, such wicked words,
Why must they speak of God in such a way?
When He has so much He can do for them.

So let your heart be open,
when He reaches out with all His love,
There are no sinners now
We are all sisters now,
And we are submitting to His Will.

As the song had been written before the Gregoryisgodistani performance, this was not at all the response to Gregoryisgodistan that it appeared to be...

Its all a part of God's Will,
He has planned it all...
And if you just reach out to Him...
You will find, that... He is Love,

He is Love...
He is Love...

Miss Tanguay finished her song and decided to use the opportunity to say a few more words to the audience:

Zurie Tanguay wrote:If there is anybody here today who does not know Iesus Christus, I urge you to reach out to Him. He is waiting, with unconditional Love for you and a Plan for your lives. All you have to do is submit to his Will and you will know True Happiness! So, join your local True Church already! I don't want any of you to burn in Infernus, so please do it for my sake, if not for yours!

15. IZMEDU
ANTHONY BERNARDINI – UNTIL THE END

Language: English
To the tune of: Sergej Cetkovic - Moj Svijet

Anthony Bernardini was regarded as one the premier adult contemporary singers in Izmedu, a stalwart on the charts and a household name in his country. With years of experience behind him, this was not Anthony's first rodeo on a big stage. However, as the first ever WorldVision representative of Izmedu, Anthony felt a great weight of being the Izmeduan representative. He felt pressure from his delegation and his own country to give the largely unknown country a good placing. Anthony now realized just how much of a pressure cooker WorldVision was. The atmosphere in the arena could've potentially sent him into a panic attack. It was easy to think about what the media scrutiny from the press here or from the press back home, but Anthony tried hard not to think about that. As the last song ended, it was go time. As Anthony readied himself, he wanted to make sure that he would give a performance that would enthrall the international audience and the Izmeduans back home. Anthony swore to give WorldVision glory to his country. Taking a deep breath, he stepped onto the stage...

The stage was bathed in darkness for a few seconds until a red hue started to gradually display on the screen. On the stage was Anthony, standing at the center near the back of the stage, a light just barely illuminating him. For the performance, Anthony decided to don a black velvet suit with black dress pants, preferring to keep it simple.

A small flute melody played, with the camera fading into a female flutist who was on the far left of the stage. Then the camera slowly zoomed away from the flutist as the melody repeated itself with more instrumentation. A female violinist was revealed to be situated on the right side of the stage as the camera zoomed out away far enough to show the whole stage. Anthony is already walking towards center stage as the melody continues, with the screens behind him evoking subtle images of a world in ruin. With faint shadows of derelict buildings and structures in ruin nestled in the red hues, giving off an erratic gray pattern if one didn't look close enough.

Don't cry
Even though the world is cruel
I'll protect you from monsters
I will

Anthony sang softly, using a tender tone and making hand motions to suggest that he was carressing a loved one. As he sang, the faint shadows on the red hues started to blacken, revealing buildings in ruin that could be mistaken for paintings in a canvas.

I know
That you want this pain to end
But don't lose sight
Of love around you

The camera remained squarely on Anthony as he sang the latter part of the first verse. Behind him, the red hues had intensified further, making the black outlines of the world in ruin stand out even further. As he sang, he occasionaly reached his free arm out to the audience, evoking an image of Anthony trying to comfort his lover.

Though all seems lost
Just hold my hand
And don't lose faith...

The camera faded to a zoomed out view of Anthony looking out into the distance as he sang the hook to the chorus. One could see the whole LED screen, with the red hue fading along with the black outlines. The instrumentation then went silent as Anthony sang 'faith...'

I am, your guiding light
And I'll be, your beacon of hope

The instrumentation returned when Anthony started the chorus, with the LED screen now bathed in red along with the drawings of ruined buildings.

Rest your weary soul
Know that I am here
Until the end

The buildings on the LED screen started to 'repair' themselves as Anthony sang. The red hue started to gradually turn orange as the buildings started to take on more detail, with the complete image looking more and more alive. It looked like a city skyline in sunset.

