Factory Farming in Your Country

Postby Pan-freeland » Tue May 25, 2010 3:35 pm

Does Your Nation have Factory Farming?
What kind of regulations on meat do you have?
Is meat banned in your nation?
In Pan-Freeland Factory Farming Only takes up 30% of the market(as opposed to the U.S 70%) And even then the Requirement on Space, Drugs, And Outdoor time are much more strict than a lot of nations. However because of this there are few International food chains in our nation(Like MCdonalds). That Being Said we have our own Restaurants which have much higher standards......

We were unaware that factories could be grown on farms. perhaps your nation would consent to sharing this amazing new technology with us?

And no, meat is most certainly NOT banned in our nation. In fact, meat is a very important staple our diet, with multitudes of fime recipes for all manner of meats.

Does Your Nation have Factory Farming?
*Yes

What kind of regulations on meat do you have?
*Must be free of disease
Is meat banned in your nation?
*God no why would we do that?

Factory Farming only takes up about 22% of our total meat farming most people have large farms/ranches and sell to local small business or big interantional chains like, Wendys, or Lusitanian Burgers inc. The only regulations we have is that the food is safe to eat other than that it is inbetween the costomer and the chain.
Dammed Marxists running about buggering sheep, and other such mischief. We really must do something about that.

Being a fairly "primitive" nation of Ainu, what some of you would call "Neko," we do not engage in such modern techniques. Farms here are normally privately owned, relatively small arrangements.

No regulations on meat exist. That is not the King's place.

Does Your Nation have Factory Farming?
We have all sizes of farms from small to large but we don't classify any of them as "factory farms".

What kind of regulations on meat do you have?
There are health regulations for live animals as well as for processed meat products. Once the meat has been purchased by the consumer, there are no further regulations - i.e. you can do whatever you want with it.

Is meat banned in your nation?
Meat is considered a necessary part of every meal. In fact, it is technically legal to eat vegetarians, though it is technically illegal to kill them first.

No, but hunting and killing an animal of Maraquean origin, as well as the sale and purchase of animal and animal byproducts of Maraquean origin are illegal.

We don't have them, firstly because we're not big enough to have them, and secondly because it is a barbarically disgusting institution. Whilst we must import upwards of 95% of our meat products we are sure to only allow the purchase of free range animals to be consumed in Flatia.

Factory farming is a how most meat grown in Satirius is made, accounting for 85% of annual meat production, although vat-grown tissue has started to take a foothold in the markets for lower-grade meat.

Quality is regulated by the fear of a costly class action lawsuit, where fines are always above eight figures, to ensure that the market is always focused on delivering actual goods and not repackaging industrial waste.

Does Your Nation have Factory Farming? The Adrian Empire makes extensive use of factory farming, to the point of industrialism, the majority of Adrian Food, be it meat, fish, bread, fruit and vegetables are made in large urban factory farms, some of which can tower hundreds of stories high, producing and processing food stuffs. Some community built factory farms act as greenhouses with supplemental food supplies. Excess produce is sold to raise money for community projects.
What kind of regulations on meat do you have? Meat is subject to a slightly higher rate of consumption tax (10% as opposed to 5%), and owners must obviously not commit acts of animal cruelty but other then that absolutely no regulation.
Is meat banned in your nation? No, of course not

Imperial Factory Farming is a curious thing, as opposed to the traditional sense, Adrian Factory Farming is very much ethical, animals are kept in stockades that filled with quick-growing long grass and are fairly free to move about, this is what the consumer has demanded. And Citizens will not by from factories that haven't not be approved by a third party as officially humane. Of course per Adrian Religious Custom, deaths must be performed with quick methods like cutting of the throat. Whilst the butcher recites a prayer for the deceased animal thanking God for the food. Naturally such care should be expensive, but this hasn't been reflective in the market so far. The Empire even levies meat sales, mostly to capitalize and potentially dissuade over eating of meat and meat by-products though we disdain such methods

We have vast factories where vat grown meat and hydrophobic vegetables are grown.
So most of our "farming" is done in factories.

Premium vegetables and animals are still farmed the traditional way.

We have regulations on the methods of slaughter that may be used on animals and death must be instant in all cases or it will be animal cruelty.

So-called "factory farming" practices are generally outlawed among Kawaiians, because many of them run afoul of our Jihi Code that regulates animal husbandry. Meat in general is not banned, but the Code does regulate which meats and animal products are lawful for consumption and which are not.

Factory farming is a major part of our farming industry as it provides 60% of our total food produced in all. Though there are regulations that prohibit pesticides and other chemicals and poisons from being put in food.

We prefer to farm the old fashioned way. Lots of serfs strapped to plows. Draft animals are too good for their lot.