Once the instrumental interlude started, the camera quickly shifted to a view of the whole stage, while occasionally moving to take a closer look at the people walking around the stage. The violinist and flutist started to walk closer to the center of the stage. The backing singers, of which there were two, entered the stage from the left but did not walk to the center.

The buildings on the LED screen morphed into green flatlands that seemed to move as if the screen itself were a windshield of a car. The orange hue eventually became yellow as the flatlands then turned into a mountain.

I am! Your eternal love!
And I'll be, your anchor in a cruel world!

At the key change, the camera shifted closer to Anthony and the yellow hue on the screen became a sky blue. He held his arms at as he sang the first line, injecting as much power and emotion as he could at the beginning of the song's climax.

I would give my life
To keep you safe, even if I die
I would never be whole
Unless I'm with you
Until the end

Even though the music was at its loudest, Anthony made sure to keep his voice tender as he sang. The camera switched to a closer shot of Anthony as he sang 'I would give my life,' and proceeded to continue focusing mainly on Anthony.

The camera then switched to an aerial view behind Anthony and the audience as he sang the last line before the second instrumental interlude. The violinist, flutist, and two backup singers were now nearby Anthony, though were not flanking him. The performers were arranged in a close v-formation, with Anthony being at the very center.

As the instrumental continues, the camera goes towards the audience and turns backward as soon as some distance asreached, creating a temporary motion blur effect as the screen and stage are shown. The screen showed the mountains moving towards the audience, mimicking what the camera had done just earlier. The yellow hue above the mountains morphed into a sky blue, which simulated a bright and clear sky. The mountains themselves were also covered with bright green grass and dotted with flowers, making the screen look like a scene from the spring season.

The view is then faded into Anthony with his hand reached out, a loving smile on his face.

Don't be afraid
I promise you, there'll be no more pain
Love will never die
For I am here
Until the end!

The song's abrupt ending with a sudden musical bang had lights suddenly flashing down on the five people on the stage, all of them striking poses. The screen's image also stopped moving, now merely showing static, but beautiful mountains under a blue sky.

“Hvala Izmedu! Thank you WorldVision!!!” Anthony shouted to the microphone as the crowd cheered.

/ 16 - Yttribia /
/ The Products of Kennex - Kay, Your Guy Sings /

/ Language(s): English /

To the tune of: The Heinrich Maneuver by Interpol

Image
Top row, left to right: Raoul Stacey, drums; Gustavo Palmer, bass; Alex Vann, rhythm guitar
Bottom row, left to right: Jools Ingolfsson, lead guitar; Shane Guadarrama, vocals/piano

The five band members who studied at the Universitaet Dahlen make their way to the stage in Thatcher City. All five of them have come out in regular attire, opting out of the matching suits the heads of the Yttribian Broadcasting Corporation had wanted them to wear. After logistical reasons prevented the Yttribian delegation to be represented at last WorldVision, it was now time to make a return to glory. For Shane Guadarrama, it was time to sing about his shitty, soon to be ex-girlfriend. And he was breaking up with her in front of thousands, with an audience of millions watching. The bright lights were turned on as Shane began to sing.

Well, why are we now toast?
You're spiffy like a dime
Now come with me, my love
Us on the loose, the emotions take flight
So tell me why we're now toast
You're such a doll, showing off your might
And tensions flake
We whined, but you know the turning tides?
Now it's time to test most
Oh I'd waste time with snarky eyes.

The band began to play the notes leading in to the chorus with great ease, as they watched the crowd start to dance along with the song. A display of intense lighting went off as the chorus was sung, turning The Park Cottage into a massive rave zone. This was, after all, the return of Yttribian music to WorldVision.

Kay, Your Guy Sings
Because: Kay, This Guy Sings
Yet I don't wanna call you 'tart'
And it's no god-damn mystery
No, you've broken this heart, before
My God
Y'know: Kay, Your Guy Sings
Yes today, I'm now free

The exciting chorus returned to the smoother guitar riff led by Jools Ingolfsson, as the rest of the band played their hearts out, knowing that this was going to be the performance of a life time for them. Alex Vann, Raoul Stacey, and Gustavo Palmer couldn't believe that the next lines being sung were even allowed by the Broadcasting Corporation. Nonetheless, they played. They played hoping that they wouldn't break their straight face, and watch as the intense white lighting became somewhat darker, in an indigo fashion.

You sucked soft at most
Hear that lover is doing fine tonight
With no clues, I break my bide
I've no clues
I want an answer tonight
Well, how do you wanna boast?
And you call this madness
In eternal fright

The intense lighting returned, as the chorus slash riff slash whatever you wanted to call it was played yet again by the band.

Y'know, Kay, your guy sings
Yeah, Kay, this guy sings
Bring it
And I don't wanna call you 'tart'
Since I've finally achieved liberty
No, you've broken this heart, before
My God
Y'know: Kay, Your Guy Sings
Yes today, I'm now free

A small pause was taken after the final line, as both Alex Vann and Jools Ingolfsson engaged in a battle of the guitarists, just to see who could steal the spotlight from the other band members throughout the show. Shane was getting intense with his hatred for Kay, knowing that within a couple of minutes, he would finally break up with her. He began to sing with excitement, knowing that the ending was inevitable.

Sing it!
Because Kay, this guy sings
Yes today, this song sings

With one final breath, Shane began to sing his favorite verses of the entire song, the ones he had been rehearsing for such a while now. He knew that with these couple of lines, he would pull off the ballsiest move in the history of WorldVision.

Bring it on
Since I won't deal with you in my life
Now with a chance to show your crimes
Going to sing all of your damn lies
Brush it off
Ta-king a brand new stride
Now with a chance
That I may be alright
Since I can now try and fix my life!

Because this free man sings!

At the final strum of the guitar, the crowd went wild, realizing the clever trick that had been done. The five band members set their instruments down, and all made their way to the center. The whole band bowed to the audience, sending them loves and kisses galore. They headed off the stage, with no idea how the voting would turn out.

18. HAFAMARIMËT
SONG: Nëjkheda Sa
ARTIST: Sarjë Vnöksaja

MUSIC & LYRICS: Sarjë Vnöksaja
Translation: Reignite Me
Tune: Start a Fire by Dilara Kazimova

The arena is bathed in a grim red. Sarjë is wearing a very oversized striped black and white sweater with the bottom cut off to reveal the top of her black high-waisted denim leggings, the bottoms of which are covered by ankle-high boots that are incredibly worn out. She sits at a piano and begins to play. The camera catches her from a 3/4 angle from the waist up.
Nifem vämćüjk kumta cićad jen e ku
Nifem umo nisetu sa cusafranaku
Hudrek pid rana dnëcedhüjt alru KM yfö

I'll run through the fields of golden sunset air
I'll run just to remind myself I have somewhere to go
there's nothing here but the echo of highways that are miles away

Sarjë stands to face the audience. Behind her, a woman in a leotard is slowly illuminated with white light as she pirouettes and revoltades atop a small, dark grey platform about six feet high. Different camera angles catch her, alternating with shots of Sarjë feeling the cold pain in this verse.

Ët nifem frema pnëlraći tno ët mäjac tnub
Nifem idem tüc yna knau ët krejanek
Hudrek pid rana vnuć fedranat änćo ynüjt lërek

And I'll run as the branches dry up and shed leaves
I'll run until the days are grey and I'm shivering
there's nothing here but a withered frost clinging weakly around my ears

All the lights in the arena flash bright white at separate times, creating a strobe effect for a brief moment. The camera shows the stage from the middle of the arena, with a spotlight on Sarjë. The strobe ends as she begins to sing the chorus. A wind machine gently blows her hair and the camera focuses on her, though the dancer can be seen out-of-focus in the background. She holds her gaze straight ahead (though not into the camera) until the final line, when the weight of her sadness is too heavy not to look away.

"Nëjkheda sa"

If you're not here to run back to
If you're not here to kiss me in welcome
How will I be able to beg like I need to:
"Reignite me"

The camera focuses on the dancer as the red/white wash returns to the stage. Eventually she slides to the ground along a corner of the platform, which begins to glow a pale pastel blue (nearly identical to the color of Sarjë's hair). Meanwhile, Sarjë climbs up stairs on the back of the platform and reveals herself at the beginning of the second line. The platform gets brighter through the last line.
Dregat e ëcafnym vemt sü ćynćije hul
Oi ćynämdesa eć oi ćbägekmega
Pid poje caat umo elalumüjnat ćineca

I thought I might find some answers in the stars
You were always staring at them like they were speaking to you
But all I saw was an ice-colored sunrise

The grim red lights return to illuminate Sarjë. The dancer sways, spins, kneels, and at points, rolls on the ground. The camera cuts to Sarjë immediately after the third line as she braces herself for the bitter emotional intensity of the upcoming plea. With the first 'da,' the platform immediately turns a bright red. The lights in front of Sarjë go out and the ones behind her switch to white and intensify, outlining her in bright white while she glows red. The camera focuses on her, though pulls out slowly on the second line and the dancer, who is now in front of the piano, pirouettes rapidly before slowing down and slowly melting into a pose.

Ruf pak e lë haatyć:
"Nëjkheda sa, nëjkheda sa"

And if you're not here to run back to
If you're not here to kiss me in welcome
How will I be able to beg like I need to:
"Reignite me, reignite me"

The grim red returns. Exhausted, Sarjë sinks to her knees. She looks out during the first line, but her head drops as she sings the second.
Mad pak e oi haatyć:
Nëjkheda sa

Please let me beg like I need to:
Reignite me

Sarjë lets her head rest for a moment before picking it up and giving the strongest "thank you" she can give. Admittedly, it sounds weak, but she means it; the performance has drained her quite a bit. She takes a breath and is able to produce a louder:
Thank you, Thatcher City.

Good evening Hafamarimët! Yes, it's the moment we've all been waiting for. Tonight we make our return to the WorldVision Song Contest. As you probably know, she's been all over the late night shows promoting and she's damn charming, this year BCH chose Sarjë Vnöksaja to represent us with the song "Nëjkheda Sa" ("Reignite Me").
This is the 34th WorldVision Song Contest and it's the first one we've been in since WorldVision 30. We got our best result then - a chilly 18th. Hopefully Thatcher City and Mister X will treat us better than that. This is the Park Cottage, a large and modern enough arena that can provide some...interesting visuals.
For now, here's the opening act by a band that seems to be popular here.

[OPENING ACT]

Not much of a segue, no hosts to meet - maybe tonight will be smooth.
Tonight's first performance was so disgusting, it's been censored. Not by us, mind you, not by the BCH but by people above us. And for good reason; it centered around unnecessary depictions of brutal rape and violence. As jokes. So we're playing the audio for you, but feel free to go do something else, go make another drink or get a snack, it doesn't matter.

[01. MISSUS X]

In case you forgot in the few years we didn't participate, this is WorldVision. It's the only thing like it, and that's probably for the best. Our second entry tonight is from the Jasminia Islands. I'd tell you more, but they've been pretty secretive with their act. So secretive, in fact, that I can't tell you about it right now. I'd say watch for yourself, but you might not see anything.

[02. THE JASMINIA ISLANDS]

Delightful. Up third is the Sarian. The Sarian what, I'm not sure. They've sent a spooky-looking girl who is in no uncertain terms angry with us. She wants us to regret it, and we do. I don't know, revenge always seems a bit unsavory. Great tune, though, so you decide.

[03. THE SARIAN]

She certainly has talent. I just wonder if maybe she doesn't have some growing up to do. Up next, perennial absurd favorites Gregoryisgodistan threaten another nation. Ah, yes, nothing like a music festival to bring out the pacifist in all of us. Here's Singer XXXU88W88W - and that's one of the more intelligible names you get there - take us away.

[04. GREGORYISGODISTAN]

I don't know about you, but I need another drink.

Andrei: Yes, let's see Mario Kozanovski now.

On the stage, Mario was on a chair, holding his guitar and started playing his guitar and so the song began.

I don't know but for some reason
I fell in love with you
Your eyes just make me
Wanna smile all time

Why aren't you coming here
I'll be your protector
I'll always be near you
Don't worry ever again

Your eyes are just so beautiful
I wanna watch them all the time
I just can't stop watching your eyes
I feel nice when I do so

Why aren't you coming here
I'll be your protector
